Ideally situated for where we wanted to be. Love the face you have a bistro and a garage on site too! All your needs in one place! Great price. Cheap and cheerful, will definitely be back!

On occasions the shower wasn’t very warm but not a deal breaker! Spent 3 comfy nights here!

The staff were all very welcoming and could not have been more helpful. We had everything we needed for an overnight stay and were a reasonably short distance from Burghley horse trials. Lashings of hot water for showers and we appreciated the sofa bed.

Rather showing its age and a paucity of sockets in the room.

Different room to what I booked got a lot less for my money. Feel a bit ripped off. Shower didn't work. They did try to mend it. But couldn't do. Glad I wasn't going to a wedding.

The room was very tired / the bathroom door stuck and you needed big muscles to open it from the inside / the mattress seriously dipped in the middle resulting in a poor night's sleep / breakfast tables were squashed into the foyer and the food was very basic so we didn't bother

Cleanliness, facilities, we booked 2 rooms as there are 5 of us and so one room required an extra bed. This wasn’t made up which was frustrating as we arrived late and had young children ready for bed!

Absolutely nothing. This is the worst hotel and customer service. Didn't even stay the night as it was so basic and awful.

The bed was such bad quality we fell into into it and felt the springs. The TV did not work as it was reset back to factory settings and the Internet was do poor you couldn't even get one TV channel. I asked for a full refund as the room and service was so bad but this was denied. I will be taking this further as we were in and out in five minutes. Only stay here if you are desperate abd have no where else to stay. I gave the manager the opportunity to reply to me and resolve this issue but they chose to ignore me. Terrible Terrible service. Very disappointed.

Advertised as breakfast included, that consisted of only break to toast and jam / marmalade/ butter. No drink or cereal which would be better or even just a selection of pastries and fruit etc

Efficient check in. Good sized family room. Great shower/ water pressure.

Room was large and had all the necessary requirements.

Breakfast was basic, and reception doubled as a restaurant,but not so bad.

Reception staff were great. Booking in was good. Location was good.

The bathroom was not in great condition. Sinks and bath worn with some mould in places. On the second day there was nowhere to eat breakfast so we had to go without.

Bathroom in need of major refurb or deep clean. Cracked sink & tiles. Taps dropped, curtain rail rusted, grouting mouldy. Generally dirty. TV remote didn’t work properly.

The room was clean and tidy. The staff prior to 1500hrs were polite and helpful.

The staff when we arrived were lovely, however the member of staff who started at 1500 hrs was a little abrupt. We were not the only ones to comment on this. Perhaps a course in customer service would not go amiss. The breakfast was very poor, very disappointing.

Mattress in the room is well beyond its life! One side of the bed had very noisy springs. I have never experienced such a poor nights sleep. We stayed in Room 26.

The location close to the main road with the Bistro next door - if it did close at 9pm. The room - and property - was clean and a real 1990s 'Travellodge' style (I became quite nostalgic about it). The staff were helpful, courteous; replaced the fan that should have been in the room when we needed it. Lovely grounds.

The room was hot (it was the hottest day of the year) and noisy due to being so close to the main road and having to have the windows open to the their (small) maximum. The bed was soft and the sink cracked (unsightly, not unsanitary). The room had 3 power sockets; one was used by the TV and the other single in a random position away from the bed head (how to charge a phone while asleep/using it as an alarm? how to use the fan in close to the window?). The breakfast area was overcrowded and we had to stand to eat the first part of our breakfast as we needed to get off.

WiFi poor - I had a room very near reception but it kept cutting out. Cleaning not 100 % - I dropped a small item on the bathroom floor which rolled away. Using the torch on my phone to find it, I encountered a lot of cobwebs and dust around some of the bathroom fittings

We booked this for a quick stopover en route home from a holiday. I wish I didn't! It is a very tired establishment with a peculiar aroma on entering the building. It gave off not very good vibes. If we hadn't already paid I would have left and found somewhere else. We were met with an abrupt lady who charged extra for the pop up bed we had already booked. Tried to discuss but easier to give up. The room wasn't great and it wasn't very clean. We had to clean the bath of hair before we used it. Rust around the taps and bath was another delight. The whole place was summed up by one of my kids saying "This reminds me of the start of a horror film!!!"

