We had a king suite with private bathroom which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The honesty box for beer etc was great. Breakfast was left out for guests to serve themselves and was a reasonable selection. All in all a great stay.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026This was the first guesthouse we stayed at, and we were very happy with it! The instructions for getting into the guesthouse were very clear and everything was easy to figure out. There’s a cosy little common area where you can hang out, and the room itself was good and definitely big enough for two people. It also had a television, while the bathroom was down the hall. I really liked that there was a washing machine and a kitchen available as well, which was very convenient. There is only one shower for the guesthouse, which could have been a bit challenging, but we honestly had no issues with it at all and were always able to shower whenever we wanted. So, no complaints there! The included breakfast was good, and the location was great for us as well, only around 400 metres from the Camino. Everything was also very clean.
I’d rate it an 8/10. My only real downside is that I found it quite expensive for what you get, especially since you’re essentially paying for just a room. Other than that, though, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend it!

Room was truly wonderful and super restful with an excellent bathroom (en suite) and really nice breakfast. VERY glad they had washing machine / dryer as it was raining all day. Not much option for dining nearby but the place we found on the beach was wonderful - super easy access form the Camino Trail.
Very noisy in the morning as people set off walking early. Tiled corridors did not help!

We understand that the free market dictates pricing, and that there are not many options il labruge, even for a modest amount of pilgrims, but this felt like a bit of a ripoff. All extras (washing machine, coffee, water,...) had hefty prices. No washbasin available if one did not want to pay the 10€ (washing + drying) machine fee, just the drying rack. Our room's layout was curious to say the least: one power outlet far away from the beds, two lamps on the other side of the room without anything to plug them into. Little effort to maintain the common bathroom which, while generally clean, had to serve four (!) rooms, and in a few hours had a completely damp towel on the floor, not to mention being flooded with clothes left by other guests who clearly had a poor understanding of the commons as a concept. Further cherries on top: A/C not working, and the loudest doors I have ever heard. The structure itself is not bad, but given the price and the location (an unassuming village on the coast) our money would have been better spent on an Uber to an actual hotel, of which plenty are available all around at even lower prices. A bit more care and effort would have gone a long way.

Von dort sind es circa 500 m zum Strand zum Minimarkt und zu Zwei Restaurants Morgens gibt es ein liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück mit Ei, Obst,kaffees, Saft, Kuchen und Säften, auch Brötchen und Toast alles top, sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und es gibt ein sehr schönes, großes Badezimmer, Handtücher und Pflegeprodukte
Klagen auf hohem Niveau. Das Bett ist etwas schmal für zwei Erwachsene.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026Ideal für Pilger, da ziemlich nahe zum Camino Portugues (Küstenweg). Zimmer sind zweckdienlich. Bad modern und sauber, was nur zutrifft, wenn man es als erstes antrifft (Gemeinschaftsbad: leider war nach mir eine Pilgergruppe im Bad und danach war es nicht mehr wirklich zu betreten).
Unterkunft ist sehr hellhörig und man hört jede Tür auf dem Flur, aber dafür hat man sein eigenes Zimmer.

O hotel é muito bem localizado e ótima opção para quem faz uma parada no Caminho Português da Costa para Santiago de Compostela. Tem máquina de lavar e secadora a preços módicos e itens aquisição, como água, sucos, cerveja etc a preços módicos. O café da manhã é honesto, tendo o que é necessário para um bom dia de passeio ou peregrinação. O responsável (deixo de citar nomes por privacidade) assim como a senhora da manutenção são muito educados e prestativos. Usamos o serviço Paq Mochila do Correio da Espanha e foi eficiente, mesmo não tendo ninguém fisicamente na recepção. Excelente!

Reviewed Jun 29, 2026Das Zimmer war sauber und das Bett bequem. Der Self-Check-in per Türcode war unkompliziert. Die Unterkunft machte insgesamt einen gepflegten Eindruck und war für eine Übernachtung grundsätzlich in Ordnung.
Für 101 € pro Nacht stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis aus meiner Sicht nicht. Die Dusche im Zimmer war verstopft, sodass das Wasser kaum ablief. Außerdem war es nachts sehr laut, da sich direkt neben meinem Zimmer das Gemeinschaftsbad befand und ständig Gäste hinein- und hinausgingen. Ich hatte bewusst ein Einzelzimmer mit eigenem Bad gebucht, um nach einem langen Camino-Tag Ruhe zu haben, habe aber sehr unruhig und wenig geschlafen. Das Frühstück war eher durchschnittlich, die Auswahl begrenzt und der Kaffee hat leider überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Insgesamt hatte ich auf meiner Camino-Reise günstigere Unterkünfte, die deutlich mehr Komfort und eine bessere Qualität geboten haben.

