The host is incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. From the moment you arrive, you immediately feel warmly welcomed. The accommodation is clean, comfortable, and well taken care of. Communication was excellent throughout the stay, and the host was always available to help. I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

As a solo traveler, safety and comfort were my top priorities, and this place exceeded all my expectations. Ms. Menchie is an incredibly kind, welcoming, and thoughtful host. She gave clear directions before I arrived, recommended great places to eat, and even shared fair rates for motorbike rentals and tricycle rides, which made exploring Siquijor so much easier. The location is excellent close to the main road, convenience stores, and motorbike rentals. I also loved the cozy garden that created such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. One thing I truly appreciated was the terrace with a clothesline, which was very helpful for drying wet clothes, towels, and even shoes after a day of exploring. Every part of my stay was smooth and stress-free. This accommodation made my Siquijor experience even more memorable. It truly is a hidden gem, and I would happily stay here again.

A small suggestion for improvement: It would be even better if there were a bedside table for easier access to charging phones and personal items. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Miki gave me a warm welcome and a pleasant stay, I would totally recommend staying with her! Everything was really clean and there was hot water.

Miki’s guesthouse ligt op 5 minuten lopen van Tubod beach marine sanctuary, (bijna naast het Coco grove resort) waar je direct vanaf het strand kunt snorkelen en prachtige koralen en vissen kunt zien. Miki kan excursies voor je regelen. Jayboy zorgt voor je vervoer bijvoorbeeld het ophalen bij de haven en hij kan een dagtoer met je maken over het eiland.Als je van snorkelen houdt laat hem dan via Tulapos marine sanctuary rijden voor een snorkeltocht met gids. Het guesthouse heeft een heerlijk bed, goede airco en warme douche. Je kunt op het terrasje je eigen ontbijtje maken of je loopt de straat in waar je binnen 5 minuten restaurantjes vindt. Miki en Jayboy zijn lieve hosts die je graag helpen. We hadden graag langer gebleven.

Einfaches aber sehr schönes und sauberes Appartment. Es hat eine kleine Küche und eine schöne Terasse. Tolle Lage, direkt bei einem Meeresschutzgebiet, welches vom Strand erreicht werden kann und wo man sehr gut schnorcheln kann. Unglaublich liebe und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Die Unterkunft ist eine grosse Empfehlung!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Miki est extrêmement gentille et agréable, toujours souriante et disponible.🌺 Elle prendra soin de vous. La chambre était parfaitement propre, tout comme la salle de bain : rien à redire. Le logement est très bien situé, juste à côté de la plage. Nous sommes restés 4 jours et à refaire je reviendrais ici. Un endroit que nous recommandons sans hésiter !

뜨거운물이 안나와요. 더운날씨에 큰 문제없이 샤워했지만 뜨거운 샤워를 하기 위해서 전기포트에 물을 데워야 했어요. 화장실에 거울이 없고 냄새가 났어요. 하루 이틀 묵을예정이면 문제없어요. 우리는 5일을 묵었는데 3일째날에 방을 치워줬어요. 수건은 요청하면 가져다 주지만 좋은 수건은 아니었습니다.

The property was very clean. It is set in a pretty garden lit with pretty lights at night. There are scooters for hire that were easily arranged with the owner.

Everything was perfect. Miki is such a kind human being, she was always invested in making me feel at home and even offered me to get medication for me while i had a flu. Loved chatting to her and jboy. If I ever visti Siquijor again, I will for sure stay at Miki's Guesthouse.

Miki was an incredibly attentive host and made sure everything we needed was taken care of. The room is simple but with everything you need, and cleaned regularly. The bed was comfortable and the a/c was much appreciated in the heat. The location of the guesthouse is great - right next to a beautiful beach and across from places to eat. I was working at Eden Coworking so it was a convenient few minutes walk away.

Miki the Host is very helpful, just wonderful to stay with such great people. If you need a TukTuk Ride, they will take you themselves or tell you the correct price. AC was working well & the place was clean. You even have a small fridge and some cutlery and plates in the room. Would recommend it 120%.

Miki the host is the best you will ever get! She helped with activities to do on the island, she rented her motorcycles to us, and she was a pleaure to talk to and get to know.

There were small lizards in the room but they didn't both us. Other than that, I couldn't have asked for a more welcoming stay, highly recommended.

