Voya Sifnos Mindful Stay

Everything about Voya is wonderful: the location, the rooms, and the facility are all incredible. But what stands out the most is the staff, particularly George, the hotel manager. From even before I arrived, George went above and beyond to guarantee that I had the best trip imaginable, especially as I was traveling alone and had no car, which would’ve made my visit to Sifnos much more challenging if not for him. From the best recommendations to helping me arrange transportation to anything I needed help with in between, he truly made my stay. This level of hospitality is hard to come by these days, and I’ll never forget the immaculate service I received at Voya thanks to him and his wonderful staff!

While Kamares is accessible by foot from the hotel, other parts of the island require a car to get to — don’t be like me, and make sure you book your rental car ahead of time 😅

Great staff. George and Anna Maria were fantastic hosts. Very helpful and friendly, made us feel welcome and relaxed immediately. Great recommendations too for exploring the island. The cocktails by George were excellent. The location is very close to the port (Kamares) so this is very convenient for checking in and out. It was only a 20 minute walk from the ferry. The view from the rooms is exceptional and perfect for sunset. The pool is very relaxing and comfortable to hang out in. Service in general was 10/10.

The nightly rates for this hotel are not good value for money. The breakfast was fine but very average. For the price you pay, I would have expected a much more impressive breakfast with large fresh fruit platters, more greek cheeses and more savoury options. The honey served at breakfast was not very good quality despite there being very good honey in the region. The kitchen is quite small in the hotel so they are a bit limited with serving food. Regarding the room, although it seems spacious, there was very limited storage space and in particular no where to store suitcases which means that the space is not efficiently used. I would highly recommend considering how guests can store their suitcases for convenience and also add a ramp to help carry the suitcases up to the rooms instead of the stairs!

We liked how friendly the staff were. They know how to communicate with the hotel guest. The food was simple but very delicious. I liked that there was no huge open buffet. Otherwise all the food goes to waste. The location and the view is amazing also. The room decor is beautiful. The whole vibe of the hotel is very calm and relaxing.

The price of the hotel is on the pricier side. It could be due to the month July. The island in general was expensive in our opinion

Rooms are beautiful and views from the hill the hotel is built on are stunning (also great wind which calms down the summer hit) Staff is amazing beyond words. Super helpful, kind and resourceful. George and the team go far beyond the common kind staff you usually encounter in such places. 100 of 100 Location is excellent though if you do not like climbing back a hill you might find it a bit far from the beach (a few 100s meters on a steep hill).

Our stay at Voya Sifnos was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful, spotless, and perfectly located, offering a calm and relaxing atmosphere. George made our experience truly exceptional. From arrival to departure, he went above and beyond with his kindness, generosity, and attention to detail. His genuine hospitality made all the difference.

Genuinely exceeded all our expectations. George was absolutely incredible, he really looked after us throughout our stay, from recommendations, car booking, taxi, restaurant reservations. Went above and beyond than anywhere else we have stayed in Greece. The rooms and facilities were brilliant and the bed was so comfortable. We loved our stay that much that we will definitely be returning.

The breakfast was delicious. You order the night before and it is served overlooking the Kamares port. We luved the yoghurt and muesli, fresh fruit, omelette and tsoureki. George the host was exceptional. He provided recommendations at check in and helped with our restaurant bookings and transport. He went above and beyond to help us and to make sure we were happy. The afternoon cocktails were delightful too.

We stayed in the ENJOY room which had an incredible private terrrace with sun beds, hot tubs and a sunset view. The breakfast had loads to choose from and was really great. We loved how everything could be ordered by the QR code too!

The reception manger a young man only 21 years old really made our stay so amazing. He was most helpful and knowledgeable with everything we needed around the island all his recommendations were perfect. The room was great the view was amazing too

We had a problem with the bed it was too small only 1.90 long with 2 beds put together they put another mattress on top also the pillows were not comfortable and they had no duvet cover on the blanket however George went out of his way to try to help us feel more comfortable

Lovely rooms and facilties and great staff. The common balcony area where breakfast is served is lovely and a great spot to have a little pre dinner drink before heading out. George was fantastic, full of interest in our stay and very helpful.

The accomodation is a bit of a climb up the hill if you're on foot but still very walkable from the town. And while you do have the climb you benefit from the peace and quiet of the location and the great views.

