The rooms are spacious and clean, well equipped and very comfortable.

The food is slightly disappointing in the canopy restaurant and breakfast could do with a little more variety.

Staff were nice and helpful and very welcoming. Food in the Canopy Restaurant was outstanding.

We found it a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

Everything was great. Amazing room, we stayed with our dog and he loved it. The garden outside our room was very convenient. The hotel is really lovely and we'd definitely recommend staying here.

Very clean and peaceful

Classic comfortable rooms,excellent food throughout, it delivered when so many similar hotels dissapoint. All the staff are exceptional, attentive and friendly , super efficient, again in contrast to so many similar resort hotels, its the best of Ireland in one place.

Too shorter a stay

The staff was so friendly; the rooms were clean and nice. Walking around the hotel was fun because there is interesting art displayed everywhere. There is an old castle on the property which also makes it interesting. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent. There is a breakfast buffet as well as hot, made to order items on the menu. We had drinks at the Knights Bar and the Brasserie Bar. Both were great. We had dinner at the Canopy which was also excellent. We were able to easily walk to town and eat at a restaurant owned by the property called the Hunted Hog, which is a traditional Irish Pub. Some of the people in our group golfed and loved the experience. The grounds are beautiful. I would definitely go back and stay here in the future. There is a large parking lot and no charge to park your car.

There was nothing that we didn't like. My only suggestion would be areas where you can get more casual type food for the afternoon, something quick and easy. It would be great if there were more restaurants in town because the walk from the hotel is very easy. In town, we only ate at the restaurant owned by the resort, the Hunted Hog.

Shower water temperature could not be made more hot. Seemed lukewarm at best.

The room was very spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was enormous. The food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Minor decor faults in the room. Service was a little slow.

The gardens, the walks, the facilities like tennis courts, etc.

Some of the staff need to be trained up. This is a five star hotel, but you wouldn’t think it by some of the staff. They need to be friendlier and engage in chat with customers when customers initiate it (Knights bar). Also, you do not want to be made feel like you are a burden to the staff by simply being there ( Kirby’s bar)! Apart from those two areas the staff were very nice and professional. It feels like it is missing something, it didn’t quit feel like a 5 star experience.

Rooms were awesome, staff fantastic, facilities spotless.

Kitchen closed at 8:30 so we had to go an order (the same menu) to our room. That seemed pointless.

We arrived to be greeted by a lovely receptionist who explained the fabulous resort. The room was fabulous overlooking the tennis courts. The beds were so comfortable. We were celebrating a birthday and an anniversary and we were greeted by two lovely treats to celebrate. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The pool, sauna, and spa were fabulous. We had food in the bar which was very tasty. We would definitely go back.

The staff are excellent, particularly the staff in the canopy restaurant. Nothing was a problem and they are very well trained. The food was also excellent. The room is also fantastic.

I wasn’t crazy about the pool. For a 5 star hotel it would be nice to have a vitality pool or something a bit different, it was a bit hectic with kids. The changing rooms are very strange… I had to get changed standing up because there are only a few benches and they were all busy.

The grounds were gorgeous, truly felt so relaxed. Loved all the art work.

The only thing I would suggest you change is the coffee. It was not good quality coffee and nit strong. It did not match the place. I also wish the more casual places served a bit later, maybe till at least 8 PM.

I would have liked more extras in the room- milk, snacks, bath salts etc. Maybe the furniture in the rooms are now slightly dated?

Le domaine est magnifique, promenades agréables, qualité du petit déjeuner et restaurant au top ! Des petites attentions personnalisées, fort appréciable. Mention spécial + + pour Ryan qui a été à la hauteur d’un établissement tel que celui-ci. Nos filles ont adoré cet hôtel 😁. Un grand merci pour ces 3 nuits exceptionnelles !!

I was disappointed by the comfort of the beds given the price of the stay. I would have expected a higher quality mattress/bedding.

It was lovely. The gardens, walking paths, hiking trails weee gorgeous. The ruins were so beautiful. The service was impeccable.

Its a beautiful resort. Staff were lovely. The house we stayed in was fab. Very clean.

