Provider-sourced guest reviews.
We absolutely loved our stay at Porolithos. From the very beginning, Katerine, the owner and host, was wonderful. She was already helping us before we arrived with transfers, recommendations and tips about the island. Once we got there, she took the time to sit with us and explain everything about Rhodes and the property. She made us feel so welcome and comfortable that we really felt at home. And the breakfast was amazing! A great mix of local products and options for different tastes. The homemade granola was delicious, but the fig jam was definitely the highlight — absolutely incredible! You can tell that everything is done with care and attention to detail. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Rhodes. Everything was perfect, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!
Struttura bella, posizione centralissima, ben arredata e pulitissima.

It was clean and well kept. The owners couldn’t do more for you. The breakfast was wonderful

A truly beautiful and unique place, made even more special by the warm and welcoming owners, who genuinely go above and beyond to make every guest feel comfortable and cared for. Every detail throughout the hotel has been thoughtfully considered and beautifully designed. We spent our first night here, and it was the perfect introduction to the island. We had an amazing stay and would absolutely come back. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a special and memorable experience!
Amazing and enchanting private hotel. Breakfast, service, friendliness and local knowledge were exceptional.
Liked everything.
Perfect location in the old town, quiet thanks to the thick stone walls, beautifully decorated. Katerina is perfect hostess with useful tips and recommendations. Absolutely the best breakfast- fresh, lots of food, in courtyard setting, every day some special greek treat, amazing. Thank you again for your kindness and hospitality, you set the bar very high and we are grateful for meeting you.
Nothing- it was perfect (and we are picky guests)
Elegant, friendly, fantastic location.
Hotel is in a wonderfully central location in old town. Cafés, shops, the little tavernas, everything is within an easy walk, so you never need to get in a car for an evening stroll. Being this central and still this quiet at night is a rare combination. The room was much more spacious than we expected; even with the suitcases open, it never felt cramped. As for cleanliness, I have absolutely nothing to fault — everything was spotless, the bathroom and the bed linen included. The air conditioning cooled the room quickly on hot days and ran quietly all night, so our sleep was never disturbed. But what really makes this place special is Katerina. She welcomes you not like a guest, but like someone she has known for years. Chatting with her over morning tea, and all his tips on where to go and what to eat, were honestly among the best parts of our holiday. That kind of warmth and genuine interest is hard to find these days — truly priceless.
.
Można by ciągle pisać naj, naj ,najlepsze godne polecenia
Fantastic hospitality!
Hosts were very incredible (top notch)!
Breakfast every morning was absolutely delicious, with Katerina and Zafiri making sure every single detail was thoughtfully considered, from the beautifully set table to the wonderful variety of foods and drinks. And the location couldn’t have been more perfect. Just a few steps away from all the shops, restaurants and cafes, yet the hotel was wonderfully peaceful and quiet. You would never know that all the hustle and bustle was happening outside.

Everything! A beautiful hotel run by a beautiful and welcoming family. Breakfast was exceptionally prepared and presented. Highly recommend!
Nothing, it was perfect!
Everything about our stay was wonderful. Katerina made us feel so welcome and was super helpful with all of our questions. The attention to detail and genuine care for guests was outstanding. A very special stay for us and would highly recommend staying. Thank you again for making our stay wonderful

An incredible location in the medieval old town of Rhodes. In fact the hotel is a converted Knights house. The hotel is run by Katerina and her husband Zafeiris (and family). We spent a week here and nothing was to much trouble for Katerina. She booked restaurants, helped us with excursions and booked those as well. She was on hand for any question or problem, which I hasten to add there were none!! The hotel is a labour of love and you can see that in every detail, in every nook and cranny, in every piece of fixture and fitting. Lovingly put together to enhance your stay and experience in a centuries old building. We stayed in the knights old wine cellar Breakfast in the courtyard in the morning was a special treat with so much variety. Fruit, eggs, pastries, yogurt, to the point we asked for her to scale back as we weren't used to so much in the morning Thank youboth for making our week in Rhodes so very, very special. It's a 10/10 for me for sure!!! Your hospitality, your warmth and kindness. Hats off to you all for making this such a special and wonderful place to stay. Steve & Arlene xxx
We had a wonderful three night stay at Porolithos. The room was really comfortable and spacious, with efficient air conditioning that kept the climate perfectly controlled, and a great shower. There's also a safety deposit box in the room, which was a nice touch for peace of mind. Breakfast was honestly the highlight, a fantastic variety and beautifully presented every morning. Katerina, the owner, was wonderful, attentive, helpful, and went out of her way to help us secure a dinner reservation one evening, which we really appreciated. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the Old Town. Everything is walkable, about ten minutes to the castle and just five minutes to pretty much everywhere else. Highly recommend.

