Such a unique and beautiful experience. The location is stunning, the owners and staff responsive and obviously care.

Toda a paisagem é lindíssima, e o aldeamento é bonito por dentro e por fora. Os funcionários são inexcedíveis, em particular o Luca, e tudo fizeram para garantir o nosso bem estar. A limpeza diária e o facto de deixarem pão quente à porta de casa são fatores que valorizamos muito.

Gostaria de ter sabido de antemão que para chegar à casa teria de deixar o carro a 2 km e de fazer um trilho de altos e baixos por terra que, com crianças, demora quase 1h. E gostaria de ter sabido que, à exceção do dia de chegada e da partida, cada deslocação da casa até ao carro ou do carro até casa seria cobrada a 30€ e só até às 17h, o que condicionou os planos que tínhamos feito.

- la vue époustouflante - l’emplacement est exceptionnel et à une courte distance de marche de la Faja de Santo Christo qui est sans aucun doute le plus bel endroit de l’île (et il y a deux restaurants sur place) - la maison était propre et très fonctionnelle - le check-in et le Check-out en buggy sont agréables - la gentillesse et la disponibilité des hôtes et l’existence d’un magasin pouvant dépanner un éventuel oubli au supermarché, livraison de pain frais sur notre porte le matin - dans l’ensemble, nous avons passé un excellent séjour !

- le sauna n’est ouvert que de 9h à 17h donc il y a peu de chance d’en profiter car si on part de Kuanza le matin, on ne peut pas repasser avant 17h aussi simplement que dans un autre hôtel au vu du sentier qui est certes assez court mais plutôt sportif - les piscines sont plutôt là pour faire joli que de réelles infrastructures (pas de profondeur, très petites) - une machine à laver dans la chambre ou au moins au sein du domaine serait un + très agréable. - à conseiller plutôt pour une ou deux nuits lorsqu’on est pas uniquement venus à Sao Jorge pour la randonnée car le fait de partir et de revenir à Kuanza reste une démarche (entre 20 et 30 minutes de marche + la remontée de la Faja en voiture qui prend 15 à 20 minutes) ! Cependant n’hésitez pas à venir, le cadre en vaut largement le détour !

Außergewöhnliche Lage (nicht direkt mit dem Auto erreichbar) in der Natur und wunderschöne Umgebung. Toller Ort zum Entspannen. Jedes Apartment/Haus hat einen eigenen Grillplatz und Terasse mir Sitzgelegenheiten. Man kann direkt von der Unterkunft loswandern.

Nichts wesentliches, etwas mehr Licht in der Küche wäre aber super

It's exceptional 👏 everything was perfect. The uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean, the beautiful house we stayed in every detail was thoughtfully executed. Luca is a friendly knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you, my only regret is we should have stayed longer !

Un lieu tout à fait exceptionnel ! La sensation de se sentir très privilégiée de pouvoir profiter de ce lieu sublime. La maison était très agréable, confortable et décorée avec soin. La terrasse tout équipée offrait une vue incroyable sur l'océan. Nos hôtes ont été très attentifs tout au long du séjour avec différentes attentions: petits pains chauds livrés tous les matins, réservation de restaurant, conseils de visite... A noter: il faut compter 30min à pied pour rejoindre le logement mais ça en vaut largement le coup et ça rajoute au sentiment de bout du monde.

Super localisation un peu reculé mais pas trop non plus. Je recommande d’y passer au moins 3 nuits!

Dokonała lokalizacja w malowniczej osadzie, fajną atrakcją z dojazdem do obiektu quadem. Przemiłe powitanie butelka wina.

Fantastische plek op het mooie eiland Sao Jorge. De rit is indrukwekkend. Het uitzicht op de fajas en de korte rit met de quad naar faja do Belo. Wij verbleven in het vrijstaande huis en het overtrof onze verwachting. Schitterend uitzicht en ook het huis zelf: modern en comfortabel. Zo waren de bedden super!. Fijne douche, geoutilleerde keuken en BBQ. Tip: neem als je boodschappen doet BBQ kolen en vlees/vis mee. Mooie basis om tot rust te komen, te hiken (keuze is wat beperkt-links of rechts) en van het uitzicht te genieten.

Dat we weer weg moesten :)

Bardzo urokliwe miejsce. Polecam domek nad samym oceanem. Piękne wschody i zachody słońca. Obsluga bardzo miła i pomocna. Domek czysty, zadbany. Codziennie świeże pieczywo. Dwa baseny są wystarczające zeby sie zrelaksować. Małe boisko do siatkówki też sie sprawdziło.

The place is beautiful and the houses are clean and comfortable. We had an amazing experience, we loved being in a quiet and peaceful place. Everyone was very nice and friendly.

The only thing that was a bit annoying was the 25 mins walk to the car. It would have been nice if they could provide a lift service, even once a day, without cost

Außergewöhnlicher Aufenthalt, über die Ankunft, Umgebung, Natur, sehr zu empfehlen. Netter Willkommensgruß mit Käse und Marmelade, sehr ruhig, sehr interessant! Haben uns super wohl gefühlt! Sauna war prima. Beste Zeit auf den Azoren!