Ok the things you would expect to be exceptional at this price in Greece, the rooms were spacious modern and perfectly maintained (to the point we checked when it was actually built as it appeared to be brand new) we had the two bedroomed suite with private pool which was exquisite, the view from the pool area and patio was amazing and during our stay we did spend a couple a lovely days just chilling there. The breakfasts were excellent and organised via an app which you ordered your requirements the night before, a brilliant way to reduce waste. As stated above the views were amazing being slightly above the port , meaning a 10 minute stroll to the bars and restaurants in the evening, however it is a bit of a hill so maybe 15-20 return depending on the beverages consumed in between. Early evening cocktails were served on the terrace and proved a great way to meet up with other guests (it never feels too busy as there are only 6 suites in the complex). Now for the things that surprised us THE STAFF! the hotel is run by a one man whirlwind doing everything possible to make your stay exceptional. George was amazing, with his small team of staff he made everyone feel special and part of the Voya family. From buying us a drink in a town when he bumped into us to giving us a lift home (it really did feel like home) one night when he passed us on the way out and he wanted to save us the hill climb. George is new to the Voya and is only a young man but his professionalism and willingness to learn and look for ways to improve both himself and the business was refreshing to witness and shows some young people still have a very strong work ethic.

I don't think I've ever stayed in an hotel in which I didn't think something could be improved but this may be the first. It was & is exceptional.

Wunderschöne, stilvolle und einladende Hotelanlage mit viel Privatsphäre, da jedes der wenigen Zimmer einen eigenen Eingang hat. Das Personal lebt Gastfreundschaft - man fühlt sich sofort zu Hause. Die Verpflegung kann individuell über eine App bestellt werden (auch das Frühstück) und ist sehr frisch und lecker! Mit Koffern unbedingt den Transfer bestellen - der letzte Aufstieg kann sonst eine ziemliche Herausforderung sein… 😉 Top Aussicht auf die Bucht und den Hafen - inkl wunderschöner Sonnenuntergänge.

Beide Kingsize Betten waren nur 1,60m breit - bei uns müsste die Breite mind 1,80 oder sogar 2,0 sein..

A beautiful property with incredibly kind staff, watching the sunset from the balcony each evening was a highlight! Breakfast was delicious and the stocked mini bar was very welcome.

The location is perfect with the view over the town and the sunset and not too far to walk to the town beach.

Complimentary breakfasts were amazing. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful - outlined the entire island with key stops and restaurants! Very nice stay and close to the ferry port!

Estuvimos encantados con el alojamiento, fueron tres días en la isla y el apartamento Aura era súper amplio, nuevo, cómodo y limpio. El desayuno que se elige el día antes desde la app fue muy completo y estaba muy rico. Además, el personal súper majo y dispuesto a ayudarnos, agradecer las explicaciones y recomendaciones que hacen el primer día. El kit de regalo es un detallazo muy útil. Ojalá volvamos! Muchas gracias a todo el equipo.

Lo único que nos faltó fue la cocina, no tenía placa, y tampoco tenía restaurante.

We had an absolutely exceptional stay! The place is beautifully decorated, very well maintained, and offers breathtaking view. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the port with its restaurants and beach, and only a quick scooter ride away from all the other wonderful spots on the island. The breakfast was incredible (we are still dreaming about those pancakes!). A special thank you to Nikitas for his kindness, great energy, and invaluable tips throughout our stay. If we ever return to Sifnos, we will definitely choose to stay here again.

The hotel is lovely and clean, with views from various spots around the hotel. The location was also great (beach and restaurants are very close by (10-15 min walk)). The hotel staff were always available and friendly (including arranging trips, bikes, cabs etc). They also organised an early check-in and a late check-out and provided free transfers from the port. We also enjoyed the breakfast service – we could place our order the day before and have it ready at our chosen time the next morning.

I stayed 3 nights at this hidden gem and I can tell - it was absolutely amazing. The apartment was super clean and very well equipped. It provided everything you need for your stay. The location is perfect if you want to explore the beautiful beaches nearby. A big plus is the pool with its stunning view of the harbor - great for sunset! The breakfast was 10/10 - high quality, lots of variations and great portions! The communication was easy and they have been very flexible. The staff is super nice, kind and very welcoming. They gave me a lot of necessary information upon our arrival and were always available. I definitely would recommend to stay here. Thanks a lot!

Voya is an absolute gem, a true oasis of beauty and relaxation. From the moment we booked till the moment we left the island - we absolutely loved every bit of our experience. The views are simply breathtaking, the rooms and common spaces are curated in every detail, clean and beautiful, the breakfast is so fresh and well made (we loved that we could choose what to order every day!).. and the staff is absolutely amazing, always going above and beyond to make your stay perfect. A big thank you to Nikita who took magnificent care of us.

We loved the hospitality, cleanliness and amazing views - also a short stroll to the main strip. Breakfast each morning was always delicious and fresh, exceeding our expectations!

There wasn’t much to dislike.

