Not a lot, parking was good
Look I'm a seasoned traveler for work and this is one of the poorest places I've stayed in Shower runs from scolding to freezing every 10 seconds so could not shower. TV remote did not work, batteries were fine but it just wasn't programmed (luckily my firestick remote was programmed for a Samsung TV) Desk looked like it had chicken pox. Pungent smell as I walked into the room which instantly gave me a feeling the rooms are cleaned to a very low standard Stains on the carpet Green light throughout the night was FAR too bright Teas and coffee looked like it was thrown at the tray JUST RUBBISH FULL STOP
The bed was not fit to sleep on. If you wanted springs in every part of your back then this is the place. It was that uncomfortable we had no sleep and left a night early. Not a sole anywhere to help with anything except a mobile number to use. They was strange nosies happening and lights were coming on and off and no one had walked by. I have contacted site via mobile and email for assistance and have nothing back regarding my concerns Do not stay here. Needs major investment in improving room facilities
Simple room only rate with car parking. The instructions are clear. The room is clean, quiet, and spacious.
There's no fridge in the room. Check-in instructions only arrived by email on the day, which would've been a problem if I lost internet connection. It would be helpful to tell guests in advance that it's all self-service and provide most of the details (except the passcodes) in advance.
as expected, no issues
I stayed here a few months ago, so knew what to expect. The location for me is perfect as I was visiting my family who live nearby. There is no reception, so entry is by access codes which are sent to you by text prior to arrival. Travelling solo, my room was a single (No 16) and was the same room as my first visit. It is quite narrow but long and spacious enough for my needs. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom has a decent size shower. There was ample storage, together with the usual tea/coffee making facilities and TV. I have not seen any of the other rooms so cannot comment on them, but I am happy enough to recommend Whiteley Mill and will be returning again later this year. It has now become my 'go to' accommodation when visiting family and friends in the area.
nothing
the fact that the room didnt have a child bed as advertised, and then the customer services guy literally abused us on the phone!
The staff were very accommodating allowing us to access a room early from the 4 we booked to get ready before a wedding. Clear instructions for check in, tea and coffee provided in room and very clean.
The shower in our room was either really hot or cold and the room was very warm, we should’ve had the window open!
Easy to follow check in information Very helpful when experienced an issue
When arrived TV didn't work and shower cubicle not as clean as i would have liked Called the support number ... Extremely helpful and moved my room ... Very clean and acceptable thank you 😊
No staff on duty just a phone to call the office
No none slip shower mate in the shower cubicle
Extra pillows
Flat pillows
As I am disabled I drive a Long Wheelbase Transit to carry my electric wheelchair and hoist. There was plenty of room to park it without compromising others.
It was very hot when I stayed and very difficult to reach the window to open it. Also, there was no shelf to put bathroom items on both near the basin or in the shower cubicle. Addressing these issues would make things so much better.
Location and shower
WIFI not good, most of the 2 night stay it wouldnt connect and when it did it was very weak .
It was very good value, close to amenities, amply parking
I have an electric car and I didn’t know where the nearest charger were
Well priced and good location
As above
Very convenient for visiting relatives. Close to shops & eating places. Very reasonably priced
Nothing
Stapleford is a typical commuter town. It has good bus and tram access into Nottingham, but also has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants close to the hotel. My room was a small, very clean, single room. It's great to be able to get a low-cost single room in a hotel.
The car parking is a little confusing. A sign says clamping is in operation, but there's no way to register your vehicle as belonging to a hotel guest. Staff at the adjoining offices assured me that I would be fine to leave my car. Some people may also be put off by the ground floor room window looking over the car park, as you need to draw the curtains for privacy.
Although quite a basic accommodation, its very clean and has tea and coffee making facilities. The location was ideal for our stay(cricket) and perfect for the tram P&R.
Nothing.
Great location & has exactly what is needed for a small stay. We had a slight problem with our towels, however staff were very responsive and straight over to help us!
Rooms are very spacious. Lots of parking. Easy to get in and out using the codes that were given. Beds were comfortable
The shower was really hard to get to the correct temperature. TV remote didn't work very well. Stains on the carpet
Convenient for our trip, great location
Clean and fit for purpose, couldn't fault for the price
Toilet or sink leaked a little but nothing detrimental
Comfortable, clean room , easy entry , good parking , quiet . Good value for money . Would definitely use again when in the area .
