The West is central in old quarter , to great shopping and restaurants .it was clean and has fantastic management that were friendly and so polite that made our stay enjoyable.

We had the best breakfast of our entire trip at this hotel. It is true that there is no window in the room, but the air conditioning and the comfortable mattress make the room really pleasant. The hotel's location is truly its strong point !

The location is absolutely great 👍... if your visiting night market its the ideal location.

Breakfast was very limited. Though I have decided to check in one day before and checkout one day earlier, the hotel wanted me to pay for the additional day. Though I informed them earlier, they were not very convinced as staff in the front desk kept on changing.

location was prefect, close to everything, walking distance to the lake, market and restaurants. The front of house staff were very helpful and accommodating.

La amabilidad del personal. Nos buscaron el Transfer al aeropuerto. Cómo nuestro vuelo no salía hasta las 23.00, nos permitieron dejar las maletas allí y estar en un salón en las horas de más calor. Todo fueron facilidades.

Breakfast was limited, especially for vegetarians, but still sufficient to satisfy the palate. Fruit is of the highest quality. Hotel provided brown-bag breakfast which was very adequate for an early morning start. Staff were all-round very helpful. We had a room with an internal window which was not as bad as we expected. We had a room in the middle floor (3) which worked out well during the intense heat as guests on the top floor reportedly complained about the temperature. The A/C worked very well. Excellent location in the centre of the Old Quarter - great restaurants in the neighborhood. Special 'Thank you' to Ki at Reception - he was very helpful at all times with directions etc. Most of the staff spoke english. They accommodated an hour late check-out and kept the baggage. Would definitely recommend a stay here. Also good advanced communication prior to arrival by management is very reassuring - thank you Mike for keeping in touch!

Great location. Though when night market is going on cars can’t access the location and you’ll have to walk a block or two. Room was exceptionally clean and the staff were really accommodating and nice.

beds were stiff, but they were no different than all the other beds in Thailand. Dark in the mornings due to the lack of a real window in our room. There was a window/door (not a balcony) but it opened up to a column in the center of the building.

The staff is excellent, it’s clean with a good breakfast. You could not ask for a better location in old quarter.

The staff is very kind and helpful. They helped me with the airport pick up service (very good service). They also took the time to book a Grab for me for my transfer. Very nice location too. I recommend.

Todo estuvo perfecto. El spa es algo que hay que probar después de un largo día caminando. Leo fue muy amable y nos ayudó mucho con recomendaciones de restaurantes locales. El ambiente aquí es realmente encantador.

This is a great place to stay, fantastic location in the old quarter, good sized room and everything was clean. What really makes this an extraordinary experience is the staff! The whole team are just so friendly, cheerful and happy to have a chat or give you a suggestion for anything from the best egg coffee, what sites to see, the best Bun Cha or even help with putting your bags in the back of your airport transfer and making sure the driver knows which terminal to take you to. It's all done with a smile and such ease.

The location is a dream- everything is just a short walk away. Our room was super clean and the bed was one of the comfiest I've ever slept in. Huge thanks to Mike for being so welcoming!

Abbiamo avuto un ottimo soggiorno al The West Hotel & SPA: la posizione eccellente, a pochi passi dal Lago di Hoan Kiem e nel cuore del quartiere vecchio di Hanoi. La camera era pulita e spaziosa. Ma ciò che ha fatto la differenza è stato il personale impeccabile nell’assisterci per ogni esigenza: grazie al receptionist Leo per averci aiutato ad organizzare gli spostamenti verso la Baia di Ha Long e Ninh Binh, e per essere stato sempre a disposizione per ogni esigenza.

La colazione potrebbe essere arricchita con una maggiore scelta.

We had a wonderful experience at The West Hotel during our time in Hanoi. Our initial stay was for one night as a group of three, and we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room felt. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the bathroom was notably larger than what we had experienced in other hotels. Everything was impeccably clean, and it was clear the staff took great pride in maintaining the space — we saw them carefully tending to the foyer and common areas regularly. We enjoyed our stay so much that we returned twice more as our travel plans shifted. Each time, the hotel felt like a familiar and comforting place to come back to — almost like a safe haven when things didn’t go to plan. The staff were consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive, which made all the difference. A big shout out to Mike, Emma, Leo, and Travis, who were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stays. They supported us with everything from storing luggage to assisting with logistics planning when things fell apart — their care and professionalism truly stood out. Breakfast offered a good variety of both Western and Vietnamese options, with something for everyone. We also appreciated that additional dishes, such as pancakes, could be prepared upon request. Overall, a reliable, clean, and genuinely welcoming place to stay in Hanoi in the heart of the old quarter. We wouldn’t hesitate to return again.

The hotel’s location right in front of the night market was a real highlight — it made exploring the atmosphere, food, and local stalls incredibly easy and enjoyable. Despite being in such a central and bustling area, it was impressively quiet inside the hotel, which made it easy to relax and unwind. On one of our stays, we were even located right next to the lift and didn’t hear a thing, which really speaks to how well sound is managed throughout the property. One thing to keep in mind is that during market hours, the road is closed to cars, so taxis can’t pick up directly from the hotel entrance. Motorbikes can still pass through, and for cars, alternative pickup points are just a short walk away.

We were there on a Friday night walked out the hotel door and it was a whole street of local markets, the location is by far the best , 150mts and you are at the lake. Just the perfect location, Buffet breakfast is probably close to being the best I have ever had, great selection of foods and fresh fruit l, pastries, hot western food, hot Vietnamese food and cereals.

We were on level 6 all by ourselves only 1 hotel room on 6th floor and maybe the only downside there is another room on level 6 and it’s the room attendants storage room so they are there early and you do hear the ghost noises haha obviously if they need something during the night they do come up but it wasn’t bad but they are there pretty early.

Location was perfect, beautiful views from balcony of the lake and busy streets. 50m from the lake, right in old quarter and 5 min walk to beer street. Was clean, comfortable, and hosted me exceptionally well.

Wszystko było po prostu „łatwe”. Bez stresu, świetna lokalizacja i bardzo wygodne pokoje. To miejsce daje o wiele lepsze wrażenie niż duże, chłodne hotele.

Easy walk to loads of restaurants, Hoan Kiem lake, markets etc. we only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer!

I’m not going to bag this hotel like some of the other guests. For the price and location this is a very good hotel. The staff were great, breakfast was good to start the day, our room was satisfactory to our needs, it was clean even though no window but we booked knowing that and it was quiet, location was excellent- walked everywhere from here, the night markets on the weekend are outside your door. Will stay here again when I come back.

Wir mussten ein paar Minuten warten, bis unser Zimmer fertig war, aber Travis hat uns währenddessen einen großartigen lokalen Kaffee angeboten. Die Atmosphäre im The West war wirklich angenehm und gemütlich, fast wie zu Hause.

Honestly, it felt more like staying at a friend's place than a hotel. Travis and Leo were so sweet and always remembered our coffee order in the morning. Such a homey vibe.

The lift is a bit slow during busy hours, but the staff are so quick to help with everything else that it didn't bother us. Thanks to Mike for everything
