The food was excellent, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The plunge pool was superb, offering stunning views and a very relaxing atmosphere. The living area and balcony were spacious, making the stay even more enjoyable. Communication via WhatsApp was excellent, with quick responses and prompt service whenever needed.

The bedrooms were quite small, and the beds were not particularly comfortable. While the WhatsApp support was very responsive, it would have been helpful to have the room service and reception contact numbers displayed near the telephone in the room for added convenience.

We had a wonderful stay at Crystal Sands Hikkaduwa. The rooms were clean, beautiful, and very comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a sea-view room right at the front, which made our stay even more special. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. A special mention goes to the restaurant team — Dilki, Yadith, Raktha, Deneth, and Ajith — who were absolutely superb. They were always attentive to our needs, went out of their way to make us comfortable, and provided excellent service with genuine warmth. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. We would definitely recommend Crystal Sands Hikkaduwa and would be very happy to stay here again!

The room was very spacious and tidy. we loved the amenities included in our stay. the room has a washing machine also which is very convenient. another highlight would be the balcony with the plunge pool and bean bag. the balcony is a good spot to wind down and just chill. the view is amazing. the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times.

We recently visited Crystal Sand Villas to celebrate my daughter’s 13th birthday, and our experience was truly wonderful from start to finish. Everything was excellent — the stay, service, cleanliness, security, and overall safety standards were highly impressive. The entire team made our family feel comfortable and genuinely cared for throughout our stay. A special appreciation to the reception staff — Deepani, Sajith, Ravindu, and Vihaga — for their warm hospitality, professionalism, and helpful attitude at all times. The housekeeping team — Shammi, Prabath, Shalika, and Iresha — were extremely polite, attentive, and very accommodating, ensuring our stay remained comfortable and pleasant every day. The food quality was excellent and beautifully prepared. One suggestion for further improvement would be to include more vegetarian options in the menu. Additionally, the breakfast spread could be made more extensive with a wider variety of choices. The only area that needs reconsideration is the pricing. The overall cost felt on the higher side, especially because the taxes applied were quite substantial — not only on the rooms but also on the food and dining bills. A more balanced pricing structure would further enhance the guest experience and overall value for money. Overall, it was a fantastic family experience, and we would certainly love to visit again. Highly recommended for families looking for a peaceful, safe, and well-managed beachfront stay in Hikkaduwa.

Great location right on the beach. Beautiful view from the balcony. Lovely pool on the balcony. Kitchen and bathroom stocked with essentials . Staff were very friendly and helpful. Amazing infinity pool.

I like hotels where everything is how it should be, and the staff are not hanging around or intrusive but are fast and responsive when something is needed. It was just that. Excellent setting, facilities, and staff. The food was very good. Snacks are overpriced, but the rest of the menu was great.

Only one glitch. The cocktails we ordered had no alcohol in it, but they rectified it when flagged to the manager.

It is one of the best properties in Sri Lanka for stay. The property gives you numerous facilities and the staff is very polite and humble.

The location is perfect if you love sea views. The elevated sky villas right next to the ocean give the whole stay a different feel. The plunge pool and spacious balcony with the elegant setup made it a great place to relax and enjoy the holiday. What I liked most was that it felt like staying in our own private apartment, but with the comfort and service of a hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. The food options were a bit limited, but everything we tried was delicious and nicely presented. Overall, it was a lovely family getaway and we really enjoyed our time there.

We did not end up staying here, as the photos for the room did not accurately show the stay. The balcony overlooked an extremely busy road, railway line and saw mill. So it was constant loud noise, which you could hear from inside the room too. We had booked the room for the advertised balcony plunge pool, which we could not enjoy due to the noise. As we didn’t stay, we asked the hotel to refund our room, to which they refused. Don’t bother booking here, there are much nicer hotels in Hikkadwa!

Great staff, who couldn’t do enough for us. Good housekeeping. Delicious food, great modern spacious apartments with a plunge pool on the balcony, which I used once in 8 days.

Far away from local towns Galle or Hikkaduwa. ( 20mins by taxi). On a busy road with nothing close by. Had to taxi everywhere at great expense. Extremely dangerous to swim on the beach due to waves and strong currents. No pool on ground level where sun loungers are located. No area to swim to cool off on ground level. No sun loungers at small rooftop pool. Just chairs & benches, and a couple of beanbags, so not comfortable to spend the day by the pool. Rooftop pool is adjacent to the restaurant, so a little awkward swimming when people are eating literally beside you in a such small area. To make the most of our holiday- We left the hotel every day to travel to Unawatuna beach which is the safest beach in the area to go to a beach club to swim and sunbathe. (30 mins away by taxi). The fully fitted kitchen had tea and coffee available- but no cutlery, utensils, plates or pots and pans to self cater. Very disappointed that we couldn’t enjoy the facilities more- the hotel ended up as somewhere to sleep and have breakfast.

