Mhamid Sahara Camp Activities - Le Chant du Sable

Vom reibungslos organisierten Transfer ins Camp bis zur herzlichen Betreuung vor Ort war alles bestens organisiert. Besonders begeistert haben uns das sehr gute Abendessen und Frühstück sowie der wunderbare Blick auf die Sanddünen. Das gesamte Team war ausgesprochen aufmerksam und gastfreundlich – besonders Salah hat uns mit seiner herzlichen Art jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen und unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas Besonderem gemacht.

Wir hatten Mitte Mai einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Camp. Der Kontakt nach der Buchung über WhatsApp hat gut funktioniert, und wir wurden nach nur kurzer Wartezeit am vereinbarten Treffpunkt für den Transfer ins Camp abgeholt. Der Empfang bei einem Pfefferminztee war herzlich. Das Camp liegt nur wenige Gehminuten von den Dünen entfernt, die im Morgen- und Abendlicht einfach magisch sind. Die Stille ist sehr laut. Die Betten sind bequem und die sanitären Anlagen bieten das, was in der Wüste möglich ist. Wasser ist hier so kostbar wie Gold, weshalb man während des Aufenthalts auch entsprechend damit umgehen sollte. Wir können das Camp uneingeschränkt empfehlen und würden wiederkommen. Danke für die schöne Zeit in der Wüste!

Die Sanitären Anlagen könnten etwas besser funktionieren. War aber für zwei Tage OK.

Nous avons passé 2 nuits au bivouac le chant du sable. Un accueil impeccable, le sens du service, une gentillesse incroyable de Yklef, Salah, Youssef et Hassan, une cuisine excellente et généreuse auront rendu ce séjour inoubliable. La sortie en 4x4 nous a fait réalisé combien les paysages du désert peuvent être variés. Un grand merci et à bientôt pour un trek ( Inshallah)!

L'accueil de Khalifa et de son équipe Sala , Hassan et les autres .ils font le maximum pour vous avec grands sourires , bienveillance et gentillesse. Bien sur aussi la vue sur les dunes . Sanitaires à l'extérieur de la tente mais largement suffisant.Le repas , La soirée , le petit-déjeuner.

Niente wifi nelle aree comuni e niente prodotti da bagno né asciugamani. Ne abbiamo avuto solo uno per tre persone. Niente di grave ma bisognerebbe segnalarlo in modo che le persone sappiano consa aspettarsi.

Nous avons tous aimé l'accueil la nourriture en abondance et qualitative, les dunes face à nous, le calme, la gentillesse de Hassan et ses amis, le feu le soir et les chants avec les instruments de musique. La qualité de la literie et de la tente, nous étions impressionné par son confort sa propreté et sa beauté. Merci beaucoup pour votre accueil nous avons passé une superbe soirée. Just some info for you staying there: for understandable reasons there was no wifi and poor data, and good to bring extra water, also there was a power bank to charge your phone but good to be prepared with your own ☺️

Hassan, und seine Jungs haben uns einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt beschert. Nicht nur, dass wir in einem wunderschönen Camp, top gepflegte Räumlichkeiten und Sanitäre Anlagen vorgefunden haben… Vor allem die Herzlichkeit und das wohl beste Essen während unserem Trip haben uns schwer beeindruckt! Eine glatte 10 von 10 in jeder Hinsicht!

Super pobyt w super lokalizacji! Pustynia piękna i pełna piachu, można surfować. Nocą gwiazdy świecą jak nigdzie na świecie. Bardzo miły gospodarz, chętnie udzieli pomocy i miło z każdym pogawędzi. Bardzo dobrze gotuje. Serdecznie polecam!

Direkt an einer großen Sanddüne. Ein Erlebnis! Pick up und begleitete Fahrt durch die Sahara klappt prima. Personal nett. Am Abend gute Küche und am Lagerfeuer Berber Musik. Super. Sandboarding konnten wir auch ausprobieren. Und leckeres Berberomelette zum Frühstück. Danke!

Ein Zeltcamp in der Sahara hat einfachen Standard, vergleichbar mit einem Campingplatz, nicht zu viel erwarten

Schöne Lage, nettes Personal, super Essen.

Gospodarze byli bardzo mili i gościnni. Śniadanie było pyszne. Nasze dzieci były zachwycone kontaktem z gospodarzami, którzy chętnie odpowiadali na ich pytania i spędzali z nimi czas. Dla chętnych, dostępny był nawet gorący prysznic.

