Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The parking was just 5 houses down (2 min walk) and controlled by the hotel even though it was a separate fee. The rooftop terrace was quaint with some nice views. The rooms were spacious and the vibe / history exceeded my espectations. It was less than a 5 minute walk to the main plaza - perfect location.
The wifi was inconsistent but the staff moved an extender which helped a bit.

La camera assegnata puzzava di umidità ed era molto fredda. Hanno dovuto spostarci 2 volte di camera ma con la gentilezza dello staff non è stato difficile per niente. Bisognerebbe dare una rinfrescata alle camere, pitturare i muri.

Al llegar nos mencionaron que no aceptaban mascotas cuando en las política decía lo contrario. Al final aceptaron que fue un error de ellos el no tener actualizadas las politicas e hicieron la excepción de aceptar a nuestra mascota . Otra cosa que no nos agradó es que entre semana no tienen servicio de restaurante ni siquiera para el desayuno 😢

Reviewed Aug 6, 2025Beautiful small boutique hotel with lots of details, very near the town center and still very tranquil. The patios, one with a giant rubber tree and the other with a magnificent cactus and colorful paintings are very nice. The view from the terrace is incredible with a perfect view of the Peña. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. We slept very comfortably, although some might experience the bed as being too hard. The staff is incredibly attentive. Nice touch: if you find all six of Frida Kahlo’s sayings written on the walls, you get a free keychain.
Not much not to like. It would be nice if they would serve breakfast as they do have the facilities on the terrace.

Y a las 5 de lamañana nos despertaron con este mensaje de whats: Chicos soy la muchacha del hotel, Les quería pedir de favor miren realmente está prohibido lo que realizamos si pueden salir ustedes y cerrar ustedes el zaguán cuando se retiren para no tener ningún problema. Ya no pudimos dormir y luego nos dijeron que fue un error que era para otros huéspedes.

Reviewed Apr 4, 2025The hotel is located close to town. Bernal is a charming city. We only had to walk about 5 minutes to find local restaurants and shops. Our room had a hammock. From our room, we could view the Pena de Bernal, the Monolith in Mexico.
Honestly, it was perfect for the location and the price. Brenda is the manager, and she was terrific. She assisted us with excellent recommendations and made us feel welcome. Brenda and her staff helped make our stay comfortable. If you are looking for a 3-star hotel that offers a truly authentic experience, this is the boutique hotel you are looking for.

We booked a family suite but when we arrived, we were told that we could not have it as it was double-booked. They offered us a discount on a smaller room which we took as it was already late in the afternoon. We had to ask for toilet paper and toiletries as our room had none. The toilet did not flush properly even after they plumbed it. There was often no one at reception, even when ringing the bell no one answered. Even though the hotel lists it's family suite as having a bath, we were told that there was no bath in it (it was one of the main reasons we booked it)

They only thing that I didn’t like was that they did not have parking, they offer one that is near but is 100 pesos for the whole night.

La ropa de cama no me gustó, los baños necesitan mantenimiento no hay restaurante, las toallas feas y de mala calidad. En fin, el precio no corresponde con el nivel del hotel. Se me hizo muy caro para la experiencia.

Reviewed Nov 7, 2023Terrible experiencia. No es un hotel, y mucho menos BOUTIQUE. No tenían agua caliente en la habitación y estaban llenos porque tienen muy pocas habitaciones. Tuve que bañarme con agua fría, en un lugar (Bernal) que es de por sí muy frío. Las dos noches que me hospedé estuve sin agua caliente. La respuesta fue una disculpa. Nunca hicieron la limpieza de la habitación de un día para otro. Dejaron todo tal cual, cama sin tender, sin toallas, sin limpieza de nada. No tiene estacionamiento y tuve que dejar el coche en la calle porque lo cierran a las 10pm. Tienen que poner en su página que no tiene estacionamiento. El estacionamiento que usan es de un tercero y no tiene control sobre el y esta uno sujeto a los horarios del tercero. Además pretendían cobrar por el estacionamiento.

Reviewed Apr 25, 2023we loved the place and the history behind it. the location was very convenient and the view was just awesome. the room was decorated and designed very nicely.
we asked for a "Factura" and were told we need to write an email with our information. we wrote many emails and never received an answer. it was very disappointing as I can't recommend the hotel and cannot come back when I won't receive a Factura.
