This pub with accommodation is truly a hidden gem. The staff are friendly and welcoming as are their customers. The room was beautiful. Clean, spacious and I loved the teddy bear sat on the bed. The bed was comfortable. No complaints from me. Everything was perfect.

Clean and nice interior. Lady upon arrival was very friendly and helpful. Didn’t have a chance to sample the pub but good selection. Beds really comfy and room really nice and quiet.

Ideal town centre location. Only one parking space available, but I was lucky! Parking is available nearby. The shower enclosure had been repaired since my stay last year. It's nice to have a drink at the traditional pub before bedtime, and the staff are friendly. Very comfortable, cosy, and quiet rooms at the back.

Check-out could be a little later than 10am at weekends, but it was no big deal.

Great location, we were visiting a friend in Leek and chose to stay at this hotel for the night. It was close to everything we needed. The rooms were very cosy and homey and the bed was super comfy.

Only downside if I’m being picky was the shower gel provided. Not to my taste would prefer a nice brand

We only stayed for one night, so we booked the small room. It was clean, nicely decorated, and we had a great night's sleep. Parking was easy on the street. The pub was excellent and definitely worth a visit.

Guy was so lovely and accommodating for us as we were staying for a wedding locally. He let us use a private space in the pub to get ready for the wedding as our room wasn’t ready yet. He was very kind and welcoming!

The parking onsite is very limited with and the lightning in the bathroom of our room could have been brighter.

Welcome on arrival. Keycode entry to enter main door and room access, enabled a swift departure. Thoughtful touches; milk in the room's mini-fridge and fan provided (our stay was during a heatwave). Situated just a short walk into town.

We were lucky to be able to park in one of the two parking bays; however, the limited parking was made very clear on the website.

Room a little small, although I knew that when I booked. Fridge situated in the walk-in wardrobe -not ideal on a hot day as fridge struggled to keep the milk fresh

Toiletries not refreshed. Steep difficult access, rather noisy from below. Window could have been opened and fan put on to relieve the heat in the room.

A real gem. The room was lovely with modern decor and quality finish that you wouldn't necessarily expect in pub accommodation at this price. Looks like it has been refurbished relatively recently. Comfortable bed, modern en-suite, quality teas and coffee provided along with a fridge and fresh milk. Great traditional pub downstairs too with a good selection of decent beers at very reasonable prices. I was made to feel very welcome and they had a free parking space available which was a bonus. Very near the town centre, but the road seemed quiet so no noise issues.

Lovely room, well decorated, clean and good facilities. A mini fridge for the milk which was great and because it was my husband's birthday they left us a bottle of prosecco which was lovely! Pub was a great pub too. Had a couple of drinks there. We managed to get a parking space which was great and there was a fan in the room which was much needed when we visited! Comfy bed too.

We visited on one of the hottest days of the year so not much could be done but the room was so hot. They provided a fan which was great and we brought our own, but the temperature didn't go down with both on all night. The wardrobe where the fridge was kept was extremely hot inside so not sure if the fridge was generating extra heat. As I said, not much could be done but it was the only downside to our stay.

These are rooms on the side of a pub. very nice, very clean and very close to town, so big ticks there. No breakfast was a bit of a downside (but we knew about that) and there are plenty of good coffee shops in town. Pub very nice. just feel that £110 is a bit pricey for a room with no breakfast. But overall good.

Great location, really busy fun pub and the rooms are right upstairs. The staff were so friendly they showed us to our rooms which you can also access from a side door with a key pad if you are coming in late. The rooms are tidy and have all the facilities, even fresh milk to make tea and coffee in the mornings.

Check out time was a little early (10am) however we managed to be able to stay until about 10:30am.

Welcoming and friendly pub. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The addition of fresh milk was a nice touch too. The landlord had gone above and beyond to get our room ready early so we could get to a wedding on time. Great selection of beers.

Great location for the town centre. Very friendly staff who produced an invoice I had requested straight away. The room had everything you'd need and was very quiet and clean. Lots of brewing gear and biscuits provided. Small fridge with milk in is a great touch. Cracking pub aswell. Will definitely be staying again when working in Leek.

Friendly staff, Callum the bar man was lovely and very accommodating. The room was nice with a large TV. It was clean and had a mini fridge. All very nice.

The bed was a little short, our feet were off the end. But it was very comfortable otherwise.

Room was compact, well decorated, very clean and comfortable. In spite of its central location it was also very quiet at night. The pub was atmospheric and had a brilliant range of ales. Ideal stop over and its high scoring reviews are deserved.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The pub is a traditional pub with great beers. We were made to feel very welcome when joining in the pub quiz. The room was comfortable and well equipped and made up freshly both days.

Friendly staff who were very helpful on check in and gave advice on where to go for breakfast. The room was very well furnished and cosy. The pub itself is lovely with a friendly atmosphere.

The pub often has live music on a Sunday afternoon. It did not bother us as fair enough to hear pub noise when you stay in a pub, but be aware that you can hear it in the room.

Fantastic room we had the king-size double and the pub down stairs is beautiful and very good bar prices would highly recommend

The car parking that was supposed to be available wasn’t until after 11 pm . So had to leave car on road

Room was fabulous. Clean spacious and exactly what was needed for a stopover. Bed was super comfy and the shower was great. Very clean and lots of space.

Heating was on and room was very hot when we arrived back to room at midnight and couldn’t work out how to turn it off as it was a radiator. Thank goodness there was a fan that we used but still got a bit too hot and uncomfortable no idea why the heating was on at midnight but other than that the room was perfect

There was some sort of whirring machine that went on and off during the night. Maybe the cellar cooler? Not the end of the world though.

Lovely room, comfortable, clean, good size and nice little touches, good value for money. Good base to get into the peaks for walking.

No parking… though could find street parking ok but narrow streets. A bit noisy with the pub below, not too bad. No food available but I’d read the info wrong and thought they served food.

The only thing I was not fully happy with was the shower, it was over the bath and was very slippery, it could have done with a nonslip bath mat, but hey ho that could just be my age!

The room and facilities were excellent. We've stayed here numerous times, but this was our first time staying in this small double room. I say small double room, which it is, but it ticks all the boxes and has everything you need. Guy & his staff are warm & friendly & accommodating. The Fountain has numerous real ales, all to be consumed in relaxing warm atmospheric, popular pub. The location is within perfect walking room distance to explore the historic town of Leek.

It’s a perfect little place to stay with lovely clean rooms and a super, traditional pub downstairs which doesn’t make its presence felt to guests using the upstairs bedrooms
