Disappointing Experience That Doesn’t Match the Price I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, my experience fell well below expectations — especially given the price point, which is considerably higher than many nearby alternatives. To start, the TV wouldn’t connect to my mobile device, which was frustrating since I often stream my own content while traveling. Even after contacting the staff and involving IT support, the issue remained unresolved until 2 attempts with IT lost a day in between. The dinner menu offered very limited food variations, making it repetitive and uninspiring, especially for longer stays. On top of that, room service was consistently slow, taking 30 to 40 minutes for even basic requests, which significantly impacted convenience. One of the biggest disappointments was that the fridge in the room didn’t even cool, making it useless for storing drinks or snacks — something I expect as a basic amenity. Overall, for the premium price being charged, the hotel doesn’t deliver value. There are other nearby hotels offering better service, food variety, and functioning amenities at a more reasonable cost. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless improvements are made.

Spacious, clean and well maintained

At the time of booking, I chose late check-out and paid extra for it, but the hotwl front desk refused to give us late check-out As I have already paid extra, they didnt accept and you need to pay back. I alreadypaud extra in your websitw for 2 hours late check out

I’ve stayed in this area 3 times now, and this is by far the best of the Hotels I’ve stayed at in the area. As soon as you get out your taxi/car/coach you’re welcomed by friendly helpful staff. Then you enter the lobby which is large, Modern, & smells great. Check in was quick & easy with a nice drink offered while you’re assigned your Room. These rooms are probably the best I’ve stayed in over the last year; and I travel a lot. Big wide rooms with amazing views, bed & bathroom is exactly how I like them. Pool area and beach is well set out, and beach bar at far end of beach is perfect for drinks at the end of the day. Look forward to returning.

Sehr gutes Hotel mit einigen Mängel für ein 5 Sterne Hotel. Wir sind um ca. 2 Uhr morgens angekommen und haben festgestellt dass kein Wasser im Zimmer war. Auch das separat gebuchtes Bett für unseren Sohn war nicht aufgestellt. Auch finde ich, dass man in ein Mövenpick Hotel nicht über 5€ für ein Kugel Eis bezahlen sollte! Auch andere Aktivitäten wie zB Minigolf im Hotel waren zu bezahlen. Ich kenne sehr viele andere Hotels, dass diese Gratis angeboten werden. Generell fanden wir die Preise sehr überteuert. (Für ein Orientalisches Tee in der Sky Bar über 12 € zur bezahlen und dann festzustellen dass es ein einfache Beuteltee ist finde ich nicht in Ordnung. Auch fanden wir sehr Schade dass das Schwimmbad um 17:00 geschlossen wurde.

nice, new hotel

The place is great. Even though jt was holiday week it was all well managed. Great facilities especially for kids. Beautiful beach and pool. Really good breakfast. Dinner buffet was disappointing. Would probably try one of the restaurants on site next time.

The stay was amazing. The staff were very welcoming. There was a Game Room for children. Breakfast was very good.

Great - something to do for everyone

Really pleasant stay - lovely beach and outdoor facilities, great restaurants, nice rooms. Only negative was the children running and screaming in the corridors at 1am… not something you should blame the property for, but certainly some of the all-inclusive customers are lacking certain basic manners…

The first thing that strikes you is the multi national staff that all share the pride in THEIR Hotel. They are all motivated and importantly try to remember your names, making everyone feel important. Great location and wonderful beach. We went to Mövenpick Luxor 38 years, once I realized this was near to Ras Al Khaimah there was no other option for me. Still worth the visit, bravo team 👏

Pool snack and bar service was good. The reception, guest relations and other staff were rude, uninterested and had poor customer service skills. Beds had bed bugs. Lighting in rooms was poor. You can hear outside the room theough the door. So all hallway activity was overwhelmingly annoying. No ash trays on balconys so cigarette butts everywhere. Buffet foor was very expensive but unbelievably poor quality.

We recently stayed at Mövenpick on Marjan Island, and it was a wonderful experience overall. Room: The room was absolutely incredible—spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. The staff were super friendly, professional, and welcoming, which set a great tone for our stay. Breakfast: The breakfast was impressive, with a fantastic variety of options to suit all tastes. The quality of the food was excellent, and it was clear that attention had been paid to even the smallest details. Kids Club: While the kids’ club was a nice feature, it seemed more suitable for older children. It would be a great improvement to enhance the offerings for younger kids, particularly those aged 0–3, to make it more inclusive for families with toddlers and babies. Beach: The beach was another highlight—super clean, well-maintained, and an absolute pleasure to relax on. Overall, Mövenpick Marjan Island offers a fantastic experience for families and couples alike, with just a bit of room for improvement in the kids’ club for younger children. Highly recommend it for a luxurious and family-friendly getaway!

Jolie et très grande plage. Chambre coté mer et non coté plage, prenez attention lors de la réservation. Le petit déjeuner est bon mais c’est vrai que l’on s’attendait à mieux comme les équipement de la chambre, peut mieux faire. Du coup, nous n’avons pas pris de pension complète. Les cocktails ne sont pas terribles. La nourriture du beach house restaurant et du Ula en revanche sont bonnes. J’ai trouvé l’hotel en dessous de mes attentes meme si le personnel essaie d’être serviable. En lisant les commentaires je m’attendais à beaucoup mieux. Par exemple au moment du check-in, les tarifs pour la pension complète ou demi-pension ne sont pas évoqués. On nous dit qu’il y a pleins de choses à faire sur place, mais aucune activité n’est citée.

