Really enjoyable stay at Safari Beach Guest House. The property was clean, comfortable and welcoming, with plenty of space and everything needed for a relaxed stay. The location is excellent for Lagos, with beaches, restaurants, cafés and the town all within easy reach. It was particularly nice having the extra communal space to relax in, and the whole place had an easy-going, homely atmosphere. Great value for the location and I’d happily stay again.

Der Verwalter Bruno war nett, die Lage ist mit nur 15 Minuten zu Strand, Stadt und Supermarkt gut, in einer ruhigen Wohngegend.

Ich kann nur für das Vierbett-Zimmer und die Küche im Keller sprechen, die anderen Räume kenne ich nicht. Die Zimmer sind nicht so hell und sauber wie auf den Fotos. Es ist eng und überall im Bad ist Schimmel. Die Türen klemmen und lassen sich nicht richtig schließen. Der Boden und die Betten waren soweit sauber, die Küche wurde leider weitgehend sich selbst überlassen. Es gab nicht genügend Besteck, für 15 Benutzer gab es dieselben zwei Geschirrtücher über 3 Tage und alles war klebrig. Zudem ein modriger Kellergeruch.

Great accommodation for the price. The owner/ Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Little walk to city centre. Great fast wifi and very clean space.

The AC was controlled by the other people you wete staying with and not the owner, so everyone keep the AC on and off which made sleeping very difficult in a +30 night. Wish it was controlled by the owner to keep it in a reasonable temperature.

Lovely little homey feeling place! Aircon was an absolute blessing. Super friendly staff, clean bathroom with a really nice shower (ensuite to the 4 bed female room). Handy that they also have an outdoor shower to wash off the sand and a rack to hang wet swimwear on

A little further out from the centre than I realised but a lovely do-able walk in so not really an issue at all

Homy vibe. A lot of common space inside and at the front yard to sit alone or to socialize. The kitchen is also spacious, possible to prepare food even when other guests is using it. In the ladies dorm we have our own toilet, that's very convenient. The quite neighborhood just 18 min walk to Dona Ana beach is perfect for me. Good supermarkets around. Close to bus stop when I was going to Sagres, I didn't hv to go to the main station. One evening Bruno invited us for barbecue as well, that's kind.

The bed and mattress could be better. Upper bunkbed makes a lot of noise, not good for lightsleepers. Also the stove hood made a lot of noise, I feel bad to turn it on in the morning. If you are always in a hurry it can be difficult

The kitchen was nice and it was a good location.

My activewear and food was stolen during my stay by another guest. The owner didn’t seem to care that much until I hassled him about who did it. There is only one bathroom for an entire 8 bed dorm which I think is pretty tough. No curtains on the bed but there was aircon.

Malheureusement, l’isolation des murs n’est pas parfaite… On entend facilement les allées et venues des autres locataires dans les couloirs. Cela peut parfois être contraignant si vous avez le sommeil léger ;)

Je crois que ça ne vaut vraiment pas le prix pour cet hostel, la salle de bain mérite plus d’attention et la cuisine est très mal équipé et comporte tout le temps une odeur désagréable. Il faut même payer pour jouer au billard.

Fabio e Bruno Antonio sono dei super host! Simpatici, professionali e disponibili. Posizione ottima, il centro è raggiungibile a piedi in pochi minuti. Parcheggio vicinissimo alla struttura. Camera grande, per essere un ostello! Top!

The location is great, close to everything specially if you are driving, supermarket about 6min driving and 8min to a beautiful beach Bruno was so friendly and gave us a lot of tips, we really enjoyed the stay. It was very clean.

Està ben ubicat i tot i que no hi ha parking es pot aparcar facilment.

Vam filtrat per bany privat i ens va apereixer aquest allotjament però té bany compartit (culpa nostra no haver-nos fixat) El propietari tot i que va ser simpàtic al principi, després ens va molestar bastant. Posen rentadores a mig dia (la meva parella es trovaba malament i no el van deixar fer la mig diada en pau) i quan tanques la porta de la cuina perquè no faci tant soroll la tornen a obrir. A més, a la nit (pasades les 12), es va posar a parlar amb uns altres hostes al pati del darrera (la nostra habitació donava a allà) en un tó molt alt, no vam poder dormir fins que no van marxar. No creiem que sigui gairé oportú per part del propietari. Si tornem anar a Lagos, NO tornarem allà.