Accessibility to all the attractions and the host giving us ideas on everything that we can do on the island.

Mikis Guest House is a comfortable and welcoming bungalow nestled amongst trees in provincial San Juan, Siquijor. Across the road is a convenient eatery if one doesn't want to venture too far. With regard swimming, the beach is very close by, however be sure to wear wet shoes as the rocky shore is a bit rough on bare feet. If brave and capable, I highly recommend renting a motorcycle to explore the surroundings. Our host Miki (Mechie), is warm, engaging and pleasant to chat with and incredibly helpful. We developed a bond with Miki and hope to be able to visit her again someday for a longer duration 😊

Best feature of the guest house is Miki herself! Incredibly helpful and thoughtful. One night it was raining heavily, Miki bought an umbrella to my room in case I wanted to go out. Very kind. Location is very convenient to numerous restaurants and small stores. 200 metres to a beautiful beach. Room facilities are great with fridge, kettle, huge water bottle. Recommended!

I am so happy I have stayed at Miki's! What a great place she runs, and the location is great; there is a great restaurant just in front and the beach where you can do snorkeling, have drinks and chill is just 2 minutes away. Jboy, who works with Miki, can take you anywhere and also pick you up from the ferry. It was a big plus for someone like me who does not drive a scooter. Thank you Miki for this wonderful time!

The location is very good! It's close to the beach and a few great restaurants. Miki also rents a scooter which is very convenient and you can count on her when you need transportation to or from the port. We had 3 encounters with spiders, that's for a European are big. Miki helped us in the situation and provided us with a bug spray.

Mikis is the most wonderful host, we loved chatting with her. She has scooters for rent for 350 and transport to pier for 350. The half bungalow was absolutely fine for this great price. The A/C is a little bit loud and the property is also next to the road, but otherwise we were very happy to stay there. Lots of food options close by. It's also very practical to have a little kitchen, your own Gallon of drinking water and a porch to dry stuff. Tubod Beach is a 5 min walk, which is nice but a little limited by the resorts there. We chose to eat at Coco Grove in order to better use the beach (and their shades), good food, but not very cheap. We can recommend visiting the Cantabon water cave.

Miki is the best host we had in our 3 months travelling SE Asia. She is very attentive and great with communication (easy to WhatsApp and replies fast). The location is good, she has bikes for rental and a transfer service. The room is spacious with everything you’d need (including a personal water dispenser). Highly recommend.

We wish we had booked Miki’s sooner. Miki is an absolute LEGEND. She prioritises the wellness, comfort and safety of her guests and we cannot be anymore grateful. She’s super communicative and also helped us get to the port in time 🥹 was also lovely to get heaps of local recommendations around the town Facilities are super comfy and clean, you have everything you need for a great stay on the island. The location is super central close to laundry, food and tour bookings and just a couple minutes walk to the marine sanctuary.

Miki is the sweetest. She was so helpful and accommodating. We only stayed one night and when we got there we rented a bike from her and she basically walked us through a full itinerary to make the most of our time. It was great! The next day Jayboy took us to the port in a tuktuk. All extra services were very reasonably priced, AC worked great, and there was a fresh water dispenser in the room. Would definitely come back!

The previous guests had left the window open overnight and the room was FULL of mosquitoes. We killed dozens, but also didn't get bit? This wasn't Miki's fault of course, but beware of opening any windows or leaving the door open!

A good thing about this place is the location- walking distance to the beautiful beach Tubod and close to a nice hotel( Coco Grove) to indulge a bit of luxury and their spa.

Kept at all times the door and windows closed and killed about 40 mosquitoes during 3 days. They would constantly come inside from somewhere else, maybe the fan in the bathroom or the shower drainer. Mosquito net around the bed needs to be cleaned. The proximity to the road made it noisy but no dogs barking or roosters. Bring earplugs! No hot water in the shower. The lady owner is very friendly and helpful but I didn’t appreciate when after paying 350 pesos for a ride to the port/ ferry she invited herself and her friend in the Tuk tuk without asking if I was ok with it. It wouldn’t have been fair to squeeze myself and pay full price. However she understood I wasn’t happy and left her friend at home.