If you are looking for an authentic, peaceful and lovely experience in the desert, this is the place. Great hospitality, amazing food and far from the mass tourism.

Nothing to say expect to warn people that it’s not a 4* hotel. So equipment and hot water are out of question.

Our experience at Chant du Sable was smooth and stress-free from the very beginning. Communication before arrival was excellent: Ayoub, who handled our messages, answered all our questions clearly and promptly, which made us feel confident and well prepared. The meeting point on the day was easy to find, with safe parking available for our rental car. The drive to the camp takes about 40 minutes—neither too short nor too long, and it already feels like part of the adventure. Although it might be possible to reach the camp with a normal car, some sections of the track are quite rough and signage is limited, so I’d recommend using their 4x4 pickup service. The location of the camp is exceptional: sand dunes rise directly in front of the tents, and no other camps are visible nearby. This creates a wonderful sense of immersion in the desert and total quietness. We were warmly welcomed with generous servings of mint tea and cookies upon arrival. In front of the spacious dining and living building, there is a carpeted outdoor “desert salon,” where you can relax comfortably while looking at the dunes. The camp has only a small number of tents, well spaced apart, which ensures privacy and a very peaceful atmosphere. The tents themselves are simple but spacious. There is no heating inside the tents, but plenty of thick blankets were provided, and we slept very well despite the cold night. If you need to charge your devices, the staff are very helpful: when we asked, they kindly charged our phones for us in the kitchen area during dinner. The shared bathroom facilities are in a separate building and were always very clean, thanks to the staff’s constant care. A shower is also available. Before dinner, there are optional activities such as camel rides. We chose a 4x4 drive to a sunset viewpoint, which was an extra cost but very reasonably priced and absolutely worth it. Dinner was a homemade tajine prepared by the staff—very tasty and generous in portion.

Wspaniały pobyt u niesamowitych ludzi. Mieliśmy atrakcje takie jak sandboarding, przejażdżka na wielbłądach, oglądanie milionów gwiazd czy koncert muzyki berberyjskiej. Czuliśmy się tam świetnie, właściciele dbali aby niczego nam nie brakowało. Łóżka bardzo wygodne a jedzenie znakomite. Na końcu żałowaliśmy że musimy odjeżdżać.

Do kempu nás dovezli přímo z vesnice, kam jsme dojeli autem. Dobrosrdečnost berberů a hlavně pana Hasana (kuchař) byla úžasná! Skvělá projížďka na velbloudech a sandsurfing s místními je krásný zážitek. Nejlepší tažín, který jsme zatím ochutnali. Byli jsme i pozváni na rodinný oběd, což bylo neskutečně milé. Večer nám zahráli a zazpívali u ohně!

Bohužel nám celý den pršelo a zateklo nám do stanu. I tak nám ale hned připravili nový stan a vše bylo v pořádku.

Świetny klimat. Rewelacyjna i nie narzucająca się obsługa. Pyszne jedzenie łącznie z harirą. Widok w nocy na gwiazdy jest wart miliona dolarów.

Expérience juste incroyable! Nous avons tout apprécié! Le camp est situé face a de magnifiques dunes de sable. L’accueil a été exceptionnel! Que ce soit la cuisine succulente de Hassan, les chants de Najib et Abdo sous un ciel d’étoiles juste incroyable, nous sommes tombés sous le charme de cette parenthèse enchantée! Les sanitaires sont très très propres et les lits sous la tentes confortable. Le seul regret est de ne pas avoir réservé plus de nuits. Merci encore pour tout.

Camp en face des dunes de sable, Venir avant le coucher du soleil pour l admirer sur les dunes, soirée en table d hôtes avec les autres convives a la lueur des bougies. Très bon diner berbère soupe marocaine, tajine de légumes et dromadaire (pas courant, mais très bon). Fin de soirée autour d un feu de camp et quelques chants berbère. Se lever avant le lever du jour pour admirer celui ci avant le petit déjeuner. Pas de tourisme de masse, pas de folklore exagéré, simple et largement suffit. Excellent rapport qualité prix. Recommandé pour l authenticité.

Comme ç est un camp loin des infrastructures il n y a pas d eau chaude, la toilette est sommaire, mais on ne viét pas pour cela.

Merci à Ikhlaf, Hassan et Younes de nous avoir fait passer 2 jours de rêve mes enfants et moi.. Tout y ôtait… calme, tranquillité, leur gentillesse, leur serviabilité… je recommande à 2000% ! Le petit déjeuner est fabuleux, les repas également ! Le paysage et la vue du camp sont époustouflants.