It’s okay, a place to sleep and the host was helpful. The kitchen had facilities to cook and laundry was available at an additional cost.

Location not great - no public transport & 35 min walk to centre. Bolt is cheap though. Also worth mentioning the location on google is down the road from the booking.com location (booking.com location is correct). We stayed in the 8 bed dorm and there was only one bathroom/shower - difficult for 8 people in the dorm room. There was no quiet time or hostel rules, noisy until 1am so got little sleep in the dorm and host was chatting outside with friends late at night. We didn’t get great sleep. There was no process for the front door being locked at night and there was no key given to lock the dorm room, so not very secure. Kitchen was clean enough but a bit dated and pans were not clean that day. While host was friendly, he had a very chill vibe and was smoking outside the hostel at night with friends which drafted into the dorm room. Overall, doesn’t look like the pictures, the great reviews were confusing. It was not great value for money, but ok for a couple nights if nothing much is available.

El recepcionista puso ropa mía entre sus cosas, se perdió en ese momento un artículo que utilizo para nadar, y no tuve respuesta. Había una persona que se quedaba (creo que amigo del recepcionista) sin ser parte del hostel ni de los que alquilamos...eso fue raro.

There is an amazing sense of organization, cleanliness, and such a great vibe. The owner, Bruno, is one of the best people I’ve ever met. He is kind, supportive, welcoming, and always makes you feel at home.

El alojamiento esta bien ubicado, se llega caminando super facil al centro y a las playas, ademas pasan bastantes transportes publicos muy cerca de alli. Sin embargo, creo que al alojamiento le faltaba limpieza e instalaciones mas comodas. Habia pocos cubiertos, vajilla en general.

Bagno con finestra non apribile rendeva difficile areare dopo la doccia. La struttura poteva essere pulita meglio, c'erano capelli nella stanza appena arrivati e formiche in giro.

La salle de bain n’était pas très propre et il n’y avait qu’un toilette dans la salle de bain qui était partagée avec 6 personnes donc c’était pas très pratique! L’hostel était localisé loin du centre (15 min à pied) et donc il fallait prendre un uber pour rentrer le soir.

No se puede estar cerca de todo, pero lo más próximo es Praia Dona ana, muy bien, pero todo lo demás , andando, está menos cerca.

La posizione è stata davvero comoda: si poteva raggiungere tranquillamente a piedi sia il centro sia le spiagge nelle vicinanze. La zona è molto tranquilla e silenziosa la sera, ideale per rilassarsi. La cosa che ci è piaciuta di più, però, è stata l’atmosfera della casa: una casa indipendente, molto ben attrezzata, curata e organizzata in ogni dettaglio. Entrare sembrava quasi di essere a casa di amici o di persone che conosci da sempre. Un ambiente accogliente, confortevole e davvero piacevole, che ha reso il soggiorno ancora più speciale. Un’ultima nota di merito va sicuramente al proprietario, che si è dimostrato gentilissimo, cordiale e sempre molto disponibile. È stato presente per qualsiasi richiesta o informazione, facendoci sentire seguiti e a nostro agio durante tutto il soggiorno. Una disponibilità davvero apprezzata e che ha contribuito a rendere l’esperienza ancora più positiva.

Buen trato, muy cercano y se preocupan de que estés a gusto, cerca hay un súper pequeño que cierra a las 20:00.

Las taquillas son pequeñas, no cabe una maleta, pero no hubo incidentes.

Sehr netter und unkomplizierter Check Inn. Der Gastgeber ist wirklich sehr freundlich und immer gut gelaunt! Zur Stadt ist es ca. ein 20 minütigen Spaziergang. Parkplätze sind direkt in der Steasse verfügbar.

Gemeinschaftsbad!!! Dass ging leider nicht eindeutig aus der Beschreibung hervor. Es gibt hier u. da ein paar Kleinigkeiten die mal repariert werden könnten.

Nous avions la suite à l’étage avec balcon et salle de bain privé. Tout était aménagé avec gouttière et propre.La cuisine commune était toujours propre. L’espace au frigo était divisé selon notre hébergement. Le logement est bien situé et pas de soucis de stationnement… il y avait toujours de la place dans la rue. Je recommande fortement la suite . Die Lage und der freundliche Service haben uns am besten gefallen! Es ist ein solides Hostel, das etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Außerdem haben wir gut in dem Bett geschlafen!

