The fact that SOME white people still think that we can't afford to stay in such a place....as I was asked questions that was meant for staff members.

Konum olarak Aquila Game Reserve'e yakın. Aquila yerine burda kalmak çok daha ekonomik.

Odalar fena olmamakla birlikte banyo alanı kötü ve eski, ayrıca odadan ayıran kapısı da yok. Keza tesis yakınlarında Aquila Game reserve haricinde gezip görecek, yemek yenilebilecek hiçbir imkan yok, her yönüyle tesise mahkumsunuz.

The coffee shop was great and the restaurant staff were friendly.

No bath mat / bathroom mat for when we get out of the shower; when asked for one we were told we don’t have those. Hot water lasted for one shower only. Shower looks grubby and not maintained. No shower curtain. No lamp shades on bedside lamps Lighting in bathroom terrible. No mirror in bedroom. Could hear neighbours as if they were in our room with us. No electric blankets. Bath towels smelt like cigarette smoke. No small bin for refuse. Unit needs attention overall.

Old-worldly historic Karoo farm village with beautiful old buildings. The farm.atmosphere was very welcoming. Great location close to Aquilla, only 15 min drive. I enjoyed the quiet Karoo, birdsong, and fresh air in a setting that is peaceful and safe. STAFF was very helpful and friendly as well. The restaurant and bar area has an out of Africa experience with good food and country ambiance. Families with children are catered for with outdoor entertaining areas and outdoor movie and a games area. Enjoyed the short stay, and will stay again.

Too short but sweet

Breakfast was not free. Location was ok.

Manger (Miranda?) was rude and tried to dupe us into a much +cheaper room, which was unacceptable (failing curtains, heating not functioning properly, not very clean, etc.). Only after insisting to get our requested (and already checked in!) room, she finally gave us the key.

Un véritable coup de cœur pour ce lieu plein de charme, au cœur d’un cadre naturel magnifique et apaisant. L’atmosphère est authentique et dépaysante, on s’y sent immédiatement bien. Gros plus pour les animaux présents (chiens, chats, paons) qui apportent une touche de vie et de douceur absolument adorable. Le personnel est chaleureux et attentionné, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable.

Beautiful setting in the foothills with a "natural" pond to swim in. Room was good = spacious and comfortable. A little dark. Wished we'd booked a mountain view room in stead of courtyard one = more light. Staff was excellent and our evening meal was really good.

Shrieking from staff at 0700 hrs and very noisy workmen in the room next door using drills and tools. Long waits for breakfast service

A beautifully presented, authentic and interesting village. Rooms were perfect and management were very helpful and accommodating when we realised one of our rooms had been incorrectly booked.

It's a beautiful location and the hotel has potential to be lovely. Great kids entertainment.

Very disappointing experience. Our room was never serviced during our stay, which is not what one expects from a hotel. On Sunday morning staff were working directly outside our room, leaving us with no privacy and forcing us to keep the curtains closed. The bar area was consistently in a filthy state, and it was difficult to find staff to assist at any time. I raised these concerns with management, but five days later I have still not received even a simple acknowledgement.

Rien, c’était parfait et pour faire le safari Aquila, c’est très pratique car juste à côté, et possibilité de transport jusqu’au safari Aquila :)

There are lot of activities that you could do at this place. Quite large area, 2 pools and multiple activities to do.

We stayed in mountain View room. Its not at all noise proof, you can even hear the whispering from neighbouring rooms. One of the couples next door was fighting the whole night and slamming doors. It made our stay miserable.

Beautiful, serene escape. Located ‘in the middle of nowhere’, allowing you to switch off from the world for a bit. Stunning rock pool feature.

Nous avons d'abord reçu une chambre sombre et ne correspondant pas aux photos des chambres du site internet. Lorsque j'ai réclamé, nous avons reçu la chambre que nous avions réservé sur les photos du site., avec une belle grande chambre moderne avec une très belle vue sur les montagnes.

Sehr nettes Hotel, einfach aber gut. Als Übernachtungsmöglichkeit in der Nähe des Safari Reservats Aquila, der perfekte Ausgangspunkt. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis total in Ordnung. Würde beim nächsten Besuch des Safaripark bestimmt dort wieder übernachten.

Alles prima verlopen met zeer vriendelijk personeel en een mooie plaats met goede bar en restaurant.

