The Lab Hotel & Apartments

This place is located about 10 to 15 minutes walk from the train station. The bus number one can take you to the hotel in about five minutes. The bus and train systems are very good and can take you to any place around in minutes. There is a really nice park right across the street from the hotel. The staff was very accommodating. You also get free panorama card, which gives you discounts on lots of local attractions and bus fares.

If you’re looking for a comfort, this is not a place. This place is very minimalistic. One thing I did not like at all is the fact that the windows do not have screens. At night, he might get eaten by mosquitoes.

Hotel area is nice, there is park and lake very close. Rooms were modern and clean. Nice surprise was a water machine at the ground floor. Definetly not a normal hotel, more like school campus vibes.

Only thing we missed was A/C. Already when we checked in, the room was so warm. We hoped that it would cool down at night with windows open, but unfortunately not. Also a fan didn't make much difference.

A nice 20 min walk to the city centre, easy access by bus as well. Bathroom was very clean, and there is a small desk to use as well.

The bed was not comfortable, and the pillows were extremely thin. The windows did not have insect screens - given the proximity to the lake, and the need to keep windows open during hot summers, this would be a good addition.

Very friendly staff - we had the feeling that they enjoy working there. The room was clean and modern. Guest card for free public transport in the area. E-charging station in the underground garage. Very good value for money considering the touristic location and usual Swiss prices.

You are in the wrong place there if you search for an authentic Thun old town experience. Though this should be obvious for anyone by having a look at the hotel description & pictures

Le logement est très bien situé, avec un arrêt de bus juste en face qui permet d’aller en ville en moins de 10 minutes et gratuit grâce au pass montreux que met à disposition le personnel à la réception lors de l’arrivée. La chambre était très propre, confortable. Le parking sur place est payant 15 CHF par jour

We had a marvelous stay! The location was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to make our vacation exceptional. We had a room upgrade and the head of front of desk was kind and super helpful. Another staff member gave us umbrellas on the house when we left in the rain!

Gut ausgestattet Zimmer, freundliches Personal

Ein Loch von einer Unterkunft. Wir nannten sie Bunker.

Muffig, staubig, voller Spinnweben. Ein Bunker von einer Wohnung. Die Bilder auf Booking täuschen extrem.

La chambre, le personnel, le petit déjeuner. L'emplacement est top, proche du lac et des tp.

Die Lage war sehr gut. Frühstück hatten wir keines gebucht, deshalb können wir dies nicht beurteilen.

Das Zimmer wurde nur für eine Person ausgestattet. Wir hatten für zwei Personen gebucht. Es war nur 1 Kopfkissen, 1 Bettdecke und 1 Duschtuch vorhanden. Als wir dies der Mitarbeiterin am nächsten Tag mitteilten, meinte Sie, dass wir abends um 23.00 Uhr ja noch hätten telefonieren können, dann hätten Sie uns dies noch gebracht. Wohl verstanden, die Rezeption war um diese Zeit nicht mehr bedient und wie hätten wir wissen sollen, dass man Sie dennoch telefonisch erreichen kann? Wir hätten erwartet, dass uns dann wenigstens die Parkgebühren erlassen worden wären. Dies hat uns geärgert.

Manque d'un mini frigo. Notre chambre était bien située au 2ème étage mais certaines chambres du rez-de-chaussée donnaient moins envie (manque d'intimité)

Der Papierkorb war voll als wir das Zimmer bezogen haben...

Gute Lage, direkt an der Bushaltestelle (allerdings auch etwas lärmig wegen der Strasse). Zimmer neu renoviert, grosse Dusche, einigen Stauraum. Fenster lassen sich gut öffnen. Frühstück gut mit sehr gutem Brot und feinem Kaffee. Die Auswahl allgemein war nicht üppig aber ausreichend (Preis CHF 24.00 eher am oberen Limit, aber ok für Schweizer Verhältnisse).

Wir haben ein Easy Zimmer gebucht, weil wir ein Doppelbett wollten. Wir bekamen ein Zimmer mit Hochbett, was bedeutete, dass wir vier Tritte hoch klettern mussten (wir sind zum Glück fit, wenn auch ü60). Davon stand nichts in der Ausschreibung, auch sind diese Zimmer hier auf keiner Foto ersichtlich. Das könnte also für gewisse Gäste schwierig sein. Zudem gibt es praktisch keine Steckdosen, nicht mal beim Schreibtisch und keine Leselampen oberhalb im Bett, nur eine grelle Deckenlampe. Teppich war eher schmuddelig.

Keine Klimaanlage In Teilen Charme einer Jugendherberge (Frühstücksraum, Gemeinschaftsbereiche, Einbaumöbel) Zum Frühstück alles da - aber auch nicht mehr (zB kein Rührei, wenig Müesliauswahl - nur eine Milchsorte, wenig Wurstauswahl) - keine veganen Alternativen)

Gute Lage und sehr freundliches Personal. Frühstück reichhaltig und frisch. Zimmer gut ausgestattet, einzig Bügel für Hosen fehlen. Ist aber nicht weiter schlimm. Kommen gerne wieder.

Zimmer zur Strasse bei offenem Fenster laut. Ab 6 Uhr viel Verkehr. Bushaltestelle gegenüber. An-und Abfahrt.

Booked a double room for two people with breakfast included but somehow the room was only equipped for one person (single duvet, had to ask for extra towels and pillows), and breakfast was still extra - 24 francs per person and not even any hot food on the buffet. And the guest cards which were supposed to arrive by email never materialised. All in all an expensive business for a not very comfortable night...
