Viet Hoang Hotel Bao Lac

Location, the village is small but nearby the hotel there's a lot of choices for food.

The bed is hard like marble slab, the curtain doesn't block the sunlight. The view it's on the river but it is very dirty, so ain't that pleasant view.

Considering the other options around, it’s manageable for one night, at least for someone like me, who isn’t very picky and is used to camping. It felt like staying at my grandma’s house when I was a kid, with heavy blankets on the bed.

The worst part for me was the smell of the linens, I don’t want to be unfair, but they didn’t smell freshly washed. The bathroom still had amenities from the previous guests and the floor was completely wet. Also, the bathroom has an open gap in the ceiling leading to the corridor.

Beds were comfy and lots of space! The tv had YouTube which i like to watch before bed.

The Heater didn’t really heat the room up properly but I used the extra blanket from the other bed so I was fine!

Beautiful and spacious room with view on the river. Very friendly hosts. basically it was very clean. In the neighbourhood you can find plenty of restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Inside parking of our bicycles was not a problem at all! there is a quick laundry service

The bed linen is not changed after every guest. It was clean, but it was obvious that someone had slept in it before. But that is probably normal in this area.

Not very clean - bathroom had hairs all over the side from where someone else had shaved.

The staff was all composed of children playing video games (at least when I visited) and understandably distracted. This lead to someone checking out another guest thinking it was me, which then lead to complications with he payment and a complicated exhausting check out procedure. Lost half an hour and nobody speaks a word of English, unfortunately google translate was not enough to understand each other

Laundry service was quick and affordable! Owners also moved our bikes inside at night. Beds pretty comfortable!

Loved the small patio that faces the river so that you can hear the rushing water! Although staff did not speak English he was helpful and assisted in booking a bus :) A/c and fan were nice!

It is very simple, the bed was not bad but not great. The room seemed a bit dated.

The room was very clean and the shower was hot. We got a room on the riverside which had a nice view and was more quiet that the street side. We did laundry and they had it ready very punctual.

A lot of karaoke places down the street, some drunk people screaming at night. A possibility to fill you water bottle would be nice, you can buy water bottles for 10k.

Lovely people. Room for a solo traveler was basic but clean and everything you could ask for. Nice little balcony. Right in the middle of everything, so not a far walk if you're hungry or gotta do some shopping. Can definitely recommend!

We enjoyed a one night stay. Very clean and comfortable, had everything we needed. A great stop on our way to drive the loop.

Family were doing some renovations. But wasn’t to much on an inconvenience, just means making improvements for future visitors.

This hotel is a good choice for staying in Bao Lac, that has little to offer. The room is large and well equipped, with balcony overviewing the river. Bathroom and toilet ok. Nice owner.

The hotel does not offer dinner and breakfast.

Very nice spirited hosts. Room was clean and everything was as it should have been. Location is good with all necessities only a walk away. The Sunday market is a little far for walking but having a motorcycle that was not an issue.

Everything was great. Room is spacious and clean with a cute balcony. We were able to park our motorbike inside, so it was safe during the night. Towels, shampoo and soap are provided. Friendly family, highly recommend!

Lovely staff, big room, clean, had a balcony and big windows, wifi was strong. Best accommodation we stayed at on the Ha Giang loop.

Walls were very thin, you could hear a lot especially people coming up and down stairs and in the hallway. Bed was a little hard.

The couple running the place is amazing, very friendly. They did some laundry for us. The rooms are well decorated and with a river view. peaceful. Local restaurants nearby.

Friendly family hotel with kind assistance during Tet when we had a flat tire. Very clean room and bathroom with view at the river and green gardens behind the hotel. Central location between Dong Van and Coa Bang in a quite village. We had a ton of fun with a crazy owner/chef of a street food restaurant.

the room was very spacious with a nice little balcony and a/c which was very helpful with the cold temperatures. The bathroom was very clean and the showers were hot with good pressure. moreover the family that runs the place was super lovely and welcoming. they helped us with all our questions, recommended closeby restaurants and gifted us homemade snacks!

Wonderful little hotel in Bao Lac. Run by a sweet family that are very helpful. Room was comfortable with strong WiFi and a nice balcony looking out over the river. The room was pretty quiet despite some construction nearby. Nice and cheap restaurants only a short stroll away.

Not related with hotel itself: there is a construction next door. So it was quite noisy at the morning.

Really surprised with a beautiful clean, bright and spacious room! Hosts were really nice and they helped us get an amazing vegetarian meal next door! Highly recommend!!

Nothing it was perfect

The owners are very friendly and even helped us catch the local bus to Coa Bang and got it to stop outside the hotel. Room 303 was very pleasant with a small balcony overlooking the river. Incredible value for money
