The Jackson family are very sweet hosts. They arrange everything for you and show you around in their community. The climb to blue mountain peak is a bit challenging and you need proper hiking shoes, but watching the sun rise from the top is worth the exercise! Great place to stay for a few nights.
Location and setting. Angela was very nice
The road is a bit rough
The guest house is located right up the mountain, with the most unique landscape. The view is absolutely breathtaking, and the house is surrounded with every possible vegetable and fruit trees which Angela - Jay's mom uses in her delicious cooking. The hospitality and generosity of Jay's family and staff is unique in every standard. Their knowledge of the area and its history is a real gift. The balcony adjacent to the room is the real gem; I could have spent days and days just sitting there, eating, reading my book, staring at the sky and mountains. it is the perfect spot from which to set off to climb the blue mountains. Lamar, the guide, was patient, kind and caring. Take warm clothes, mostly a coat - as it gets really cold at the peak.
I liked everything but there is always room for improvement! a little reading lamp in the bedroom could be a useful addition.
Very polite Family, friendly and helpful Strongly rechnend to use the offer to be picked up. Street to the Community is an Adventure of its own for Standard Europas drivers😉
The hosts and the cook were very personable and became family by the time we left. The food was good and had a variety.
Mountain retreat, close proximity to the Blue Mountain peak trail. Awesome locally sourced and cooked Jamaican breakfast and dinners. Well equipped for a comfortable stay. Well organised to provide guests with an enjoyable Blue Mountain experience. Recently renovated and comfortably furnished rooms, with ensuite bathrooms and decent hot shower.
The internet went down a couple of times and some nights there were barking dogs, but this did not detract from a pleasant and comfortable stay. Be prepared for a bumpy ride in, which adds to the adventure.
Great views, Jamaican hospitality and breakfast
The high tourists expense of dinner and cost of 4x4 travel up the rocky hill.
Jay’s Guest House II is a comfortable, welcoming inn to stay in for a trip up to the Blue Mountains. It has stunning views from its veranda. You are served amazing breakfasts and for a small price delicious dinners. The hosts are super friendly and knowledgeable.
Amazing location, friendly staff and very clean!
location and the authentic hospitality
nothing
Awesome location right up in the blue mountains with great views from their terrace. Jay and his parents take great care of you and the home made food is delicious. They organise tours to the summit.
Nothing but if you do go independently get a decent 4WD.
Very gentil people. Nice place and very good food. It was absolutly fantastic.
