Reviewed Jun 21, 2026This was a lovely, quiet place to stay for 10 nights, well kept rooms and as new facilities. We has access to the guest laundry which was very helpful. Rachael and Dave were lovely and looked after us really well. This is certainly the place to stay in Havelock.

Reviewed Apr 11, 2026This was the best place! Especially for me and my wheelchair - even the microwave was within reach. The staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. This created a lovely atmosphere. The rooms were very generous in size, very clean and wonderfully accessible in every way. Everyone made us feel very welcome and we can highly recommend this as a great place to stay. It was quiet, central, easy to get to, and within easy reach of Havelock's local stores. A seriously great place. Thank you Havelock Garden Motel for showing how it can be done.

Reviewed Apr 6, 2026Die Lage des Hotels ist super. Die Einfahrt ist direkt an der Hauptstraße neben dem "Mussel Pot" Restaurant. Die Zimmer sind jedoch weiter hinten sodass man von der Straße nichts hört. Alle Restaurants sind fussläufig zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war sehr groß mit einer Küche und einem sep. Schlafzimmer.

Reviewed Mar 28, 2026Unsere „Deluxe Suite mit Queensize-Bett“ befand sich in einem Reihenbungalow mit – wenn ich es richtig im Kopf habe - zwei anderen Unterkünften. Eine kleine Terrasse mit Sitzgelegenheit befindet sich vor der „Suite“ in gerader Linie mit den anderen Unterkünften. Die ganze Anlage ist grundsätzlich wunderbar angelegt und wunderschön grün. Jedoch lag leider unser Reihenbungalow in „dritter Reihe“, wo leider keine Wiese mehr davor ist, sondern ein Schotterplatz (Autowende- und -parkplatz). Sprich, für uns, die sehr gerne kuschlig-gemütlich draußen sitzen nicht so schön. Die Anlage befindet sich zentral im Ort und gleichwohl hört man die Straße gar nicht; auch mit unseren Nachbarn hatten wir Glück, so dass wir wunderbar geschlafen haben. Die kleine Küche ist mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet. Die Betten waren bequem.
Wie oben beschrieben: Terrasse auf gerade Linie - ohne Sichtschutzelemente - mit den anderen Zimmern und Aussicht auf einen Schotterplatz.

Plutôt calme la nuit , malgré la proximité de la route .Mais les logements sont bien en retrait , dans un espace jardin. À signaler que nous avons très bien mangé au restaurant Slip Inn sur le port .

Reviewed Feb 15, 2026The Havelock Garden Motel is spotless and the gardens are beautiful. The beds are super comfortable. Kirsa, one of the owners, is kind and sweet. We’re travelling as a group of 12 motorcyclists (five couples, two singles, some as pillions, older in years but not in our souls) and we enjoyed our Havelock accommodation, our water taxi jaunt to the mussel farm and dinner at the nearby mussel restaurant (apart from the dour, sour, intimidating Scottish waitress, Jennifer).

Reviewed Jan 28, 2026Beautiful lodges set in a lush gardens. Quiet and secluded but only a few minutes walk to harbour , mussel cafes and the pub. Outdoor seating infront of cabin too. Havelock is a great stop off if you would prefer to stay in smaller towns. Everything you’d need for a stay and a supermarket over the road for essentials. Lovely area too.

The beds were super comfy and had great selection of tea/coffee etc. Was extremely well stocked. The owners were super accomodating and nothing was a problem - felt like they went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. Thank you.

Also a handy central base and close to so many Marlborough Sounds activities. Air con was fantastic on those hotter days. Rooms showed that owners are very thoughtful of what guests may need. A perfect spot if you are travelling with a dog, children, couples or solo.

The township is divine with wonderful shops and friendly locals. Some amazing spots to visit around the area and terrific swimming at Pelorus. I loved it here and would come again.