The boutique hotel is run by the owner Katharine and her husband. A beautiful freshly cooked breakfast was served at our chosen time each day. We ate in the garden courtyard each morning. It was beautiful.
Nothing, everything was perfect.
Everything 😄
It is a very delicately and beautifully decorated hotel owned, built and ran by a very kind family. The atmosphere of the room we stayed was very calm, relaxed and also unique in design with every detail. Breakfast is very rich in kind and taste, served in the most elegant way. Katerina was sincerely very kind, helping us with everything we needed in the most caring way, even helped us to understand what we needed: she provided very detailed information about the island and provided several good suggestions for food, experience and visit. We felt like we stayed in a family house rather than a hotel, so thanks a lot for all the effort making it possible. We know where to stay in Rhodes!
Everything was great!
The property is extremely central. The hosts are lovely and are very helpful. The room was very comfortable and the beds were lovely. The breakfast was also amazing
Nothing
This is a stunning family run accommodation in an amazing historic building. The hosts are amazing and very helpful. The breakfast is easily the best I have had anywhere, lovely healthy local produce. A perfect stay and definitely would recommend.
Most Amazing Host,Katerina spent a great deal of time introducing my wife and I to Rhodes ,great advice on restaurants and attractions to see in the castle ,made us breakfast for a King .10/10
Loved everything
It’s a stunning piece of history that feels like you’ve stepped back in time. The building carries so much history and memory.
Nothing I didn’t like.
Superb in every way. Very friendly people too!

Property is in fantastic location and the hotel is perfect with great hosts.

From the 🤗 welcome, to when we left everything was excellent. Our hosts were very pleasant. The house is beautiful, real old old world with modern comfort.
Only stayed one night.
The Hostess was very friendly and gave us a wealth of information on touring and which restaurants to go to. All were excellent choices! The hotel is so unique - built from ruins from the old city. Very beautiful place which included a beautiful garden. We were sorry we did not spend more time in Rhodes so we could enjoy more of the hospitality. Our room was cozy and comfortable. We loved the old brick walls.
That we didn’t stay longer. There is nothing we did not like. So I have nothing negative to say.
The place is unique and outstanding. It is family-run and perfactly managed. Beautifully decorated to the last detail. Exceptional breakfast. Whenever you need, the owner will give you full attention and very helpful advice. Perfectly located in the center of the old town. We enjoyed every minute.
Katerina and Zafeiris were absolutely perfect hosts and could not have done more to make our stay in Rhodes more comfortable - from booking taxis and restaurants, to advice on where to go and just about anything else we might have wanted. Porolithos Hotel feels like their own home and their painstaking work in converting the original ruin makes for a completely unique, quiet and very comfortable experience. The small private garden where breakfast is served is absolutely delightful. We will definitely stay here again, and would score them 11 if it was possible!
Nothing.
The breakfast was incredible and lovingly prepared by our hosts! So much delicious food we did not need to eat again until the evening. Being able to try such an array of Greek dishes was wonderful. The location was perfect! Tucked away close to the main square and remarkably quiet. Our hosts Katerina and Zefeiris (apologies if spelling incorrect) could not have been more welcoming and helpful in making excellent recommendations on where to eat and visit.
We were sad not to have been staying longer. All the rooms have been renovated to a really high standard and are quite unique. We were more than happy in our comfortable, old cellar room but I'm not sure we could have spent a week due to the limited space for clothes and toiletries. Not a problem for 3-4 nights and did not affect us at all. There is also a suite, which I'm sure would be perfectly adequate.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Porolithos Boutique Hotel. The hosts were incredible, so helpful. Communication before arrival and during the time we were guests was excellent, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast served in the beautiful, peaceful courtyard was a highlight. The property in the Old Town of Rhodes has been lovingly restored and is full of history. We highly recommend it!
Nothing. Everything was perfect.
After seeing this place, it will be my only accommodation whenever I go to Rhodes. The hosts are wonderful, communication is excellent, the breakfast is amazing, the approach and attention are attentive, everything is perfect. You are in a fantastic location, right in the heart of Rhodes.
I couldn't find a single flaw to criticize.
Location is perfect. Rooms are nice, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Thank you Katerina for a very warm welcome and good restaurant tips.