Wir waren im. März dort. Eine Heizmöglichkeit im Wohnbereich wäre gut gewesen, Klimageräte in den Schlafräumen sind aber vorhanden.

Prachtige locatie op een faja. De mensen zijn super vriendelijk en bereikbaar via WhatsApp. Ze regelen alles voor je (vervoer naar je huisje, taxi voor een wandeling). Met een buggy word je met je spullen afgezet bij je huisje, omdat het laatste stukje weg niet met je eigen auto kan. De weg is goed op te wandelen.

A estadia no Kuanza foi simplesmente inesquecível... A localização é fantástica, numa fajã de uma beleza de cortar a respiração... Um verdadeiro retiro, ideal para quem procura sossego e natureza no seu estado mais puro. O Luca foi buscar-nos e desde o início nos fez sentir bem-vindos, e mostrou-se sempre super disponível para ajudar. Queremos muito voltar e recomendamos!

Merveilleux séjour dans ce petit coin de paradis! Tout était parfait, en commençant par le chaleureux accueil de Beto qui vient nous chercher ( avec nos bagages) à notre arrivée. L’emplacement est incroyable et la marche pour s’y rendre en vaut amplement la peine , on est vite subjugué par la beauté du paysage tout au long du parcours ! Le fajä da Caldeira de Santo Cristo se trouve à 20 minutes de marche du site de Kuanza et de là débute une magnifique randonnée en montagne! Nous avons pu également y manger en réservant une journée d’avance. La maison ou nous avons séjourné était impeccable, joliment décorée, très confortable, et super bien équipée. Notre seul regret est de ne pas avoir pu y rester quelques jours de plus ! Merci spécial à Beto qui à rendu ce séjour mémorable.

Die Alleinlage mitten in der Natur ist unglaublich. Die gesamte Kuanza Mannschaft war super freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Если вы хотите испытать чувства, которые испытывали первооткрыватели XVI века, то это место однозначно требует вашего внимания. Чёрные дома с красными ставнями, затерявшиеся у подножия величественных зелёных гор, фантастическая дорога по непроходимым для автомобиля серпантинам, потрясающий запах цветов, шум океана и пение птиц - здесь есть всё, чтобы ощущать первобытные давно забытые человеком чувства. Сами дома очень комфортные с видом на океан. С уютными комнатами, комфортной кроватью и подушками, с оборудованной кухней. Мы здесь провели незабываемые 3 дня!

Высота монтажа душевой лейки, раковины и зеркала над ней в ванной были рассчитаны на людей с ростом 1 метр 60 сантиметров. Приходилось наклоняться. Также не очень комфортно в нашем конкретном доме находился уличный стол - у входной двери в соседний номер, поэтому мы им не пользовались. Ну и стоит отметить, что заказ квадроцикла до стоянки машин стоит 30 евро, что довольно дорого для такой непродолжительной поездки.

Die ganze Unterkunft ist absolut außergewöhnlich. Man muss das Auto auf einem Parkplatz abstellen und wird dann per Quad inkl. Gepäck abgeholt und auf einer abenteuerlichen Fahrt über einen schmalen Weg am Steilhang zum Hotel gefahren. Die traditionellen Steinhäuser sind urgemütlich mit überdachter Terrasse und Grillmöglichkeit und innen modern und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Man wohnt völlig abseits und in kompletter Ruhe. Die Betreuung besonders durch Beto ist immer hervorragend, wir denken gern an ihn zurück. Er hat uns auch immer pünktlich die exotische Sauna angeheizt, die direkt neben unserem Haus war. Zum Abendessen muss man immer über einen schmalen Pfad am Hang zur nächsten Faja (Bucht) wandern. Dort waren wir meist bei Ricardo in einem einfachen, urigen kleinen Restaurant. Gutes Essen und super Gastgeber, man ist bei ihm immer willkommen. Nach dem Essen geht es dann mit der Taschenlampe zurück zur Unterkunft.

Die beiden Pools sind aus Sicherheitsgründen sehr flach, so dass man nur plantschen und nicht richtig schwimmen kann.

La localisation est absolument magique, le personnel sympathique et la maison très confortable. A 30 minutes de marche sur un très joli sentier, on atteint un village avec 2 délicieux restaurants. Expérience unique garantie !

Son atout est peut être sa principale contrainte: son isolement relatif puisqu’il est accessible en qwad ou apres 3,5 km de marche uniquement.

This property is in a special part of the island. The houses maintain the integrity of the culture and original structures, made only more special by the owners and team. Stellar folks. Fresh bread delivered daily, views that are unimaginable and service and care that feels personal (only a text message away). Don’t hesitate to book a stay here. I travelled solo and felt right at home (and safe).

A fajã do Belo tem um encanto único! Os anfitriões são de uma amabilidade ímpar.

