We had an unforgettable experience at Sunset Camp Merzouga. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel very welcome and took great care of us. Our tent was comfortable and spotless, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was magical. The sunset over the Merzouga dunes was breathtaking, and the evening with music around the fire was such a memorable experience. If you are visiting the Sahara, we definitely recommend staying here. We had an amazing stay at Sunset Camp Merzouga. From the camel trek through the dunes to the traditional Berber music around the campfire, every moment was special. Das Zelt war wirklich sehr sehr schön und das Essen, vor allem das Abendessen, war mega lecker und auch ausreichend. Im Voraus hatten wir angegeben, dass wir vegetarisch sind und das hat wunderbar funktioniert. Der Kamelritt war ein stimmungsvoller Einstieg in das Wüstenerlebnis.

Die Organisation war etwas schwierig. Wir haben zwei Nächte dort verbracht und uns konnte am ersten Abend niemand sagen, wann der Ausflug am nächsten Morgen beginnt. Allgemein die Kommunikation war trotz Übersetzer kaum vorhanden und das Personal war auch nicht wirklich bemüht uns zu helfen . Somit mussten wir leider am Tag sehr viel mit warten verbringen. Auch der Ausflug wurde schlecht kommuniziert. Wir wurden in ein Hotel gebracht zum Mittagessen, jedoch hat niemand vorher Bescheid gegeben, dass wir dort an Pool hätten gehen können, was bei 40 Grad eine schöne Abkühlung gewesen wäre. Der Ausflug war ansonsten schön und wir hatten auch einen tollen Guide, jedoch stimmte für uns hier das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht. Bei der Ankunft haben wir nach der Klimaanlage gefragt, hier wurde uns gesagt, dass diese am nächsten Tag für 50€ freigeschaltet werden kann. Wir hatten 40 Grad.

Een heerlijk verblijf in de woestijn. Je verblijft in een tent, maar het is eigenlijk gewoon een hele ruime en mooie hotelkamer. Het ontbijt en avondeten was super verzorgd. Aangezien je geen andere mogelijkheden hebt in de woestijn om naartoe te gaan eet je sowieso daar en het smaakte echt goed. 's Avonds was er nog entertainment door de medewerkers met muziek bij het kampvuur, zeer gezellig.

The staff at the camp and of the transport to the camp was very kind and helpful. We really enjoyed the ride to and from the camp by camel because the experience in the desert is unique.

Die Übernachtung an sich ist günstig und die Sahara Wüste beeindruckend. Essen gab es mehr als genug (zu viel, sodass es einem leid tut, dass es so viele Reste gibt).

Die Preise für den Transfer zur Unterkunft sind nicht enthalten und nicht bei Buchung bekannt. Man muss es allerdings zahlen, da man anders nicht zur Unterkunft kommt. Das ist völlig intransparent und wird erst nach Buchung offengelegt. Die Preise dafür scheinen sich je nach Übernachtungspreis zu unterscheiden, sind aber in jedem Fall unverhältnismäßig teuer für eine 10 minütige Fahrt ins Camp (bei uns 50 Euro pro Person). Intransparent sind auch die Preise für die Aktivitäten. Wir haben verschiedene Aktivitäten gebucht, die nicht wie gebucht durchgeführt wurden. Zum Beispiel buchten wir einen Kamelritt 90 min bei Sonnenuntergang zum Camp. Bekommen haben wir einen 30 minütigen Kamelritt um 16 Uhr und wurden dann per Fahrzeug zum Camp gebracht. So erging es einigen Gästen. Auch die generelle Organisation wirkt betrügerisch. In unserem Camp hatte jeder Gast ein unterschiedliches Camp mit anderem Namen und Übernachtungspreis bei booking gebucht. Bei anderen Gästen hieß dieses Camp beispielsweise Luxury Camp. Bilder und die Bewertungen können sich also gar nicht auf das Camp beziehen, das man dann bekommt, da dies bei Buchung scheinbar gar nicht klar ist. Ein Beispiel dafür: Laut Bewertungen war Sandboarding inklusive. Unser Camp hatte aber gar keine Sandboards.

Vicinanza con altri camp.

