My stay at Mariliss Hill Hotel was honestly awful from start to finish. The food was terrible and repetitive, and hardly anyone spoke English, which made communication frustrating. The bar had only two alcoholic drinks available — completely unacceptable for a supposed resort. The shower kept losing hot water, and when I asked for help, no one did anything. The room was freezing cold, and in October the temperature outside wasn’t much better. Instead of proper bedding, I was actually given towels to sleep with. The pool water was absolutely freezing — below comfortable temperature. When we asked if it could be heated, the staff just said “it’s okay,” even though no one could actually go in because it was so cold. Overall, this hotel was a total disappointment. Poor service, bad food, no comfort, and zero effort to make guests happy. I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone no value for money.
Had a great time with lovely staff, great pool and entertainment every night! Beautiful room with a gorgeous view. Thank you again Alisa for such a fun time!
The hotel is absolutely disgusting so dirty and I mean dirty ! The food was so bad the worst I’ve ever experienced in all inclusive we were warned by another guest to not eat it his partner was in bed very poorly with food poisoning. This hotel is in the niddle of nowhere with nothing to do what old never ever visit here again
Geeat gospitality and relexing atmosphere. Evverything very good. The snimation theme deliver somr activities each day. Nice shops sround. So relax and enjoy and let the fun come to you
Arriving at the hotel at 1am we were told we had to go to another hotel until 10am and then they would pick us back up. No food was offered, only bonus is the hotel they took us too had a 24/7 hour bar. The food wasn’t great, feel like they don’t cater for the english guests. Most lunches and night time meals we had chicken wings and chips. A few night they only did fish or if you don’t go down before 7/7:30pm there isn’t anything left on the bbq. Only bonus is, over the road they have 2 restaurants. The palm is the best! Cocktails and food was gorgeous and spent most our evenings here unless you get a taxi into Alanya which cost us around 2,000 lira there and 2,000 back. In the day we did enjoy it, the pools are fairly small but it is a small resort so make sure your towels are down before 10am. Staff were lovely even though spoke very little English, they still do try get you involved. The rooms were clean and you can ask for them to be cleaned from a little device in your room. Air con worked perfect and hygiene wasn’t an issue. Shame the food left it down and the fact you are miles away from any night life.
The hotel was the team were really engaging and supportive, hosting lots of activities to get involved with while staying. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the bar had lots of options available with the all inclusive. The animators were always hosting fun games to join in. Cool super
We arrived at the hotel just after 11pm and they said our room wasn't ready. They put us in a lovely room but no balcony and looking over the rubbish outside. However, next day, as promised, we were moved into a room with a balcony. The pool area had music blaring everyday. Even with our ear pods on full volume we could still here it. We complained numerous times and spoke to a senior manager and despite it stating in every travel site guests can have a relaxing time you can't!! The senior manager was rude but did his reply via Google translate saying basicly its what the guests want and is not known for a relaxing hotel. Total joke. It also states on their travel websites advertising the hotel that there is a mini bar however there is not. It's literally a small empty fridge. It also states that there is tea and coffee making facilities. Tea bags, sugar and paper cups but no coffee available. The food is very repetitive and consistently cold. They had a microwave but I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole as it was so dirty. At the main pool bar a guy worked there called Halil who was outstanding. He works until 4pm and is so accomadating. However a younger guy takes over at 4pm and we went one night to get a drink and he was on his phone texting and we had to wait until he had finished texting before he served us. So rude. Also at any bar you get small glasses for any soft drink, if you get beer you get a plastic glass, doesn't make sense really. Our sink started to leek on the Thursday night reported it guy came said it was fixed was leaking again on the friday meant to have been fixed but again on the saturday was leaking again. It was eventually fixed on the saturday. Evening meal times 18.30-20.30 so we tried to always go around 6.30pm right after the pool so at least had a chance of getting luke warm food. The water slides were good however, the pool opened at 9am shut at 6pm slides operated 10am until noon then 2pm until 4pm. They have clearly used pictures from a different hotel as the beach is nothing like it. There were cigarette butts everywhere and overflowing bins. The beach picture is a lovely beautiful sandy beach...nope nothing like that is a pebble beach and sore to walk on. I would advise anyone to avoid this hotel. This is our experience and we did read good reviews and genuinely couldn't understand how. We spoke to numerous other guest who were all agreeing with us.
