Everything! There were so many thoughtful details, primarily geared towards pilgrims, such as laundry soap in convenient pump dispensers. We enjoyed the fun signage and creative displays.

Sehr herzlicher Empfang! Alles ist neu renoviert und komplett auf Pilger Bedürfnisse abgestimmt. Im Bad steht sogar ein Spender mit Waschmittel um die Kleidung nach einer Tagestour zu reinigen .

Amazing hosts. The host greeted us and explained everything carefully. The facilities were very clean. Our room had air conditioning (it has been hot). The included breakfast was wonderful. Good location only a few blocks from the beach and restaurants. Laundry services available. Highly recommend. Would stay again.

Um lugar que faz jus ao nome e que realmente nos faz sorrir! ❤️ O meu marido e eu ficámos apenas uma noite no Smiling Place, mas sentimo-nos tão bem e tão acolhidos desde o primeiro momento! 🥰 A anfitriã é simplesmente uma pessoa maravilhosa – super simpática, carinhosa e atenciosa. Recebeu-nos com tanto carinho e cuidado que quase nos sentimos como se estivéssemos na casa de uma mãe querida. ❤️ Fomos tão bem tratados que foi impossível não nos sentirmos especiais. A casa é linda e está decorada com imenso amor e carinho. Por todo o lado encontramos pequenas frases motivacionais super fofas, que nos arrancam logo um sorriso. E, como se isso já não fosse suficiente, no final ainda recebemos uma pequena pílula de motivação para levar connosco no caminho. 🥹💊✨ Foi simplesmente maravilhoso e tão querido! O espaço é acolhedor, muito bem localizado e transmite uma energia tão positiva, alegre e especial. Nota-se que a anfitriã recebe as pessoas com verdadeiro coração e muita alegria. E digo-vos uma coisa: se estiverem a ter um dia mau, vão passar uma noite no Smiling Place!*😄❤️ Mas mesmo num dia perfeitamente normal, este é um lugar que recomendamos de todo o coração. Everything was more then perfect! Owners were the greatest persons what we met! We felt so welcomed and talked about our the greatest experience even on the next days.

Elizabeth is an amazing hostess. You can tell she really enjoys her guest. She is so welcoming and beaming with pride and love for the Camino. She doesn't just hand you the key, she explains the entire home, the town recommends places for dinner. Elizabeth will ask about your Camino and provide suggestions of the"must see* places and where to take a break The rooms are comfortable and the pool is inviting.

Die Unterkunft liegt sehr nah am Camino in einer schönen Wohngegend. Die Gastgeber sind spitze. Vor unserer Ankunft wurde alles bestens für unseren late night check in vorbereitet, es gab viele hilfreiche Informationen von den sehr netten Gastgebern für unseren Aufenthalt in Labruge und Zimmer und Frühstück waren ebenfalls spitze.

Location was ideal for walking to the coast. Parking on road outside. Good breakfast. The owner was very welcoming.

Elisabete was kind and welcoming and very encouraging. She is a fount of information on the Camino and the local area. It was an uplifting experience to stay. The Guest House has lots of amenities. I did some laundry and Elisabete made sure it was dry and ready for our departure.

Alles was TOP!!!👌🫶 Alles klopt hier! Wij hadden de Camino kamer, ruim, 2 balkons, 1 met uitzicht op het zwembad en 1 aan de straatkant, fijne badkamer en heerlijke bedden. Alles was erg schoon en netjes Het ontbijt was geweldig, zeer uitgebreid en lekkere koffie en cappuccino. Deze Guest house wordt vaak door de wandelaars geboekt, maar wij hadden hier geboekt omdat wij een late vlucht hadden, dus heb je een late of vroege vlucht twijfel dan niet om hier te reserveren en dan niet voor 1 nacht, want de omgeving is prachtig en aan het strand met voldoende goede restaurants in de buurt. Het is 10 tot 15 minuten rijden vanaf de luchthaven. Maar dan Elisabete, wat een lieverd. Haar enthousiasme, haar mooie lach, bij haar ben je echt als gast, ze doet er alles aan om jou een fantastisch verblijf te bezorgen, bij ons is het 100 % ✅️ gelukt ❣️ Dus een absolute aanrader om hier te genieten. The hostess is probably the best we have ever had!! She went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. The facilities are A+ including themed rooms, wonderful private bathrooms, and an amazing breakfast. We didn’t use the pool though it certainly was inviting, The facility is very convenient to the Camino and there are nearby restaurants for dinner.

Everything about Smiling Places was exceptional. We could not have stayed in a nicer guest house in which to start our Camino Pilgrimage. The owner Fernando goes above and beyond to make you feel as if you're at home. Our room was beautiful and spacious. We were told of several restaurants in the area that we may want to visit. We are already considering a journey back to Portugal so we can stay at Smiling Places!

Es war ein rundum perfekter Aufenthalt. Die beste Unterkunft auf meinem Camino. Die Gastgeber sind super herzlich und ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Ich wurde mit allen nötigen Tipps für meinen Aufenthalt und meinen Weg versorgt. Morgens setzt man sich an den gedeckten Frühstückstisch und Fernando lässt wirklich keinen Wunsch unerfüllt. Ich war fast ein bisschen traurig, als ich weiterziehen musste. :)

Fernando and Elizabeth were delightful and went over the top for our comfort. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The on-site laundry was convenient. Breakfast was delicious, and we left with sandwiches.

