Incredible location
The walls between the rooms were paper-thin, meaning you could hear everything next door (including their bathroom activities). Also, the neighbours were extremely noisy, waking us at 5 am with loud music.
Wonderful place, world class hospitality. It is an historic hotel with charm that exudes, along with some modern amenities such as fast WiFi. There's a kitchen you can use also, and parking for big vehicles is on a side street which is quite safe. About a five minute walk to the main square with cafes and restaurants. The town of Pijao is highly recommended.
Nothing, would happily return.
Siempre atenta y dispuesta a ayudar.

No tengo ninguna queja
Beautiful house, very friendly and helpful host. I liked the hammocks in the dorm!
The dorm doesn’t have a sink in the bathroom. You have to use a not so clean kitchen to wash up.
Danke! Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen.
The view
It's under construction.
Me sentí como en casa.
Llovió mucho y no pudimos hacer fogata.

It’s a beautiful place with a lovely lady who makes you feel at home. There is a nice terrace with a view of nature, a shared kitchen, a hammocks, and a very pleasant, comfortable atmosphere.

Where do I begin? The proprietor, Ngan, was the most superb host I have ever had. Though he was not on the premises at the time of my stay, his was in constant communication with and his staff to make sure my stay was enjoyable...AND IT WAS! Ngan gave me excellent logistics on how to get to his hostel. I was picked up by his staff member at road-side eatery for free since I arrived from Cambodia once I arrived into town (Trang Bang). The roadside eatery had excellent food by the way and the owner gave me a free welcome shot to his town! My excellent private room overlooked a pond with superb AC and private bathroom. The compound is a nice setting among ponds and rice fields. The community area of the hostel is spread out with a large covered area which included a pool table and complimentary snacks and water. Wi-Fi was excellent. There are bicycles and motor-bike for use too. The few dogs and cats around were a cool too. There is cold beer and bottled water for purchased as an excellent price. I used a bicycle for free to ride to Cu Chi Tunnels, about 45-minutes aways. It was and easy ride through rice fields, by rivers and communities on both dirt and paved roads...flat. Staying at LA.s Farmstay is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at and is a much better experience to visiting rural Vietnam and visiting the tunnels instead of from Ho Chi Minh City....very authentic. After my 2-day stay, Ngan's staff member gave me a lift to a covered bus station to get to Ho Chi Minh City and even stayed with me 15-minutes to make sure I caught the bus. I tip to his 2 staff member was very justified as their service went beyond the nominal level! Ngan Whatsapp is +84975023028. Ngan will have you make your reservations through Booking but use his number to communicate with him for his excellent services. STAYING AT LA'S FARMSTAY WILL BE ONE OF YOUR BEST STAYS IN VIETNAM!
Rien
This is a comfortable, historic home in a quiet town. Luz is a wonderful host and makes the space feel like home! Lots of friendly people to meet and places to explore in this area too (coffee/cacao farms, cafes, cultural centers, playing tejo). The town comes to life during the weekend (Fri-Sun) when people from surrounding fincas come to sell market goods and do weekly shopping.
Good location in the nice small town of Pijao, with a very helpful and nice lady who helped us find guides and do excursions. She made the place well worth it. The house is rustic and full of charm, and the room we had was very large, clean and airy. Beds we comfortable, and there’s a nice sitting area where birds show up at times. Communal toilet and shower was fine.
The thin walls don’t stop the traffic sounds outside, so it’s a bit noisy. Probably better to look for a room facing the garden side.
The house is delightful with great deco with wide floor boards and high ceilings. It’s clean and quiet, being just a 5 min stroll from the town plaza. Luz the host, is a lovely woman with a passion for sharing her Colombian heritage. My Spanish language level is beginner but she really helped me to speak it as much as possible.
The kind Ladies who own this property made me feel like I’m at home, and made sure I was properly prepared for a hike to a nearby village. I’d recommend the breakfast too.
Yo no sé.
A very memorable stay in a lovely hostel. The owner, Luz, was very friendly and helpful, and we shared some interesting chats despite not having a language in common :) Amazing terrace, cats, birds. Very decent breakfast.
My room didn't have a window, but that wasn't so bad as it was 1 m from the terrace. The shower is also veery close to the terrace and the cooking area, so maybe did not feel very private - although it did provide an amazing view of the mountains.
I loved the building, the rooms, the host, the breakfast!! We were treated sooo nicely. Luz the hostess was such a sweetheart!! I really want to stay at Casa Victoria again!!
I had an excellent stay at Casa Victoria. The owner is very kind, helpful, and personable. She helped me make plans while I was in Pijao and was attentive. It was a relaxing stay and I highly recommend Casa Victoria.

