Villa Selina

Villa Selina was a real surprise for me. Envelopped into a wonderful green environment, closed to the beach. The owners Putu and Matthew are really amazing and kind hosts and all the staff is really lovely. If you like a quiet place, stunning sunrises to be watched with a nice coffee just from a sunbed at Villa Selina, you are in the perfect place. There are some kind house dogs and cats living in this place, in the morning you are waked up with birds singings. Here you find the authentic and simple balinaise life far away from the rush and the noise and you can also ask for a massage lady or a healer which will directly come here to Villa Selina. Yesterday I had even my nails done by a very kind lady, she did an amazing job. I was here for 3 weeks and I took the time to write a book. It's really an inspiring place. There is a security guard checking every night and its soooooooo wonderful quiet. Thank you for my wonderful stay, I really loved it!

Personeel en eigenaren zeer vriendelijk. We hebben elke dag genoten van het heerlijker eten en het zwembad. Vroeg in de ochtend prachtige zonsopkomsgt en in de avond genietn van de ondergang.

Het lag een beetje afgelegen. Maar zeker de moeite waard.

The gardens were wonderful. It was very easy to relax. On the beach, and had a pool which was lovely. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The place was very well kept and clean. Calm and peaceful part of bali. The locals at the beach were lovely and so friendly.

Matt i Putu są miłymi gospodarzami i dbają o swoich gości. Ośrodek jest z dala od drogi więc w nocy nie słychać skuterów z nawierconymi tłumikami, a za to słychać szum morza, co jest niewątpliwą zaletą. Wszystkie domki są otoczone dużą ilością zieleni, która daje przyjemne zacienienie nawet w upalne dni. Bardzo przydatne jest, że pod zadaszeniem jadalni jest dostępny baniak z pitną wodą. Od strony morza są ustawione zadaszone wiaty z materacami oraz poduszkami, na których można w cieniu odpocząć korzystając z lekkich podmuchów wiatru. Są też leżaki na których można się opalać, ale każdy z nich można przestawić w razie potrzeby w cień który dają drzewa. Gospodarze są bardzo pomocni odnośnie wszelkich pytań co do pobliskich i dalszych atrakcji, lokalnych zwyczajów i kultury a także załatwienie transportu czy wynajmu pojazdu.

Wydaje mi się, że sprzątanie pokoju mogłoby być realizowane nieco częściej - to nie zarzut, ale pole do poprawy. Druga kwestia to oświetlenie w domku - niby światło jest, ale książki wieczorem nie dało się poczytać. Moze to trochę specyficzne oczekiwanie w tych czasach, ale jak dla mnie nad kanapą ciut mocniejsze źródło światła byłoby wskazane.

I loved the lushness of the gardens and mosaic paths creating a flowing relaxed atmosphere. I loved the sound of the ocean. It was loud and beautiful. I loved watching the red dragonfly’s dance when I’d have an evening swim in the pool. I loved the happy dogs that always seemed to be doing the rounds and completely on their own missions. I loved the peace! Wonderful staff and awesome, caring, calm owners. Thank-you Matt and Putu for making me feel so welcomed yet somehow understanding the space I needed/didn’t realise I needed. My stay with you was truly magical. The Les Waterfalls is a must! I felt mentally cleansed after my short stay. I only wish I’d booked here for a longer.

There were bugs but it’s to be expected. I’d take bugs in the Tejakula jungle over persistent (follow you down the street) hagglers Legian any day. I actually became obsessed with all of the exotic interesting bugs and flora.

We loved our stay here. We had a gorgeous comfortable private room with a terrace right next to the ocean with a lovely outdoor bathroom with good hot water all day. The grounds and gardens are beautiful. The hosts Putu and Matt have worked hard to create a wonderful sanctuary for guests in addition to contributing to the local economy, the staff here are their neighbours and friends.The food was fantastic, fresh and delicious! Villa Selina is situated way off the main road in a quiet and friendly green village neighbourhood and is very safe and peaceful. The pool is nice and at high tide we enjoyed swimming and snorkeling in the ocean directly in front of the hotel. Putu and Matt arranged a very friendly and knowledgeable local driver for us to visit Les Waterfall and Bali Pure home industry ( highly recommended village social enterprise) If you love animals you will also enjoy meeting the cute rescue cats and dogs that live here!