Leider begann unser Aufenthalt mit einem wirklich enttäuschenden Empfang. Die Parkeinweiser waren sehr freundlich, jedoch war der Herr, der uns anschliessend in Empfang nahm (braune Jacke, brauner Turban), alles andere als herzlich. Es ging ausschliesslich ums Bezahlen (Achtung: alles muss bar bezahlt werden), ohne jegliche Gastfreundschaft – was wir so in Marokko bisher überhaupt nicht erlebt haben. Der Transfer ins Camp war hingegen sehr cool und hat Spass gemacht (ca. 20 Minuten Fahrt). Wichtig zu wissen: Der 4x4-Transfer kostet zusätzlich 50 € pro Person (hin und zurück). Kombiniert man 4x4 und Kamel, sind es 70 € pro Person. Im Camp selbst wurden wir freundlich empfangen. Die Zelte sind schön eingerichtet und verfügen über ein eigenes Bad mit Dusche – diese war jedoch leider nur lauwarm. Zudem roch unser Zelt unangenehm nach Abwasser. Es gibt kein Bier, aber Wein (ca. 20 € pro Flasche). Bett ist sehr hart. Die Erlebnisse vor Ort sind dafür wirklich ein Highlight: Die Dünen sind beeindruckend und einzigartig. Buggyfahren (110 € pro Stunde für 2 Personen) und die 4x4-Tour mit Guide (110 € für 3–4 Stunden für 2 Personen) können wir sehr empfehlen – beides hat richtig Spass gemacht. Man sollte wissen, dass mehrere Camps relativ nahe beieinander liegen, man ist also nicht komplett alleine – uns hat das jedoch nicht gestört. Der Service im Camp war insgesamt sehr freundlich und das Abendessen gut. Einziger weiterer Minuspunkt: Es gibt kein funktionierendes WLAN im Camp.

We had a wonderful stay at this camp in the heart of the desert. The location offers a unique atmosphere surrounded by beautiful desert landscapes. The tents are comfortable and nicely designed, each with its own bathroom, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The camp staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and hospitable throughout our stay. In the evening, there was a lovely show by the fire, which created a great atmosphere and made the experience feel even more authentic. Riding camels in the desert was also a highlight and something we will definitely remember. The only small downside was related to food. When, the owner mentioned that gluten-free and lactose-free meals would not be a problem. However, when we arrived, no one seemed to know about this request and there were no prepared alternatives. This was a bit disappointing. On the other hand, the staff handled the situation very well and did their best to improvise, which we really appreciated. If you plan to visit in March, be prepared for cold nights in the desert. Overall, it was a memorable experience and a truly unique place to stay.

Un endroit incroyable dans le désert. Tentes très spacieuses, tout est impeccable, draps et serviettes inclus : un endroit magique ! Excellent tajine, et après le dîner, spectacle de musique et de percussions au coin du feu, le tout au milieu des dunes. On vous emmène à dos de chameau, c'est très authentique. Les activités dans le désert, comme le 4x4, le snowboard et une excursion nomade, sont incroyables. Le lever du soleil est magnifique. Je recommande vivement ! Les guides sont excellents ; nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

Estuvimos en Marruecos una semana, y el mejor recuerdo lo tenemos de este lugar. Contratamos quads y camellos con ellos. Increíble el trato, todo al detalle. Cenamos y desayunamos ahí y fueron las mejores comidas que tuvimos. Hubo espectáculo después de cenar. Las habitaciones tenían todo tipo de comodidades, y las camas eran enormes. Un lugar mágico sin duda.

Our entire experience at Sunset Camp Merzouga was a highlight of our trip to Morocco. It was such an immersive and fun experience from the ATV and 4x4 ride to the camp to the sunrise camel ride to the food and drum circle under the incredible Moroccan night sky. The employees are kind and customer-friendly. The tent was very comfortable too and there are so many little spots to sit and enjoy a relaxing time in the desert.

Its a fantastic experience. We spent a night in a luxury tent. We was camel ride, and the dinner was very tasty.Tents are very clean,the beds are very comfy. Staff friendly ♡ we loved it.

