THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
When got here our beds were damp, the room was dirty and the shacks were falling apart. During our stay significant rain occurred and it completely flooded around our shacks making it almost impossible to access the toilet. The power also cut out for multiple days with no compensation or help offered from sweet nature bungalows. When we politely asked if we could get a refund on the days we were missing due to leaving early (as the weather was terrible and so was the accomodation) we were rudely denied. I would not stay here again.
These bungalows are located at the end of the village on top of a hill that provides an excellent view of the sea. It’s a quiet, relaxing atmosphere with comfortable beds and quick access to the village. I highly recommend staying here!
All of it.
Very peacefull bungalows. the acomodation offer a lot of services like morotbike rental, bar, etc. Close to the village but surrounded by nature
Отличное бунгало, добрые хозяева, мне здесь понравилось
Everybody was so kind, so friendly, sea view : the place is AMAZING : the best place in Koh Rong !! It’s not a tente but a true bungalow
NOTHING ALL WAS PERFECT !
Abbiamo riprovato a chiamare, senza risposta.
Really good for money paid.
Bathrooms could be made a little bit better
For what you pay (we stayed in the glamping part), it’s pretty good, although the shared bathrooms could do with some cleaning. Also, reaching the rooms is a very steep climb that can be tough if you’re carrying luggage or you’re walking in the scorching heat. The majority of the staff (everyone but the owner, who was not there during our stay) does not speak English, so it can be a bit tricky to communicate. For the rest, if you’re looking for a perfectly fine cheap stay in Koh Rong, this will do! Ps the balcony and hammock each room comes with is super nice!!
Nice and close to the beach. Cheap and good value for what we got.
The cheapest room was not that nice. Door didn’t close and there were only sheets for walls. Bathrooms were okay. No lighting in the dark for the sinks.
Exactly what I expected! The host was very friendly and helpful and the location is great. My hut was comfortable and a good value. They also let me check in early which was great.
The mattress was pretty old with synthetic sheets that do not stay on so nicer bed sheets would be good. That being said I did not expect more and I only mention this to suggest options if the host wants customer suggestions.
The hostel owner is a very friendly person who speaks English. When I asked for help with some things, he helped me. Thank you for that.
Lack of hand soap in the toilet and bathroom! Hygiene is important for everyone.
Nice staff and good restaurant
Walking uphill to the furthest bungalows
We had our own fan in front of our bed, a hammock and a mosquito net inside
There’s no soap or whatsoever in the bathrooms
İt's in the jungle,, I like it..
Toilet and shower,, it's not good..
Excellent value for money (if you get it for a good price). Very basic but perfectly suited if you fancy à bungalow. Hot water in the shower, high quality towel, mosquito net, hammock…
I stayed in one of the huts, because i like sleeping outside. It´s a bit like camping. Yes, there were some ants, but what do you expect when camping? Toilet and bathroom were very basic but OK. The food in the connected restaurant was also good, the service however was very slow. Prices on the island are quite higher than on the main land.
The service in the connected restaurant. The prices, like 4000 khr for water, 25000 khr for motorcycle gasoline.
Staff were so kind and friendly, breakfast was so delicious!!
Tent too far from bathroom
You get what you order, in our case a humble tent. But for the price and our needs it was perfect, it jad a mosquito net (recommended to use some mosquito spray aswell) and a fan. It wasn’t too hot with the fan. The toilets and shower are clean and spacious. Only cold water. Staff was super friendly and helpful. You can buy ferry tickets and rent scooter from them. We liked the location a lil bit away from the noisiest bars. Note that the walk to tents is a quite steep hill. So not suitable if you are not able to walk it.
Really friendly and attentive staff! We stayed in the tents, they were actually very comfortable and the fan is great (really no AC needed). The bathroom is clean, no hot water but it’s so hot during the day time we didn’t really felt like taking a hot shower anyway. We had some trouble with our ferry between islands due to the sea being rough but the staff were so so sweet and so helpful and he was able to sort us out! One of the most genuine and helpful people we met in Cambodia!