Water was leaking from the top floor in the bathroom + asked for water bottles but never got them.

I can't think of anything that would be negative. As an improvement if the bar can be open until a bit later than 10.30pm that would be cool. Maybe we were there during the low season. Might be different during peak season.

Good location, nice double room apartment with a plunge pool, kitchen with washing machine and dryer, coffee, tea and drinking water replenished during the day; excellent staff and service. Food was excellent as well. Small rooftop swimming pool next to the restaurant.

Great location on a quiet beach. As an apartment hotel, we had plenty of space and a spare double room too. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was always enjoyable, particularly watching the fishing boats going out and coming in on the beach.

Unfortunately our stay coincided with renovations after the cyclone in December. At times it just got extremely noisy with heavy banging, but the staff were understanding and compensated us with a free dinner. They also offered us to move rooms. Galle was about a 25min Tuk Tuk ride or 20mins in an Uber.

Le restaurant n’est pas au niveau assez cher et très moyen voir mauvais, seul point négatif.

What a lovely location!! right on the beach and a view to die for....... We spent many hours in the jacuzzi on the terrace of our apartment overlooking the sea. The food was delicious and the breakfast buffet was awesome with an amazing array of dishes. The hospitality team was amazing, with warm smiles and a very positive attitude. We're hoping to be back there soon!!!

Very luxurious hotel, loved the suite, very comfortable and quiet with a nice balcony and plunge pool. The restaurant was excellent - really great breakfast as well - and on the rooftop with lovely views and an infinity pool. The staff were very helpful and I had a very relaxing massage. We also enjoyed the quiet location and enjoyed walks up the deserted beach. We had a couple of minor issues including with the WIFI, but the staff were super and sorted things out immediately, including bringing a a separate router!

We were very happy with the hotel and would definitely recommend, however, we did find it amusing that although there is a fully fitted kitchen, there is actually no kitchen equipment (pots, pans, plans, knives, forks etc.). However, I imagine if you are staying here, that you would not really be thinking of cooking your own food in any case, particularly given the high quality of the restaurant!

Wir haben nach einer Woche im Landesinneren ein bisschen Luxus gesucht und hier auch gefunden. Die Suiten sind geräumig , der Blick von der Terrasse mit eigenem kleinen Pool atemberaubend (gerade zum Sonnenuntergang). Das Essen (besonders das Frühstück) ist fantastisch und auch das Gym, das mein Sohn und ich regelmäßig genutzt haben, war mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht. Das Meer ist hier nicht ohne, die Wellen hier erzeugen eine recht starke Unterströmung (weswegen es hier auch einen Life Guard gibt) aber für uns war es großer Spaß und das Personal kommt auch zu den Strandliegen und bietet Getränke und Snacks an. Wirklich purer Luxus, den wir sehr genossen haben.

Mir ist aufgefallen, dass eigentlich kein Mitarbeiter, auch nicht an der Rezeption, ein gutes Englisch sprach. Man muss darauf achten, immer gegen zu checken, ob auch verstanden wurde, was man gesagt oder besprochen hat. Man erntet zwar immer ein sehr freundliches und offenes Lächeln aber ob man wirklich verstanden wurde, weiß man nie so genau. Finde ich alles halb so wild, da wir aufrichtig freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend von allen behandelt wurden. ein etwas bessere Englisch wäre allerdings wirklich hilfreich.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, the food and cocktails were great, the staff are warm and welcoming, adding to the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. It’s a perfect spot for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.

The distance to Hikkaduwa is a bit long. It’s a quite isolated place from anything else. It could have been a bit more clean but when we mentioned it the staff took care of it and cleaned more. The windows are not too sound proved therefore you can hear the sea during the whole night. Seems like you are a meter away from the water. In general it’s a nice place but we would recommend to stay closer to Hikkaduwa centre.

Piękny apartament z cudownym widokiem na ocean. Przestronny, wygodny, czyściutki …no i mamy basen z jacuzzi na tarasie….bajecznie. Personel przemiły, wychodzący na przeciw oczekiwaniom gości. Czyściutko , estetycznie, wygodnie.