Very lovely host, talked a lot (mostly about food). Has a garden with nice fruits & herbs, which she can tell you passionately about. Made dinner together my last night of stay.
Shared sleeping room & bathroom were a bit outdated in looks, but everything worked perfectly!
Really nice people running the place was also lucky to be upgraded as there was work going on in the dorms
Kitchen a bit small but was all good
The best stay in Colombia!
Everything. Luz is the best host, the beautiful open space in her casa is just incredible and it's a very peaceful place. Best stay in Colombia.
The hosts were very friendly and made us feel like home. They talked to us a lot and gave us many tips for things to do in the area. The whole experience was amazing, it was my favorite place in Colombia. In the middle of nature, almost no tourists, a really great and probably more authentic experience of the country.
Close to center but not direct on the main square. There was warm water in the shower. Thats not always the case in Colombia.
The owner was in the beginning a little formel and unwelcomming. Maybe because I do not speak spanish. But he losent up the next days and was allright.
Luz and family made you feel at home in Casa Victoria. The rooms are basic, but you have a comfortable bed and a hot water shower. Breakfast was different every morning and it was delicious and plentiful. Luz has a vast knowledge of Pijao and the area.
The level of hospitality there was beyond my imagination, you can feel like a family member. Hostel has a nice location, amazing view, everything is clean. I really enjoyed it and hope to come back one day.
I loved it all. I came for a few days and ended up staying a whole week ! This hostel really is a gem. The location is great. The facilities are just ... I mean, can you imagine having your breakfast with such a beautiful view of the mountains, watching the birds come and go ? This is just heaven. There is also solid wifi, so that as a digital nomad I could work (in stunning environment) without a problem. The breakfast are so delicious that you're just looking forward to it every morning... and the best of the best is the owner of the hostel, Doña Luz, who is just a diamond ! A woman with a warm heart, with lots and lots of advices to visit the surroundings of Pijao, who makes you feel at home and with who you laugh from the morning to the evening. I just left and I already miss this place !!
It’s a very cozy and charming place. No luxury at all, simply with good taste. I have booked for one night and stayed 3! Luz Marina is a very nice host and I felt at home immediately.
No complaint at all
Casa Victoria is a very nice hostel-like hotel, in a classic building. The showers for the two main rooms are just fabulous (the view, hah, and yes, they're next to the balcony area). The people running it are super sweet, the rooms are between adequate and very nice, the basic comforts are taken care of and the atmosphere is very nice. Breakfast cooked by the host whilst discussing travel, fruits, life is just a nice experience. I'd stay a week to relax and slow-discover the environment (Pijao is a nice remote'ish valley village, sitting on a terrace watching the local world go by or going for a walk in the surrounding nature are a few good options).
The hospitality was the best I’ve had on my travels.
I had limited knowledge of this hostel as I didn't really read the reviews, but only knew that the location seemed fine and the price was reasonable, also the photos showed a simple set up which I was happy with. Its fair to say I could have stayed in Pijao longer just to stay at Casa Victoria! This place is solely owned by Doña Luz who treats you as a friend/family member. Luz is the most wonderful genuine person who gets so much joy from having guests stay with her. I spent so much time chatting to her whilst she cooked and made coffee in the kitchen. And the kitchen needs to be mentioned here because the view from kitchen/living room is just spectacular and its not shown in any of the photos. Birds visit whilst you sit and drink coffee. It was a very peaceful and beautiful way to wake up in the morning.
Luz, the host, is lovely, friendly and helpful. A terrace opens to a hillside view of beautiful flora and birds that come to feed on a shelf in front of you. A nice place to meet other travelers.
Noise from the street at times.
Luz is a helpful, fun host. The open "balcony" has a great view. The rooms, doors, and overall place are different than your standard spot; for example, a broken-off plastic clothes hanger piece is the lock on the bathroom door. The building is on the way into town from Armenia and then on the way out if you are returning there.
For some people, it may be cumbersome to have to ring a doorbell to get in and also to wait to be let out so the door can be locked behind you. Also, there are multiple security cameras on the premises, but there was no lock for my bedroom door.
Brilliant hostel with lovely family feel - each morning I was made a different breakfast, each of which were fantastic. Owner really useful when recommending and organising things to do in the area.
Host very helpful but just ask her to speak slowly if you're not a native speaker! Old-school small, friendly hostel with small sociable area with hammock and games. Very secure and main door always locked and monitored.
Not much to do in Pijao (and the one restaurant open for dinner is not very good!), although host was very helpful with finding walking routes. Cooking facilities very limited.
Doña Luz makes everybody feel at home. She can arrange a great coffee tour. It's a modest and nice place.
The host (Luz) is awesome. So friendly and talkative :-) She goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and made us a nice breakfast. The rooms are big and the beds the most comfortable we have slept on in Colombia. There is a lovely spot to have breakfast and relax in the evening that looks out over the river. Lots of nice birds in the trees. The shower was hot, which was a pleasant surprise. The town itself is cute and very local. We felt safe there and in the town and hotel. We loved our stay and won't forget it. Thank you Luz 🥰
Nothing. All ways great.
I really liked the host. She is a generous, kind lady. Amenities are very good. The common areas are comfortable and welcoming. The homestay is not at street level which is a benefit to me. I would return.
Noise from the gym across the street was loud at times, no fault of the host.
The bed in the room was very comfortable, and the WiFi was really good. The common areas were really comfortable. The host is quite sympathetic and gave a lot of recommendations.
No shared kitchen. But it's a common problem that "hostels" in Latin America don't really have a kitchen. The toilet situation is a bit complicated. The toilet in the room had no door yet, and the shared toilets were open to the top and directly next to the common area. I thought the breakfast wasn't that good for the price, but it's your choice to buy it, so I don't want to count it as a big minus point.
Everything. A home away from home. Cecilia and Marina are the most wonderful hosts, making you a part of their family and providing a wonderful experience. The house (their grandmother's) is also beautiful, with super hugh ceilings and all the features of a typical barraca. The location is excellent, and the views from the balcony are stunning!

A warm welcome by a lovely lady with an eye for detail with a cosy vibe in an authenthic hostel.