Budget hotel, quiet location, convenient free parking. Unstaffed but easy to get key.
Shower was poor - electric shower with homemade warning attached to avoid scalding hot water- "don't use on high power". General feeling was old and tired - thin flattened old pillows, cheap old carpet and furniture.
Easy to find and amenities were just as stated
Mattress wasn’t very comfortable
Location had a variety of places to see / buy groceries/eat.
All the codes ...
Room was good for couple days stay, had everything you need. Easy check in , good location. Good value for the money.
The only problem was the room was not being cleaned. We were confused why no one was cleaning room or changing towels since this is a hotel. We stayed for 3 nights so expected cleaning to be done at least once with towel change.
Easy to manage entry great carpark
The bed itself. Not enough cushioning between top of matress. I could feel the springs and that made it difficult to sleep
The beds were comfortable
The filthy shower room The room door lock was very unreliable. It took a few attempts to lock it when we went out!
De ligging
Het was niet schoon,
It was very conveniently located. It felt very secure and safe. Very clean and well kept. We were able to have rooms near each other which worked out well. The rooms were very spacious.
Nothing
Value for money stay. Room was comfortable, thr location was good.
I struggled to open the key box. The shower head was a bit dirty.
Hotel every close to Aldi store.
Bed was clean and comfortable, tv was adequate for my needs
There was a strange smell in the room and some areas could do with more attention to cleanliness. The shower cubicle where the door slides could do with a good clean.
clean. quiet.
No staff. sole less.
The only thing I can say is the fact it had free parking.
It was really dirty, there were stains on the carpet and bottom of the bed, there were dead flies in the kettle and the smell of my room and well the whole place was sickening, we had 3 rooms between us and one of the showers was unusable due to the mould on the shower head. It did have ironing facilities but the ironing board cover had had stains on it the iron cord was filthy the bed was uncomfortable and made me itch. If I had had not had to be there for an event I would have walked straight back out and found somewhere else.
Clean and tidy. Free Parking always a bonus. Comfortable bed
Some of the furniture a bit tired. But not really an issue and didn't affect our stay
Parking
Cleanliness off the room Cleanliness of the shower
Location good for our trip. Rooms were lovely and cool over the really hot period. Close to restaurants and a supermarket next door.
Nothing of note
Lots of parking & on main road
Lots of numbers to get in plus key box number then another door to key in number
Instructions to obtain room key were easy to understand. Room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Ideal for our needs.
Nothing to report
The booking process was straightforward; the contact from the property regarding what to do on arrival to access keys was clear and succinct and, importantly, worked successfully. The room was clean, there were the things mentioned in the specifications. The bed could've been more comfortable, but that's a subjective view. It was easy to access the property, there was plenty of parking and, overall, the location was excellent.
There was nothing I didn't like but perhaps the 'Information Pack' should be more regularly updated
Always nice and clean t
Location and price. It worked out £65 to £120 cheaper than other hotels in the area and was in a good location for our needs
It had a strange plaster smell in the bathroom, mattress needs replacing and the place had a care home feel about it. However for what we paid we feel it was value for money but with a few changes and minor updates they could charge more.
Strange smell in room, shelves full of dust
Good location room very clean and bed comfy
Secure, big car park. 5min drive from m1. Great value and clean. Aldi 2min walk away.
Worst pillows ever!
It’s as basic a room as you could get. No staff means no personal touch or welcome. Bed was probably the least comfy mattress I have slept in at a hotel. Served a purpose as a room to sleep in for a couple of nights but not one for the romantics.
Mattress! So so bad, considered sleeping on the floor.
Didn't see a soul but hotel was perfect for what we needed. Comfy bed and basic facilities but excellent for the price.
Nothing
Easy key pickup. Good location.
Dated decor.
Expertly cleaned, beautifully presented and a lovely bathroom! All in the vicinity of shops, private parking and great motorway accessibility
A lack of option to resupply coffee in room. Everything else was top notch.
Very good price and location. Comfortable and practicable. Self service check in was obvious.
