What I loved most was the atmosphere. The hotel is chilled, classy, and vibrant without being loud. The style is very trendy. Every corner is picture-perfect, with thoughtful touches that feel cozy. And the relaxation is exactly what I needed. Quiet mornings by the pool with gentle sea breeze. Time just slowed down. Can't wait to come back.

Location was great, close to town and some great restaurants. Walking distance to the night market. The beach is nice and great for long walks. Rooms were comfortable and roomy.

They only have 2 bicycles so we could not cycle round as a family, but I recommend doing a bike ride.

Beautiful property, but unfortunately one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had at this price point. We stayed three nights in a private pool villa and were placed directly next to a construction site. The construction noise was significant and, more importantly, workers and a crane had direct visibility toward the villa and pool, which completely undermined the privacy we expected from a private pool villa. The least the hotel could have done was inform guests about the construction before arrival. Many hotels in Thailand do this when there is ongoing construction on or around the property, allowing guests to make an informed decision before booking. We also experienced several maintenance issues during the stay, including a bathtub that wasn’t working when we arrived and an unpleasant smell coming from the toilet. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service and the way our concerns were handled. On one occasion, we went for lunch at around 2:10 PM and were pressured to move inside because the outdoor area would be closing at 3 PM for dinner setup, despite explaining that we would eat quickly. As hotel guests staying at the property, this felt unnecessarily pushy. Later that evening, when we wanted to dine outside, the restaurant manager made us feel that restaurant regulars were more important than hotel guests. Her manner was extremely rude and condescending, and there was no reason for the interaction to be handled that way. I raised this with the front desk, but received no meaningful apology or acknowledgement. At checkout, after explaining all of these issues again, the hotel offered a discount worth less than 3% of the total bill. I found this response particularly disappointing given the overall experience and the amount spent during our stay. The property itself has always had great vibes, but unfortunately the quality of the service seems to have declined significantly. At this price point, I expect much better service.

Кстати, есть сауна, хотя по фотографиям сауны не было, перснонал также не говорил о наличии сауны, которая расположена напротив тренажерного зала в ТУАЛЕТЕ )) Сауна, кстати мне понравилась.

Требуют положить деньги на депозит (наличными или только кредитной картой). О чем конечно я узнал по прибытию, не читал в подтверждении брони.

A bit noisy at my canopy villa location, which was at the back near the staff area. Not sure what it was, but it sounded like an area for restocking supplies so I heard a lot of talking and some loud bangs and noises.

We found the additional services offered, in particular the spa, very expensive and therefore decided to book these elsewhere.

Ein tolles Hotel mit sehr freundlichem, aufmerksamen und zuvorkommend Personal. Auch die Küche kann man sehr empfehlen, sei es am Pool zum kleinen Lunch oder auch im Restaurant.

It’s very odd that a 5-star resort does not have drinking water at the pool. They charge around USD$4 for a water and you sure need more than one! Making safe drinking water available at a resort of this nature should not be optional. Even budget airlines are obliged to provide water on every flight.

