Mactan Cebu is a good stop in or out of the airport What we liked the most: - the excellence of the hotel’s teams: smiling and caring, polite and efficient. - the pool and the access to the nearby private beach when the pool is a great addition especially if you’re traveling with kids - the comfort of the rooms

The difficulty to find a room to accommodate 2 adults and one kid The rudeness of some of the guests (but we really appreciated how the restaurant staffs handled them, politely and firmly)

Central in Cebu

Strong chemical odours in foyer and near lifts, carried over into dining area. Coffee at breakfast was watery from a dispenser even though a proper machine was just outside dining area.

The Mactan Newtown Beach was a bit rocky, one must wear proper footwear to be able to enjoy the water.

Mactan area is a dead end as far as tourism is concerned. Have to travel for an hour minimum to get to Cebu proper, not to mention any real sight seeing takes at least 4 hrs to get anywhere interesting. The hotel's beach area smelled like a sewer, was crowded and the bar drinks were abysmal. The ceiling in our room was constantly dripping from the ceiling AC and though the staff were trying to maintain it, brown sludge had built up on the ceiling and was staining the floor. The hallway smelled musty, likely due to carpeted floors in a tropical climate. We splurged to stay in this hotel and it was a total disappointment- you're completely removed from the Philippines and segregated into a boring and gentrified tourist town. In hindsight, we should have stayed in a less expensive place where we could at least talk the locals.

La décoration et la literie.

Plusieurs problèmes ont fortement impacté mon séjour et mon expérience globale. Tout d’abord, il y a eu un écart de prix important. Le tarif affiché lors de la réservation était de 97€, avec environ 12€ de taxes et frais clairement indiqués. Cependant, j’ai été facturé 127€ à l’arrivée, sans explication claire concernant ces frais supplémentaires. Les équipements de l’hôtel n’étaient pas conformes aux attentes. La piscine était hors service sans information préalable. L’accès à la plage a également été problématique, car les bracelets nécessaires ne m’ont pas été fournis. De plus, la zone plage/piscine est située à distance, ce qui la rend peu pratique d’accès. Le “surclassement avec vue mer” proposé en compensation est trompeur : la vue donne principalement sur des zones densément construites et non sur une véritable vue mer dégagée. Des problèmes d’entretien sont également à signaler. Une forte odeur d’humidité était présente dans les couloirs. Le sauna ne chauffait pas correctement et les douches du vestiaire étaient en mauvais état. Dans la chambre, plusieurs éléments ont affecté le confort : absence d’eau chaude, pommeau de douche entartré, et climatisation très bruyante et peu efficace. Enfin, le rapport qualité/prix est très mauvais. Durant mon voyage, j’ai séjourné dans des hostels à 15€ la nuit mieux entretenus et plus confortables. Pour un prix presque dix fois supérieur, cet établissement ne répond pas aux attentes.

The staff was superb. superbly patient superbly accommodating superbly intelligent superbly knowledgeable . They always look sharp they were always on the ball they were always responsive not once did somebody try to avoid me even when I knew they were tired

The thermostat in the room didn't work right it just had the AC on full blast but I didn't want to complain and the USB socket in the wall didn't work either that would be in room 8018 . The breakfast food was good I would make one suggestion put out smaller portions to keep it hotter and renew it more often you put out plenty of eggs but they sat out for so long they got cold for example but the food was nice nonetheless

На завтраке скудный выбор блюд, омлеты делают на заказ не каждый день. Рыбы нет, одни сосиски. Также не сильно разнообразное меню на ужин. Возможно это связано с тем, что в отеле происходила смена бренда и он только входил в сеть Mercure.

- property with a lot of potential, nice and big rooms, location in a quickly developing area of Mactan - beach club is really nice - breakfast is good and with a lot of variety...

- although there was often a long line for breakfast in the morning - in general, since the hotel moved to Mercure group only recently, everything seem to be quite unorganized : when we arrived on the first night, we were even assigned a room that was already occupied!

Everything!! The room was beautiful, they provided toiletries as well as robes and slippers. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was absolutely incredible! The buffett was so great with a wide variety of food selection.

The elevator is stink. Our room is outdated and toilet did not flush, we have to fixed it to work. We upgraded to get a bigger room but there was no hot shower, ahh you have to wait hours to get your water hot😔.It is not like in the picture, the beach is far from the hotel it is the most disappointing. And the taxi in the area are scam.

The one thing I liked the most is definitely the staff of the hotel, always welcome you with the smile, help with whatever you need. And also I need to mention the beach, fantastic.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The organised transfer from the hotel was easy, took about 40mins due to heavy traffic. The beach is easy walking distance to the hotel, or you can wait for the hourly shuttle. The walk only took us about 7 mins and was all flat and concrete paths. Once at the beach (not really a swim beach in my opinion) they have an infinity pool with a swim up bar and lots of areas to laze around. The air-conditioning was great, the bathroom small, neat and functional.

The room was a little tighter than I thought, however did not distract from anything. There was sufficient room, just not a lot of space to put two suitcases.

The first room the hotel gave me was next to four elevators, where I heard their bells ringing every five seconds. Despite my complaint to the reception staff that I couldn't sleep, they didn't offer me another room or even call me back that night to address my request. Only the next day, after a terrible night without sleep and my second complaint, did they change my room. Besides, some of the body towels they provided were torn and stained, which were incompatible with the hotel's supposedly high standard. Therefore, for the price I paid for a five-day stay, the cost-benefit ratio was low.