Прекрасное место для тихого и спокойного отдыха. Вилла находится на берегу моря, на территории очень много зелени. Есть бассейн и лежаки прямо на берегу. Мы получили огромное удовольствие от отдыха. Большое спасибо Мэтту и его команде! Ваша забота делает отдых незабываемым!

Eine Matratze des Etagenbettes war vollkommen unbrauchbar, die andere gut.

Si l'on veut faire farniente, le lieux est idéal. Il y a quelques visites à faire à proximité. La cuisine est excellente surtout les calamars frais grillés et le mahi mahi. Jardin luxuriant. Les propriétaires et le personnel sont aux petits soins et très serviables.

Besser als ich es mir vorgestellt habe Es war ruhig und gemütlich. Wir waren 18 Tage da und wenn ich wieder nach Bali fahre jederzeit wieder nordbali ist zum relexen das beste. Putu und matt sind sehr hilfsbereit Vermieter.

Das Frühstück kommte etwas anderes ausfallen aber es ist OK

J’ai passé un super séjour chez Matt et Puttu ! Ils ont été au petit soin avec moi durant mes deux nuits chez eux. J’ai adoré profiter de la terrasse face a la mer et observer les vagues ici. Matt décoré les lieux avec des éclats de tout qu’il trouve sur la plage et c’est magnifique de faire avec ce qu’on a :) merci pour ce séjour paisible

Exceptional value for money. Beautiful bungalow right near the beach. There is a list of activities within reasonable distance to the resort. Very romantic setting and relaxing atmosphere. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Staying at Villa Selina was such a blessing for us, being able to hang out with Matt and his family for our brief stay in Bondalem. It was like being invited to a "mate's mates" place. Often being entertained with Matt's stories of his illustrious life, we also found plenty of time to be entertained by their cats and dogs. It was such a beautiful place and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Thanks to Matt, his wonderful wife Putu (amazing cooking and Margaritas by the way!), and daughter Serina (amazing warung recommendation!) for inviting us in and making us feel welcome.

Это супер место ухоженный сад ,прям на берегу моря,на тнретории очннь красиво ,прям перед морем стоят лежаки ,столики со стульями,везде чисто ,еду готовят вкусную,отдельнон внимание заслуживают хозяева и персонал , очень приятно было проводитб время.,на теретории даже был навес ,где нам делали массаж под шум волн моря и запах цветов вокруг.

Villa Selina is an absolute paradise...Peace and serenity, far from the madding crowd. Matt & Putu made us feel like part of the family. All the staff (and pets) are wonderful. Great food and great beer...we will definitely be back.

After struggling to navigate a new country, find shops, get money, get a bike and a beer and have some understanding of what’s going on, it was a relief to come here. I don’t know how the owners do it ! Being constantly available to everyone. The water is a perfect temperature you can do yoga as the sun comes up overlooking the water. The food is good.

More cocktails perhaps - however you can’t please everyone with those

Matt and Putu are very welcoming and all the staff are very kind and friendly. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable. Putu provided oil for the kids mosquito bites which is a very expensive oil. Treated like family. We certainly will be coming back for our next stay in bali at Selena Villa exceptional time, exceptional people and service.

There wasn't much not to like and we had to say one thing that I didn't like was there's quite a few mosquitoes that were biting the children which makes them uncomfortable apart from that is an exceptional place to stay.

11/10! Great staff, location, rooms, amenities. Tremendous value. Perfect break from the touristy areas. My expectations were greatly exceeded.

Villa Selina is full of love and high vibes. You feel like part of the family here! The gardens are divine, and the villas are thoughtfully placed for privacy. Putu and her team are incredible cooks. The breakfast is great value for money and absolutely delicious! The location is quiet, green and so peaceful. We stayed in the big house, which has 4 bedrooms. The accommodation was quiet, super clean, and homely. For our family of six, it was exactly what we were looking for, and we wished we could have stayed longer! The gorgeous animal friends were an added bonus and made our children feel at home. Matt and Putu have built something really special here, and you’ll feel it the moment you drive through the entrance. Thanks for an amazing stay!

