Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Everything was clean, tidy, and well maintained. The room was comfortable and pleasant, and the hotel had a nice atmosphere. Overall, we had a very good stay and were satisfied with the service.
There was no kettle in the room, which was inconvenient, especially for making tea. It would be nice to have a kettle available for guests.

Reviewed Sep 11, 2026Gute Lage zum Kongresszentrum. Die kleinen, einfach eingerichteten Zimmer sind sauber und ordentlich - was wirklich benötigt wird funktioniert und ist vorhanden.
Für zwei Personen könnten die Zimmer aufgrund fehlender Ablage-/Staumöglichkeiten schon recht eng sein. Ein Fön im Zimmer wurde vermisst.

Reviewed Sep 11, 2026Netter Concierge, erstaunlich ruhiges Zimmer (wenn man das Fenster zulässt), gute Duschkabine mit wirklich warmen Wasser. Zimmer ist schlüssellos mit Türcode.
Etwas seltsame Anordnung der Steckdosen im Zimmer: eine direkt zwischen Zimmertür und Toilette, eigentlich für kaum etwas verwendbar. Eine weitere direkt am Waschbecken, eine (nur auf einer Seite) am Doppelbett, zwei am Schreibtisch, die aber für TV und eine Lampe belegt waren. Laden von Laptop und Handy ging so nur etwas mühsam.

One of the receptionists' poor English skills led to a misunderstanding and unfavorable solutions regarding invoicing. The problem was reported before the proforma invoice was issued and before payment was made upon arrival. I was assured that the matter would be resolved two days later by a competent person, but this person informed me that nothing could be done, which meant I was misled. With a little empathy and English skills, the problem could have been resolved before payment on the first day, especially since I received a proforma invoice upon payment. I received the correct invoice via email on the day of departure due to system changes at 6:30 AM; checkout was at 6:10 AM. Breakfast was slightly better on the weekend (fruit, yogurt), but more sparingly during the week, and the same every day. The double beds were the main reason we chose this hotel. Unfortunately, they are so narrow, designed for very small people, that they cannot be separated, and they are also incredibly hard.

The receptionist person made me wait an hour since the room wasn't clean. The toilet looks like a hospital. Not clean. Breakfast was worse. This should be your last choice when looking to stay near Aachen Center. I never check in to this hotel in the future.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026Very quiet hotel with comfortable beds, friendly staff and good breakfasts. The air con coped well with 36C temperatures, and I had the best night's sleep I've had in a hotel for a long time.
Very expensive for the size/quality of room. No hair dryer in the room. Bunk bed over the main bed meant you needed to be careful you didn't hit your head. Wardrobe was just a very short length of pipe which sloped slightly downwards and regularly deposited all our clothes on the floor.

We were going to the CHIO stadium every day and the free shuttle stopped right outside so we were very happy with that Staff were very helpful and despite other reviews, available on site in the day time and evening Breakfast is a reasonable spread of bread, pastries, scrambled eggs, cereal etc and you can have as much or little as you like Walkable in 10 mins to the old town and 15 mins to the station or regular buses outside
The bedding is a little worn and the original pillows were flat and hard but when we asked for 2 more they were supplied without question. Likewise towels a little worn but they changed them every other day The shower and basin in the room is a little odd for a twin but we managed Not the nicest part of town but perfectly safe

Reviewed Aug 15, 2026My wife and I had a wonderful time at IBIS Budget Hotel in Aachen during our vacation there. This is a well-run hotel! It is certainly budget - no gym, no pool, etc - but the basics are all very well executed. The room was clean and well-designed so that even though it is small, we found space for everything including my wife's numerous beauty products. Breakfast was healthy, tasty, and all-you-can-eat buffet style, and the staff were friendly and helpful! AC included too :)
Despite it's efficient layout, the room felt a little small for us, but for the price we are not disappointed.

Il bagno è l'unico grande problema della stanza. Il wc è in un piccolo stanzino, mentre il lavandino e la doccia sono direttamente dentro la stanza, senza alcuna separazione dal letto. Va comunque detto che la ventola della doccia era molto efficace perché non si formava umidità. Senza saperlo, abbiamo prenotato appena prima di un grande evento sportivo, quindi forse i prezzi erano alti per questo, altrimenti il rapporto qualità/prezzo è deludente

Friendly people, the room was clean, everything I needed was there; proper bed, nice shower, airco. I can't comment on the breakfast since I didn't take it in the hotel. The location wrt the center of the city is excellent, as is the fact that a reasonably priced public parking garage is literally located underneath the hotel.

Reviewed Jun 25, 2026The room has everything needed for a smooth stay. They changed my towels daily, the bes was comfortable and the location is excellent, 10 min walk to Eurogress, were my event was taking place, and 15 min to the Old Town.
I guess this can also be positive depending on the person, but the check-in process is made by a machine at the entrance, I did not interact with any staff whatsoever in all my stay.

Ausstattung der Zimmer minimalistisch. Es gibt keinen Schrank oder andere Ablage und deshalb muss man alles im Koffer/Rucksack lassen. Umgebung in der Nacht teilweise recht laut.

Die Klimaanlage hat die ganze Zeit über funktioniert und konnte nicht ausgeschaltet werden. Laut dem Mitarbeiter sind die Temperaturen sehr wechselhaft und zuletzt war es zu warm. Ich sollte zwei Nächte in einem eiskalten Zimmer schlafen. Der Mitarbeiter hat keine Lösung angeboten, sondern lediglich gesagt, dass es viele Beschwerden gibt, wir aber nichts ändern können, da die Temperaturen wohl nächste Woche wieder steigen.
