Our host is truly lovely. Freshly baked muffins on arrival. Incredibly comfortable beds. Everything we could need for ourselves and our grandsons.

Greeted with muffins, very warm reception.

TV would not hold its station and had to be reset every 15 minutes.

Did not have breakfast! It was clean but small

We booked for two adults and a child( for the simple reason you do not seem to have two independent women in your booking schedule! It was myself(96) and my Australian niece, and we were introduced to a queen bed! After.a.brief uncomfortable spell a sofa bed was arranged which just about filled the entire available space!Not the best experiences

Owaka lodge motel was on the old side but the bed was comfortable, we had a kitchenette and a good sized bathroom. The room was clean and warm. The proprietor was friendly and gave us a delicious warm apricot muffin on arrival. She also suggested to have dinner at the Lumberjack cafe, which was excellent.

Nice lady who makes nice apricot muffins.

Wat ons het meest beviel was de prijs, Je kan hier goed een nachtje verblijven, maar verwacht geen luxe het is een heel ouderwets en verouderd motel

Het motel ligt op een kruising en er is verder niets te zien of te doen in Owaka.

Friendly hostess, very clean with good cooking facilities that are needed as local eateries/pubs are limited in availability and trading hours. Very tasty home made muffins were a complimentary treat on arrival and were appreciated after a few hours on the road. A very good Tourist info office is across the road and the pub is only 50m away but it seems to only open spasmodically.

The PROPERTY Its very old fashioned with no sound proofing or insulation between units. The host was very nice and brought milk and some home made muffins. You need to have your own supplies - no food available locally after 7pm

Close to where we needed to be. Gaynor was very helpful and sent us cables we had left at motel.

Very friendly welcome including freshly baked muffins, spacious appartment, well equiped kitchen. Great location for exploring Catlins area. There is a gift shop in the village, would definitely recommend visiting, it has hidden treasures.

This was just what we needed for a one night stay. Gaynor was lovely and brought us home made chocolate muffins when we arrived and milk for our morning coffee. Dinner suggestion was right on and we walked to a lovely dinner nearby. She has a nice garden and landscaping and it was all around a lovely place.

Zur Begrüßung haben wir Muffin bekommen und der Ofen im Zimmer war an. Das war sehr nett, da es geregnet hatte und es ungemütlich war.

Die Handtücher waren sehr ruhig und hart. Ein älteres Motel, trotzdem war die Ausstattung gut.

房东奶奶送了极其美味的蛋糕，虽然房间靠路边，但并不影响休息。虽然设施有点老旧，但能看出来在精心维护，可以做饭，热水也很充足。

החדר היה קטן לטעמנו. הייתה גם בעיית חיבור לוויפיי אבל היא נפתרה לאחר כמה נסיונות. סבון ושמפו/מרכך, מאוד קטנים.

Great wee motel. Lovely host. Room heated up when we arrived & fresh muffins on bench. Excellent 1 night stay. Very comfortable.

Muffins were a nice touch, thankyou. We had a nice dinner at the pub across the street

Decor a little bit dated but didn’t bother us. Sound proofing not great but again not enough to bother us.

What a lovely find visiting from UK this was our vision of New Zealand Motels. Room spotlessly clean, host-fantastic. Fresh chocolate muffins on arrival nothing was too much trouble. Room was like walking back in time prefect in every way. Highly recommended a superb location for Walks around the bay and sites around Owaka

Host was friendly and provided a delicious homemade apricot muffin for each of us. Very clean and bed comfortable. Initially I was a little uncertain when arriving as it looked very plain from the outside, but once inside the room, a very decent place. It does provide a Continental breakfast if pre-booked the night before for around $17, but we had brought our own breakfast.

Good old fashioned service and goodness. Perfect location for our base as we explored the Catlins. The muffins get better every time we visit.

Friendly owner and was greeted with some lovely muffins! Very comfortable and had everything we needed. Plenty of hot water and was ensured we were kept warm with an oil heater and the extra fan heater (just in case). Very handy location too. Thanks so much.

Maybe a little dated? The walls were quite thin so we could hear the people in the next room snoring and coughing all night. Maybe the option of if we wanted our room serviced daily? We are happy to use the same towels for the couple of nights we stayed rather than getting fresh ones daily and having someone in our room when we aren't there.

Very central location but quiet. Small complex - 4 suites only. Very easy walking distance to local tavern, cafes and supermarket.

Beds were a little soft and perhaps aged.

It was a nice quaint motel which met our expectation (except the separate beds)

Missed our double bed... there were 2 single beds which were ok...

Great location- close to walks/waterfalls. Friendly staff. Close to pub/cafe.

Bed was uncomfortable but for a two night stay it was passable.

The location was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the pub very close by and the takeaways also close by. Shops also very close by and were interesting. The museum across the road was worth a look. we had all that we needed in the property

Stayed on night. The room was a bit small and tight. It had everything that one would need and my wife described it as quaint . in some ways it was like stepping back into the 60's with mod cons. The owner was a delight and was very helpful and friendly. Her homemade muffins were delicious.
