Reviewed Aug 25, 2026Bereits unser dritter Aufenthalt – und bestimmt nicht der letzte! Wir erhielten sogar ein Upgrade und haben uns sehr darüber gefreut. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und lecker, das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam. Besonders auf das Abendessen im Restaurant hatte ich mich schon bei der Anreise gefreut – und wir wurden auch diesmal nicht enttäuscht. Das Hotel ist zudem ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für schöne Bike-Ausflüge. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026Het hotel ligt in het rustige dorpje Oberwald aan de voet van de Alpen en is de idiale uitvalsbasis als je de verschillende Alpenpassen wil verkennen. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en het eten in het restaurant is uitstekend. Een absolute aanrader!

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026Goeie locatie met goede parkeer voorzieningen. We konden de auto met aanhanger & twee motoren voor de deur kwijt. Je bent met een half uur op de mooiste passen, en het eten in het restaurant is erg goed. Vriendelijk personeel, en erg behulpzaam. Top plek!

Le bois donne un côté très chaleureux.La chambre est spacieuse, on s'y sent bien avec les fauteuils pour se détendre. La salle de bain est grande, moderne et propre avec de nombreux rangements. Les plats servis au restaurant sont bons et très bien présentés. Merci à Claudio et son équipe. 6eme génération à gérer cet établissement, qui a une histoire que l'on perçoit bien et qui fait toute sa richesse.

Etwas Schweizerisch mutet die ((ganz genaue)) Tischanweisung zum Abendessen und Frühstück an. Alles ist bereits eingeteilt und auch wenn man zB nur 30min frühstückt, sollte man sich ja nicht an den Tisch wagen ((wird zurückgepfiffen)), der einer anderen Zi nummer zugeteilt wurde ((die dann nach einer Std überhaupt erst zum Frühstück erscheint)) 😎 Personal sonst sehr freundlich u hilfsbereit.

The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel is in a beautiful location, making it a perfect base for exploring the area.

Das Frühstücksbuffet und die Speisekarte des Restaurants enthalten zahlreiche lokale Produkte höchster Qualität und entsprechend typisch Walliser Charakter. Traumhafte Aussicht vom Balkon und direkt über die Fussängerbrücke steht man auf einer der schönsten, längsten und perfekt präparierten Loipen der Schweiz. Viel Möglichkeiten für abwechlsungreiche Spaziergänge und 3min zu Fuss zum Bahnhof für weitere Ausflüge per Langlauf, oder auch ohne Skis.
Lediglich die dunklen Teppiche in den Korridoren, nachdem man über eine sehr schöne, renovierte, traditionelle Steintreppe, die erste Etage erreicht hat.