Honestly I’ve read so many reviews on this hotel & actually thought you get people who moan about every but my gosh I wish I listened.. We thought we’d do a last minute deal & it turns out it wasn’t a Deal after all. This hotel is definitely not 5*. The hotel is 3* maximum. On arrival we were given a room that was so small you couldn’t move. We went straight to reception & was told to go back the next morning, we did & got upgraded to a larger room which was fantastic & modern. The cups given in your room are paper for your morning cuppa. They only give you flavoured tea, no normal tea bags, coffee or milk. There is no mini bar as stated. There is 2 bars which are all inclusive however they serve 3 nasty cocktails with cheap alcoholic, effes and cheap spirits. I don’t drink much but a nice drink would have been nice on occasion. This hotel is Ultra all inclusive apparently, the a le carte restaurant hasn’t been open for years so you’re stuck with the main restaurant which is absolutely disgusting. A lot of the food isn’t labelled & it’s cold. Everything had to be microwaved. The microwave was rammy I had to as staff on more than one occasion to clean it. It had a layer of grease & hair on the top & food splatter inside. The snack bar only served burgers & cold chips. They have a bar called the Irish bar which again hasn’t been opened for years. The pool area was clean & tidy. Very loud music which I don’t mine but the playlist is repetitive. I’d been ill 3 times in 10 days staying. If you’ve booked here the best place to eat is the little restaurant to the left of the hotel as you come out or Palm restaurant. The beach is rocky all the way into the sea so take some beach shoes. It’s a nice break from the hotel. Definitely would recommend this place it’s not great.
The room was clean and spacious however you can hear everything in the rooms next door and upstairs. Location- only place located nearby is the shopping district …. Not many restaurants nearby. When it gets dark outside there main pool bar needs light on each table or something cause you can barely see eachother it’s ridiculous. The activities are only during the day so it leaves the evening to basically drink and wait for the show which doesn’t start till 10pm and the show seemed to be the same thing most days, a longer show would be better… The food - what can I say, not good for fussy eaters, i enjoyed it myself but my partner didn’t like anything, all they had was chicken, turkey and meatballs, being in turkey he expected there to be kebab meat. The beach was very rocky and not cleaned regularly so always had rubbish around. This is not 5* service, I would say more a 3* resort. Situated in a good place as the shopping bit opposite is good and not badly priced places. The snack bar only had burgers and chips at the pool and the beach did pizza (different flavours every day) and chips. The beach’s snacks were better. The ice cream was a bit naff, chocolate or vanilla only. Drinks were amazing, bar staff always remembered me and what I wanted and they seem to work nonstop. The pool bar really needed 2 staff members not 1 though. The pool is a bit tiny and the slides were not on all the time which sucked …. Things to make the hotel a 5* service ; Bigger pool More of an option for food, if they are gonna do fish then do prawns aswell or shrimp or lobster More activities to do- the booking said the hotel had boardgames and they didn’t whatsoever, entertainment should be most of the afternoon into the evening so there is always something to do Better snacks, more of a range in both pool snack bar and beach pool bar Beach - clean it Another thing to mention - we booked an excursion for land of legends night show through the hotel rep, if you’re think of doing it , don’t … the driver picked us up before the show even started so we didn’t even see the show, 2 hour drive for food and shopping , I would suggest if you want to go land of legends to stay in Antalya as it wouldn’t be much of a journey for nothing. But it was good priced £30pp. The shuttle service in turkey is overall a bad experience in all honesty drivers not speaking English or telling you where you are what the first hotel is and how long it will be. A intenary of the drop off would have been Handy or at-least an English speaking translator or something
The rooms were great, 9 of us went so 3 per room and spacious, The beds are comfortable. However the food was terrible we had to eat out, we ate chips, rice and pasta for lunch every day. The bar in the lobby run out of alcohol on two days, when going to the bar we could only have one drink at a time, they have branded bottles on show however all empty. Bazar across the road had 2 restaurant the food was amazing. The rep was very helpful and arranged a free transfer to a restaurant. Pools were clean plenty of sun beds, towels are available 10 euro deposit required. Spa treatments were fantastic and reasonably priced. Would never go back to this hotel again.
The hotel definitely does not meet the 5-star level, I would give it 3 stars. The food is weak — it’s hard to find something truly tasty, and the cleanliness and appearance of the tableware leave much to be desired: many dishes are chipped or stained. On the other hand, the pools are very clean and nice, and the sea is simply wonderful. Overall, the impression of the trip is positive, but that’s thanks to the people, not the hotel itself. İslam and the other animators work really hard — they are doing a great job 😇 Sending them our greetings 😉
Shocking. Food half warm same old every day CHICKEN, cooled several ways, staff especially reception, no better than theives!took 800.tl for deposit om.towels and could not get back, even though we had recept and the cards for two towels, bloody disgrace. Half the amenities, indoor pool, Irish bar, not working as been out for a year!very little if nothing to do outside the hotel.. nope definitely not 5 more 2/3.. be mindful..be careful, and watch out for the young thief on the desk!
