Fan over my bed was not working (and I was not allowed to change bed even if the dorm was half empty) so nights were very hot… Floor and bathroom could have been cleaner. Some volonteers were a little distant

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026La Vaina is an extremely clean and open green space right in the centre of Cali! The pool is super refreshing and the staff is sooo welcoming and always ready to help. What I loved most was the free salsa group classes 6x a week and I even took private classes which I can only recommend! Gracias para todo <3

Let’s start with I feel like I was in a jungle frogs chirping everywhere. I understand that I’m visiting a different country and there might be wildlife. I got that part but when you walk into the unit and there’s no air-conditioning to block out the noise in windows it’s basically like living in a campsite and you can hear everything outside. You was not gonna sleep with the animals making noise the bed you can feel the metal on the frame of the mattress. The cabinets in the bathroom cracked open. There was no way you can put anything in there. There was no closet. There was a one ceiling fan in the top with a suspicious area that it could’ve been Bats or owls nesting in there. So how could I feel safe if I fell asleep on a metal bed and then a bat or some type of wildlife attack me in the middle of the night it just didn’t feel safe. There was no hot water no air-conditioning like I mentioned it was 90°. I walked into the facility, walked into the room, escorted by the front desk and checked right out I never slept there. I didn’t stay there not even an hour. I went back to the front desk and tell the lady I wish to get a refund for my money I spent $425 plus American dollars USD and she said I cannot get a refund so I spent that money for nothing meanwhile I did not sleep at all so I understand they have policies but I had just finished Pain Booking.com has to do something for me. I’ve been a long time guest of this app and this is the worst experience I’ve ever had Booking.com. I expect you to do something for me getting my money back. This is a good place if you’re 18 or 21 years old and you live in La Vida Loca I’m a grown man 57 years old and I definitely never visited Woodstock!

Advertisements of a nightly salsa class are false. They only hold the class if 6+ people (a lot in a small hostel) want to do it. So you can’t count on the class. Staff are not informed on advertised nights out etc and generally don’t seem super engaged.

Quiero destacar especialmente a Valentina por su amabilidad, atención y profesionalismo; hizo que mi estadía fuera aún mejor. Además, todo el personal fue muy cordial, atento y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Sin duda, volvería a hospedarme aquí

Ma chambre donnait sur l’espace principal et mal insonorisé, la porte ne se fermait pas bien contre totalement donc j’entendais tout. Je n’ai pas trouvé qu’elle inspirait la propreté non plus. Le petit déjeuner était très basique mais fait maison par des volontaires.