No aircon. It was very uncomfortable for us. They did supply us with fans but not too good in the hot weather we had. Only improvements would be more lighting in the bathroom over the mirror also comfortable seating outdoors and in this weather definitly aircon and a parasol.

Superb room, great breakfast with excellent service, outstanding dinner in the Canopy restaurant. The staff are friendly and attentive but not obtrusive.

Our only issue was with EV charging. One of the four chargers didn’t work and the others were hogged by cars for twenty plus hours. There was no tracking of who owned the cars. We had to drive into town after dinner to find a charger.

Spectacular grounds and landscaping! Many old trees giving a cooling effect. Very good breakfasts. Loved the honeycomb. Had dinner one night, good but a bit pricey for two courses. Lunch in the bar was delicious and better value. I was here for a wedding and it all went so well and beautifully done….so much food at the dinner! A beautiful clean property and very nice staff.

Terrible reading lamps beside the bed in room 20, giving off hardly any light at all. I was unable to read in bed unless I used my flashlight that I had with me! Please improve! Bed was a little soft and I heard all my other friends ,also staying,saying that their pillows were not great. Mine were just ok, but probably need replacing. An easy fix. Huge accessible shower is very unsafe. Grab bars around the taps end, but none at all at the other end of nine feet of marble tile to walk over to get out and onto a dry bath mat. We all were discussing this and discovered that all of us laid a trail of towels along the wet tile and out into the bathrooms to be able to walk out safely in our respective rooms! I’m sure the staff wonder why all the towels provided are used every day for just one person…..that’s why! Something that could easily be fixed by adding more grab safety bars ….please. Also, the emergency cord is nowhere near the shower, where it is most needed. If you fell, you’d have to just shout till someone came to help as you couldn’t get to near the cordon a far corner of the very large bathrooms. Need more hangers please, five is not enough for a luxury hotel, especially attending weddings. You are unable to hang dresses as the space between rail and shelves isn’t big enough to allow a dress to hang freely. Again, another thing that could be easily fixed. The ballroom where the wedding dinner was held is not air conditioned like every other space in the hotel. It was just sweltering in there for a long dinner, and the fans provided were doing nothing at all. We think it reached about 33C over the evening in there. The poor staff serving were really suffering , as it was unusual hot weather outdoors ,over 28C for three days. The room is gigantic, so not sure it’s fixable…. Sound like a lot of complaints, but at those prices, all these details matter!

the breakfast wasnt great. It was a tuesday morning at 8:15 and i was waiting 35 minutes for 2 poached eggs and bacon, asked for the eggs to be well done and they were runny. Just disappointing as everything else was fantastic

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Every detail thought of. Great facilities and beautiful rooms. In a time when lots of hotels talk about 5 stars, this actually is a benchmark hotel. Pretty good gym for a hitel too

Wonderful staff, fantastic food and immaculate room. Ellen and Mary were especially lovely and tremendous assets to any hotel.

Can't change the weather unfortunately. But everything in their control was taken care of to the nth degree.

I have never experienced such attentiveness from hotel staff prior to my stay here. I was blown away by the care and support given. On arrival, we were assisted by Ben and literally he made our stay! He gave the best first impression. This has made me change how I look at a overnight stay going forward. Excellent customer service, great food, amazing venue, beautiful walks and just the perfect escape. Breakfast was best breakie I have ever had. Those mini muffins were to die for ha. Thank you so much!

Everything was wonderful! The property is absolutely beautiful and surrounded by nature. We loved the bicycles and enjoyed riding around the grounds and through the woods. The swimming pool and spa were excellent and added to the relaxing experience. The breakfast, gardens, and rooms were all fantastic. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Beautiful setting and very nice room

We loved the exquisite parkland setting enhanced with amazing sculptures. Taking a walk in the woods and enjoying the beautiful birdsong was a special treat. The facility and grounds were breathtaking!

Bed was uncomfortable, 2 singles pushed together, the mattress was saggy and the joining of the 2 beds was hard to lie on.

Beautifully maintained, peaceful and calm surroundings. The food was fantastic, fresh and very well priced. Very cool surroundings.