Beach good, the rooms are comfortable, the shows are entertained, the programs are perfect, and thank you for the animators team for the shows, the waterpool, darts, ping -pong. They were perfect.
Alisa is very lovely and kind, she’s so helpful with everything and made us feel welcome. Sports at the pool really good she’s such a good dancer, Ali is very nice and good too. Animation team is lovely, so is Islam . The reception staff are wonderful. Me and my friends will be back. Will miss Alisa and Ali !
Hotel was more like a 3 star than a 5, wasn’t very clean and food was terrible and the same everyday so we had to eat out everyday. If it wasn’t for the animation team the rating would have been lower, alisa was amazing she took us to the clubs which were brilliant. The staff were friendly but I wouldn’t return.
Very nice hotel great people ali good man very friendly helpful and kind great place highly recommend food is very nice air con is good bar are good water sport pool is great animated are the best most fun water polo darts good music ping pong volley ball yoga tonight animated kings show every night Turkish dance show thank you for your love anitmater team the. Est
* The staff is friendly and enthusiastic. Although it's hard to communicate in English with some staff members, we were able to get our point across. * Our room toilet was very smelly. Something from sewage. Room itself was good, the only problem was that smell. Had to constantly leave our balcony open to ventilate. * Drinks are fine. Try have alcohol in them, which for a free drinks are really good. You can definitely get drunk of those. * Pool is clean, those black chairs are very comfortable. Strangely water was a bit cold for me in 35°C, but that's a me problem. * The beach is bad. Plenty of stones, you can easily cut your feets in it. The chairs definitely seen some stuff. * Snacks near the pool and beach were great, that burger was awesome. Would definitely come back for it. * Shows in the evening were cool. Liked that light show. Has its charm and definitely something you need to see. * Food is repetitive, but each day there is something new to try. I mostly got what I know I like and was fine with it. Skewers at dinner were awesome. Overall 4.5/5
The rooms are good, fresh, there’s a daily cleaning The food is a little monotonous but tidy The beach is private and quite big for a hotel with room capacity like that The beach is mostly sandy but with pebbles closer to the water so the special shoes might be required The animation is also good, they’re very friendly and communicative, there’s always some activities on the hotel territory The general service is also good, the staff speaks multiple languages and is always ready to help
I arrived at the Marilis Hill resort Hotel in Turkey with my 10‑month‑old baby at 3 AM, exhausted from travel and hoping for a smooth check‑in. Instead, I was met by a receptionist who was ASLEEP at the desk. When he finally woke up, he looked confused and disoriented and took ages to acknowledge my presence. He then told me there were no rooms available — despite me having a confirmed and fully paid booking. I was left waiting in the lobby with my tired, hungry, and distressed baby for hours. I was told I had to wait until 9 AM for the manager, who never arrived. Meanwhile, people came in after me and were given rooms immediately, even though I was promised one. Every time I asked about my room, I was told it was still “being cleaned” — this went on for hours. Around 12 PM, completely exhausted, overwhelmed, and in tears, I demanded to speak with the manager. When she finally appeared, she was rude, dismissive, and completely lacking
We stayed at The Marilis Hill Resort Hotel & SPA for a few nights and had a nice time. The hotel isn’t too big, which gave it a calm, laid-back vibe. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked surprisingly well even in the room. Food at the hotel was fine but got repetitive pretty quickly. Luckily, there’s a great place just a short walk away—Doruk Restoran Cafe & Bar—definitely worth checking out if you want a change. The animation team was honestly the best part of the stay. Big shoutout to Melih—he had amazing energy and always made sure people were enjoying themselves. There are shows in the evening, and for those who want to keep the night going, the animators take guests to clubs (there’s a fee, of course). The hotel has a private beach, but it's a bit far to walk. Luckily, a free shuttle goes every hour. The staff in general were friendly and helpful. Bars were open decent hours (pool bar until 23:00, lobby bar until 02:00), but not all bartenders were great—only a couple could make good cocktails. Overall, it was a fun and relaxed holiday. A few small things could be improved, but we enjoyed our time there.
