Great that it has off street parking and garaging! Handy to town, supermarket, eat out, and takeaways. Quiet enough, though the unit I stayed in was close to the main road, so a bit noisy. The manager was nice and easy to deal with and had a smile every time I saw him.

Traffic noise for me was a problem, but other people who are used to living in the city will probably not notice. The rooms are dated and showing their age. Pricing was reflected by that. Okay for an overnight stay.

Very tidy and comfortable room, Staff were very polite and if needed anything were able to accommodate. Loved my stay there. Would stay there again and very decent price. Overall very happy with my stay there.

The shower was not working properly, could not get a medium between hot or cold, it was either hot shower or cold shower even after trying numerous times to balance the two The microwave has rust and mould inside!!

Lounge area cold. Heater not sufficient. No place to put toiletries in the shower. bed was over soft. No bed side tables or lamps by the bed. Needed to be upgraded as ground floor room was not grund floor as there were to many steps for my husband to cope with. Unit appeared to be very tired, Time for it to be restored.

Staff were super friendly. Very eager to help if you needed anything.

Heater could have been larger. But it did the job.

The location

It was freezing. The only heating was a small convection heater. It is really dated and has that old musty smell. The car port where you parked your car was SCARY. Overall not the greatest stay and it wasn’t even that cheap. I ended up leaving a day early because my child was sick but also because I didn’t want to stay in this accommodation any longer.

The hotel unit had a broken sliding door to the bathroom that was completely off its hinges. We were not offered any milk when we arrived so no coffees or cups of tea. It was soooo difficult to drive out on to the busy busy main road ... very old hotel..no effort made to replace the shower stall panels that had dreadful eroded area from about half a meter at the bottom with flaking wood chips that if touched would fall off into the shower base..pretty disgusting...

The shower looks like it needs some renovation, it's showing its age.

Mattress was very old lumpy uncomfortable and badly stained the rest of the bedding was brand new so that was fantastic

Owner had turned the heater on so room was lovely and warm when we arrived. Three single beds gave us options. No complaints

Good location, handy to shops, groceries etc. Handy to town as well.

Property needs a bit of maintenance in some areas, but to be fair, when we brought up the issues we had, they were dealt with very quickly! Advertising a sea view was a bit of a stretch from our room.

We booked late and when we arrived they had upgraded our room for free as there was a bigger/better room available. We really appreciated this as we had just returned from my Dads funeral and literally booked the first available place that came up because we didn't want to travel all the way home and were absolutely exhausted.

This was very low rate and we are not overly fussy but we felt so uncomfortable we left immediately - (we were offered a refund as long as we applied through booking.com but they had changed their mind by the time we did that which was within a couple of hours).

It was very handy to the main road. Very clean, absolutely spotless.

This Motel was priced very well. The decor was was a bit dated. But doesn’t really matter. The coffee table was very dangerous as it was not made out of wood and could have collapsed at any time. Plug didn’t fit bathroom basin.

The room was dirty, the WiFi didn't connect in our room, we had to walk out of the room, up towards reception to get Wifi. The shower was dated and dirty. The carpet was covered in stains.

Need some work; kitchen utensils very cheap and dar to use for cooking. Bathroom shower liking into the plywood walls due to poor workmanship. Car parking is ok, very steep drive on an out, they spread gravel over concrete, not sure why, I’d dangerous on wet and dry due to steepness. Car can skid sideways when coming out of parking spot. The property is been milked for cash, perhaps low occupancy rate outside pick periods

We didn’t end up staying. It felt like it was for emergency housing. We felt grubby. Lost out on one nights accomodation but would rather of slept in the car

Lawns were long. Rubbish everywhere. Somebody had written clean me on the glass.

Run down with a tiny bathroom which was long overdue for a makeover. Kitchen oven in dire need of a good clean. Paint peeling off, dents in walls and furniture etc

The unit should be demolished. It smelt mouldy & damp. there was lots of mould on the shower head. The wood above the entrance door was rotten as was other wood. Maintenance is totally lacking.

Bed was clean and comfy. All the required utencials were there. So it was awesome experience overall. The manager behavior was super nice and cooperative. They allowed me checkin and checkout 1-2 hours more which I really liked most. Thanks Mayank.

The driveway can be less steep and firm. Temporary feet slippers can also be provided if possible.

Could definitely do with sky sports and sky movies also better wifi as some units wifi doesn't work with the tplink wifi extender but if your in a room closer to reception wifi is great, cost me around $89 for mobile data for my children and I with bad cellular signal in the unit (but that's more of a timaru issue then the motel itself)

The guy who meet us was welcoming and friendly. Easy check in. Room was as expected going by reviews. It was fine if you are traveling on a budget. Location is great.

It was on presentation dirty furniture dirty interior need attention you just felt uneasy I was hoping no bed bugs 🙃 one small pillow the shower is shocking and we didnt use it very noisy cars and people driving up and down shingle driveways all nite both sides keeping us awake I think they must have permanent residents as cars and people coming and going not recommended at all we couldn't wait to leave never again The pictures on the website certainly wasnt what we saw

Very clean and tidy. The bedding and towels etc were very clean. Beds were comfortable.

Two of the provided electric heaters were not working. Electric kettle wasn't working properly, kept turning off.

We were up graded to a motel with kitchen but had to pay extra. Ended up staying 2 nights instead of 1 Location is great. Walking distance to caroline bay and town. Bed was comfortable and unit was warm. We had a garage for our car and balcony.

The carpet is worn and had hole in it by sliding door covered by a mat. . The bedroom door is stuffed needs replaced and bathroom had what looked like door on ceiling and door not great either. It was dusty in bathroom. Microwave had rust and looked dirty on outside. Wouldn't recommend it for the price . Budget accomodation.