The arrogant and very aggressive property owner and his two faced, greedy, Balinese wife, as well as the total owner control and lack of freedom given to the guests. Also room security is terrible, but don’t mention that to the owner or he’ll go into his boxing stance and threaten to knock you out !!

Ein kleines Paradies abseits vom hektischen Tourismus im Süden, kleine Bungalows in einem wunderschönen Garten, liebevoll gestaltet, sehr schönes Pool. Bequeme Daybeds und Liegen. Man hat sich sofort willkommen gefühlt Familiäre Atmosphäre und sehr freundliche Menschen , stets bemüht um das Wohlbefinden , Ausflüge wurde organisiert Wunderbares Essen mit frischen Fisch, Gemüse und Obst rund um die Uhr

Der Strand hat sehr grosse Steine und man kann nur bei Flut morgens richtig schwimmen

Am Besten ist die Lage direkt am Meer, weit weg von Verkehr und Lärm. Gut gefallen hat uns auch das große Grundstück mit einem fantasievoll angelegten Garten, exotischen Pflanzen, darin verteilt freistehend mehrere Bungalows. Ganz vorne, vom Strand durch ein Mäuerchen getrennt, befindet sich ein kleiner Pool, div. Pavillons, Hängematten, Terrassen mit Liegemöbeln, von denen man fast ins Meer spucken kann...toll! Täglich werden sehr gute und für ca. 8€ günstige 1-stündige Massagen angeboten. Das mitten im Park befindliche Restaurant ist gemütlich, nach allen Seiten offen und verfügt über absolut leckeres indonesisches Essen, ein gutes inkludiertes Frühstück und besitzt sogar eine Siebträger Espressomaschine für Capuccino, Latte etc. Hervorheben möchte ich noch den überaus leckeren Cheesecake mit Kokosraspeln und die Fischplatte vom Grill - göttlich. Überall auf dem Grundstück befinden sich Plätze, Pavillons zum Ausruhen, es gibt viele Bücher zum Ausleihen sowie kostenlos verfügbare Schnorchelsachen und SUP`'s. Der Standard ist insgesamt einfach, aber gemütlich mit persönlichem Kontakt zum Inhaber und seiner Familie. Matthew(AUS), seine indonesische Frau Putuh und deren Tochter Selina leiten dieses kleine, nette Hotel, was nicht mit Luxus, aber durch die einmalige Lage besticht. Vorne am Meer beginnt am Strand eine kleine, gepflasterte Promenade bis zum nächsten Strandabschnitt mit Fischerbooten, wo man einen wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang erleben kann. Unser Bungalow für 3 Personen war funktional mit großer Außenterrasse und einem offenen Badezimmer. Gut gefallen hat uns auch noch ein Ausflug per local driver Taxi zum Wasserfall Yeh Mampeh im Ort Les. Tolle Wanderung dahin und spektakuläre Erfrischung unter dem 30-40 m hohen Wasserfall - ein Highlight unserer 2 wöchigen Balireise (unbedingt Badeschuhe mitbringen). Das Hotel bietet noch weitere Touren an und die Kosten waren auch hier sehr erschwinglich. Wir waren 3 Nächte dort und hätten auch länger bleiben...

Unser Zimmer bzw. Bungalow sollte lt. Beschreibung 55 qm groß sein. Leider war es nur ca. 25 qm plus 6 qm Bad, allerdings riesiger Außenterrasse davor. Diese war bestimmt voll in die Fläche mit eingerechnet, was eigentlich nicht in Ordnung ist, wenn man sein Platzangebot versucht mit anderen Angeboten zu vergleichen. Im Zimmer gab es so gut wie keine Ablege - und Aufbewahrungsmöbel, sodaß fast alles auf dem Boden lag. Ein in der hinteren Ecke befindliches offenes Regal als Kleiderschrank ist viel zu wenig für 3 oder 4 Personen, keine Stühle, ein winziger Schreibtisch, mehr passt in diesen recht kleinen Raum auch nicht. Das selbst gezimmerte Etagenbett und deren Matratzen fällt vom Komfort stark ab gegenüber dem Riesen Boxspring? - Doppelbett mit Moskitonetz. Das Bad hätte auch eine Auffrischung gebrauchen können. Alles einfacher Standard und ohne Zimmerreinigung.

