Unser Zelt hatte leider kein Schild mit der Nummer mehr, daher war es etwas schwer das richtige Zelt zu finden. Auch die Trails waren schlecht ausgeschildert.

Location is stunning.

Asked for the bins to be taken several times and nobody showed up. I wanted to take them myself but nobody would tell me where. Air con filters need a clean, left with a chest infection.

We loved everything about the property. Definitely recommending this beautiful place.

We weren’t informed prior to arriving that the natural pools were not to be used following the floods and our units indoor fireplace was broken and we couldn’t use it ( glass in front of the closed combustion fireplace was broken previously and not yet replaced )

The location is conveniently close, area is beautiful. Would have liked to explore the walking trails but weather did not permit. The swimming/rock pool area looks like it could be amazing in warmer months.

We where there over a long weekend, so this could be different during quieter times, but it felt more like a resort than a break-away. Kids on bicycles racing up and down to the hotel, music being played by other tents. Not as quiet and relaxing as it should have been. The tents don't seem old, but some workmanship makes them feel so. The unit we stayed at shower floor flooded, skew and not draining properly. The shower door isn't working properly either. This makes the cost of the weekend feel too high for what we got. The wood (which we relied on heavily during the cold, wet days) was wet, and overpriced. Availability was great, but we spent almost R1000 on wood alone for 3 nights. We only fired up the tub once, and decided not to again, as 4 bags of wood cost R300.

The property was really was clean and tidy and had most things needed.

It would have been nice if the hot tub was started before we arrive as it took 5 hours to heat up and fire wood is not provided, you have to purchase it. The wood we purchased from Afrikamps was wet so it took a while to get going.

We had a lovely stay overall, but there were a few things that could be improved. We were expecting the hot tub to be on the veranda, but it wasn't, which was a little disappointing as we book a 2 bedroom Tent with a Hot tub and the pics showed it would be on the stoep area. The biggest challenge was the hot tub. It took at least six bags of wood to heat up, which meant we couldn't enjoy it on our first evening. It would be a great idea if AfriCamps could offer guests the option to have the hot tub preheated before arrival, particularly during the colder months. Including at least two bags of wood in the stay to get the heating started would also be a thoughtful touch and would make it much easier for guests to enjoy the hot tub from their first night. These small improvements would make an already enjoyable stay even better.

It was peaceful, and the space was carefully designed.

A larger fridge would have been better, and having shampoo, shower gel, and extra towels would have been great.

Lovely location and well-equipped tent. Beautiful natural surroundings. The hot tub was a hit.

Hot-water supply was a bit erratic. Wood sold at the office was wet. I would recommend you bring your own dry wood. Be prepared to hear some noise from the highway nearby.

We love the Karoo 1 facilities and the tent is equipped with everything we needed, escpecially when it was extremely cold at night. My family had the best time.

All we maybe needed was oven gloves and maybe a mop on hand for the bathroom gets a bit wet. shower drain gets very clogged so there is lots of water.

The layout of the tent was excellent and everything was neat and in good working order. The fireplace, airconditioner and electric blankets helped to keep us warm even though it was very cold outside.

There is a discrepancy in the ratings between Africamps at Karoo 1 and the hotel next door. They share the same property and the restaurant and It would be nice if both have the same high standards.

Amazing luxury glamping experience. The staff were absolutely exceptional and went the extra mile, they were the best part of the stay.

Africamps sind super. Glamping Erlebnis Pur. Tolle Aussicht. Sterne kann man super sehen. Um die Ecke von Aquila Safari. Sehr sauber Hüpfburg Trampolin und tolles Restaurant und Bar beim Gelände. Pools haben wir nicht gesehen weil es Herbst war.

All very good, if posable can update the feedback we resieved on the wifi, there are wifi at the tents, it wasn't communicated to me when I phone and asked Booking.com central enquiries in Cape Town.

Unikt ställe. Synd att det är en trafikerad väg man hör på kvällen natten. Men verkligen fint ställe och en cool rock pool. Personalen ör bara så trevlig och proffsig.