Katerina was a wonderful host, from check in to check out, she could not have been more helpful. The personally delivered breakfast each morning was a lovely touch.
What an exceptional place! We felt incredibly fortunate to stay here. Everything was perfect, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Despite being right in the heart of the city and close to all the attractions and entertainment, it remained surprisingly peaceful. I honestly couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommended!
Well situated, good price and exceptional service from the owners.
Ligging , ontvangst , authentiek , comfort , rustgevend 👌
Location, charm, peaceful
The care and personal attention of Katarina (& her husband) was outstanding and unexpected. From arranging taxi transfers, more complicated than initially apparent, to providing a list of recommended restaurants, another calm & beautiful world away from the 'tourist traps' seen to which you may think there is no alternative, to arranging our personal and excellent walking guide, for a description of the complex history of Rhodes. The location and style of the Porolithos Boutique Hotel. The ample breakfast - far too much for us.
There was no hot water for our very early shower on the day of leaving.
Location Historical Very kind owners- Katherina Would love to stay for longer in a larger room and have Bfast in dining room
Our room was very small but fine for 1 night
Hospitality
We couldn’t stay longer
Great hosts, fabulous breakfasts
Very caring hosts, breakfast was fantastic with great choice .The room we had was fabulous and very comfortable and clean.Easy reach of resturants and sightseeing in the old Town.Such a privilege to stay in this renovated medieval building. The passionate owners go out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect and enjoyable and will share the history of their property.
Definitely nothing with the Hotel. However a note that cars are not allowed in the old town,so if you are traveling with a fair amount of luggage, perhaps contact the hotel for assistance prior to arrival.
The location is amazing everything is within walking distance.
Lovely welcoming hosts, really helpful. Loved the breakfast in the beautiful courtyard. The location is wonderful and close to great restaurants. Highly recommend
Otel eski şehrin merkezinde ulaşımı kolay, otel sahibi Katerina oldukça yardımsever ve ilgili, otel temiz, rahat, kahvaltı güzel. Konaklama için güzel bir seçenek.
Really lovely place in perfect location with super nice owner/host.
N/A. Amazing place.
Great location, lovely building, nice room, good breakfast and Katerina was a lovely person and really helpful.
Nothing.
We stayed 3 nights at this gorgeous hotel. The hosts, Katerina and her husband, were so accommodating and made us feel like part of the family. The home-cooked breakfast every morning was excellent, and the location was perfect — so close to everything. We would definitely recommend this place.
Liked every part of it
Superb location in the heart of the old town, close enough to the main streets, squares and attractions, yet still in a very private, quiet and cosy setting. The hotel itself is quite small, but is full of character and has been beautifully restored and appointed by the owners who provide an excellent friendly and personalised service. We arrived late at night and they were there to welcome us to the hotel, help with luggage and show us to our room. Breakfast was superb - and plenty of it - which set us up nicely for the day ahead. Dietary requirements were catered for and we are asked each day what time we would like it to be served in the beautiful courtyard. Owners were always happy to answer any questions on the local area and had lots of hints and tips for things to do, places to go and the better quality local restaurants & tavernas. Also offered to arrange any tickets for excursions etc.
There wasn’t really anything at all we didn’t like. If I’m being really picky then, there were only tea bags provided in the room - would also have liked coffee to be provided. The option of serving alcohol in the hotel would also be a nice to have - but not a major issue given the proximity to an abundance of local bars etc.
Katerina and her husband were the best hosts, we couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. Really appreciated the special touches during our stay and the gift we were sent home with they really did go above and beyond to make us comfortable and get to know our way around the Old Town. Breakfast was exceptional so much choice and beautifully presented we looked forward to it every day and the setting was also stunning! The whole property and atmosphere is so unique!
Really nothing but the bathroom did get very steamy after a shower so perhaps more ventilation needed as a suggestion? The wifi was also not very strong but we didn’t spend very much time on our phones anyway so not a big issue for us.
A passionately restored Medieval Knights house. Every stone meticulously washed and treated according to the period. Designed with respect for and attention to the style. Katarina and her husband go way above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect for you. The most beautiful breakfasts.
Nothing it is perfection!
Stunning little hotel with a very interesting history. Perfectly located in the old town, just behind the square away from the hustle and bustle, but still in walking distance to all the main sights. The hosts were lovely, informative, extremely helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Not to mention the best cooks! We were spoilt with an amazing fresh home cooked breakfast outside in the courtyard everyday. We were sad to leave and would definitely stay again!
Everything was great!
Great location! The host Katarina is very friendly and gives good tips not only for Rhodos city but also the entire island.
Philoxenia is what set us Greeks apart, from the rest of the world. At Porolithos hotel ,Greek hospitality is at its best. The owners, Katerina and Zafiris, made us feel like home. I loved the breakfast, the comfortable beds and the quite although the hotel is located at the centre of the Old Town. Definitely we will come back to Porolithos Boutique Hotel..
The renovation is stunning, and the breakfasts truly delicious. The owners were so attentive and thoughtful, it made our stay very special.
Nothing
The restored medieval building which once housed Knights Hospitallier was magnificently brought back to life! The breakfast offered new Greek taste treats every day. The hosts, Katarina and Zafer, are dear sweet people who were daringly professional, very personable, and most helpful in offering suggestions and solving problems.
We could have stayed longer than four days! We liked everything and plan to return for another stay.
Beautiful building. Centrally located but in a quiet part of town. Breakfast was delicious and varied. Katrina and her husband couldn’t do enough for us. Definitely would stay again.
Nothing
The hotel was really good and the owner of the hotel Was fantastic. I’m very pleased with her and her team.
From the time we entered this unique hotel you could feel the warm welcome from Katrina and Zafeiris. Every detail that made this boutique hotel was made with love it’s something I’ve never experienced before. Our room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed . Breakfast was another unique experience served in a courtyard and made every morning by Katrina. It was the perfect place for my daughter and I to stay and enjoy our time together and make beautiful memories and most of all meet beautiful people that love and care with what they do.
There was nothing I could fault. Everything was perfect
Accomodation was beautiful and the owners were amazing!! They were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast they cooked was delicious. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.
Herşey gayet güzeldi
Katerina was so sweet and helpful. You could tell the hotel was a labor of love. Breakfast every morning was delicious. We would definitely stay there again!