Pool ist zu flach. Weit weg von allem. Ohne Auto sehr schlecht. Essen hat hochwertige Zutaten, schlecht zubereitet. All inclusive ist nur Kantinenessen und ein paar Softdrinks. Alles was gut schmeckt ist sehr teuer und nicht inklusive.

Hotel surrounded by a lot of greenery. Staff professional and friendly. Food very good offering big variety. Value for money and recommended for families.

Staff were really friendly and always willing to help. The hotel is very well kept with free valet parking. There are lots of activities for children including a impressive games room with lots of free video games.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly ( Camile was very helpful ) The room was impeccably clean, well-appointed, and incredibly comfortable. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the room's decor and amenities, which made my stay feel luxurious and relaxing. The highlight of my stay, however, was the breakfast. It was simply outstanding! The variety and quality of the food were exceptional. From freshly baked pastries and a wide selection of fruits to made-to-order omelets and perfectly brewed coffee, every morning was a delightful culinary experience. The dining area was also charming and well-maintained, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere, Anik was very supportive and always ready to fulfill any request. Overall, my stay at Mövenpick Marjan exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect blend of comfort, quality service, and an amazing breakfast. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to the area.

Loved the place. Our first visit to RAK and for the price and location (at Marjan), this property was a no-brainer!

Great family hotel. But there is a swimming pool and beach area for adults, which is great.

Everything excellent. Choices of restaurants pool, beach , activities Everything. Except the fact that family room which is advertised as 2 double beds, its actually a double bed and sofa bed(extremely uncomfortable) if you are a teenager or adult. Otherwise excellent

Was not as good as expected or as the last time. We were disappointed this time. It seems they can’t handle so many guests!

Long wait at check in. Very long queue for breakfast and service very slow. Coffee cold, plates not available at some serving stations. Incorrectly charged in Boons Previously stayed and had no complaints then.

We stayed a week in a room facing the swimming pool end of January and it was great. Then when our daughter joined us for a week of teleworking, we moved to a bigger room with a nice terrace in a beachfront chalet and it was wonderful! Great staff, good breakfast! We hope to come again next year!

A Pleasant stay on the beach

Wonderful hotel with a well-designed infrastructure. We enjoyed the facilities and the restaurants. The only disappointing point was the fire alarm sensor mounted in the room, which was blinking at all times, every ten seconds. I assume that it was installed incorrectly, as it was flashing directly to the eyes when you sleep. It was so annoying, so I couldn't fall asleep, and I had to go down to the reception to get some help. Unfortunately, there was no possibility to switch off or deactivate it remotely, and the staff advised me that they could put a sticker on it to cover the light. This was not possible either as my wife and little son were already sleeping and only me were struggling. I asked if they could get an eye mask for me, but sadly it was not available in the hotel, so I had to sleep with a t-shirt on my face. On the next day, they came over to my room, to place a sticker on the fire detector. At night, I discovered that the sticker was not wide enough and the stubborn light was still hitting my eyes, so I asked them to come once again. Finally, they put a huge piece of tape to cover the good portion of the detector, so I could sleep. Some of the staff were quite helpful, and they seemed really sorry that this happened to me. On the other hand, some hotel employees kept on telling me that this is a normal procedure and that all rooms have the same type of detectors, which doesn't bother anyone. Rest of all, it was a pleasant stay with lots of great moments.

Quality of dinner buffet extremely poor, service mediocre, room view excellent, cleanliness satisfactory, amenities plenty and well organized… too crowed though. Plenty of children everywhere. If you are looking to relax, definitely not your typical resort.

Lovely hotel and experience

We stayed for two nights and I wish I had booked longer. Hotel has lots of facilities, a great beach too. We will definitely return

Lovely hotel but disappointed that our requests were not met. Asked for all three rooms to be on the same floor due to family travelling together but were all separate until the eventually put two rooms on the same floor. Upgraded 2 rooms for a better view but my room wasn’t upgraded and had a view of building works and a crane! Small matter but would of made a huge difference to my review.

Nice hotel, we had a grate time. only 2 comments: the matters are very hard and there is no steam and sauna room in the property.

Rooms are not soundproof, it is very noisy inside the room which is not nice. Check-in process was slow and it took 45 minutes to get our luggage in the room. Beside that, good food at Noons, breakfast is also good. Pool is great.

While the hotel is new , they still have a lot of work to do on their staff and service. I had a negative experience where the room I booked (2 double beds) was not available , and the front desk staff kept insisting that a Sofa Bed is the same as a double bed, then they tried to charge me for an additional room so I can get the second bed. They were more concerned about resolving their internal booking issues than solving my issue… I waited for a very long time, with a very argumentative front desk person until my issue was finally resolved. The hotel in general is nice , however, basic. Much more options on Marjan Island that offer much more, like a water park for kids, and better dining options