What Brought Us Here A Thai friend who has been living in Hua Hin long-term highly recommended the food and atmosphere here, so staying at The Standard and trying the restaurants was already on my list. I’m happy to say it exceeded expectations. The food was genuinely outstanding, especially the tuna larb and spicy shrimp salad. Chef Miew personally came over to ask detailed questions about what we liked and didn’t like, which made us feel truly cared for. The People Are the Reason We’ll Return If there were an option to give 1,000 points for service, I would. The biggest highlight of our stay was the team at Praça. If we return to The Standard, it will be because of them. Every single person made us feel welcome, and more importantly, made our dog feel welcome too. Our dog Simba absolutely adored the team and would happily walk over to visit them on his own. They even braided his fur one evening! Special thanks to Chita, Jill, Fah, Faii, Bomb, Mean, bartender Natt, and Tae, as well as everyone else whose names I may have missed. You made this trip incredibly meaningful for both me and Simba. I sincerely hope this review brings a smile to your faces because the happiness you created for us deserves recognition. Reception Team That Convinced Us to Stay Longer The reception team was wonderful as well. A special thank you to the pink-haired receptionist who patiently showed villa options to my very picky friend (sorry, friend!). Her help ultimately convinced us to extend our stay from two nights to three. A Truly Dog-Friendly Experience The Standard is already one of the most dog-friendly hotels I’ve experienced. The dog ice cream was a huge hit. Simba became obsessed with it and seemed to know exactly when we were heading to the café because it meant another ice cream day. The café team clearly loves dogs, and it shows. More importantly, our dog wasn’t just tolerated here—he was genuinely welcomed and loved. Food & Breakfast Highlights Breakfast was excellent. I especially loved the build-your-own noodle station. The minced pork and minced chicken were delicious, and the broth—both the clear soup and tom yum version—was among the best I’ve ever had. If I could make one suggestion, I would love to see shrimp rice porridge or pork rice porridge added to the breakfast menu. On the days when braised beef was served, I would have enjoyed it even more if the beef had been a little more tender. I also want to thank Chef Jaa and Chef Sebastian, who actively sought feedback about breakfast. It was refreshing to see a culinary team that genuinely values guest opinions and makes you feel heard. Afternoon Refreshments The complimentary refreshments around 3 PM were another highlight. The team kept everything replenished so generously that guests never felt awkward about helping themselves. It made us feel genuinely appreciated and became part of our daily routine. Suggestions for Improvement The team already does an amazing job caring for dogs, but a few additions would make the experience even better: * A dog wash or rinse station for cleaning off after the beach. * More leash tie-up points around the property. As the owner of a large dog, I sometimes worried about him accidentally bumping into furniture. * A fenced off-leash dog park would be absolutely fantastic. One Small Challenge The outdoor seating area can get quite hot during the day, and there were quite a few mosquitoes. That said, the staff responded immediately every time. The moment we mentioned the mosquitoes, someone appeared with repellent, and another team member brought over a fan. The service couldn’t have been better; it’s simply an environmental challenge. Final Thoughts Beautiful property, excellent food, and outstanding hospitality. What truly sets this hotel apart is its people. Every interaction felt genuine, warm, and thoughtful. Few places make both guests and their dogs feel this welcome. Thank you for creating such a memorable stay. We look forward to coming back.

The location is next to the beach then the atmosphere in every area is ver great. Apart from the beach, lot of well-care garden around, it creates piece of mind, calm and vey good atmosphere. Room is very well designed with practical function. Tips: Nong Eew and Dada at from desk is a specialist in photography. If you are solo traveler, you can miss her expertise

An excellent hotel in a very good location close to the beach, breakfasts were lovely with a large selection and choice of meals. The service staff were very attentive and the quality of food was very good. The pool and pool bar was a great place to chill out and the daily happy hour was always well attended in a lovely location. Most of the staff around the pool bar were very friendly and attentive. The facilities in the rooms were excellent you wont need any adapters for your plugs at least from the uk all your sockets fit the sockets. The rooms were very comfortable with lots of little but classy touches around the room. The beds were excellent and the rooms cleaned to a high standard from the excellent cleaning staff (in block A). All in all an excellent experience and i would return for another stay.

Wir hatten ein Upgrade Angebot des Hotels nach der Buchung auf eine Pool Villa für circa 2800 Baht. Dieses Angebot haben wir auch bestätigt. Als wir ankamen, wollte das Hotel stattdessen plötzlich 20.000 Baht.

Our second time visit and definitely will visit again soon. I hardly find any spot to make a negative comment. I found the hotel worth every moment of my precious time with family, especially for my 10 months old first trip. Me, my wife, my kids, and my mum were totally impressd with the service, from front welcome, house keeping, food from Parca and Lido and all the way to check-out, everthing just flawless. This hotel is Kids friendly and we want to recommend to parents. See you again soon for sure.

