Merzouga preferred Camp

The evening started with a really nice atmosphere, with good food, music, and plenty of time to enjoy ourselves. But honestly, the part we remember most came later, when everything around us suddenly became so quiet. Our tent was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a good night’s sleep. After the evening entertainment finished, we went outside and sat there for a while. We barely spoke we just looked up at the stars and enjoyed the silence. There was no traffic, no city noise, nothing in the background. Just the desert and the night sky. It’s hard to find that kind of peace anywhere else, and it made the whole experience feel very special.

Après avoir passé toute la journée à découvrir le désert, nous étions assez fatigués et avions simplement envie d’un endroit confortable pour nous reposer. Notre tente était exactement ce qu’il nous fallait. Le lit était vraiment confortable, tout était propre et la salle de bain privative était en excellent état. Nous avons très bien dîné le soir, puis nous sommes restés un moment dehors à écouter la musique et à profiter de l’ambiance tranquille. C’était vraiment agréable de ne rien avoir à faire ni à regarder l’heure. Nous avons très bien dormi et nous nous sommes levés tôt le lendemain pour admirer la douce lumière du matin sur les dunes. Une expérience simple, mais vraiment mémorable.

This ended up being one of our favorite parts of our trip through Morocco. The desert was even more impressive in person, especially in the late afternoon when the dunes changed color as the sun went down. Our tent was much more comfortable than we expected and everything was very clean. Having our own bathroom was also a big plus. We had a really good dinner, enjoyed the music in the evening, and then spent some time outside just taking in the surroundings. What we liked most was that it still felt like we were genuinely in the desert, but without having to give up the comforts we’re used to. It was relaxed, beautiful, and a really nice way to experience this part of Morocco.

Ik had niet verwacht zo lekker te eten in de woestijn! Elke maaltijd was een genot, vers bereid met lokale ingrediënten en vol smaak. De traditionele gerechten waren een hoogtepunt, en de manier waarop alles met zorg werd geserveerd, maakte het extra bijzonder. Eten onder de open hemel maakte het nog mooier.

Our stay was truly memorable, every detail was thoughtfully executed, and we enjoyed each moment. What set this trip apart, however, was the exceptional team their warmth and attentiveness made us feel genuinely valued. The food was excellent, and our room complete with a private bathroom, was both comfortable and beautiful presented.

We were hoping to find a smaller, more personal camp for our very first desert trip, and Luxury Camp Merzouga ended up being exactly what we didn’t even know we needed. A guide recommended it to us, and honestly, we couldn’t have been happier. The people working there are what really set the experience apart. Every single person was kind, relaxed, and genuinely interested in talking with us. They shared stories, history, and little pieces of Moroccan life that made the whole stay feel much more meaningful. The camp itself is gorgeous. Our tent wasn’t just a tent it was huge, spotless, beautifully decorated, and felt completely private. The camel ride was something I’ll never forget. They knew the perfect spot to stop for sunset, and watching the sky fade over the dunes felt surreal. Sunrise was just as incredible. And the food… easily the best meal we had in Morocco. We still talk about it. If you’re looking for an intimate desert experience that feels authentic, peaceful, and unforgettable, I’d recommend this place in a heartbeat.

Perfect Luxury Camp is the amazing escape in the Sahara. The service was outstanding, the tents were stylish and comfortable, and the desert scenery was breathtaking. Every moment, from dinner by the fire to sunrise over the dunes, felt magical.

This camp is the perfect mix of comfort and adventure. The team welcomed us with genuine warmth, the tents felt like a little oasis, and the desert views were absolutely stunning. An experience I’ll never forget.

The camp combines comfort and simplicity in the heart of nature, offering an unforgettable experience under the magical skies of Merzouga.

Nice location and accommodation. You have your own toilet and douche with running water, however, the water was cold.

Without an additional 50 euro transfer per person, there is no way to reach the accommodation (unless you have a 4x4 vehicle that can drive over the Sahara sand). In my opinion, not including the transfer in the total price or obviously stating that a normal car will not suffice, is very misleading. In addition, the evening program (music) was dissapointing.

I sincerely thank Youssef, Said and Ali for this beautiful desert stay experience! Everything was very well organized, they were always available for us, the meal was delicious and the music around camp fire was great! I'll be back as soon as possible!

Our experience was unforgettable, starting with a delightful buffet breakfast that offered both local specialties and our favorite pancakes. The day was filled with adventure as we explored an oasis, visited nomad families, trekked across the black desert, and enjoyed an exhilarating sand dune ride. One of the highlights was a serene camel ride at sunrise, creating a lasting memory. Each evening concluded with a delicious dinner and a fantastic music performance by the fire, adding a perfect touch to our remarkable journey.

I can’t thank the staff enough for their incredible effort in recovering my phone. I misplaced it in the morning just before our departure, but they diligently tracked it down and arranged for it to be sent to Marrakech via a tourist bus. Their commitment and exceptional service truly stood out. I’m deeply grateful to the amazing team for not only enhancing our stay but also going out of their way to assist me. I highly recommend them!

Even during the off-season, we had a fantastic experience thanks to our host’s effort in making our stay enjoyable with campfire drumming and delicious food. Among the many camps available, this one truly stood out. The morning camel ride to watch the sunrise is an absolute must, as is the magical experience of walking into the dunes at night to admire the stars. Off-roading to the camp added an extra element of adventure, and the location near the largest dune provided breathtaking views right from the camp.

Tearing through the sand dunes on quad bikes was an unforgettable adventure! Ending the day with a traditional Moroccan tea at sunset made the experience even more magical.

This place has it all! From the incredible food and cozy tents to the outstanding staff and unbeatable location, everything exceeded our expectations. Unfortunately, we were in a hurry when leaving and didn’t get the chance to properly thank the amazing musicians, drummers, and staff. Be sure to take a moment to show your appreciation—they truly make the experience unforgettable!

We had an incredibly comfortable and cozy stay at this clean, modern camp in Merzouga. The dinner was absolutely delicious, and while breakfast was basic, it was of good quality and well-organized. The staff, including Yussef, Sayeed, Amin, and others, were extremely friendly, caring, and thoughtful, making the experience even more memorable. This camp is very well-organized, and after thoroughly researching numerous camps in Merzouga (I’m very picky about my selections!), I can confidently say no one will be disappointed with this choice. A couple of helpful notes: the staff should inform guests that there is no option for credit card payment, so make sure to have an alternative payment method ready. Additionally, their rates for extra activities like camel rides, bike tours, and jeep tours are very reasonable compared to other camps in the area. Highly recommend this camp for an exceptional desert experience!

Rents do not have heating or portable heaters so it was very cold night in December. However we understand the risk of heaters in the tents. Hot water was great .

There is a big extra expense for transportation to/from the camp. Camel/4x4. Now I understand every camp does this, plus this camp doesn't necessarily charge more. However, it would be better to let the guests know upfront. The shower water wasn't stable, a lot time it was too cold. Though I understand it may not be easy to make it good all the time.

This camp is located in a secluded spot where you can't hear the noise from other camps, making it an ideal place in the Sahara Desert. We tried several activities such as the 4x4 tour, camel ride, and quad biking, and they were all fantastic experiences.

Thank you for an incredible stay! We originally planned to stay 1 night but ended up staying 2, and we’re so glad we did! On the first day, we did the sunset camel ride, and on the second day, we went on the quads—both experiences were fantastic. Our kids, aged 9 and 7, absolutely loved every moment. Tammie also showed us the camel farm, which was really interesting to see.