Ce n'est pas du tout un défaut, mais il faut bien penser à faire quelques courses avant de venir (le personnel vous le rappelle par message avant votre arrivée) car une fois sur place au coeur de la "Faja", il n'y a pas de commerce !

Amazing experience! The cottages are in a gorgeous location with stunning views and very comfortable accommodation, master bed, cold AC and perfect kitchen with outdoor grilling area as well. The manager and owners of the property were very welcoming and friendly. They gave us great recommendations on restaurants and nearby grocery for our remote cottage. We can’t wait to come back to this unique property!!! What a hidden gem. They arranged for a four wheel ride from the parking area, but it was also really cool to hike the trail path in to the cottage during our stay.

So comfortable and unique experience. Nothing that I didn’t like. They had 2 pools and sauna and are opening a spa and yoga area soon. Can’t wait to come back!

The reason to stay is for the remote beauty of the location, the hiking that is easily available outside your door and for the experience!

The facilities are a little rustic for the price! It is cost prohibitive for most.

Kuanza Nature Experience is the ideal place to disconnect and recharge. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, it offers total peace and quiet without sacrificing comfort. The facilities are modern, well-designed, and seamlessly blend into the natural environment. A special shoutout to Beto, whose hospitality and attention to detail took the experience to another level. His warmth, local knowledge, and care made us feel truly looked after throughout our short stay. If you’re looking to unwind in style, with the best of nature and modern comforts, Kuanza is the perfect retreat.

The place is perfect, but very isolated. No services after 5pm in low season.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Kuanza in the Malandro House. Communication before arrival was very good both with the owner & with Beto the manager. We appreciated the welcome bottle of wine & goodies & the morning rolls delivered to our house. Luckily the weather behaved allowing us to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the walk, the beachfront views of the ocean, a dip in the cold pool & we utilised the wonderful sauna in-between all those things. Sauna towels & robes are graciously supplied. As said in previous comments, the location is stunning & the beautiful look of the stone houses is impressive. Being there just before the summer we were able to enjoy peace & quiet, although come the busy season be prepared for that private ambiance to be fully disrupted by the sheer numbers of walkers walking by & the noisy ATV’s carting guests back & forth from nearby accomodations. The bed was comfortable with nice linen, the towels were of good quality: large & fluffy. The cleaning ladies do a great job & we fell in love with Beto who was an excellent caretaker & an all round nice guy.

Given the VERY high rate charged per night, expectations for value naturally increase. Unfortunately this is where we were disappointed & felt like there were missing items & lack of thought/investment for patron’s comfort. The dining arrangement consisted of 4 bar stools around a high table. Why 4 for a 2 birth cabin? It just made it tight. The stools themselves were flimsy & didn’t feel safe/sturdy to be comfortable enough. A regular table with 2 regular chairs would have been much better. Needed: a small table to place coffee cup when sitting on couch. The cutting knives did not cut-they were completely blunt. There were no large bowls for things like salad or popcorn or mixing a pancake batter etc. The only 2 coffee cups provided are small & without a handle (not everyone drinks espresso!) Some napkins or paper towels are a necessary item & were missing. Kitchen has a tiny (almost nonexistent) workspace. An extra workbench could be added to the empty wall to house the coffee paraphernalia & free up some bench space. Broom/dustpan sits next to the dining table & is ugly there. Hang it on a hook by the door. The toilet paper stand is very ugly, wobbly & takes up precious space in a tight bathroom area. A regular toilet roll holder installed on the side of the vanity would be more pleasant & hygienic. There are 2 very cheap camp chairs provided. Really? For accommodation at this price proper comfy outdoor deck chairs are a minimal expectation. Yes, there is also the picnic table… The small bbq is slightly absurd. To light a whole fire for a few sausages or whatever doesn’t seem logical. How about a small gas or electric bbq for guest convenience? Not wanting to complain but we are firm believers of giving truthful reviews for others to be able to make informed decisions. All too often the glowing positive comments do not allow for this to happen.

This property is in a spectacular location overlooking the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. You have to coordinate the resorts ATV transportation but it's we'll with the effort. This is a perfect place to escape so stay at least a few days if not more. You should stop at the grocery store and be fully stocked for meals although you're greeted with homemade bread, local cheese and the owners produced wine.

This was a trip of a lifetime! This is the most quiet and enjoyable spot on the entire island! It is so peaceful and our family loved our time here. We enjoyed hiking, the sauna, and the wonderful welcome goodies and morning bread. The staff goes above and beyond!

Bezo met us and was a lovely host. The location was gorgeous and remote. Make sure you bring your groceries. Everything is closed come October. Although they sell a few things like wine milk etc.

The bugs that came in the house on the floor in October was disturbing but I guess that happens everywhere in the stone houses that time of the year. The winds blew 60 miles per house and the rain made the house very noisy.

I can’t say enough about this place! For starters great communication. Amazing guy Beto picked us up and showed the property. Spotless, helpful, grand views, comfy. If I could give it (and Beto) a higher rating I would.