The little huts/tents/bungalows were so nice. Very rustic with a lovely hammock outside. The fan by the bed worked well. The bathrooms were clean. Every night staff lit a mosquito coil outside every room.
The accommodation was a very steep hill. The electricity and internet was patchy but that was the same all over the island.
Cheap bungalow with perfect view on the bay for the sunrise
Everything about our stay here was amazing, great value for money and we had an amazing view. The owner and his family were so helpful in giving us advice about best things to do on the island. The whole family were just so lovely and welcoming. We ate at there all day restaurant most days because the food was incredible and again great value for money. We also rented a motorbike through the owner and it couldn’t have been a better experience. He also offered boat tours which we heard great things about but unfortunately the weather didn’t allow us to do it. I have nothing negative to say about our stay and the kindness of the family and the value for money made it perfect for us as budget backpackers
Basic accommodation but still great value for money
Great location just a short walk from the beachfront. The man on reception (from the UK) is incredibly chilled out and great for recommendations/ a chat. Very good value for money as well.
Obviously in the jungle there will be mossies so be prepared for that. Great value for money but don’t expect luxury!
The owners were not there, but the guy at the reception was very very friendly and helpful. It's also close to the town.
It was below my expectations. I kind of expected a sea view but there was not. Also, the hut smelled very humid/moldy, was small, old and hot. Additionally, the shared bathroom wasn't clean and had many many insects in it. I asked if I could upgrade to a better hut, it was 26 dollars per night extra which I found expensive for the quality. After a night there, I had to move again because the electricity in the bungalow wasn't working
Very comfy bed, hammock, great staff/friendly owner, close location to town, bug net was very effective, good price, locks on the bungalows for security, lights at night so you don’t really need a headlamp (it’s set back in the jungle).
The fan in my room barely worked so it got pretty hot in the bungalow during the day and at night I had to leave the window open for extra air circulation which didn’t help much. The property had no drinking water available, so I had to walk into town to get some which was a real bummer. There was also no soap available at the bathroom sinks so I had to supply my own.
My bungalow was good, great price for very comfortable simple bungalow in the jungle.i stayed there 14 days and really enjoyed my time there. My next trip on Koh Rong i will definitely choose thic accomodation 💚🙏
Location was good also the stuff was very friendly.
A lot of mosquitoes in the room and the worst is in the bathroom. Horrible...and it was sooo dirty also. Its a pity that the stuff don't clean it because they were just sitting all day...
I absolutely love this place and it is always hard to say goodbye. The jungle immersion experience of living in a hut made from the jungle around you tugs at your heartstrings. And the family that runs it are angels for creating such a space. Visit once and you’ll be back.
Nice view with Hammock on the terrace, comfortable bed, nice jungle vibe but don’t be afraid of wildlife for example snakes
Many Mosquitoes in the shower
Perfect location, the tent bungalows were amazing and loved the hammock on the balcony. It is a very quiet area and we are able to sleep great and wasn’t too hot thanks to the fan. Can book tours and onward travel with them and the staff are so so kind and helpful. For the affordable price it’s a brilliant place to stay.
nothing!
Good location , nice owner and good staff . Good value for money . Cute dogs
Bugs (nothing they can do ) , heat and uncomfortable sweaty beds. Basic facilities
Staff were very friendly Loved that the bungalow was amongst all the trees and plants - very jungle feel Comfy beds Bathroom was ok
Its a bit of a walk up to the room.but you get an incredible view
Friendly staff, nice view, beautiful garden Close to amenities
The cleanliness of the bathrooms was subpar and one of the two sinks had no pipe, meaning that water would run on your feet.
Great bungalows very close to the pier Friendly staff at the reception and very friendly owner who did give me a scooter for some days with discount
Some of the bungalows with own bathrooms are maybe a little older. Still good!
The hut looked very nice and it was clean. The staff were very friendly. The bathrooms were kept clean during our stay. We especially enjoyed lying out on the hammock on the balcony of our hut. The location was good. Very close to the pier and restaurants but not close enough to be disturbed during the night. A safe and a fan were provided. The wifi worked well.
Unfortunately, mosquitos were able to enter the hut through the gaps in the walls and floor boards. The mosquito net didn't help much, so we had to cover our bodies fully during the night to prevent getting bites. The hut was very hot at night, so this led to poor sleep.
