Aran Islands Camping & Glamping

Good location.

A bit tired. Some mouldy bits in shower. No sauna.

It was next to the beach which was nice. The staff were friendly but very poor responsiveness. There was heavy rain the night we arrived and the water was shut off for over 3 hours in the morning. As we had a baby and a 5 year old this was quite stressful. We’d been given a number to call for out of hour issues and despite phoning and texting numerous times I received no response for hours, until eventually they’d obviously gotten someone to fix the problem and they replied, but it would have been nice to have been kept in the loop. Also one of the main reasons I chose it was the two saunas on site and a playground. No playground in sight and one sauna was out of service when we arrived and the other was knocked out after the first night. So the whole thing was underwhelming. Even the coffee machine next to their reception wasn’t working.

The pods were uncomfortably warm. The radiator was off the entire time we were there and it was still much to hot.

The pods as expected were very warm but thankfully we brought a small fan. Maybe have fans avaliable or in the pods

We had a wonderful stay at this glamping site! The location was absolutely perfect, and the place was comfortable, beautiful, and had such a lovely atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Nothing. We only stayed for one night and honestly wished we could have stayed longer. Even though the weather wasn’t completely on our side, we still loved every moment of our stay.

The bathroom was dirty, the shower had a rain head shower but only a trickle of water, literally a series of fast drops.

The location is amazing ,waking up every morning to the view of the Atlantic ocean was amazing .we had the sunshine for two days

Had a stormy night not there fault but badly missed a tv when stuck in . A little shop at location would be a great idea as there is only 1 spar on island that closes early.

The sauna was very relaxing, especially after a swim. Very convenient location for those taking the ferry. Very kind staff. Beautiful views and access to the beach. Everything we needed was available (tea bags, milk, etc.) but the shop was conveniently located for anything else. A lovely cat named Mary roams the property (super friendly!!!).

Mattresses were only very slightly uncomfortable, but everything else was spectacular!

Very good location with lovely views from the rooms. Staff were very friendly and there was no noise issues in the evenings. The amenities in the room worked well with no issues.

No wifi available and the rooms get very hot at night. The floor also felt quite sticky/dirty during our stay.

Location is amazing, staff were really helpful and friendly. The pods were really comfy and spacious, with towels and linens provided. Will be back!

More hooks needed in the glamping pods, this would make a big difference in trying to keep the place clean.

Our electricity went out early in the evening in our pod and nothing was done to get it back up working or no option to move to another pod. We had 2 small kids with. No refund provided or even mentioned. Really poor customer service, Will definitely be back to the island but not to this accommodation site.

Wonderful location with the most amazing view straight onto the sea and only a short walk into the village. Pod was comfortable. The sauna was an unexpected surprise.

Water was turned off from 5pm until 9am the following morning during our stay. This was imposed by Irish Water so nothing to do with the property but it did take a little from the experience.

Fantastic location, really friendly and accommodating staff. Pod is well equipped and right beside the beach.

2 pieces of constructive feedback- a little shelf in the bathroom and a retractable washing line on the side of the pod would be really helpful for drying the swimwear from the beach and towels 🙂

The Aran islands are magical and this camping and glamoing was the cherry on top. Great location. Fab people.and all the facilities you could want. Stone throws to ur own paradise beach. Book it now.

What's not to like.

Stunning location. Ideal. Literally across the road from the beach.

Nothing negative. Maybe a little steep in price.

Location near ocean was nice.

No shuttle service to/from ferry or into town. More of an issue with luggage to walk 1/2 mile pulling bags to site.

Cuisine commune dans un état insalubre avec un sol sale, des bancs et tables collants, des poeles sales rangées dans les placards, un evier rempli de couverts, verres sales. De quoi donner envie de vomir quand on se prepare manger. A priori aucun personnel qui realise le rangement et le ménage de base. Pas de remise a zero des lieux. Au niveau de notre petit logement, des megots, des bouts de verre sur la terasse, des miettes au sol. Au moment de rendre les clés, personnel a la réception passif, peu amaible. En somme bien que le lieu soit fabuleux en terme d emplacement, il coute trop cher pour les prestations offertes.

Had a great few days here! Location is fabulous, literally across the road from the beach! & not far from the village. We stayed in pod, they are small/compact, absolutely fine for a few days & if mainly out & about. Bed was comfy, our weather was mixed but the pod was never cold, in fact really cosy. Staff all lovely too, very friendly & helpful.

