very old rooms which need an upgrade, and very loud from the outside. there’s loud construction which isn’t really the guesthouses fault but the windows didn’t close all the way so you can hear everything outside.

My stay at Pablo Guesthouse was absolutely fantastic! It has such a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you feel like you’re staying with friends rather than in a guesthouse. I have to highlight the food the breakfasts are the perfect way to start the day, and their coffee is spot on! But the real star was definitely the BBQ night; it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had, you absolutely have to try it. The team also deserves a special shout-out; they are so much fun to be around and incredibly helpful with everything. If you’re looking for a place that combines great comfort with amazing food and top-tier energy, this is the place to be. Can’t wait to come back!

Smoking inside the restaurant, bathroom needs upgrade, noisy because of the construction outside and no double glazing + small opening in the window. Far from the other beach (35min) where there are more activities and proper beaches to relax

Very nice staff, so already sorry for the bad review but cannot help it and felt really uncomfortable at my room tbh As everyone is saying, it's true: location is a big plus (but the only one I'd say) since it's 2 min to community pier

First of all: in the description it's saying the room has a balcony which is basically not true, it's "only" a general balcony for everyone (also cigarettes were everywhere in the ashtrays at the tables up there and obviosuly the smell, brrr) Room: not clean, hygiene very low, I guess that's also why cockroaches were running around at my bed and also spiders.. Bathroom: shower and toilet in one, so floor is just wet forever (I know it's a thing in Asia but yeah) And literally nothing to hang clothes Last but not least: was wondering why the sheet on my bed had white pieces on it, after a while I realized it's the wall plaster going off from the walls next to the bed

The location was perfect being right at the arrival point to the island. The staff were lovely and super accommodating. There were some super friendly dogs too.

Sand tracks in super easy but that’s inevitable when you’re along a beach. Staff had plenty of brooms that you could borrow

I would say the best was the location just in front of the port and having all restaurants around. The long set beach is just 10 minutes by a motorbike. It is worth renting a motorbike there to go to other beaches, common price was 10 usd/24hrs. The room itself was very basic, but okay for a short stay with lower budget price.

Staff were lovely and location is right next to where the boat trips are. Lots of restaurants around and their breakfast was tasty!

For the value, the room is small and the shower is basically over the toilet. Walls were dirty and room didn’t get cleaned throughout so lots of sand constantly

A great location for a few days in Koh Rong. Low season vibes are amazing. Staff are helpful and they serve affordable good food. I will definitely stay here again.

Upon our arrival at the Family Guesthouse, we were greeted by a staff member who was, rather unprofessionally, consuming a shot of spirits in the reception area. We proceeded to pay the high rate of $53 for a three night stay and were then shown to our room. At first glance, the room appeared basic yet seemingly adequate. However, a closer inspection revealed numerous issues. The ceiling fan was visibly covered in mould, and there were several holes in the ceiling which allowed rainwater to leak through. The bathroom was similarly affected by mould, and the walls throughout the room were marked with unsightly stains. For a rate of nearly $18 per night, the standard of accommodation was well below expectations. Additionally, the room remained persistently humid due to poor ventilation, and the blanket provided was both damp and unpleasantly odorous. The only marginally positive aspect of the room was that the air conditioning functioned albeit minimally. Following one night of this experience, we opted to book accommodation elsewhere. Overall, our stay at the Family Guesthouse was disappointing and left a negative first impression of the island.

Right near the beach lots of restaurants near by and staff was very friendly and attentive.

If you are booking here make sure you know it is a full on restaurant downstairs that Blairs music till late at night. Also ac is right above your head ( which doesn’t sound like a bad thing) till you wake up either freezing cold or it drops little water dribbles on ur head and pillow while ur trying to sleep. Loved the staff though fantastic dude there who I really got along with and was very good at English. Again if your trying to just relax and get some sleep bring earplugs for the booming music

Curtains could use curtain rods. Electrical outlets could use covers. Besides that it was a good deal. And the people there were awesome.

We had a very bad experience with this place. The owner is so disrespectful and not fair. We booked 2 rooms for 3 people. The owner made a mistake and we didn't get one of the rooms. First we came, we got one room. The owner said he will give the other room’s key in evening (knowing there is no room.) In the evening he said the problem, he offered to put a mattress, pillow and towel and charge $4. (!!!!) We had to argue with him to refund us half the money for the room we didn't get. Shame and disrespect. Not to mention the fact that there was no electricity in the room most of the time. We had a very bad experience with this place. The owner is so disrespectful and not fair. A guesthouse located in the heart of the village. The room is simple but comfortable, equipped with both AC and a fan. The owners and staff are incredibly kind and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend this place! 😊

Good location as it is literally in front of the arrival/departure pier. There's a nice terrace facing the beach. The room is big enough for 2 people. You can rent scooters/book a boar trip for a cheaper price

Wifi doesn't work very well (which is not a big drama) No windows in the room For the price you pay, it's a decent place to stay for short term.

The service was really really nice. The balcony was sweet and relaxing as well. Also the short way to the beach was great.

I can just write about the room 1 (room with two beds). It was disappointing that the restroom where the toilet and shower were, had a few molt spots which probably comes from the fact that there is no window in the room. That room needs a few cleanings. Otherwise you have to know that in the street if the accommodation there are a few spots who play loud music in the evening but it’s not the fault of this accommodation ^^ I had some sneak peaks in the other rooms with the double bed which looked better and smelled better ^^

The beachfront location and 2 minutes from pier was perfect. The staff were very friendly and welcoming during our stay and sorted us a bike to get around the island.

I understand the guesthouse is on the beachfront but I felt there was an excess of sand everywhere in the accommodation if more focus on regular sweeping the dinning area and hallways would be ideal. Larger pillows would be better suited for the beds more than the cushions style ones they currently have and bigger bed sheets to cover first in a double bed.

The guesthouse is very well located and the family run are just amazing!!!

The price was like 25 dollars a night and the room is quite old and I had a lot bedbugs bitting me!

The staff were so friendly and welcoming; they were helpful when I got very sick. The food was good and it was right on the beach, where you get off at the pier so there was no hassle of walking with baggage.

There was no blanket/duvet - just a small child’s blanket that myself and my partner had to share. Often, the power would cut out, which meant I had to endure a room with no fan/A.C when I was sick and stuck in the room. Not the fault of the property but be careful on the island as many people get very sick - it wiped me out for 5 days!

The accommodation itself is old. The bathroom is dirty and the mattress seems to have fleas. There was no sunlight at all, and it was difficult with power outages for 6-7 hours a day. Wifi doesn't work well on the 2nd floor. I had to go out into the hallway to use it. Pay a little more and go for a good accommodation. Don't ruin your trip.

The music and hearing all the people was a bit loud but you can't expect otherwise when you stay in the village.
