Reviewed Sep 12, 2026Loved being a short walk into Tobermory - spent time at the Grotto & Flowerpot island- Grandview Motel was great for our evening views of the Sunsets. Dinners at the Crows nest -the brewing company & Coconut Joes- plan on coming back again to explore a little further.

Would have liked a kettle in the room rather than the communal hot water cylinder. However there were plenty of cups and utensils.

We only stayed one night but I think we would stay again for a longer trip and it would make the experience that much better. There was self check-in & check out which made the process very quick for us and was appreciated when we had to rush in the morning to head for our scheduled boat trip!

Reviewed Jun 20, 2026It was exceptionally clean, the room was cozy and the bed was divine. The lights over the vanity/sink were stellar. Also loved the main office kitchenette where we were able to get a coffee.
The bathroom needs a rethink, specifically the shower. It's a one person plastic shower insert (fine), but the shower head is far too high. If you are under 5'7", be prepared to get your hair wet whether you want to or not. Also the shower rod is supposed to be a tension rod I think however it's too short and it seems like they've tried to fix the problem by stuffing material into desk grommets on each end to sort of make it fit. Needless to say, it came down twice mid shower.

The bathroom door was hard to close. It was listed as queen size bed but felt a bit smaller. The bed was soft which isn't our preference, but others may enjoy it & the linens & pillows were nice.

Reviewed Jun 13, 2026Super Lage mit Blick auf den Huronsee, verfügbare Sitzplätze draussen, diese zu geniessen. Sehr freundliches und sehr hilfsbereites Personal. Gute Lage, Tobermory und Umgebung auch zu Fuss oder mit dem Fahrrad zu erkunden.
Für uns gab es absolut nichts, was uns missfallen hätte.

No choice in coffee pods. They only had espresso. A couple of hours later I went back for my phone charging cord but it was not in the office. The cleaner had found it but not taken it to the office. So I could not get it. They apologized but by then I had already left town.

Reviewed Jun 1, 2026We had an excellent stay at Grandview Motel. The location is fantastic — close to everything in Tobermory while still offering beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Check-in was simple, parking was convenient, and the property had great outdoor spaces to sit and enjoy the scenery. The waterfront deck was a highlight and made it easy to relax after a day of exploring. A special thank you to the owner for allowing us to check in an hour early at no extra charge. That small gesture was greatly appreciated and made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was exactly as advertised. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend Grandview Motel to anyone visiting Tobermory.
