Melina Hotel

There were no positive aspects to my experience at this hotel.

I didn't like anything about the location or the hotel.

Vert clean

Location

Prima ontbijt, vriendelijk personeel

Clean beds

No television

The location.

We couldn’t eat dinner at the hotel restaurant. They didn’t have space. It seems that the hotel rents the restagor private events and don’t leave tables to accompany their guests. We had to order food from outside and have it delivered to the hotel. It was pooring, we didn’t want to move our car so we didn’t lose the parking space. A manager was able to accommodate us at the restaurant but by then it was already 9:00 pm, too late for dinner. They host events Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You can hear the music in the bedrooms. Even on the first floor and the restaurant is on the fifth floor.

Mucho!

Good breakfast , large parking

Bad smell in rooms

+ Lage zur Basilika, 15 Minuten zu Fuß. +Sauberkeit Zimmer war gut. +Design des Hotels in den Gängen ansprechend. In den Zimmern zweckmäßig, zu kleiner Kühlschrank. +Klimanalage funktionierte gut

Estaban remodelando y no tenían todas las facilidades

Everything still as good as when they first open.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

My first time at this hotel and it was good. You would expect for the price that it would be a modest accomidation. Melina exceeded that expectation. The staff was welcoming and ready to assist. The breakfast was buffet and also exceeded my expectation. Hot water, AC, electronic locks, restaurant on site, TV, all exceptional. My only issue was that I was on the first floor and didnt have a window in my room. I guess if I were staying longer than 1 night, i would have asked for a diffrent room. That is it, everything else was easily above par. I WILL STAY THERE AGAIN WHEN I VISIT HIGUEY FOR MY NEXT RUNNING EVENT.

Rapport qualité-prix: excellent

Very clean and convenient,,, love the decor and the restaurant food

We stay for one week and the experience was amazing!! A very nice boutique hotel with and amazing staff. The restaurant's food was delicious, the rooms are very clean and the beds very comfortable. I recommend this hotel 100%. I will definitely stay in this hotel again!!

The service in Melina is really good. The room service not only folds your bed but changes your sheets every day. The staff is very friendly me

Clean, felt safe, and friendly staff

very good breakfast. Clean and nice rooms

Wonderful hotel

Friendly staff, elevator, walkable, restaurant breakfast and dinner excellent

I was very happy with this hotel, and felt t it was a good value. The air worked great and the breakfast buffet was very good. The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful. We thought we had no hot water and she searched for a another room for us, but we couldn't find one with hot water. So, maintenance was called, and I'm embarrassed to say, it turns out we weren't turning the water in the correct position. The confusion was the the hot direction starts out colder than the cold side for some reason. So, be sure to test both directions thoroughly.

We liked that it was clean and staff was very friendly. Breakfast is buffet style and has a big variety and their food is delicious.

The receptionist doesn't speak english and seem uniterested to even assist.

Over all ot was very good

good

Great experience

All good

Nice Hotel in very good Place to Walk to the town and Basilika! Good food and Drinks in the Restaurant!

Very great service and maintenance.

"The staff at Melina were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel's breakfast buffet was delicious and had a great options. The restaurant was super convenient and food was delicious.

I felt very safe, great area to walk around, very close to the Basilica church, will definitely go back again.

Everything

Everything was good

Excelente experiencia.

Nice place to stay for that price staff is great Location is close to almost everything

Friendly staff

Service and conveniency was excellent

The food was good, however the breakfast was the same everyday. no varieties

The air conditioner was only working at fan mode. Reported the problem, however it was not fixed.

Location, staff and accommodation.

I like everything.

They don’t speak much English but I made ChatGPT translate

Nice environment and friendly agent

Very good and clean will stay there again

The breakfast was delicious. Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was clean

The dehumidifier in the room. It made too much noise. Also that we didn’t have the option to only have one night light on.

Not as described but made it work. Use too much bleech to clean up, wait too late too clean rooms, water takes about 10 minutes to get hot for a shower.

Everything was very good except the water pressure.

The hotel is really nice, the food at the restaurant was good, the only thing i didn't enjoy was the area.

The restaurant is amazing and probably the only reason I would stay here again. Wow. Good vibe and food. And the staff there get a 10/10. Thursday nights!

Location was perfect

It is a new hotel good in all areas. Perfect location near everything. It is cleaned daily and the breakfast included is a plus.

Ceiling noise at night and in the morning too.

My stay at the Melina Hotel in downtown Higuey was truly fantastic! The location is ideal—just a 40-minute drive from Punta Cana and perfect for exploring the area. The hotel staff is friendly and attentive, and I felt well taken care of from the moment I arrived. Breakfast is served in the state-of-the-art Kaleus Restaurant on the third floor, where a buffet spread offers a delicious start to the day, and the à la carte menu for lunch and dinner is equally impressive. The brand-new rooms are modern, comfortable, and spotless, providing an excellent place to unwind. The hotel’s pricing offers exceptional value, and the added security—with guards watching over two parking lots and the hotel grounds—brings extra peace of mind. I highly recommend the Melina Hotel; it’s a wonderful choice for anyone visiting the area!

Melina Hotel is a fantastic place to stay for anyone visiting Higüey. I highly recommend it! The breakfast was exceptional, and the staff was wonderful. The dinner options were both delicious and reasonably priced. Although I had a minor issue with the TV remote not working, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. Another bonus is the adjacent dental clinic with great doctors who are very professional—I visited and was truly impressed!

Location

My friends room had no hot water

I like it

Not really too many complaints. Staff was super nice. Room was perfect. Restaurant was the best!

The rooms are very modern and clean, also the staff are very friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi works all through the hotel. Breakfast is good also.

Everything was good

Definitely recommend 100%. My experience was Excellent. If you looking for nice high end hotel to stay this one is perfect. Very nice, clean, fancy and location is near everything. The customer services from beginning to end was Great!! Super clean. Breakfast was good and the restaurant was nice and convenient.

All I can said everything is perfect!!!

Restaurant and bar its exelent and service its exclusive. Personal are very respectphul and friendly. Alexander and Mercedez they where profesional waitres and helphul .

Very clean

They lost pump pressure so there was no water for shower or flush the toilet for several hours.

El agua deben arreglarla

The shower in my bathroom didn't work which was a drag. Also, a guy with a bullhorn planted himself at their front door and was going off about something all morning. Very annoying. The staff were nice. The breakfast was not very good. Decent facility, but not enough to make up for the problems.

To find the hotel was a bit difficult if the place can update the info on maps

Every was good

I actually booked this hotel only the day before. When I arrived for check-in, Naidelis and Yelitza were so nice and helpful. And Ramon and Danny were great too! I actually had to move my room as the internet was not so good, and they moved me without hesitation! Great 3-day stay and the bar/restaurant was full of energy!

I like this place

Very good service