This is the most satisfying hotel I have stayed at in the Philippines. First of all, it is clean and tidy, with complete facilities, including air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a water dispenser. The host is warm and welcoming, making me feel very comfortable. The location is great; although it is away from the busiest beach, everything is accessible. There is a small local restaurant across the street that serves delicious and inexpensive food, and the restaurant to the left is also quite nice. It is right next to Coco Groove, sharing a beach with Coco. There is also an excellent dive center nearby that offers trips to Apo Island, which is an amazing diving spot. Finally, the host even arranged for transportation to the pier for me. It was a perfect trip, both with the hotel and on Siquijor Island.

Miki is the sweetest person on the island. She had so many helpful tips for sightseeing and good food spots. Jboy drove us around the island which helped us a lot. The room was nice and clean. Totally recommend this place. The beach for snorkeling is super close to the accommodation.

Miki is very nice, there's a very good restaurant in front to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. The room is great, with AC and good wifi, and it's also close to the beach and a marine sanctuary.

Miki and her cousin Jayboy are authentic, friendly hosts who go the extra 1.61 kms to ensure guests enjoy their stay on Siquijor Island. They rented us a great motorbike and helped us return to the port. The air conditioner worked well. The wifi was more than sufficiently fast for our needs. It was nice to have a porch to sit on.

The room we had was a bit dated and the mosquito net was hard to keep on the bed. The bathroom door was missing the knob.

Everything was great on our stay! A spacious room with private bathroom, a kettle, dishwasher with some plates and cups, a fridge and a powerful AC. Also a mosquito net on a very comfortable bed, but good thing there weren’t that many mosquitos. Also towels, toilet paper and soap are provided! Miki was such a wonderful host!! She was so helpful, giving us many recommendations and helping us organise transport around the island, as well as helping us plan our route to Moalboal. The Homestay was great value for money and in an excellent location, it was 2 minutes from the beach and close to a number of restaurants and small shops. The room was clean and the bed was comfy, and the bathroom was great. There was even a whole water dispenser in the room!! A great place to stay, I would recommend to all!!

Absolutely loved our stay here, it really felt like home. Miki was so helpful and accommodating and even arranged transport to pick us up from the ferry. Bike hire was great and beach was super close by. Couldn't recommend it more!

Miki is such a lovely host and was always very helpful. The guesthouse is just two minutes walking distance from the Beach and the garden looks so nice. She also provides fresh drinking water in the room.

For us it was not a problem but maybe it’s nice to know that the shower doesn’t have hot water ;)

The biggest strengths of MIKI’S guesthouse are Mechie herself and the location. Mechie is such a fun and easygoing host! She made sure I was comfortable, from making the guesthouse super neat to introducing me to the area and people of Tubod. - Guesthouse extremely clean with clean bedding and neat floor & bathroom. No insect inside despite the fact that the guesthouse is in the middle of trees. Mechie is attentive to keep the mosquitoes away and there is a net around the bed. - Large bed and accessible bathroom. Fresh water available in the room and little kitchenette. Balcony on the private garden, very nice to take breakfast. - The Guesthouse has perfect location 1 min away from Tubod Marine sanctuary and beautiful beaches. Coco Dive is right there for diving excursions. Many restaurants nearby, shops and small eateries as well. Tagbaylon Hostel in front allows to meet plenty of people. Location is perfect because it’s not right in the center of San Juan but it’s less than 5min away by motorbike and ~17min walk. - I personally didn’t rent a motorbike so I mostly walked and it’s feasible. For longer distances, you can hail taxi-motorbikes on the way, it’s pretty cheap or ask Mechie to take you around. Tubod beach is a gem that should be visited by sunset. Music, drinks, nice people and the sea, it has a really nice vibe. - Mechie is very kind, she gave me plenty of advice and offered to show me around. She’s everything you would expect from a guesthouse owner and so much better than a hotel. She introduced me to tubod local life and looked out for me. I lived every late evening discussions with her! Thank you for welcoming me Siquijor and for taking care of me, Mechie and JBoy!

Nothing really, I was worried about the location without a motorbike but it ended up still convenient

The first thing is that Miki and her cousin are very welcoming and nice people. They are ready to help you and answer all your questions. There were only 2 houses, so more private. Close to a few good restaurants and a short scooter ride to all the shops. A short walk to the beach. Strong internet connection. A good base to explore the island.