Very nice location in the middle of the desert. The staff is very friendly and the food provided very good. We had dinner and breakfast at the terrace with a great view. We slept outside in front of tent with view to the stars and Milky Way. Shared bathroom in separate building with toilet and shower very clean and functional. They played in the evening traditional music at open fire pit. We had a half day tour to the desert with Erhfil seeing Gazelle and ostrich. Daughter could sit on top of Land Rover for part of the trip. Enjoyed much. Watching sunset from a top of a dune. Great. Can always recommend to stay at this location with the family.

All was nice. We had the understanding that we park the car at petrol station in Mhmad but it is possible to reach camp by normal car. Not very sure if I could make it on this gravel road.

Ein Platz wie aus dem Bilderbuch. Freundliche Gastgeber wie man es sich nur wünschen kann: ruhig, wissend und angenehm unaufdringlich. Ein Koch mit Herz und Können. Wir hatten auf unserer 2-wöchigen Marokkotour hier die zwei schönsten Tage. Mit kurzer Safari, Dünenboarden und Kameltreck. Dazu Milchstrassensternenhimmel und eine Ruhe die nachhaltig entspannt.

La simplicité et le côté familial. Nos hôtes ont tout entrepris pour nous rendre ce séjour magistral. Très bonne adresse, accessible à tous. Expérience superbe.

Een onvergetelijke ervaring in de Sahara. Niets was teveel om het ons naar de zin te maken. Fijne ontvangst, een ritje met de jeep door de zandduinen om de zonsondergang te bekijken, heerlijk diner (overvloedig en zeer smaakvol) met een zandbord van de duinen glijden, een ritje op de dromedarissen voor de zonsopgang… Als klap op de vuurpijl sliepen we onder de sterrenhemel. Onze bedden werden buiten gezet, dikkere dekens gehaald en we konden gaan slapen. ONVERGETELIJK! Super vriendelijk personeel, echt een aanrader deze plek als je naar de Sahara wil komen.

Rundum ein einzigartiges Erlebnis. Besonders die Nacht unter freiem Himmel war ein Highlight. Das Essen war frisch gekocht und sehr gut, Halbpension absolut zu empfehlen!

Le lieu, l accueil de i Ihklaf, Hassan et l équipe du campement, la qualite des repas (merci Hassan), marcher sur les dunes au lever et coucher du soleil, la ballade en 4x4,

Wir wurden um 17 Uhr (wurde vom Personal so empfohlen - hat zeitlich super mit Sonnenuntergang gepasst) am ausgemachten Punkt abgeholt. Fuhren dann ca. 45 min in das Wüstencamp. Dort hat der sehr zuvorkommende Hassan auf uns gewartet (wir waren die einzigen Gäste) und sich bestens um uns gekümmert. Kurz vor Sonnenuntergang wurden wir dann noch weiter in die Dünen hinaus gefahren. Im Camp zurück gab es leckeres Abendessen mit anschließender Nacht unter Sternenhimmel. Am Morgen früh ging es nach Frühstück und 40 minütige Kameltour wieder zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. Im Camp gibt es sogar Strom, fließendes Wasser und 4G Empfang. Top! Vor dem Aufenthalt waren uns manche Dinge nicht klar, weswegen wir im Vorhinein das Personal kontaktiert haben: - Abholzeit: ihr wollt nicht zu früh und nicht zu spät abgeholt werden. 17 Uhr hat bei uns im August bestens gepasst - Wasser: pro Person und Tag solltet ihr ca. 4,5l Wasser zum Abholpunkt mitbringen - Tücher: zum Sonnenuntergang hat es bei uns noch stark gewindet. Ein Hut ist da nicht mehr ausreichend. Ihr braucht einen Turban oder sehr langen Schal

Unglaublich schöne Unterkunft. Sehr beeindruckende Lage mitten in der Wüste; wir waren komplett allein. Der Anbieter und alle anderen vor Ort haben sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert und uns rundum ausgezeichnet versorgt. Können wir auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Dankeschön 🙏

We spent two wonderful days in the desert right in the middle of summer. We were picked up on time at the roadside and drove to the camp with our own car (not a 4x4). The food was delicious, the camel ride great fun, and the 4-hour trip into the desert with the Defender was an exciting and varied experience. Our hosts took attentive care of us, shared many insights about life on the edge of the desert, and made our stay truly special. In the evening, they set up a sleeping area for us under the open sky.