Fernando ci ha accolti con una disponibilità davvero speciale: check-in anticipato, accesso immediato alla splendida piscina e, al suo arrivo, una fresca limonata e dell’anguria. Abbiamo potuto utilizzare anche lavatrice e asciugatrice e abbiamo riposato benissimo in una camera molto confortevole. Al mattino ci ha preparato una colazione straordinaria, dandoci anche del cibo per il Cammino e tantissimi consigli utili per proseguire lungo la costa. Fernando è una persona meravigliosa, sempre gentile e disponibile. Prima di partire ci ha regalato anche una piccola pillolina che, una volta aperta, conteneva per ciascuno di noi una frase speciale: un pensiero che porteremo con noi. ❤️ Grazie Fernando per aver reso questa tappa ancora più bella. Uno dei soggiorni che ricorderemo con più piacere del nostro Cammino! 👣 Ultreia!

Tot un encert. Hotel petit i molt acollidor. El Fernando i la Elisabete, genials. Vam estar a l'habitació dels ocells. La decoració és molt fina, bona dutxa, tot net, llit còmode. És un hotel ideal per anar amb moto. Et deixen guardar la moto a dins, sense cap cost addicional. També et deixen les tovalloles per anar a la platja o piscina. L'esmorzar molt bó. Repetirem segur.

Faccio questa recensione a fine cammino e posso dire che è stata la struttura migliore durante tutto il percorso, Fernando è stato super accogliente e disponibile, la casa molto bella e la colazione fantastica. La brioche che ci ha fatto provare era veramente buona.

Fernando è una persona super disponibile e premurosa. Ci ha fornito indicazioni per la cena (ottima) e per il cammino. Colazione abbondante e di qualità. Il meglio!

Tolle Lage, da unweit vom Strand, das dortige Restaurant mit Terrasse und Blick auf´s Meer und sehr leckerem Essen (auch vegetarisch!), ausgesprochen nette herzliche Begrüßung, Bewirtung und Verabschiedung; tolles Frühstücksangebot, aus dem man sich sein individuelles Frühstück zusammenstellen kann!

This place was unbelievable! Impeccably neat and clean and comfortable , thought given to the smallest details, lovely toiletries and laundry detergent, perfect for us Camino walkers. It’s well situated in the coastal Camino route. The host was so friendly and accomodating, we were starting our walk early the next morning, he left a fabulous breakfast out for us.

We stayed at Smiling Places for three nights and it was great! Safe, clean, comfortable, every detail was carefully thought out. Hosts were kind and generous, breakfasts were delicious. We also liked the area, climate, beaches, boardwalks. We had a really good time there. Thank you!

Gli host accoglienti, camera pulitissima, colazione ricca con la possibilità di portare via quanto avanzato (quindi frutta, panino per il pranzo). Una spiegazione dettagliata sulle tappe e un abbraccio per augurarci Buon Cammino! Ristorantino vicino pero' nella via parallela (5 minuti a piedi un take away ottima cucina portoghese) trovato facilmente con google!

Die Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber und die vielen Details, an die gedacht wird, sind mehr als außergewöhnlich. Von der Seife für die Kleidung über den Sonnenschirm für den Strand bis hin zur Tüte, damit man sich ein Lunchpaket machen kann.

Diese Unterkunft ist einfach super ! Nach wenigen Minuten denkt man das man bei seinem Lieblingsonkel bzw. bei seiner Lieblingstante zu Besuch ist. Die beiden sind einfach mega nett und kümmern sich einfach super um ihre Gäste. Vielen vielen Dank für diesen tollen Aufenthalt 🥳🥳

El trato de anfitrión fue insuperable, amable, servicial, buscando tu comodidad, nos invitó a cerveza de bienvenida, nos proporcionó toallas para la piscina, nos dio consejos donde cenar, nos sentimos muy acogidos. La habitación fue muy limpia y cómoda, todo parecía nuevo y hecho con buen gusto. En la habitación había una cafetera, tés y cafés y bollitos. En el cuarto de baño hasta detergente para lavarse la ropa. Mejor imposible. Nos ha encantado

Um dos sítios mais incríveis de sempre, por tudo, mas especialmente pelas pessoas maravilhosas que lá encontramos. Elisabete e Fernando, não tenho palavras para agradecer como me fizeram sentir! E os outros hóspedes foram também maravilhosos. De referir que a Suite do “Caminho” é fantástica.

Ubytování bylo naprosto bezkonkurenčně nejlepší na naší cestě do Santiaga :) majitelé jsou neuvěřitelně milí, ochotni pomoct, poradit, dali nám spoustu skvělých tipů na cestu, pomohli s čímkoliv bylo potřeba.. i s tiskem visačky na batoh :) je vidět ze je to opravdu bavi, vše mají propracované. Opravdu velice oceňujeme jejich laskavost. Nádherné ubytování, vše čisté, super bazén, klidný dům. Snídaně byla úžasná. Velice děkujeme za tento krásný pobyt a odpočinek a snad se ještě někdy uvidíme :)

Incluso te dan una bolsa para que te lleves lo que sobra. Creo que es el mejor alojamiento en el que hemos estado. Esta muy por encima de la media en Portugal.

Posizione ideale lungo il cammino della costa. Struttura deliziosa, pulita, con tutti i comfort, ben oltre i suoi prezzi. Gestita da moglie e marito sempre sorridenti e premurosi fino alle coccole. Ottima colazione con il gentilissimo Fernando che ha aggiunto panini e affettati per farci preparare i panini per la tappa odierna. Sarebbe uno dei motivi per ripetere il cammino