Es ist leider sehr hellhörig (drinnen wie von draußen) und die Ausstattung der Küche ist ok, aber nicht gut.

Just one thing with the room, the ceiling had some damage and so paint chips kept falling all over the right side of the bedside, could use an upgrade to fix that.

There was just not a nice vibe, i expected it to be a way more fun hostel, its good for a night or two if you looking just for a place to sleep but there is absolutely no social life, I’m in my mid 20 and the guests where like in my parents age, which doesn’t have me a feeling of a hostel , where I can meet and connect with people. The room was okay, but smelt a bit weird .. it was the basics but not a room I would feel comfortable for staying for a few days. I would recommend it only to you if you staying a day and doesn’t want to have a hostel where it’s a social place. The owner was really friendly and helpful and I can’t say anything bad about him :) I was missing some activities to offer, some games nights, some stuff to do.

Le propriétaire extrêmement gentil! On est situé à 15 minutes de tous à pied! Plage, centre ville, promenade, etc! Il a même des vélos à loué! Ainsi, on peut laver notre linge! On a adoré notre expérience!! C’est vraiment une petite maison accueillante, respectueuse et agréable! On a manqué de rien! Un énorme merci a l’hôtel Daniel!! 🥰

Dans la chambre double c’est une fan et non de l’air climatisé! Mais on ouvrait les fenêtres le soir c’était parfait la température! :)

Un poco más lejos del centro, pero realmente lo que merece la pena en Lagos son las playas, es mejor estar más cerca de ellas que del centro, por lo que para mí la ubicación estaba genial

Had the best stay here! I don’t usually recommend shared hostels but this place truly deserves a shout. Bruno was the most accommodative host I’ve ever met, he’s warm and welcoming, explains to you about the place and would happy to give you any recommendations about Lagos anytime. He makes everyone who stays here feel comfortable and safe. He even went beyond helping us storing our luggages on the day we checked out without any charges & let us hang around while waiting for our evening bus. Would definitely stay here again whenever I’m back in Lagos & would recommend this stay to everyone visiting Lagos !!! Muito obrigado Bruno, I wish you the best <333

Friendly, hospital and make a great atmosphere

It was user friendly, more like staying in someones home rather than a Hostel. Easy to do your washing and prepare your own food. Very quiet at night.

The location was in a residential area, only 1 supermarket and 1 restaurant nearby. A good 15mins walk downhill to town but a much harder walk uphill home. No privacy screens on the bunks and no power points in your bunk, you had to unplug the lamp and use that one.

La struttura e’ nuova e gli spazi, sia personali che comuni, sono puliti e ben attrezzati; in particolare l’host e’ molto disponibile e gentile: ci ha messo a disposizione le bici elettriche e ci ha accompagnati a vedere l’alba. Super!!!!!

Everything, what makes it a cut above the rest is the Manager, Bruno, he was fantastic, best guesthouse supervisor in the Algarve!! Tge cleaner was also brilliant. Suoer clean and friendly. Highly recomended

Non capisco le recensioni positive, io ho avuto la peggiore esperienza della mia vita. Arrivo e suono per ben 3/4 volte (dopo aver concordato l’orario di arrivo) e nessuno mi risponde. Chiamo al tel il n. indicato almeno 5/6 volte e non risponde nessuno. Sto 20 minuti sudata sotto al sole con le valigie senza sapere che fare. Poi esce un ospite che mi fa entrare e telefona al “referente”. Arriva in bici un signore mai visto (che non era quello nella chat di Booking) che mi fa andare in un sottoscala dove hanno ricavato una camera, ma sembrava un prigione! Letti in ferro attaccati, zero spazio, finestrella minuscola, il tutto ricavato in un garage minuscolo e sporco. Il cancellino di entrata inoltre restava aperto h24 perché si apriva semplicemente tirando una corda sia da dentro che da fuori, dando la possibilità a chiunque di entrare! Me ne sono andata in 5 minuti e quando li ho chiamati per avvisare non mi hanno nemmeno restituito i soldi della prenotazione. Pessimi.

Safari Beach guest house felt like a home from the moment I arrived. The common spaces were large and comfortable and everything was very clean. It had everything I needed for a great stay in Lagos!
