El recibimiento con la actividad para los niños fue maravilloso y nos permitió conocer todas las instalaciones del hotel. ¡Realmente piensan en todo! Una experiencia hermosa, especialmente para disfrutar en familia. ¡Súper recomendado!

We absolutely LOVED it here so much we stayed another night, we were in need of a few days to just relax and this was perfect, chill at hotel in the day and pop into town when we wanted

Las instalaciones son hermosas, las habitaciones grandes, cómodas y limpias, el personal demasiado amable y atento, estar entre la naturaleza, ver el lago , sus alrededores son divinos.

La carta del restaurante, el menú muy reducido, no ofrecen nada típico de la región, nunca en el desayuno hubo la arepa de choclo a pesar de estar en el menú, no tienen opciones para el desayuno diferentes y saludables, las porciones pequeñas. Un no con su menú.

El entorno del hotel, con sus hermosos jardines, así como la amabilidad del personal fueron sobresalientes.

Considero que se puede mejorar un poco la formación del personal de servicio del restaurante, aunque la actitud de los empleados fuera buena.

Situado justo al lado de La Piedra. La habitación con una vista al lago espectacular. El desayuno sin ser buffet, es una maravilla. Un montón de platos para elegir y todos ellos buenísimos. La zona húmeda del exterior una gozada. El gimnasio con unas vistas y una terraza al lago impresionante.

La luz del baño y del vestidor son malísimas.

The staff from check in to the restaurant and housekeeping were sensational. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The location on the lake is gorgeous as are the grounds. Just about a 10-15 minute ride into the main town. Truly exceptional stay. We would highly recommend.

It’s a beautiful property with a nice view of the lake from rooms and restaurant. The restaurant had amazing food and service! Excellent location we walked from the hotel up the hill to the Rock of Guatape.

Haberme quedado tan poquitos dias, muy buen hotel, recomendadisimo.

La vegetación muy linda, la zona del jacuzzi y de la fogata, y de la playita con las asoleadoras muy bonita.

La almohadas muy altas y no hubo opciones de más bajas. La bañera de hidromasaje no hace nada de masaje, mucho chorros no funcionaban y los que sí, solo soplaban.

Hermoso hotel, lo más destacado es buen servicio de todo el personal, es un lugar en general tranquilo. Restaurante delicioso con variedad de alimentos adecuada, además delicioso desayuno a la carta. Tiene una zona de juegos espectacular, fuimos con hija y pasó feliz (lo destaco porque además en la zona no hay muchos hoteles en los que se de pie se también en ellos. Nos quedamos en la Gran suite, habitación muy amplia, baños enormes muy bien dotados, camas cómodas.

El único problema que tuvimos fue que en al lado de la habitación está la planta de ahí caliente del hotel, lo cual genera un sonido vibratorio bastante incómodo en la noche, solicitamos a lla personal una solución y aunque fueron muy amables y se muestrearon abiertos a lo que pusiera hacer mejor nuestra estadía, no se resolvió el problema, nos dijeron que no se podía apagar la planta ya que era el agua caliente de todo el hotel y la solución que nos plantearon fue llevarnos unos tapones para los oídos, la verdad no nos pareció una solución adecuada y aunque además nos dieron late check out por el inconveniente creo que no está bien tener algo que genere tanto ruido al lado de una cama de hotel, y mucho menos en la habitación más costosa.

Wow—Tau House in Guatapé was an absolute 5-star experience from start to finish. I was celebrating a birthday, and the team went above and beyond by surprising us with a cake—such a thoughtful touch that made the stay even more special. The service was exceptional across the board. A big thank you to Alejandro, our waiter, for his attentiveness and warm energy, and to Santiago, the manager, for ensuring everything ran perfectly. The entire staff made us feel welcomed and taken care of at every moment. The food was excellent, the design is stunning, and the luxury lakefront setting creates an unforgettable atmosphere. You truly feel the elegance and intention behind every detail of the property. This has officially become my go-to spot in Guatapé—I’ll definitely be back and already looking forward to staying in the Presidential Suite next time. Highly recommend. Five stars all the way.

The yuca waffles are the best I've ever had! The hotel itself is lovely with great facilities like the gym, yoga space, padel court, and access to the lake for kayaking and more. We were able to walk to the big rock too so good location. A short drive into town.

La comida deliciosa, el lugar da mucha paz, el personal sabe cómo dar un excelente servicio, me sentí muy a gusto. El gerente del hotel estuvo siempre muy pendiente de que los huéspedes se sientan a gusto.