The Host's were lovely and very helpful: lots of restaurant tips and suggestions on what to do, pickup service from the ferry, laundry service, scooter rental. The best part definitely was the location. There is a Marine Sanctuary just around the corner: such a great snorkeling spot with great sunsets. Lots of restaurants with yummy food in walking distance. Could have stayed longer!

We stayed at Miki's our last few nights in the Philippines and we could honestly not have been happier. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would!! Everything about this stay was amazing. Our guesthouse was cozy yet spacious, the bed was really comfortable, we even had our own water refill jug in our room which was AWESOME. The location was actually perfect. Walking distance or a short scoot to some great restaurants, and we were literally next door to the Tubod beach Marine Sanctuary where we had an epic snorkelling experience! The BEST part about this stay were the hosts, Miki and Jboy. They were so friendly and went out of their way to help us when we needed it and make us feel right at home. STAY HERE! You will not be disappointed. And Miki/Jboy, please build more guesthouses so that we can take all our friends and family here one day :) Steph & Justin (from Canada)

Located at 5 minutes walk from tubod beach. Only 2 rooms. Extremely comfortable bed and very clean. Michi and Jboy became good friends. Hope to be back in a couple of years..

We just had a short stay, but when we were at the guesthouse we were always welcomed with warm smiles and hearts. Everything we wished for was arranged in a heartbeat: scooters, port transfer at 4 am, etc. There was lots of free drinking water provided and we appreciated the hook above the bed to fix your own (not provided) mosquito net. The restaurant across the street offers great food (many veggies breakfast options) for a low price.

Super clean. Kettle, big bottle of water, fridge in the room. Solid air conditioning. 2 min walk to Tubod Marine Sanctuary (great place to snorkel). Good motorbikes/helmets for rental. Very kind and caring people, I’ve always felt being taken care of. A few restaurants close by.

We loved the way our host, Ma'am Miki and Kuya J Boy treated us. Ma'am Miki owns the property and she's the primary caretaker. She was very transparent about the pricing and she was a great resource for where to go. How much it will cost. We never had to worry about anything or how to get something. Whether it was a land tour, where to dive, massage, laundry. It was so easy to arrange transfers to the port and even my friends who joined us and stayed in a different hotel. Kuya J Boy was the one who picked them up when they arrived and Kuya also recommended his cousin to pick them up when that day he couldn't do the drop off. Nobody was ever charged more for anything. And this is big especially with us coming from Manila and my partner from France. We only regret not staying longer because Siquijor is so beautiful. So peaceful. We were there to dive so we often just walked to Island Explorers. Highly recommend that dive shop. Also wasn't far from lots of places to eat. It was also walking distance from Tubod Sanctuary. Kuya Jboy also did our land tour for inexpensive. Was really worth it. When we needed transportation. It was really easy to talk to him and we didn't have to pay as much as in other places we went to. I recommend being open to ask Ma'am Miki about anything like ferry tickets, dive shops. Recommendations. Massages, laundry, land tour because if you don't ask. They won't know that you need it or that they can offer a service for cheaper than the others. Our massage for example was cheaper than the resorts nearby and Ma'am Miki's contact was Kuya Jboy's sister who used to do massages in Coco Grove resort where the price for massages were just so much more expensive. Instead of having to pay for pedicab to go there. We were able to arrange for the lady to do a home visit and it was so much cheaper than most resorts.

It is a budget accommodation. And a lot of things are cash dependent. But that's because the place isn't a big hotel or resort like the ones next to it. At the same time. The small size was the charm and it felt like we were staying with people who really cared about us and took care of us. When we went to more expensive hotels after. We didn't feel the level of care even if the facilities might have been better. This place is also so much cheaper and for the value. We really loved it.

Sparkling clean accomodation with a beautiful garden, which is located 2 minutes away from the beach/snorkeling area. The hosts were very nice and friendly. I highly recommend it.

Nothing. It was perfect

Everything was really great, we enjoyed our stay and the owners were just the sweetest, very helpful and kind. We rented a scooter from them for 350 pesos a day which was very comfy. Fridge in the room and water refill was amazing!

Lots of mosquitoes. Got bitten maaany times. They were somehow entering the room constantly. Maybe spraying the area would be a great idea.