The staff was very nice and always happy to help and to ensure our stay is as comfortable as possible. We booked the camel tour in the afternoon to the camp and it was magical, as the quad tour in the morning. The quides were very friendly and humorous. Zaid even gave us for free more water and scarfs for the sun. The tent was comfortable and absolutely gives off moroccan desert vibes. Due to our stay at the end of May we would not recommend to have more than one night at the Camp. We as middle Europeans are not used to the heat. So we ended up just lying around and not able to do anything 😅 But that was our mistake and again, the staff helped us to make it through the day as best as possible.

Said and his team were exceptional hosts for this magical night in the Sahara. We arrived by camel, enjoyed viewing the sunset and then had a delicious dinner. After dinner we enjoyed Berber music and dancing by the fire. The tents are large and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was also wonderful - we especially enjoyed the egg dish. It was a very memorable experience.

Sunset Camp Merzouga is truly magical. We found the camp even better than as described. It takes a lot to impress us, but this camp did, The staff was friendly, helpful and often went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Breakfast and dinner were tasty and filling. We loved the sandboarding, camel ride and simply walking the beautiful dunes with our bare feet. The pictures we returned home with look like we were only a movie set. The entire experience was surreal. We highly recommend Sunset Camp Merzouga .

I would recommend this camp to everyone. The tents are very nice, they have their own toilet and shower. It was very luxurious. Also, the service was excellent. We were picked up from our hotel in Merzouga and dropped off the next day. You can book several things through the camp, such as a camel excursion in the desert. In the evening we had a delicious dinner and enjoyed traditional Moroccan music by the fire.

We had a magical time!!! We joined the camp by quad, an epic ride in the dunes at sunset. We were welcomed by a caring team. The tents are equipped for optimal comfort and impeccable cleanliness. The typical and tasty dinner and breakfast, the end of the evening around a fire, accompanied by musicians, also contributed to making this moment so special! In the early morning we crossed the dunes on camels to admire the sunrise. In short, an unforgettable experience that I warmly recommend on every occasion since our return!!!

Very nice and quiet camp with big tents and private bathrooms, abundant and tasty dinner and breakfast and a very funny excursion through the dunes by quad and dromedary. The cleanliness and comfort were great and even more so considering that we were in the middle of the desert. If I come back to Merzouga it will be to this camp. Last but not least, very friendly, hospitable and helpful staff. The value for money was unbeatable compared to other options we were considering.

Beautiful desert camp with excellent amenities right on the edge of the desert. The tents had showers and flushing toilets! There was also wifi in the main tent as well as great meals and friendly staff. We were very happy with our stay here .

We had a magical stay at Sunset Camp Merzouga in the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. The camp is run by an excellent, efficient and caring small team with fantastic service at all times and attention to detail, with a genuine eco-friendly approach. Amazing sunsets and sunrises each day, unbelievable sand as far as the eye can see - and the camp fires under the stars with Berber music and songs topped off each evening. Fantastic experience. The staff made us feel very welcome. The camp was very well laid out. Food and dining room first class. The camel ride through the desert to see the sunset amazing. Get up early before sunrise to see the stars.

Absolutely Amazing!!! Everything was outstanding. From the food to the tent to the staff. This is luxury camping. The attention to detail was superb. It was beyond our expectations. We wish we could have stayed longer. This is one experience we will never forget or stop telling people about. Highly Recommended!!!

Brilliant experience in Sunset luxury camp, food is amazing, located in a quite and beautiful place, good for stargazing.

The camel riding was fun. The boy stopped the camels and took us to the nearest dune to see the sunset. The sky was beatiful in the night full of stars. Each tent comes with a small patio to sit outside. Lovely to sit around the woodfire and watch the staff singing and playing drums.

Camp is amazing and people are the nicest people we met in Morocco. We arrived there with camels at the sunset, and they left us all the time we wanted to take photos and enjoy the desert. The dinner was very good and they served a lot of good food. Tents are super nice, clean and big. Bed is very comfy, you have all you need to enjoy your night. The morning after we went seeing the sunrise again with camels, had breakfast and then we went back with the car. I definitely recommend this camp to everyone. please go there and enjoy .