One of the worst hotels we stayed at this year. At first glance, the hotel looked amazing and, compared to other hotels in Guatapé, it was very expensive—mostly because of social media hype. When we arrived, the hotel was under renovation, very dusty and noisy. The jacuzzi didn’t really work and the water was freezing cold. The room was large and luxurious on one hand, but the bed was uncomfortable—very soft. Outside our room, there was a service room or something similar, which meant a constant parade of staff carrying chairs, trays, and other things. It was impossible to open the curtains and enjoy the view without losing all peace and quiet. The view from the hotel was indeed beautiful, and the food was excellent—credit where it’s due. The staff were all friendly and nice. During our stay, there was a fashion event or something similar, which completely ruined the experience. The noise was insane, and many “influencers” were running around the rooms. One of them even accidentally entered our room (probably had a master key because she was a friend of the hotel manager) and didn’t even apologize. It was really disrespectful. Because of the event, the gym was closed with no prior notice. We had originally booked two nights but canceled the second night because of all these issues. Overall, a terrible experience and definitely not worth the money. The food is the only reason to go, but don’t believe everything you see on social media. A very bad experience!

‏ I stay in this hotel before it was excellent now they have a new management a lot of stuff not working like for example that Jacuzzi they never came to clean our room. We came back late in the room was not clean. I will never come back.

The location, resort, and staff were great. The only down fall is that the bathroom did not have ventilation and the window in the bathroom felt like you did not have privacy, but besides that It was wonderful stay.

Tau House was absolutely perfect. After our trip from Cartagena, we needed a couple of days to relax, and this was the best place to do it. We had the best room, right outside the hot tub, and that evening we enjoyed it all to ourselves. It was the ultimate relaxation — and later, when a storm rolled in, it felt just right to be cozy and tucked in. One highlight was ordering room service — the carrot cake was spectacular! In the morning, we woke up and took a peaceful walk around the property, which only added to the experience of rest and serenity. The service, the ownership, and everyone we interacted with were super kind and welcoming. On top of that, the location was very convenient. I give Tau House five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to relax and enjoy!

Food was delicious

A beautiful tranquil hotel only a five minute drive from La Piedra. It was about a 10 min drive into the centre of the Guatape town. Amazing size rooms, unbelievably comfy beds, really quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was delicious, and we loved our balcony. The staff were also lovely and very helpful. They helped us organise a boat trip, jet skis and a massage!

It was a shame that wasn’t a proper pool - only really a shallow cool pool and a large jacuzzi. If there had been a proper pool it would have been perfect!

La comida muy buena, guatapé es muy lindo. Las instalaciones también se ven muy cuidadas y muy lindas. Las vistas desde las zonas comunes también muy lindas.

Habíamos solicitado una actividad que ofrece el mismo hotel para hacer cuatrimoto y cuando llegamos, nos recibe un conductor de TukTuk cobrándonos un extra (teníamos entendido que estaba incluido en la actividad) y bastante grosero al preguntar también cuánto habíamos pagado por montar quatris. Nos deja nuevamente en el hotel y nos dicen que sí, que eso corre por cuenta nuestra y además en efectivo. Proceden a llamarnos un nuevo tuktuk y todos estaban ocupados así que tocó cancelar la actividad. Les explicamos que realmente esa gestión debió hacerla el hotel ya que se les avisó con tiempo y básicamente nos dijeron que era nuestra culpa. Nos entregaron la habitación a las 3:30pm (cuando llegamos al hotel 2:15pm) y las sábanas estaban húmedas. Pedimos que las cambiaran y lo que hicieron fue decirnos que eso era un spray que aplicaban para que oliera bien (realmente no olía a nada). Nos sentamos en la terraza a pedir bebidas y nos dicen que se demora 30 minutos porque hay mucha gente por delante. Le pregunté si realmente por un jugo y un coctel se demoraban tanto y el mesero solo contestó “Ah ok”. Pasaron 28 minutos y llegó nuestro pedido… así que el servicio del hotel realmente parece de uno de tres estrellas y no cinco como lo promocionan. Pedimos una habitación con terraza y con vista y nos dieron la del primer piso que daba a la piscina. Durante el día se escuchaban los niños gritando y durante la noche, la música de los asistentes borrachos. Menos mal llovió porque la “vista” que teníamos era de ellos en vestido de baño. Bastante costoso para lo que ofrece y sin hablar de los personajes de huéspedes que vimos en el hotel…

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect from start to finish. We came as a family and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with every detail thoughtfully provided for comfort. The staff went above and beyond—always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. The location was ideal, making it easy to explore and enjoy the area. The amenities, from the pool to the breakfast, were top-notch and added so much to our stay. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and already looking forward to returning. Highly recommend this hotel for families or anyone seeking an exceptional getaway!

The views of guatape waterfront and vaulted cieling in the king room stood out to us the most. All the amenities were perfect all the way down to the gym area.

We liked everything, but one thing we would recommend is have the "Tau House" sign and address on the right side of the driveway entrance. It was difficult to see when driving up the hill because the sign is on the left side of the entrance.

2nd time at this property. Room now had AC. This properry is perfect!!!

We booked very last minute and only for one night but I wish we had been here longer. Excellent location, the breakfast was the finest we have had in Colombia and the waiting staff are beyond attentive. The room was clean and comfortable. I genuinely cannot find fault with this lovely hotel. I would certainly return and I highly recommend staying here.