The view from our private terrace was breathtaking. There were mountains directly across and the port just to our right. Breakfast was outstanding. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Hostess and cleaning staff were absolutely amazing (professional and friendly). This is a very tranquil and peaceful place to stay. We had a car, but if you don’t, I believe they will provide transport from the port at Kamares. Otherwise, it is a 5 minute taxi ride. This is truly the place we would want to stay if we returned to Sifnos

It was very clean, very well located. Comfortable furnishings. Responsive and friendly staff over email.

It felt a bit sterile and I did not feel the traditional Greek hospitality there. It was also very frustrating needing to remember to order breakfast the night before, especially because I never know what I want to eat in the morning. I also found the breakfast to be quite poor in quality (except the coffee and yogurt and orange juice- everything else was not good and barely edible). It was also quite a slow breakfast service, and they usually forgot to bring everything you ordered (I could barely remember myself). I found that quite frustrating to be honest. There was also an incident where we forgot our key in our room and we arrived to the hotel with the reception locked and no staff to be found. The owner came back within 15 minutes of us waiting but it was quite frustrating given the amount of money we paid to stay there not to have a single person working at the hotel available to help. While it was a perfectly nice and clean and pleasant stay, I would rather pay less, stay in a smaller room and hotel with more friendly Greek hospitality. This was the third hotel we stayed in Sifnos (first was small and lovely and cozy, the second was more upscale luxury with beautiful sea views).

I really struggle to find anything positive to say in all honesty after what was such an awful experience

Fleas! We found 3 fleas in the bed sheets - see video - which we brought to the attention of staff. At first they apologised and instigated a clean and change of all bed linen again and said they would speak to their manager. I would also point out we asked to speak to the staff quietly away from other guests as we really didn’t want to cause any embarrassment or issues for them despite our obvious distress at having experienced this. The next thing we know the Manager is at our door laughing, wagging his finger in our face and accusing us of having either made it up or planted the fleas there in the first place. We told them you could see in the video the insect hopping which is an obvious thing fleas do but he just dismissed this. If you watch the video you can clearly see it hops and then lands again at the side of the sheet. He insinuated we were doing this for compensation only! We paid c400 euros per night for this room and were so insulted and disgusted with his attitude that we actually declined the free shuttle bus return and the mornings breakfast (despite it being included in the price) as we wanted to make clear this was never about money and to make plain the fact that we do not go around planting fleas in hotels to get a few pounds off the price!! At checkout they said our minibar bill c35 euros would be free of charge but we declined this offer too and paid in full. I can honestly say we have never stayed in a place that so fundamentally lacked any basic standard of customer service or hygiene. The bed sheet also had what appeared to be a blood stain on it. Appearances can be very deceptive is all I can say as when you look below the surface and style of the place it just doesn’t pass muster.

If you want a place to chill out, unwind and be at ease, this is the place. From the moment you arrive at the port , you are met by a staff member and whisked up the hill to an amazing view of the port, bay and surrounding mountains. The warmth and friendliness of the staff are second to none and they make you feel right at home- nothing is a problem. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, really lovely toiletries in the bathrooms with verandas and sitting out areas. You wake up to the sound of sheep bells and donkeys in the nearby fields. The hotel is less than a year old and is kept spotlessly clean. The pool is surprisingly deep and great for cooling off after a day's sightseeing or sunbathing. Breakfast is ordered the night before on their app to cut down on waste and it's so beautiful sitting on the terrace with chill zone music looking out over the bay. We spent 3 days there and decompressed completely! Would I recommend it ?- 100% yes. Would I go back? - 100% yes.

The location, the comfort, everything about the property was wonderful

New and well maintained. Very clean. Ideal location just up on the hills of the town but close enough to walk into town. Amazing views. Staff were excellent who did everything to make our stay great. Lovely breakfasts with very large choice. Tastefully decorated and fitted out.

It would be good to have some more shade on the patio area around the pool. At 5pm there is no shade. Also the pool water is very cold to the point we didn’t use it. But I expect in the height of the summer it would be OK.

Everything was amazing! Clean, comfortable, very stylish, but the best part are the people - who are always happy to help with anything you could need. One of the best accommodations we've ever stayed at!

If you are looking to relax in a peaceful location overlooking the bay of Kamares while sipping a delicious cocktail and enjoying the cristalline waters of the swimming pool you are at the right address at the Voya. The staff is exceptionally friendly and they are all going up and beyond to make you feel special. The beach is only a short walk awa. The rooms are beautifully spacious, bright and have everything you need. You wake up to the chime of the bells of sheep grazing and the outline of the steep mountains gracefully towering over the picturesque village of Kamares. The whole experience is food for your soul and resting to the eye. Thank you from the bottom of our heart to Christina, Delphine and Manolis for making our stay a dream. ♥️