Just basic hotel that was good valued hotel with early booking. Breakfast was also basic, such as toasts, jam, butter, cereal, orange juice, apple juice and tea/coffee facility near the entrance. If u want full breakfast, there is a nice cafe next door.

There was a spider came out from the linen There were no sockets by the bed to charge phone, no bed lights at all.

Bed was comfortable, shower was fine and it was the exact location I was looking for. The price was also fair for what you get plus a light breakfast is included (cereal/ croissants). If you want a bigger breakfast the cafe next to the hotel did a really nice coffee and cooked breakfast that was a reasonable price

Room was dated, the shower was over the bath and i was near the lobby breakfast area so i could hear people very early in the morning which did wake me up.

It would have been nice to have a couple of chairs. Not so good to be in the middle of nowhere. We would normally have taken a stroll in the evening but that was impossible.

The room was accessible & cool, which was a bonus in the hot weather.

Very outdated. Only two single plug sockets. No USB. A lumpy bed, no aircon.Toilet door would not stay closed and the lock didnt work. The toilet started leaking at 2200 hours, there is no on site staff to carry out repairs and we were just given a bundle of towels to put on the floor.

Leak in the loo so I had to put a towel down. Loo needed bleach. Also hot tap in the basin dripped unless very tightly shut off, probably beyond an elderly guest!

The staff were amazing and very dog friendly. Rooms were comfortable and i got a great sleep. Breakfast was cereals and toast (cornflakes were definitely not Kelloggs and tasted like cardboard flakes). You can take breakfast back to your room if you want to. Standard facilities in the room ie. Tv, kettle, tea/coffee, and a fan. No air-con. There is a cafe next door but unfortunately was closed for a refurb when i visited the hotel. Situated next door is also a garage which does microwave meals if you want convenience, the hotel reception has a microwave for use. If you prefer something more substantial there is a chippy and a chinese in the local town ( i think it was called Uppenham). Exit right when you leave the hotel, follow the road to the roundabout, turn left and then left again at the set of lights. Chippy and chinese next door to each other on the left.

Excellent staff. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was clean, comfortable and convenient and the staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. There was a kettle and tea things in the room.

The bathroom was tired and there was no toilet brush. The breakfast wasn’t up to much.

Dirty, rude staff, not dog friendly. Camper vans parked outside. Derelict pub next door. Very odd vibe .

I didn't have breakfast becausr l had to leave very early in the morning. The lafy on reception was very nice and help me to find a place locally for dinner. The room was clean and tidy but a bit dated. No viee from thevwindow. I didn't expect the building to be so ciose to a main road. The outside of the builfing was scruffy and had rubbish.

It was a good price and location for my journey onwards the next day.

Very welcoming and caring staff. A nice room with all the essentials. Including a fan in yhe hot weather. Very convenient for my four night stay. I didn't take breakfast, but a simple cereals, toast, juice and hot drinks breakfast is available. There is a microwave for general use. It felt safe and secure.

Access to a fridge would be helpful. The room got very hot in hot weather, with no aircon. The fan helped. No socket by the bed.

Convenient location, pleasant staff, fan provided in room, quiet if you have a room at the back considering it is on an A road.

Windows in our room needed cleaning outside, breakfast literally as advertised - cereals and bread for toasting - served in the hallway of the hotel. Unfortunately there was a Dog show locally so the place was rather fuller of dogs than I imagine is normal - for some this may be a plus, but not for us. Bed uncomfortable (most of the springs in the mattress had gone). Based on this experience would probably avoid a Redwings property in future.

all was good, I had asked for a quiet room and was given one down the bottom of the corridor away from the road side of the building all was very quiet. Very relaxed atmosphere all around

I needed a disabled parking space and there were only 2, one being occupied by a non disabled person (no badge displayed)

Parking spaces were very limited when busy, bed had stained under sheet, other peoples hair in bed and in bathroom, thick dust on high surfaces, shower curtain had stains, toilet seat flaking underside, carpet had dust and dead insects. No plugs near the bed.

There was a dog show nearby and quite a few were in the building overnight. Consequently we didn't have a good night's sleep.

It's quietness, had such a good sleep, had a nice light breakfast but I would have preferred some fruit as well