Fabuleux ! On n’oubliera jamais cette nuit. Après être arrivés sur le camp où il y a tout le confort nécessaire pour une nuit dans le désert, nous sommes partis faire une balade au coucher du soleil dans les dunes à dos de dromadaires … magiques ! Ensuite nous avons dormi à la belle étoile, nos lits avaient été sortis des tentes. L’accueil et la sympathie de nos hôtes étaient au top! La nourriture, dîner plus le petit déjeuner était excellente, le meilleure tajine que nous avions mangé depuis notre arrivée ! Tout était très bon et copieux ! Nous avons même eu un petit concert privé, pour parfaire le tout car nous étions seuls ce soir là. Vraiment, campement à choisir les yeux fermés.

The location is amazing. We could see the desert from our tent and take a 5 minutes walk to get between the dunes. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The staff know how to welcome you. We will keep good memories from the food and the camp fire with music. Our kids (9 and 11) loved it and would love to come back.

Located close to the Erg Lihoudi dunes. Not big dunes, but you can experience the sand colors during sunset and sunrise. The road to the camp is accessible to any type of car. The communication with the host was perfect, and I was waited in the nearby village to be guided to the camp. Comfortably sleeping in the tent. Clean toilet, hot water, shower. Good meals, but the dinner is overpriced. If you need wifi, the hosts provide hotspot access on their phones. Otherwise, note that Internet over Orange is not reliable. The hosts are very attentive and caring, persistently asking if everything is ok.

The People, The music, The surrounding

We chose this accommodation in the desert based on the excellent reviews and ratings, and it truly exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect! Our hosts picked us up, showed us around, and made us feel at home. The dinner and breakfast were outstanding, with so much delicious food. We had a great time sitting under the open sky. The bed was very comfortable for the night. I highly recommend this place—it’s top-notch and truly amazing! Big thanks to Ikhlef and Hassan.

If it were possible to give more than a 10 out of 10, we absolutely would! Hassan and Ikhlef were simply phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, they took fantastic care of us—and trust me, that’s really saying something since we visited the desert in July when it’s extremely hot. The food was top-notch, all thanks to Hassan’s excellent cooking skills. They kept the bedding immaculate and even set up an outdoor bed for us every evening. Sleeping under the stars was a magical experience I'll always remember. The sand dunes are 20 meters from the camp, ideal for a morning walk, some meditation, yoga, or just to sit back and watch camels slowly passing by on the horizon. Access to the camp was straightforward, even in a Kia Picanto. The toilet facilities were spotless, and they were always ready to help with anything we needed.

It was a good experience to sleep on the desert and see the dunes all around.

The camp is perfectly located, easy to get to but with a great view of the sand dunes. I was even picked up from Tagounite by car because I arrived by taxi. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and you feel very comfortable. The tajine was one of the tastiest I had during my stay in Morocco. Highly recommended!

Lovely place located just next to the dunes. Excelent service (that you wouldn't expect in the desert camp) provided by staff who went to every extent to make our stay pleasant. Beautiful views both during the day and at night (black sky with millions of stars ), peace and quiet, spotless bedding, and even a hot shower (despite very basic conditions) . Definitely the best tajine and pancakes in the whole Marocco :) And we have got a bonus : a crazy jeep ride throught the sandstorm on the first day. We stayed for 2 nights, wish could stay longer.

Ikhlaf and Ahmed, let me ask you for something. Stay the same, do not let tourism change you! You are lovely people.

Wonderful place and authentic people. Accessible easily with any car and really isolated for a full experience. Good place to rest, meditate as well.

Met all our expectations. Was greeted at the agreed location point. The location was nice and remote next to an area of lovely sand dunes. Great food. A lovely experience enjoy by us all.

Very friendly people, good service, delicious food, not intrusive in any way, great location next to the dunes and even pick us up for free. Highly recommend it!

The warmest welcome by hussein and his crew of our whole trip to Morocco. Everything was perfect, the contact before our stay, the pickup at the main road, the excellent dinner and breakfast and the very friendly guys at the site. Even if the camp is not at the biggest dunes, it is still a very good opening to explore the desert of Morocco. We wish everybody putting efforts in this camp all the best and hope to find this place next year in the same condition. Even our 3 month baby was taken care of in a perfect way. Unforgettable stay! This camp in Mhamid Sahara is a desert paradise. The hosts Anne and Boubakir are very friendly The proximity to the sand dunes adds pure magic to the experience, it’s just a few steps from the camp. Highly recommended!