Instantly feeling at home in Villa Selina. Very relaxed atmosphere, fantastic food and awesome location just a few meters from the ocean. But, most of all, Matt and his crew are the most perfect hosts one can imagine.

Le personnel était d'une gentillesse extrême (tout le monde!!). Le propriétaire était très accueillant. Le cadre en pleine jungle et à proximité de cascade était sympa. La chambre était propre avec une terrasse sympathique.

Nous avons été déçu que la mer soit très agité et compliqué de se baigner (meme si l'établissement n'y peut strictement rien!) Point d'amelioration : Le petit déjeuner vraiment vraiment trop léger.....(seulement 1 boisson au choix et 1 plat au choix).

Beautiful peaceful, serene spot. Amazing gardens. Matt, Putu, their family and all the staff are amazing hosts. The food in the restaurant is fabulous and made from scratch, some of the best food we’ve tasted in the whole of Bali. Fantastic swimming pool.

The security gates at the entry appear a little uninviting at first glance, but should not dissuade anyone from going in. We felt totally comfortable and secure in the property at all times.

Location, service, food and the gardens!

L’emplacement, la vue sur la mer, la gentillesse du personnel — toujours prêt à répondre à nos questions —, le prêt du matériel de snorkeling, la beauté et la tranquillité des lieux, ainsi que l’excellente nourriture.

Super vriendelijk personeel en eigenaren. De tuin en de gebouwen zijn prachtig en met zorg aangelegd. Mooie mozaïek, je komt ogen te kort, overal is moois te zien. In de tuin kun je op verschillende plekken genieten van het uitzicht en de rust, echt een oase! Er is een fijn zwembad en uitzicht op de zee waar het ook heerlijk zwemmen is. De kamers en badkamers (halve buitendouche) zijn voortreffelijk en comfortabel. De eigenaar helpt je met tips voor bezienswaardigheden. Transfer en vervoer naar bezienswaardigheden wordt prima geregeld. Kortom, een toplocatie!

Wow it’s hard to describe just how much we loved this place! The place is set up so beautifully, right on the water with beautiful tropical gardens and a pooland was the ultimate peaceful place to decompress. The food was absolutely amazing, especially the freshly caught seafood! we already can’t wait to come back! Thanks so much Matt and putu for being so welcoming of the whole family, we miss villa Selina already!

We had a wonderful stay at Selina, Matt arranged a tour to see and swim with dolphins, it was amazing. Villa Selina is a small park with a lovely garden and swimming pool. They’ve got an espresso machine for the best coffee and their cheesecake is the best!

This place is amazing, waterfront, a stunning garden, the room we had were simple but comfy- the owner are really nice and friendly. The food is delicious and fresh. It’s a really nice place for visit the north of Bali. We really love our stay over there and we definitely come back again as we would have love to stay longer!

Die Lage ist einfach traumhaft wer Ruhe sucht ist hier genau richtig, der Besitzer sehr hilfsbereit.

Leider hat andauernd bei den Essenbestellung was nicht gepasst entweder ein Frühstück komplett vergessen, zwei Stück Kuchen statt eins gebracht wirklich sehr schade. Essen war auch sehr fettig.

Die Gastgeber Putu & Matt und der Staff sind super😊freundlich - so entsteht eine familiäre Atmosphäre 🤗

Such an amazing place on the beach with the most amazing people running it. We enjoyed every second. And the restaurant is also great.

Villa Selina is among the top 3 places we have ever stayed in Bali ( we have been to Bali 10 times). The surroundings are beautiful and so well cared for. It is like like walking around the garden of Eden... All the staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again ( and again ) Anders og Lene, Denmark

Ubytování bylo naprosto úžasné. Čistý bungalov s výhledem na moře v udržované tropické zahradě. Každý den úklid, vše čisté a voňavé. Snídaně velmi chutná, oběd a večeře také vynikající za velmi příjemnou cenu. K večeři byl jako překvapení skvělý domácí cheesecake. Majitelé Mat a Putu jsou úžasní lidé, kteří zajistili výlety, masáže, transfer na letiště. Prostě vše na co jsme si vzpomněli. Zde je opravdu skvělé místo na nekončící relaxaci.