We loved the charm, the history and the owner/hostess, Katarina. She was gracious and so helpful arranging transfers for us. Upon our arrival she greeted us and invited us to sit with her to learn about the Town and offer recommendations. She truly cares that her guests enjoy their stay! Breakfast was exceptional! She served a variety of items in a peaceful and beautiful setting. The location was perfect, right in Old Town! The bed and pillows are so comfortable! It is a historic building that has been renovated to provide all the modern amenities, yet it has kept its historical ambience. It is absolutely gorgeous! I loved it! I will definitely recommend this boutique hotel to all my Friends! And I hope to come back and stay here again!
The building was beautiful, tucked away and quiet but in the middle of the Old town.
Nothing
My fiancee and LOVED our stay at Porolithos Boutique Hotel for its warm, genuine hospitality and beautifully designed room that felt both comfortable and thoughtfully curated. Breakfast on our balcony was a real highlight with fresh, generous, and beautifully arranged with care each morning. Zafeiris and Katerina (and their daughter) made us feel truly welcomed, turning a lovely stay into a memorable regal experience. Neatly tucked away in a quiet area of Old Town, Porolithos gave us a glimpse of what life may have been like many centuries ago. From the masterfully renovated property to carefully selected decor, every space in the property left us in awe. We were able to easily access by foot all areas of Old Town and the surrounding areas. No issues whatsoever with noise, safety or access. We walked all the way to the Acropolis, St. Stephen's Hill and other areas well beyond the Old Town walls. Whether you are looking for a cozy romantic getaway or a nice quiet area for family, we strongly recommend a stay at Porolithos Boutique Hotel. We have visited many beautiful places in the past few years (e.g., Seville, Istanbul, Venice, Nice, Lisbon, etc.) and our stay with Zafeiris and Katerina may have topped all of them! 10/10!
Nothing at all. Our stay was perfect!
Katerina was an excellent host. She offered a breakfast with a variety of options including fresh fruit and yogurt everyday along with eggs, sandwiches, omelets, pancakes and more. She helped us locate restaurants since we were there in December when most places were closed. And she arranged a fabulous tour guide.
Exceptional breakfast. Hosts were very attentive, pleasant and helpful. Very authentic and comfortable facilities including an amazing shower room. Great location to explore the Old Town.
Everything. Owner was incredibly friendly and hospitable. The hotel was beautiful, with so much history (owner took time to tell us about it and show restoration photos). Room was large and stunning. Breakfast was delicious.
Nothing.
The owners put their personal touch in this boutique hotel. The design was tastefully executed with a touch of Greek inflience. Most relaxing accommodation in a 14th century building.