Kanya and her family are wonderful people and their guesthouse is a peace haven on the hill above the village. The view is beautiful, and they make delicious food.
If you’re a light sleeper the straw bungalows are not ideal as they are literally made of straw. It has its charm though.
Everything was great!
Nice personel, bungalows are very cozy, everywhere is clean 👍🏼.
Fantastic site and place to stay on Koh Rong for a cheap price. Lovely outdoor/camping vibes but an extremely comfortable one!
Staying in the jungle with the sounds of the waves rising up the hill was so incredibly peaceful. Staying in a straw cabana felt like my camping trips when I was a kid growing up on an island. The family was so friendly and made everyone feel at home. A two night stay turned into three weeks and I didn’t want to leave.
I wish they had a kitchen and refrigerator for guest use. The meals served on the island were very big and it would have been awesome to save leftovers or cook up a fresh meal using the local ingredients and seafood.
I loved this place! Excellent value for money!
One of the only affordable accommodations left during our stay. Friendly staff.
Very long way uphill, entrance hard to find. We felt quite hot in the cabins. The ladders were hard to climb, especially to go to the bathroom at night. Water refill was finished while we were there. The place seemed to be way too expensive for the provided quality.
Lovely views. Perfect for enjoying the evening outside in the hammock. Bed was also very comfortable and the property very affordable.
I was too hot a lot of the time so would have benefitted from a stronger fan.
Had to be moved from the tent as the mosquitoes and ants were too much, I was being eaten alive! However the owners moved me for no extra cost into a private room and that was very kind of them. The views were incredible
Nice unique little property run by an extremely friendly local family. Tent was more of a treehouse with a mattress inside with working fan and plug. Hammock on the outside was heavenly.
No lock for the tent (not a major issue as it felt very safe), mosquito nets had holes in and being in a forest meant very likely to get bitten badly. Power also went down for multiple hours at a time
Great, friendly, nice staff, happy to help. Locker, fan, light, plug socket in tent.
Dirty, gross mattress under the cover. Mosquito net had loads of holes in it, so I got bitten dozens of times in one night. It rained and I had a little water coming in through the tarp roof Dirty environment, lots of trash on the walk to the tents and bungalows. You're on the edge of the jungle so you can't really use the hammock without another bug net. You're still pretty close to the beach so you will be kept awake by music late into the night. Loads of noise from other people, dogs, roosters around the tent throughout most of the night and then again early in the morning from four or five.
Beautifully located and great prices.
The staff is so kind, thank you.
Really good value, nice quiet place in the main town. Huts are basic but clean and good value.
There wasn't a safety deposit box although the booking said so. They did find me a box to lock my things in but this wasn't attached to the wall. The staff were understanding and helped but the huts would be way better if they had a lockable box drilled into the wall/hut to keep belongings safe.
Loved the location and that you get a tent for your own which is more like a tree house. The hammock is great for relaxing. The host and his family are very kind and helpful and the food they offer is just ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can recommend the cambodian sandwich.
Much better than expected! We lived in a “tent” in a treehouse. Good bed with insectnett and a pourch with a hammock. Loved it! Toilet and shower was close, and okay! Location is very good! A peacefull place but still close to the city.
Wifi, not the best. On and off.
The people working there were nice and helpful, specially the man who told me some stories and facts about animal life in Cambodia. Place is quite affordable compared to others. It's also quiet at night because it's not right at the beach
The 'tents' are maybe not the best option for people who are squeamish about bugs in general (mosquito nets with holes in them, etc) but honestly that's something to be expected in advance : )
I loved the location, it was close to all the action but far enough away to have peace too. The place is set back a bit and in the jungle. You can see hornbills flying around, flying squirrels and also little flying dragons. The owners are soo lovely and welcoming and you even get a complimentary cat ;)
I didnt like leaving :(
it felt very luxurious compared to the ‘tent’ description. big mattress own fan and hammock with light and charging points could not have asked for me really. staff very helpful and excellent location. extended twice as I liked it so much, would highly recommend.