Nemohu napsat že se mi něco nelíbilo. V moři je kamenité dno, ale to jsem věděl z recenzí, takže jsem byl připraven.

A beautiful paradise by the sea. Owners are very friendly. There are all kinds of corners, swings and many places to relax. A place where you like to book a few more days like I did. Nice little beach to swim and a swimming pool with no to much chlorine. There is a good scooter rental service and recommended to explore the coast and the waterfall. There are many interesting places in the area.

Pay attention to whether you have a shared bathroom, I had overlooked that and when I saw the bathroom, a shower without a curtain or door I didnt want that room and quickly got another room for a fee. There is no warung within walking distance so if you do not have a scooter or driver you eat in the restaurant. I thought the food was good but little choice if you want low carbs and not just fried food and are staying for several days.

Very laid back place with wonderful surrounds. Matt, Putu and all the staff were fantastic.

It was such a cute hidden place. I wasn’t feeling well and here I was able to recover and take a rest. With the restaurant you don’t even need to leave the property for food. Cozy places to chill all around the property and even surf in front of the door! And everyone was soooo nice there as well. ❤️

A hidden gem on Bali’s north east coast. The owners and staff are so warm and friendly it felt like home. The gardens are exceptional with a few things you may not see elsewhere. A real slice of Bali heaven. I will be back for more of that mango cheese cake that’s for sure😀

En lille ting, men i den villa vi boede i (3 værelser) kunne man savne privatliv. Villaen er meget åbent og luftigt bygget (smuk!) men det betyder, at både medarbejderne og andre resortgæster går igennem ens (udendørs men overdækkede) stue når man mindst venter det. Ofte for at hjælpe en (medarbejdere tænder myggespiral fx) eller for at kigge på bogreolen (andre gæster), og dette vil nok ikke være i alles smag. For os vejede venligheden, den gode mad og de smukke omgivelser op for dette.

Super nettes Personal, sehr schöne und saubere Anlage

C'était très agréable de passer mon séjour à la Villa Selina. Le personnel est très attentif à nos besoins. C'est une charmante famille qui s'occupe très bien de nous.

Es war unglaublich privat! Das Personal war sehr diskret, wenn du aber etwas wolltest war es sofort da und hat dir auch jeden Wunsch erfüllt, seien es neue Handtücher, etwas zu Trinken, oder einen Transport zu einem externen Restaurant. Entweder wurde ein Fahrer organisiert, oder das eigene Personal mit dem privaten Fahrzeug wurde losgeschickt! Man konnte sich auch Schnorchelzeug, Surfboard, oder Sub wegnehmen und das Meer direkt vor der Unterkunft alleine erkunden. Matt und Putu waren in Gänze wundervolle Gastgeber!!! Nochmal ein ganz großes Dankeschön für die wundervolle Zeit bei euch!!!

Zum ersten Mal den Weg zur Unterkunft zu finden war ein bisschen Abenteuerlich, aber einmal angekommen….ein Traum!

Die Unterkunft liegt neben ein paar anderen Unterkünften in einem wunderschönen Garten mit Pool. Es gibt viele Sitz und Liegemöglichkeiten und man hat Blick aufs Meer. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr sehr freundlich. Man konnte Ausflüge und Massagen über die Unterkunft buchen.

Die Unterkunft liegt etwas ab vom Schuss, die nächste Möglichkeit zum einkaufen ist ca. 20-30 min zu Fuß entfernt. In dieser weniger touristischen Region von Bali ist ein Fahrdienst wie Grab nicht verfügbar. Man benötigt einen privaten Fahrer, den man über die Unterkunft buchen kann. Uns hat beides nicht gestört (Man kann in der Unterkunft auch essen bestellen und mit dem privaten Fahrer hat alles geklappt) und wir haben die Ruhe sehr genossen.

De bungalow was echt leuk met de open douche buiten. Wel ommuurd natuurlijk. Een heel rustige plaats om bij te komen van alle geluiden op Bali.

Er waren daardoor ook weinig andere voorzieningen in de buurt.

Sehr schöne kleine Anlage vom Eigentümer geführt. Leckeres Essen.