Beautifully restored and furnished in the medieval old town, my room was so pretty, with a very comfortable bed, freshly laundered sheets and lovely little en-suite. It is obviously a labour of love to maintain this historic and beautiful house.
There’s nothing to dislike. It’s perfect!
Good accommodating owners and very clean and easy to access at all hours.
The room had a slight off smell like mould but it makes sense being in old stone bricks. It wasn’t unbearable.
Our stay at Porolithos Hotel in Rhodes was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, Katerina and Zafeiris welcomed us with such warmth and genuine kindness that we immediately felt at home. They are the most gorgeous, lovely, and truly incredible hosts – people who go far beyond what’s expected to make your stay unforgettable. The hotel itself is something so special and unique – a perfect blend of history and heart. Katerina and Zafeiris have transformed a beautiful piece of the island’s past into a place where you instantly feel safe, loved, and inspired. Every corner feels like it’s been crafted with care and soul. Breakfast each morning was a highlight – authentic, delicious, and beautifully presented, all lovingly prepared and cooked by Katerina and Zafeiris themselves. Every dish told a story, and you could feel the love and effort behind it. They let us into our room early, shared fantastic recommendations for places to eat, local shops to visit, and wonderful spots to explore. Katerina even suggested a day trip to Symi Island and arranged our tickets for us. It was there, surrounded by the stunning scenery, that we got engaged – a moment that felt like something out of a book. When we returned, they had gone above and beyond once again – organizing our transfers, preparing our room beautifully, and even surprising us with a thoughtful, everlasting gift to remember our time in Rhodes. Their care, attention, and genuine love for what they do shine through in every single detail. We are so deeply grateful to have stayed at Porolithos Hotel and to have met such wonderful people. Katerina and Zafeiris made our trip absolutely unforgettable. We cannot thank them enough – and we will most certainly be returning. Porolithos isn’t just a place to stay – it’s an experience, a feeling, and a memory we’ll cherish forever.
Nothing - it was perfect.
A truly delightful place with echoes of the city’s history – such a warm welcome from the friendly hosts, very comfortable beds, peaceful and quiet, and a breakfast that includes everything you could wish for. I can highly recommend Porolithos Boutique Hotel. You’ll have a wonderful stay here.
One of the most amazing experiences in a hotel- it felt like home, a good friend or family member’s house. Our host was so thoughtful about all the details and made our stay so memorable. The breakfast was amazing. The hospitality was superb. Just fantastic all around. I will definitely stay there again when we go back to Rhodes.