On arrival we were shown our room.were pleasantly surprised.next day .we saw some of the flaws. You CAN NOT REQUEST A GIN AND TONIC ??THEY DONT STOCK TONIC ??? ITS THE O LY HOTEL OR RESORT.I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS ?? The staff are mostly none speaking English? The hygiene. Is very poor at the bars..?? The young men who work it, were not interested in serving.unless u were a young woman.only then did they turn their attentions to serving.they were very rude a lot of times.i would definitely not come here again The majority of staff were having no clue as to what they were doing.i felt racism was alive and well at this resort. Very rude some people here.there was a daytime barman HALIL .he was very nice .accommodating. he was the only staff member who was good at his job ??the food was ok.nothing else appealing. Entertainment was very poor.nothing at all to do in the evening.exept wander round the bazaar accross the rd getting accosted by shop keepers who don't take no for an abswer. Getting back to the no stock TONIC situation Iff they don't stock TONIC THEY SAVE MONEY IN ALL DIRECTIONS..NO ONE ORDERS GIN.OR VODKA. SO THEY THINK THEY WIN.AND PROBABLY DO.. MY ADVICE IS .DONT COME HERE.AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
Very nice hotel! The rooms was clean and comfy . The staff were kind and always ready to hotel. I really enjoyed my stay and would love to come back again
The hotel is clean, the food is good, fresh and plenty. The beach is awful, only stones, you need water shoes. The hotel manager is very rude. She is always offended and you can't do anything with her.The medical assistance at the hotel wants money for everything, even if you have insurance.
Good hotel, clean rooms. Food is simple and repetitive, every diner they griiling meat. Personal friendly and respectful. Near by big bazzar. Animation team super friendly, every day making activities and asking personally to come. Big thanks to Melih and Alisa. Every evening animation team taking hotel guest to clubs to dance.
DON'T GO HERE! They overbook the rooms way too much. We arrived at 14:00 and had to wait untill 02:00 to get in our room. They promises discount at the Spa for the inconvenience, we didn't get is. They promised us champagne and after asking about 15 times we received it. Very bad customer experience
Avoid at all costs If you've booked cancel and get your money back. Arrived at 9pm no rooms sat and waited all night until 10am the following day The bar only had beer and no other drinks and there was no food Staff really really rude not helpfull and just lied
Hotel is well located and good service, more workers do not speak English otherwise very good cooperation. Foods are in variety, plenty to drink (soft/alcoholic) Clean pool. Service in rooms are very good. Nearby, there is a big shopping bazaar.
The service is great, thet answer every question, ask if everything is okay, no problem with comunication. Room is always clean, no need to worry that something is missing, beds are very comfortable, food is great, especially live cooking at dinner. And the bar by the pool is the best drink bar!
BASICS first // Who went: two adults, two older teenage boys and a nine year old girl. How long for? One week (2-9 sept 2024) How much did it cost?: from Glasgow flying Corendon Air, including return private transfers and extra luggage, £500 each all inclusive. The headline // absolutely not 5* as you would expect it in the UK, but at the prices we paid we didn’t expect it. For us it was an upgrade from the 3* place we booked in Cyprus last year for more money. Facilities // The room: we stayed in a family room called a garden view room on lower ground. Initial impression: to get there you walk through the spa and the lower ground smells damp. However on entering the room we were delighted. We had two adjoining rooms. One with a double and single (with wardrobes, a dressing table and access to the patio / garden via glass doors and mossie net), and the other two singles and the bathroom. The main room was clean and actually beautiful. Certainly the nicest room we have ever had on a cheap all inclusive. The bathroom had a good shower, lots of power but it leaked a bit. The seal around sink and some of the edging was getting tatty. Each room had a button to press to clean room. Again, never had any such thing on a cheap holiday. After a few days we came to the conclusion it was used as a means to replace towels and toilet roll but not clean. Big negatives? Plates and glasses left in corridor for an extended period - but there were signs saying don’t take food to the room. Big positives? Air con was so good we had to ask for extra blankets The restaurant: lovely big indoor and outdoor (by the pool) area. We began the holiday eating outside but when it reached 46 in the day it was still nearly 40 at night and was too hot. Food at breakfast included salads, meats, fresh bread, eggs and some continental / Eastern European dishes. Also pancakes every day, toast, Nutella, jam etc Coffee machine and juice machine Food at lunch was an expanse of salads, plenty of fruit, usually something like chips and about 8 hot dishes like curry, goulash, stuffed peppers etc. always with fresh bread. Food at dinner was similar to lunch with an array of desserts and usually a barbecued item cooked outside. Drinks could be got from the lobby bar or from the juice / coffee machine Big negatives: fabric seats were a bit dirty at times due to food spillages and wet bums and air con wasn’t awesome Not a menu for typical Brits. I read some people saying the fruit wasn’t fresh. I actually watched them picking it one