Comfy bed. Quiet. Close to Centro Historical. Breakfast is offered, but we passed. Bottle water in room left for us, which was nice. Kind staff & helpful with room key. 🔑 I’d stay there again.

Doors lock after 8pm. Need to call hotel to open the door or ring the bell since no door key given to the front door. But, it wasn’t a big issue. Close to restaurants & coffee shops.

I loved the room! The owners were super friendly and attentive . They helped me find places to eat locally . The breakfast was delicious. I felt at home . I’d stay again . The location is ideal for someone with no car . Walkable to restaurants, bars, Oxxo , close to city center to explore ! 10/10

creo que solo la iluminación del pasillo que da por una ventanita arriba de la puerta a la habitación, pero la apagaron y ya con eso, la verdad es que no fue un inconveniente

J’ai passé un très bon séjour au Gran Alcazar. L’accueil de Carlos est chaleureux et attentionné. La demeure a beaucoup de charme et le petit-déjeuner maison est excellent. L’ancienne ville coloniale se trouve à 5 mn.

Nous avons passé une nuit dans cet hôtel, de passage à San Luis Potosí. Les hôtes sont très gentils et discrets, nous avons eu du plaisir à faire leur connaissance. Ils nous ont préparé un excellent petit déjeuner ! La chambre était plutôt grande et les lits très confortables. Tout le bâtiment a de magnifiques plafonds hauts. Le patio est agréable pour se détendre. L'hôtel est bien situé, à quelques pâtés de maison du centre et il n'y a pas de bruit la nuit. Un parking est à proximité (125 pesos à payer directement à l'hôte).

Comme cela se faisait à l'époque, la salle de bain est petite - mais il y a de l'eau chaude si on a un peu de patience.

No tiene estacionamiento propio. Tiene convenio con un estacionamiento público que queda a 3 cuadras, eso no es muy agradable. La habitación bien, pero el baño demasiado pequeño e incómodo.

Problemas para estacionarse, en la app no te dicen que no tienen estacionamiento, que se llevan el auto y no ahí accesibilidad para los autos

The staff was very helpful and hospitable. They make you feel lile you are at home; and when asked about things to do, thet came up with a whole list of activities for us to do during our stay

Due to the centric location stopping in front of the hotel with your car is tricky, and the parking lot is 2 blocks away and costs extra (in my case 100 pesos.)

La casa habilitada como hotel está hermosa, todo muy pulcro, atendida por un matrimonio mayor bastante agradables y serviciales, y lo mejor definitivamente fué el desayuno, excelente sazón y presentación. Solo el estacionamiento queda a dos cuadras, pero vale la pena.

El aire acondicionado aunque no es tan necesario por el clima, sí se extrañó por un momento Y el hecho de solicitar salir y tocar el timbre para entrar es un poco incómodo, aunque se entiende debido a que da más seguridad y control y eso se agradece , entonces no es algo intrínsecamente malo, simplemente de gustos y cuestión de valorar que prefiere uno, la salida o entrada nunca te la niegan entonces no hay problema por ello

This is an amazing place to stay

The hosts were wonderful. They went above and beyond in providing information, arranging parking, making calls, and getting taxis. They stayed up very late to receive us when our flight was delayed. They made us a delicious breakfast each morning when we got up. They were professional and respectful but also warm and charming. We felt so at home that we returned for another stay at the end of our trip.

Pros: -The staff is super nice. They are both very polite and courteous. - the room was clean as expected - the breakfast was great considering that it was included on the fare. Coffee was grounded within the state of San Luis - the place looks picturesque and well maintained. - the owners always kept a polite attitude, they are very nice people. Cons: - so I filtered for hotels with parking. They do not have parking within the facilities, and they charge you extra $100 pesos for this. If you are driving, I’d consider other hotel. - when I booked, the app was jn USD, and it said I should pay around $900 pesos. But when I arrived; exchange rate must had updated because they charged me around 1100 pesos. - with these extra charges, I would had definitely stayed somewhere I else. Just keep in mind they have hidden charges. - although it is quite near to the city center, you have to cross a rather busy avenue. Keep this in mind if you are particularly travelling with children, again I’d book somewhere within the city centre.

Carlos was a very detailed and caring host. He had several options for breakfast, and I appreciated eating something healthy to start my day. In addition, the building is historical and decorated with a good deal of charm.

The hosts went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable

The good things: This is an excellent location to stay in San Luis--a short walk to the centro historico and in the other direction a short walk to lovely Tequisquiapan park and many restaurants. The owners are very nice and you are served a delicious made to order breakfast. The sheets, pillows and bedding are of very nice quality. I guess I didn't review the photos well enough, as our room was very dark, which surprised me. The shutters which you could open were to the hallway that everyone passed by, so I didn't feel comfortable having them open. I like to have windows with light and fresh air, so this was disappointing.

The internet usually did not work in the room, so you had to sit in the patio/hallway to get a signal and even then it often went out. The parking lot for the hotel is 350 metres away, so too far to carry luggage. You had to block traffic to load and unload any bags, while stopping your vehicle. I was annoyed as they did not charge my credit card in pesos at the contracted rate. Rather they added a 6.5% exchange cost and charged in dollars. I did not know about this until getting home to see my bill. My credit card has zero percent exchange cost, so this added an extra $40. I did not approve such a thing and it wasn't mentioned to me. From now on I will only reserve a hotel where Booking takes your payment, rather than being done at the hotel.

Our room was more spacious than expected and had air-conditioning. The hotel had nice plants in all the nooks and crannies. The breakfast prepared by Carlos was a great way to start the day in a soothing spacious dining area. Carlos was very attentive to our needs, willing to help us with anything we needed like restaurant recommendations or when the internet was down and he arranged a reliable taxi to the airport for us. We highly recommend this hotel.

Can't beat the location--about a 2-minute walk to the historic district, but in the other direction are lots of restaurants and nightlife. The breakfast was very good, and the owners are super nice.

I found the bed on the hard side (I prefer plush), and the one thing I really didn't like is that every time you come or go, they have to open the door for you (which we felt bad about coming home late after going dancing).

Everything is excellent. Particularly the breakfast is yummy.

It would be wonderful if the room facilities would be improved for example provision of cup at the toilet.

Exceptional owners make this colonial hotel a wonderful stay. High ceilings, walking distance to restaurants and Centro area, free parking nearby, clean, & safe. Free breakfast was made-to-order and delicious authentic Mexican food.

El servicio es muy bueno, es una casona adaptada a hotel. Muy colonial propia de la arquitectura del área. El estacionamiento está a 2 cuadras, muy conveniente. Mi única sugerencia es cambiar la regadera, ya que sale para todos lados. Definitivamente un lugar al que volvería

This 100 year old home is beautiful and perfectly maintained and comfortable. Very tall ceilings, beveled leaded glass, antique crafts in the dining room. The owners, Carlos and Bertha are attentive, respectful and wonderful hosts.

The staff was very nice and helpful. A good value for the prince. Very good breakfast. Expect confortable accommodation with the essential but no luxury as the name "boutique" would suggest.

Marta and Carlos are the owners and they are so sweet. They were very attentive to our needs and made sure our stay was comfortable. The location is very central and they even offered parking nearby. There were no issues at all. They offer a homemade breakfast with care and attention to detail.

Great location, beautifully decorated, room was large with a very comfortable bed, delicious homemade breakfast, and extremely kind hosts.

The only minor complaint was that you needed to knock or make a phone call for the staff to open the front door, but they answered so quickly at anytime time that it wasn’t a big deal at all.