It was a great hotel. Cebu is a strange place, not the hotels fault, it’s just unusual as right outside the hotel complex the area seems very run down

Staff very friendly, and really trying hard to please, and provide good service, sometimes in difficult circumstances. Good buffet style breakfast with lots of choice. Nice pool, gym, and semi-private beach area.

Room quite small. Queues for reception, for lifts, and to get into breakfast. Was told that we weren't allowed to use the stairs to avoid queueing for lifts. There seemed to be too many rooms in the hotel for the size of the breakfast room, and other facilities. Food ordered in restaurant in evening took a long time to arrive and wasn't particularly good when it did, although the service from the waitress was excellent, and the delays seemed to be beyond her control. Maybe problems in the kitchen?

Dio grada u kojem je smješten hotel. Odličan sistem klime.

Jako mala soba sa bračnim krevetom, samo dva ručnika (velika), tuš glava puna kamenca pa šprica u svim smjerovima, nemaju noćne lampice već mora goriti rasvjeta po cijeloj sobi. Neugodan miris na znoj i kanalizaciju iz sifona i u hodnicima.

Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe des Flughafens, je nach Verkehr muss mann trotzdem genügend Zeit einplanen. Schön ist, dass ein Park mit grossem Pool am Meer gratis genutzt werden kann. Allerdings sitzt dort ein Bademeister Polizist, der es völlig mit Kontrolle und verbieten übertreibt. Das Personal im Park (speziell an der Poolbar und dem anderen kleinen 'Restaurant' ist unfreundlich und unintressiert). Der Mini Strand dort ist unbrauchbar. In der Nähe des Hotels hat es einige Restaurants.

Konumu, çalışanları (özellikle valede çalışanlar), yatak kalitesi çok iyiydi. Kahvaltısı diğer Filipin otellerine göre en iyisiydi. Restorant fiyatlarıda fena degildi.

Sıcak su ılıktı, su basıncı düşüktü, havlular eski ve yetersizdi, oda temizliği çok daha iyi olmalı.

Die größten Kritikpunkte: • Zimmer: Keine Schränke/Stauraum, winziges Bad, kein Föhn. Die Klimaanlage ist schwach und die Hellhörigkeit katastrophal (Lärm von der Straße und den Nachbarn). • Restaurant: Atmosphäre wie im Bahnhof. Nur digitale Speisekarte mit lückenhaftem Angebot; dazu durchgesessene Sofas und zu laute Musik. • Service: Zwar ist das Personal freundlich, reagiert aber nicht auf Beschwerden (z. B. Bitte um Ruhe). Positiv: Einzig das Frühstücksbüffet und die grundsätzliche Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter sind hervorzuheben. Keine Empfehlung – für den Preis gibt es deutlich bessere Optionen.

Im Zimmer roch es nach Kanalisation und es gab keine Möglichkeit zu Lüften, weil die Fenster verriegelt sind. Zudem war der Strandbereich geschlossen wegen dem Asia Summit. Die Regendusche war auch sehr verkalkt, sodass sie nicht brauchbar war.

Communication was just awful. After first message nobody responded to my questions via Booking.com during 6 weeks. When trying to contact via email got zero answers during a month. Soundproofing in the rooms is horrible. Could hear what movie was playing in other rooms.

Good location & facilities ,great value overal. Lots of good restaurants around the area. Housekeeping and breakfast teams stands out ,staff were friendly and attentive ,as well as guys at the front doors always super polite and helpfull with info and directions. Room amenities provided was good. Brekfast Supervisor Melky(wasnt sure how to spell correctly) was amazing! She always makes sure to look after the guests and sets good example for the team ,no wonder why breakfast staff are all so great there :) She is a winner!

Good value for money especially for families and big groups Location was excellent; everything was within walking distance: restaurants, Catholic Church, beach. Staff was accommodating, courteous and exemplified Filipino hospitality

Lobby is too small that it easily becomes overcrowded during peak season. If you have guests visiting, there’s nowhere to bring them, except your room. The rest room in the lobby is not maintained well. The faucets are leaky and loose. People coming from the pool area would leave wet tracks in the elevator. That’s an accident hazard. Air condition system in the hallway does not work well. It is always hot outside in the hallway.

Gym was good and our 2nd room good and staff were all excellent

We were given a small room on third floor same floor as the gym. We arrived tired and loud music across the whole third floor. The room was small and also the room smelt damp. I complained and we received a better room which was satisfactory. The indoor swimming pool wasn’t in use for first 3 days and the lifts were out of action a large part of the holiday so always big waiting times

Goed gelegen dicht bij de luchthaven en bij Hiltonpier waar we daags nadien de boot moesten nemen. Relatief rustig en op wandelafstand van het strand om een frisse neus te halen. Het ontbijt voldeed.

Het liftsysyteem laat niet toe dat ge groepsleden op een andere verdieping bezoekt zonder eerst langs de receptie te gaan.

В номере нет НИ ОДНОГО ШКАФА. Вещи всегда в чемодане, при этом номер очень небольшой.

Nice and clean hotel with close by beach. The location is great in a new part of the city. Many restaurants, atm, exchange are close.

Waiting time at the reception is terrible, we were waiting at the line to check in for 45 minutes. Rooms don’t have windows and in the hallway is a wierd smell. At the breakfast you have very few options from the intercontinental breakfast. At the beach you don’t have many sunbeds so it works who comes first.