Non ci è piaciuta la doccia, era otturato lo scarico e non di facile gestione per chi non la conosce perché la doccia era con vari tipi di getti all’interno ci voleva il manuale per far uscire l’acqua da un unico posto , schizzava da tutte le parti. Non piacevole soprattutto dopo la stanchezza della tappa sul cammino.

The building is not sound proofed so you cannot sleep with all the noise from all the guests just opening and closing doors, getting water, using the shared washrooms, etc. Sleep is very important after a long day on the Camino trail with another long day ahead. The are no toilet seat covers in the shared washrooms. There are no shades on the windows, so it gets bright in the room when the sun rises. The maids come in at 7 am to make breakfast, and they make a lot of noise. Breakfast is just bread, butter, cheese and processed meat. No eggs, oatmeal, etc. Checkout is at 11.00 am, but the maid entered my room at 8.00 am to clean it and then took my laundry that was drying outside and stuck it in the dryer with another person's clothes without asking me. This guesthouse exists mainly for people walking the Camino trail and all they want is money. They do not care about their guests. There is no complimentary water, everything is you take, you pay, sleep as little as you can and then get out! At 10.30 am the maid turned off the router to make sure we left. This place charges premium rates for a basic room that you cannot get any rest in.

C'est une maison de location partagée avec des chambres louées. Nous avions sur le papier une "suite junior Deluxe" : en réalité une simple chambre d'environ 10 mètres carrés avec une petite salle d'eau basique avec wc. Chambre juste à droite de l'entrée au rdc de la maison, absolument pas insonorisée. Bien sûr, aucun équipement adapté aux pèlerins : rien pour poser les affaires ( 3 cintres qui se battent en duel ), vider votre sac à dos. Dans la salle d'eau, aucun petit meuble pour poser votre trousse de toilette, un support pour serviettes hors d'âge, pas de kleenex, un pauvre rouleau de PQ entamé. Dans la chambre, la seule fenêtre existante en carafe, donc à ne pas ouvrir. Dans la salle d'eau, c'est plein phare s'il vous prend l'idée d'aller aux toilettes la nuit car il y a un détecteur de présence plein phare dans l'alignement de la tête de lit. Quant au lit, c'est une simple lit en 140. Les services sont hors de prix ( lave ligne et sèche linge à 5€ chacun). Pour finir le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet est ultra basique. Tout cela pour 135€ !!

Habitación demasiado pequeña para 3 camas, apenas sin espacio para dejar las mochilas y moverse. Baño compartido (lo sabiamos) con el elevado precio de la habitación triple. La relación calidad-precio, pagamos 128 euros por una habitación triple pequeña, con baño compartido y con desayuno incluido. El día antes, en el centro de Oporto, una habitación triple muy grande con baño privado y don desayuno incluido, pagamos 99 euros. El precio de este alojamiento en Labruge ha sido el más caro de todo el Camino de Santiago Portugués, y no se ha correspondido con lo recibido.

We had an en-suite room with balcony and we were surprised my the size of the bathroom. Great sharing facilities for guests to enjoy (kitchen, laundry facilities, common dining room and sitting area. Very good breakfast. There are a couple of restaurant nearby. We really recommend Ruben’s where we had a lovely, value for money meal and great service.
When other guests are entering or exiting their rooms, the doors could be quite noisy

Unsere Empfehlung Restaurant Rubens tolles Preis Leistungsverhältnis sooo preiswert und gut . Bäckerei mit gutem Galao und den üblichen Teilchen auch sehr angenehm . Minimercado auch in der Nähe- Wasser frische Kirschen.
Das Bad bietet praktisch keine Ablage. Im Zimmer keine Möglichkeit einen Koffer außer auf dem Bett auszupacken. Daher auch schlechtes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Frühstück gegenüber The One Grand Hotel in Povoa de Varzim ( das zudem noch 10€ billiger war ) nicht vergleichbar. Die Unterkunft würde ich nicht noch einmal buchen.