Het geluid van de pauwen s'morgens vroeg (3.30 uur) was wel wat hinderlijk. Zeker als je moet opstaan om 05.30 uur om naar aquila safaripark te gaan

Amazing staff. Many animals. Perfect with kids. You can even have a nice climb up to a cottage on a hill. One morning on my Mountain Bike I saw a zebra family.

The rock pool was amazing! It was nice staying in nature, and we even saw some cute deer outside our room in the morning. The staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed here because we did a safari drive at Aquila - it’s very close and easy to get to by car.

We had dinner at the brasserie on-site and the food wasn’t very good unfortunately. That’s a shame as it’s the only place to eat without driving to a town.

Die Unterkunft verdient nicht den Namen Deluxe Zimmer !!! ! Die Zimmer benötigen dringend eine Wartung/Service ! Kaputte Türen Verkleidungen des Wasser Boilers, schwarze Fugen in den Bädern , kaputte Vorhänge an Türen und Fenstern. Verstopfte Abflussleitung im Bad am Waschbecken.Die Ausstattung ist minimalistisch und lässt keine Gemütlichkeit aufkommen, für den Aussenbereich gibt es keine Sitzmöglichkeiten . Fazit in die Jahre gekommene Anlage die dringend überholt werden sollte !!!

Restaurant und Frühstücksbereich sind gut und ordentlich geführt … das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend, es gibt auch gute zusätzliche Angebote

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location good for visiting Aquila.

Restaurant service was extremely bad. The Head Chef was not very nice. Waited 2 hours for 4 toasted sandwiches and two people from our party of 7 did not receive their meal at all. The rest if us was finished eating and after 3 hours they still had not received their order. Head Chef kept making excuses re staff shortages which was not our problem at all. Restaurant does jot function properly at all. Because of this bad experienc3 we will not consider going to Katoo 1 Hotal again.

Very little besides its location

Pretty much every thing. I had stayed there a while ago and it was excellent. On driving up to the hotel I started to notice the shabby looking unpainted pole fences. I hoped it would improve as I got closer. The little decorative gate just before reception should be repaired to set the image of attention to detail. Sadly there were several more items in need of TLC. This visit, it’s a completely different place. I was in room 24. New Year’s Eve. Nothing really worked. One basin had no cold water One bathroom light doesn’t work No tea, coffee, complementary soaps or water. The one inadequate bath towel (way too small) was pretty rough. The hand towel no better. Dirty paving up to the room. Dirty door handle and lower door bolt not aligned. The cheapest, most uncomfortable budget toilet seat. The cords to lower and raise the blinds all broken. Zero feed back from management. In general overall I found very poor quality and low standards for the rate. I’d suggest management go and spend an unannounced night in each room to see for themselves. I hope the standards quickly improve to a level of their ratings.

The staff was very receptive to our needs. We loved the natural pool, the bar to drink the "apeeo" before diner and the diner restaurant where the service and the food was fantastic. We didn't get the chance to try the breakfast restaurant, but it eally seamed like a nice little place with good coffee. Children and dogs are welcome. All activities are close by (indoor games room, restaurant, bar, pool, running and hiking trails, etc.). Several paid activities are also available, such as biking, horseback riding, 4x4, etc. The property is located 10 minutes from Aquila Private Game Reserve, for which we had separately booked an early morning game drive.

The bathrooms are open to the bedroom but separated by a wall. There could be more lighting in the bathroom.

Comfortable rooms. Restaurant had very good food at great prices. 10 minute drive to Game reserve.

It needs a little maintenance in the rooms, small things like the taps and the loo paper holder were loose.

The property had everything we needed for a one night stay and the outdoor pool as well as natural pool was easy to access and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the sun the afternoon we arrived.

Loved the bar and we enjoyed our dinner there. Great play area for kids right across from the bar, with a jumping castle for the little ones. Perfect after too many hours in the car.

One of the rooms (21) was a bit dated. Also, would be good to put signs up so it is easier to find the rooms.

It was just a quick overnight after attending a wedding nearby. The room was clean. It is perfect for a quick sleepover.

A TV in the room would be nice and a small fridge.

A curfew is being imposed on people staying there, prohibiting access to the facility after 10:00 p.m., even if you have already checked in. Additionally, there are no refrigerators available in the rooms, which is particularly inconvenient given the warm climate in the region.