Easy to find. Easy to park. Clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed.
The bedside light didn't work (blown bulb?). The TV didn't work.
The room was clean and comfortable with good facilities. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and hope to do so in the next few weeks.
Nothing. Do not book here unless you are satisfied with dirty bedding, filthy bathrooms and grubby accommodation.
We left the property as the condition was so poor. We called them to sort it out and give them the opportunity to organise suitable alternatives but they didn’t and are now refusing a refund; avoid at all costs.
Stayed there before in a single and twin room Large rooms very comfy bed and very clean Large hot shower and good towels. Big telly, tea and coffee making. Good car park
Nothing
Good for one night, comfortable beds
Bathroom cleaning needs attention, especially around shower doors
Convenient Good location
Cleaner opened my locked door, told me to get out one day before my check out, she got this wrong. No apologies from her and in the end she didn't even clean my room
The only thing that could be Improved really was the brightness or quality of bulbs in bedside table light apart from that excellent value
Convinent and easy to access
Spacious enough
Good price and location
Good sized room, good parking, clean and fairly comfortable. I have stayed here numerous times and it is great value for money overall.
The WiFi is a bit iffy and sometimes the bathroom drains smell.
Rooms with kingsize beds can be hard to find, so we were very happy to have found that here. The bed was comfortable, there was a double window, both of which could be opened for air, and when closed kept the noise from the street out very effectively. There was also a radiator you could use easily, which we appreciated very much on the cold days of our stay. Everything was clean and they'd even put some pretty decoration on the wall. There is no staff at the hotel, but everything works well with codes and feels safe. There is a vending machine for snacks and drinks in the hallway. It was also pleasantly quiet in the hotel (we were there during the week, so couldn't tell if it's the same at weekends).
Did not have breakfast
Nothing
The accommodation was great and the arrival process absolutely faultless. The beds were comfortable and clean and we had a brilliant stay.
There was a tiny drain smell in the bathroom. It didn't bother us too much but if I was staying longer I htink it would have
Excellent signage/ information for getting inside the property. Extra lobby door security . Something I value as it isn't always the case ! Plenty of power points . The room lighting was good too.
Just be aware that this place isn't manned. I think there could be an issue with women feeling insecure in the one corridor leading to all the rooms once you've entered the property , past the lobby area with all the lockboxes. There is no staff to turn to at all. The hotel is just one long corridor with one room after another.
Simplicity of check in
The thread bare holes in towels, let the stay down

Basic facilities which is okay for a short stay, big room.
Big dip in mattress which was very uncomfortable, dust on bedside tables and dirty bathroom/shower floor (hair).
Very basic, could have done with a refrigerator.
Bit hard to find, would have been better to have separated the mill and put 39 Nottingham Road.
I like the room and spacious overall, especially with a big shower room and the location.
Nothing
Room was clean, reasonably quiet and close to where I needed to be. Bedding smelt fresh and clean. Good supply of tea/coffee.
It was dark when I arrived and entry for me was a problem but quickly resolved with a phone call. The hideous decor gives off an overwhelming youth hostel vibe. My room was on the ground floor which I generally don't like and the blinds in my single room didn't work so I had to keep the curtains closed for privacy from people walking by to go into apartments. There was no mattress protector and the mattress itself had seen better days. Instructions for the heated towel rail were clear but it didn't work. No instructions for the room heater and it was only by accident that I found the fused switch hidden behind the bedding. Unfortunately this was as I was about the leave, so a cold start to the day. The TV was mounted on a wall which made it impossible to view comfortably. Given that you can get a Premier Inn room for as little as £39 on a good day, this room was overpriced. I hate to give negative reviews but I keep being asked for this so I assume the owners really want to know what I think.
Clean comfy no hassle..
A very functional room with a comfortable bed, great parking in the town centre, and very secure access. The instructions provided were clear and easy to follow
I couldn't use the chair to work at the desk because the seat was so broken.
very cheap compared to other options, very straight forward getting the keys, decent room size,
only 2 pillows for a king bed, how the parking works was not made clear, only 1 towel provided for 2 people over 2 nights, the bed sheet was put on poorly we had to redo it ourselves.