Nothing to not like!

The staff, the location, the hot shower and the sauna. The staff was welcoming, the location was convenient, the shower was hot and the sauna was a lovely bonus.

The lack of storage space and fridge. The space is well organised but too small really for four people (we were lucky we were only three). There is hardly any space to store your belongings. It would be nice to have more shelves or hooks. There is a wine cooler but a mini fridge would have been more useful to us.

The unit was clean enough although there were quite a few hairs of varying types/lengths in the bathroom.

I was unfortunate to be in the pod closest to reception and the taxi drop off/pickup area. The noise of everyone coming and going to the pub kept me awake until 2.30am by which time I found it hard to sleep at all. I asked to me moved but was told that no alternative was possible for my second nights stay.

Location can’t be beat. Inis Mor is absolutely beautiful. The pods are basically right on the beach, just steps to the sand. The island is great to explore, but truly special after the last ferry heads back to “the mainland”. Staff is really friendly, pods were clean, showers worked well.

Beds were not the most comfortable, but it is glamping, not a luxury hotel.

Location was amazing, the view was stunning! The pods were equipped so well and were super cosy!

This isn't a bad things but just the days we were there it was extremely warm, the pods retain alot of heat and it was hard to cool them down. Again not a bad thing given Ireland wouldn't be known for being hot. Something really tiny was wish the kitchen area was open abit later, we arrived back at 9pm one evening and just wanted to grab some tea bags for the morning as we were leaving early but the kitchen area was closed.

The view from our glamping unit was exceptionally beautiful!! Check in was quick and easy. The unit was clean and sheets, towels and comforters were provided.

No workspace around kitchen area.. not that we were cooking but table wasn't very stable for using for prepping even sandwiches.

That the bedside lamp was without a bulb and when I told reception I was informed they were waiting on lightbulbs. I arranged time in the sauna the morning of my leaving only to find no one turned it on.

We really liked the location, really handy especially if renting bikes. Didn’t realise it when booking that there is a sauna on site which is included with the price, we used this twice and it was very nice, especially after a long day of cycling.

We were very disappointed that the smaller pods had no fridge, it said there was only Booking.com but it didn’t specify it was only in the bigger ones. We also didn’t find the bed very comfortable but it also wasn’t the worst.

Beautiful location but for the price we paid, 150euro for one night, I would have expected the glamping pod to have been clean and comfortable. Cool idea to have glamping pods on Inishmore, but if it were a little bit cheaper, we would have stayed two nights instead.

I stayed with my two sons, I slept on the double bed and my boys were on the camp beds, but there was a lot of dust under the camp beds, and my son is allergic so that was a bit unpleasant. On top of that, the bedding for the campbeds was not available at check in time, it was dropped in later, so we had to come home after a long (but fabulous) day on the island and make the two beds. I wouldn't usually mind except for 150 euro, it was a bit disappointing not to have this service taken care of by staff!

Our experience was great. With just a short walk to the village and great views from our pod.

Nice location

Bunk beds had no gaurd rails on top and very high. Didnt let kids sleep in them in case they fell. Pod way too small, supposed to fit 6 but small table for 2. Not even a toaster in the pod. Way too small for is. Wpuld not go back!! Very expensive also!

Una piccola casetta in riva all'oceano, bellissima la posizione. Comoda la possibilità di lasciare i bagagli mentre si visita l'isola. Ottimo per un soggiorno breve.

Le casette sono piccine, un soggiorno lungo potrebbe essere scomodo.

We liked it all but the units where the double bed is raised-people getting up at night fell because they forgot so it would be good to point that out to guests somehow.

The location was fantastic. The onsite sauna was a lovely treat. The staff were very accommodating letting us leave luggage before check in and after check out so as we could continue to explore. It was great to have washing up liquid, handsoap and body lotion provided.

A few more shelves or hooks in the unit and in particular the bathroom would have helped with towels, hanging helmets etc.

Didn’t have a bigger bed for my husband and myself.( we aren’t small people) need a queen to both fit in one. So we did twins. Comfortable, just haven’t slept in a twin for maybe 30 years.

Sara at the front desk was welcoming and very accommodating. They had a toy library where my granddaughter was able to borrow a soccer ball.
