The owner or manager was very kind from the moment we arrived until we left; despite being an older woman, she managed to make herself understood without speaking English by using a translator to explain everything.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026Una experiencia preciosa en un hanok tradicional. El alojamiento es muy bonito, con mucho encanto y un ambiente auténtico y muy tranquilo, perfecto para descansar. La cama era muy cómoda y dormimos genial. Como único detalle, el baño es un poco estrecho, pero no empaña la experiencia. El desayuno estaba delicioso y, sobre todo, la amabilidad de la dueña fue de 10: atenta, cercana y siempre dispuesta a ayudar. ¡Sin duda, volvería!

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Alojamiento tradicional en el hanbok. Muy bien ubicado. Llegamos sobre las 9:30 de la mañana y la dueña muy maja, nos dejó ya hacer el check in y entrar en la habitación. El desayuno es de estilo coreano pero está bien.
Tuvimos que dejar los zapatos fuera de la habitación , como es habitual en Corea. Lo malo es que quedaban en el exterior y ese día llovió mucho y aunque no se mojaron porque había una especie de tejadillo que los tapaba , se notaba la humedad en ellos.

Reviewed Jul 17, 2026Nice old property - friendly and helpful manager/owner. Nice seating in garden right in the centre of the Hanok village.
Not the property’s fault but our neighbours in the room next to us seemed unable to understand that it’s an old building so the walls are thin and/or made of actual paper and it might be polite to other guests to keep their voices down. The property owner could remind guests of this I guess but also some people are just rude so it’s hard to police this!

La propriétaire est sympa comme les portes d'une prison. Jamais un bonjour et Jamais souriante ni aimable. Lors de notre départ, elle a essayé de rentrer dans la chambre plusieurs fois avant l'heure à laquelle nous devions libérer la chambre. Le petit déjeuner est minable : un sandwich et deux morceaux de fruit. Le même café est resservi le lendemain (la cafetière le soir n'avait pas été vidée pour economiser). La douche est froide ; on avait qu'une envie partir loin. Nous avons beaucoup voyage, ; c'est la première fois que nous avons une aussi mauvaise expérience. Nous avions choisi cette chambre sur la base des commentaires précédents ; désolé mais ils sont totalement infondés.

Que cuando reserve, ya hace 6 meses, se anunciaban como típica experiencia dormir en tatami y mi sorpresa fue que había cama, busqué de nuevo en booking, y han actualizado las fotos, con camas! 🤷🏻♀️

El baño es pequeño y puede sentirse incómodo Pero se entiende, ya que se hizo una adecuación en una casa de más de 100 años para ofrecer el servicio.

Le seule point négatif est la taille des serviettes. Pas de grande serviettes pour la douche.

Reviewed May 31, 2026Es gab ein kleines Frühstück, es war ok. Die Lage ist fantastisch, man erreicht alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß und ist mitten im Hanok Village. Es gibt viele Restaurants in der Nähe. Die Inhaberin ist sehr gut zu erreichen und sehr bemüht. Wir haben ein zusätzliches Bettzeug bekommen. Der Komfort eines Hanoks ist schwierig zu bewerten, kein Vergleich zu einem Hotel.
Das Zimmer war etwas kleiner als in anderen Hanoks. Aufgrund der dünnen Wände kann man laute Nachbarn schnell hören.

Reviewed May 20, 2026We enjoyed our stay immensely. Tucked away from the busy streets of Jeonju, but close enough to walk and be right in the heart of the city. There is plenty of restaurants, sites and things to do. This is a traditional hanok so heated floors and cushioned bed mats, A private bathroom. If you arrive via train or bus take an Uber its about 15 minutes getting there and back. The hanok village is not close to either station. Once your there everything you need is within walking distance. The breakfast served until 9 am was good; a tomato jam toast and fruit, it was enough to fuel us for a bit of wandering. Translation application Papago was helpful for communicating with the host, she made our stay comfortable. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
Its tiny but thats part of the charm and adventure. If you go on a weekday it will be quieter than a weekend. ( You can hear your neighbor snore). Bring earplugs, otherwise have fun!

Reviewed May 7, 2026The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, with a practical and well-designed bathroom. The entire place was incredibly quiet and relaxing. The staff was always available and helpful, and the lady managing the property was truly kind and welcoming throughout the whole stay. Breakfast was simple but unforgettable and I still think about it. The location was perfect: the moment you step outside, you are already immersed in traditional Korean culture. At the same time, it is just a few steps from a main street, making it very easy to get around using public transport. On the early morning of my departure, it was raining heavily. I stepped outside the room and sat under the covered area, just watching and listening to the rain. The smell of the rain combined with the traditional architecture created a moment I will never forget. I am truly grateful for having been hosted there.

Reviewed May 3, 2026Les lits étaient confortables, de vrais futons. Situé idéalement par rapport au hanok et Jamal Village. Les petits déjeuners coréens éraient très bons. L'hébergement était silencieux.
Nous n'avons pas trop aimé les oreillers remplis de grains de riz. Nous les avons trouvés très durs. Mais sûrement que cela conviendra mieux à d'autres personnes.

Reviewed Apr 29, 2026Gohyundang is in the middle of Jeonju hanok village. So even at night you are close to everything. Also the place feels like a real home and it has a healthy breakfast.
For me the bedding, sunlight in the morning, early breakfast until 9 AM and heavy tourist trap feel of Jeonju hanok village turned out to be undoable. I thought I would be able to handle it, but I physically couldn't.

Trop de luminosité via les fenêtres. Dormir au sol, trop difficile, mais nous voulions au moins vivre une expérience dans un hAnok. Une nuit c’est faisable.

The rooms do not have a soundproof system at all. Therefore, if you have a not nice neighbor, you would be a bit tired.