Stayed in Hua Hin on 3 previous occasions since February 2025 and somehow I did not spot The Standard despite walking past the entrance on many occasions. While planning our trip for March 2026 The Standard came up and after doing a little homework I decided to book 6 nights from our 22 day stay in Hua Hin. Check- in was friendly and all relevant information regarding the hotel facilities/ amenities was provided including breakfast being served till 1pm or 2pm on Sundays, if only I was 20 years younger Our room was clean, beds very comfortable, bathroom and shower clean and all taken care of daily by the very attentive housekeeping. Breakfast is a buffet plenty of options to choose from with the exception of a variety of eggs cooked to your liking and served to your table (highly recommend) ,tea and coffee is also served to your table. On one morning I did have a minor issue ,(Management did appear to be genuinely concerned and apologetic for my experience) overall the breakfast is a very good experience and I would definitely recommend the breakfast option as part of your stay. The pool area is well maintained with plenty of towels, chairs and sun loungers were we had morning and late afternoon swims everyday. There is a nice bar area were daily happy hours are offered. I sat at the bar but if sitting by the pool or relaxing on a sun lounger is your preference table service is available with servers regularly make themselves available to order from (in my experience/observations it was quicker to get service if you sit away from the bar where I was left on a number of occasions trying to place an order while sitting at the bar as were others guests but in Ireland as we say " don't mind waiting just don't ration or run out". There is also direct access to the beach from the pool area which makes for a very pleasant walk. We did not dine at the restaurants but on a couple of nights we had cocktails and drinks sitting outside with my son who lives in Hua Hin and 2 of his friends which was very relaxing and we are looking forward to repeating and hopefully dining on our next stay. The Standard is very centrally located with plenty of restaurants, shops all within a short walk. The night market is a very pleasant 10 - 15 minute walk(tip plan to eat at the market as part of your evening lots of dine in and take out options) and if markets are not your thing there is a shopping mall (Market village, tip go to the basement were there is a food court with some fabulous thai food, lots of locals to be seen so you wont go wrong ) again about a 10-15 minute walk or a 100 THB on a tuk tuk ( do not pay anymore, ask the price before you get in. A little further there is also another shopping mall (blu port) again easily walked or tuk-tuk, probably cost a little more. Overall The Standard is a great hotel as good if not better than other 5 star hotels in Hua Hin and we have already booked our flights for a 20 night stay in Hua Hin to include 6 nights at The Standard in November to visit family and we are very happy that we have found The Standard to include in our future trips to Hua Hin.

Surrounding is great, kinda pruvate beach abd facilities are equiquate. Although sone common areas like buildihg workway is a bit old fashion, other main areas are as expected. Our best compliment is on early arrival check in (on sunday), we made it at 10.30am where checking in is at 3pm. Bravo!!

I recently stayed in room 524 at The Standard, Hua Hin and I absolutely loved it. The first thing that caught my eye was the hotel's decoration—the vibrant, colorful style gives off such a fun and trendy vibe. The absolute highlight for me was the breakfast. You can actually have breakfast until 2 PM! As someone who loves sleeping in this was a total game-changer. The location is perfect right next to the beach and the pool area is amazing to hang out and swim in. On top of that the service here is top-notch. A huge shoutout to Miss Jennifer and Mr. Golf for taking such great care of us their hospitality and attentiveness really made our stay special. If you're looking for a stylish, relaxing getaway with great perks this is the place to be. I will definitely be back!

The rooms AC was terribly damp, I live in the Middle East with AC in every room of my house and it’s not like it was at the hotel, the beds were damp and then all the cloths were had out hanging all damp. The rooms smell very damp as well.

Lido Bar is truly one of the most impressive bars. The food, drinks, and cocktails were all excellent, with great flavors and quality. The relaxing atmosphere made it the perfect place to chill out and enjoy a wonderful time.

If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, I highly recommend this place! The staff are absolutely lovely, friendly, and provide amazing service from the parking lot all the way to the rooms. Everyone, including the restaurant and bar staff, is trained to the same high standard—truly living up to the name 'The Standard.' Every single team member is incredibly attentive, always greeting us with bright smiles and a friendly attitude. Staying here gave us total peace of mind and a high level of privacy. Plus, the beach is beautiful, all the food is delicious, and the breakfast is excellent. There are also great spots to just chill and comfortably sip on some drinks. Thank you to all the staff for taking such wonderful care of us. It was a 2-night stay that made us never want to go back to Bangkok!

A delightful very cool Hotel. Great location and fabulous staff. I would add a local Thai restaurant or menu for International guests. If it was there I missed it. Lovely beach front, pool and bars. Wonderful reception and room service. All very relaxing and efficient. I would particularly like to compliment Nisa, the breakfast host at the Lido restaurant. Great central location in Hua Hin Boutique hotel we stayed at a pool villa, only grudge was that on teh site they show loungers near the pool in effect we had only chairs. Catastrophic breakfast queues (easily waiting at least 15 minutes if hotel is full), not enough staff, orders not fulfilled, no ones cleans tables, clearly understaffed, small buffet, very few fruits etc Out of the four 5 stars hotels during this trip this was clearly the worst breakfast. Dogs everywhere, pet friendly hotel, if you don't like animals hanging out on your lounge chairs, putting their paws on the tables etc. beware Very successful hotel, impossible to reach reception, when you walk to reception to tell them you called them 3x times in the last 30 minutes and no one answered they look at each other smiling, only one manager understood the frustration and apologised but a bit late we were leaving. Funnily enough if you call room service they pick up almost immediately