The tents are comfortable and well equipped. The property has a nice restaurant and chill area. The rock pool area is truly beautiful and probably a great attraction for summer days.

The constant truck noises from the N1, day and night is awful. Maybe the tents that are more in the valley would be better but tents 1 to 4 the noise level is horrible and really takes away that feeling of being in the mountain! Also there is a fair amount of rubbish in the bushes, by the rock pool and generally the property looks neglected. The chapel which has recently been painted look good from a distance but as you get closer the paint mess over the steps gives an impression of a rushed job with no attention to details. We also found balls of black hair on the floor in both tents and the crockery was dusty.

We were here for a wedding which was stunning. My kids were entertained with many things to do. The idea of glamping was really fun and we even saw all types of animals.

I was not able to contact the property before arrival about extending the stay. There was a lot of confusion around this topic. We also had issues with towels and servicing the room. There seems to be a bit of communication issues between staff and reception . Jacky was amazing though and resolved the issues at the end of the day which we were grateful for !

Everything was just amazing, such a beautiful place, fantastic property and staff was very tentative and extra helpful. Really loved all the extra effort and attention for kids! They literally thought that it had been the best place we ever stayed. Absolutely loved move night under the stars with little popcorn and marshmallows, stargazing and yoga morning at saturdays

That we didn’t book longer stay

If you want a cool off the main track Karoo experience this is top draw! Camping and all the noises under the stars ⭐️

WIr hatten eine herausragende Zeit und wären gern länger geblieben. Die Zelte sind sehr groß und geräumig. Der eigene Pool und der Grill machen den Aufenthalt zu einem besodneren Erlebnis. Die Anlage ist schön und gepflegt.

Ein Schloss am Zelt hat gefehlt. Es gab keine Möglichkeit zum verschließen.

The road noise at night was apparent but not the end of the world. Nice breakfast - Farmers Breakfast was a little small but hot & fresh. Rock Swimming Pool was amazing - Fantastic location.

We liked the natural pool . We like the place itself as it’s quiet and relaxing .

We asked for a hot tub on the deck as our daughter is using a wheel chair but we didn’t get any reply . We didn’t know who to contact for that as the people at reception only work for the Karoo 1 hotel and not for africamp. So nobody could help us regarding this matter but they were very friendly. Regarding cleanliness , our bedding looked not fresh as we found blood on it and also the pillow cases were differently white colored . The bed was not well made . The bed heating didn’t work properly - it worked only on one side .

Overall the hotel needs serious maintenance, and the shops are poorly stocked. The road close to the venue is really noisy! Facilities of the hotel not in a good space....

Africamps Karoo est un magnifique lieu où il fait bon se retrouver en famille. Il y a de nombreuses activités pour tous les âges. La ferme est vaste et belle que ce soit en randonnée ou bien en se baignant dans la piscine naturelle. Les tentes sont très confortables et bien équipées avec en bonus le hottub. C'était vraiment un super lieu où se retrouver en famille.

It was nice to try the glamping and easy access to Aquila game reserve which we had traveled to visit.

Very loud and inconsiderate party playing music until early hours. Because you are in a tent the music and noise carry easily and it impossible to sleep both nights. Management should implement a curfew on noise.

Was dichtbij Aquila Safari park. De tent was compleet, maar niet lux. De hottub kregen we niet aan met het hout en de aanmaakblokjes. Vuur was zo weer uit. Jammer. Restaurant duurde heel erg lang, eten was prima.

Rock pool was stunning

Tolle Lage und wunderschöner Landschaft. Das Zelt bietet alles was man braucht und die Betten sind sehr bequem. Auch der Steinpool ist wunderschön und das Essen ist absolut ok. Sehr sehr netter Service.

We stayed in a tent, which was great. The tent was big, clean with comfy beds. The pool at the “kloof” was amazing! Tranquil place with a nice view. Also, the hot tub at night, underneath the stars, no words. Plus, their omelette breakfast was by far the best we had in SA! I would 100% recommend this place.