morning and adding it to the plates, before a British family turned their nose up at it. That’s just a symptom of us refusing wonky fruit in the UK. Fruit only looks UK fresh for minutes in a sweltering country. Alcoholic cocktails weren’t great. Queue for ice cream each day was massive in baking heat. No snacks that we could find unless we went to beach bar. Big positives: the dining room was lovely, and was cleaned and floor polished twice a day. We loved the variety of food and for us trying new foods is part of it all. Never a shortage of tables. Soft drinks all good, non alcoholic cocktails good, standard spirit and mixer all good. Fridges with cartons of chilled water available all round the hotel and poolside. The pools: main pool beside hotel and restaurant looks stunning. Is a bit deeper than the smaller pool but - as reviews will tell you - needs to be re tiled. Hundreds of little tiles are loose. Fine for swimming not great for any pool games. The second pool, around the corner from the main building is excellent. There are three water slides open from 10-4 each day with an attentive life guard. We sat around there every day just coming in and out the water. Big positives/ water slides, ample umbrellas and chairs, beautiful outlook onto gardens Big negatives / loose tiles on main pool (my son hurt his foot), and the stand in the heat for drinks The lobby: as well as reception there is a lobby bar and comfortable seating area. This is not well air conditioned however. Glass lifts are here to get you to all floors and from there you can access restaurant and poolside. Big negatives: air con - really needed another space for chilling out in the heat Big positive - bar open 24-7 and seating super comfy. Additional facilities: Spa - we didn’t try this but a couple who also came From the UK paid an extra £200 each on arrival for spa treatments and massages / face masks every day and recommended it to us. Market - v well stocked. Sun cream was 5 euro - but so was a packet of UK biscuits. He sold ice creams which we took full use of at night. Excursions - cannot recommend Murat the excursion organiser more. He also had the best English so sorted out some issues we had with bedding etc. We booked the green canyon tour and it was so much fun and excellent value for 35 euros a person and half price for our wee girl. The beach // The hotel’s stretch of beach is 10 mins away in an open sided mini bus which runs hourly from the hotel, for free. The beach itself is shingle. Although sandy on going into the water. Rocky in parts. The hotel has toilets that, a snack bar and bar. Music plays, mattresses for loungers are available. Big negatives: it’s nothing like the AI pictures. The bar area is tidied regularly but is shabby, and the toilets are basic. Mattresses worn and tatty. Bus is like being on a theme park ride. People crammed in. Big positives: that they have their own bit of beach. Yes it’s shingle but we read reviews and bought beach / sea shoes before we went. The snacks were excellent. Chicken wrap and chips, pizza, lots of nice salads and fruit, ice creams etc. it’s def not a 5 star beach side facility but I think it’s 5 star that on a cheap holiday we had access to the most amazing turquoise sea with drinks on tap. Location: Okucalor is about an hour and a bit from Antalya and a bit less to Alanya. The area itself looks to me to be developing. Several posher hotels near by. The hotel is opposite a massive market (the Alara Grand Bazaar). If, like my teenager you want to bring home 93 fake Tshirts then you are sorted. Going at night is better because they have more customers so less hassle trying to get your trade. Nice restaurants in there too. The market also has a chemist in there, and some food shops. Antalya airport / So… it’s lovely, looks beautiful, better than I was expecting However it’s expensive. I mean, beyond expensive. 18 euros for a subway / 10 euros for a Starbucks. We left the hotel at 5 am so muddied breakfast and we’re flying budget so no free drinks and food on the plane so had to get food in the airport. It added another 50 quid onto the holiday on the last day. Corendon air / For those who may be flying the same way we did… Flight fine but basic. Food expensive if you buy in the flight Check in horrendous. We queued for hours in Glasgow - so we had less than half an hour to get food and sorted before flying out, and it took a while though not as long on our return. However - having looked at the price it’s an absolute steal. I think if we went back we would book each element ourselves. One of the men on the plane went to Turkey for £40 each way. Overall review: We had a brilliant holiday. I would rate it 3.75 stars. Who would it suit: easy going families who dont need a lot of entertainment, looking for a good value for money week in the sun. People willing to 'go local' and experience Asia. (it is Asia by the way, which is worth noting. The average wage in Turkey is £200 a month, and far less for hospitality / market staff. So that provides a wee bit of context to the tip culture and nagging for business. We spoke to one of the staff and asked what he liked about his job, he said making people happy. What he didn’t like? Watching people have a nice holiday when he has never been able to even take a holiday, to provide for his family.) who it wouldn't suit: Brits looking for British entertainment, fish and chips and an 'ultra all inclusive experience'. Could it be improved? Absolutely. Starting with the pool. But additional English speakers would help if they want to market the hotel to the UK. Overall, we would go back. And it helped us fall in love with Turkey.
가성비
