just a beautiful place full stop

kettle had nowhere to plug in was not near a socket, not easy to handle tea tray with complimentary coffee etc in it. had no normal tea bags or enough milk. all these minor detail for such an amazing place.

We had an amazing two night stay at Oranmore. The service and food was exceptional! We loved the traditional feel of the place which was very warm and welcoming. The breakfasts and dinners were top class and we felt looked after but not rushed. We also enjoyed a drink in the courtyard/bar area and had a great dog-friendly room!

We were attending a wedding nearby and stayed for 1 night. Received a very warm welcome from Gerard. Our room was superior, clean and spacious. Breakfast was good. Overall very happy and would stay here again.

Delicious food, lovely staff who were always very friendly and helpful, wonderful courtyard area and a very comfy bed.

Key for room door was stiff and I personally couldn’t open it which could have been a problem if there was a fire.

The staff were friendly and professional. The gardens and outdoor area are beautiful and they grow some of their own vegetables. The decor was charming.

The double bed was small. The plumbing was not good-pressure kept dropping, flush was weak, temperature of the water kept changing from hot to cold and once the shower stopped midway.

My husband and I, while visiting nearby relatives, stayed at Oranmore because of my cousin's recommendation. We very much enjoyed Oranmore. We were welcomed and made to feel at ease from the moment we arrived. The accommodations were comfortable and homelike in atmosphere. Staff was thoroughly professional, efficient as well as being warm and friendly. We could not have been more pleased with our stay. Wishing all at Oranmore the best!

The breakfast was great as previously experienced but a few hiccups on our last morning, they were busy so possibly a reason.

I stayed at Oranmore House while travelling alone and had a really enjoyable experience. It’s a beautiful historic property with lots of character, elegant interiors and a lovely traditional country-house atmosphere. The breakfast was one of the highlights — very tasty, fresh and well prepared, and a perfect start to the day. The whole place feels much more personal and charming than a typical chain hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the surroundings are peaceful despite being conveniently close to Ballymena town centre. The house and gardens are beautiful and give the property a distinctive Northern Irish character. A great choice for a solo traveller looking for somewhere comfortable, atmospheric and a little different. I would definitely stay here again — especially for the breakfast!

Location, staff and grounds were equally exceptional

No iron in room. Only left 2 towels for a room of three. Toiletries could have been better for price of room and if you burn the toast please make more rather than serving it with the eggs.

Basically everything was excellent! The staff and family were absolutely incredible, so attentive and some of the nicest people I've ever met. Thank you for that.

Literally only one thing, the shower basically dribbled out! Would occasionally pump a bit more but it was just a little faulty I think. All perfect other than that!

We stayed in the Lavender Cottage and the room was delightful. The bed was luxurious and the bathroom well- appointed. We shared the kitchenette with the room next door. We had dinner at the restaurant - the beef tenderloin was divine. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. We enjoyed a meal on the back patio as well. There was plenty of parking. The grounds were lovely - a kitchen garden in site and chickens too! We would come back in a minute!!

We stayed in the Sheridan Suite with our dog, and it was really great! It had direct access from outside, and everything we needed was right there! I’d especially like to highlight the friendliness and professionalism of the entire staff! Thank you very much

Was close to the wedding we were attending

We were greeted by a less than savoury staff member, who had made us feel unwelcome before we even checked in. Wrongly assumed, because we were attending a wedding, that we need to keep our volume as they had “paying guests” staying in the place. As if we weren’t paying or were less than other customers. She had wrongly assumed us as rowdy before we had checked in.

Delightful, peaceful guesthouse with lovely gardens. Homegrown vegetables and fresh eggs from their chickens. Delicious breakfast selection. Well situated for Ballymena. Would highly recommend.

What a great small hotel. Incredibly attentive to all the details. Food was great and the courtyard is a great little spot to sit in the sun and unwind. Truly a family run hotel where passion excels. Well done to entire team. We used the location as a central hub to explore Northern Ireland. What a perfect base.

Bathroom light. I understand energy saving on timer but to see during the day I had to close the door to make it dark enough for the light to come on.

The place was a delight from walking through front door Gerard the owner couldn't do enough for you along with the rest of the staff Room was small but v comfortable with everything you needed Food was exceptional especially the dinner, but who can fault a full Ulster fry for breakfast 😀 Would definitely recommend and next time we're in Ballymena I know where we will be staying

Le charme et la classe de l’hôtel et l’accueil exceptionnel de notre hôte. La restauration était délicieuse. Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans cet endroit un peu hors du temps.

À l’arrivée nous avons été un peu déçus par la chambre située dans une annexe à côté de l’hôtel mais l’accueil était tellement chaleureux que c’est passé au second plan.

The location of the Oranmore was just perfect. Oranmore is really lovely, the staff and so friendly and welcoming. The grounds are really lovely and the rooms are just perfect in size. Breakfast was good with lots to chose from. Would highly recommend them.

Hearty welcome and wonderful personable show around key areas of the hotel and to our room, excellent room and friendly cats.

Leaving - it was a wonderful hotel and we both wished we had longer time available to stay on.

Lots of character, fantastic food and brilliant staff.

Old character was great but the heating seemed aged.

The accommodation itself was beautiful with access to the lovely grounds. Without doubt the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! The host Fiona was friendly and the staff were also polite and accommodating as l needed to borrow a charging plug . I highly recommend Oranmore Guesthouse

Beautiful accommodation. I was checked in by Gerard who was very welcoming and showed me to the room. Room was lovely and clean with bottled water, tea/coffee and biscuits. Breakfast was excellent.

Only downside was the water pressure in the shower kept dropping to the point that only a few drips of water was coming out.

Really enjoyed the overall stay will definitely recommend for a stay if you are visiting Antrim

Our room was lovely and the breakfast was nice and fresh. Loved the proper china and vintage style to match the house. The team were all friendly and nice, nothing was too much trouble. Jerrad is a very good host.

Not really much, breakfast seemed a little chaotic at times, but I think everyone arrived at once.

Place was immaculate staff so friendly and helpful and food was excellent.

Details on the room. Bedside table only on one side of bed. I had to pull a chair over my side to put my phone and glass of water on. Lack of space in bathroom for cosmetics and space to put your bits say whilst doing makeup. Small things that make a difference.
