Süßes Hotel mit total schön eingerichteten Zimmern. Wir haben ein kostenloses Upgrade für das Familienzimmer erhalten, welches wie eine kleine Ferienwohnung war. Sehr gut ausgestattet und es gab alles was man so braucht. Der Pool war auf dem Dach und man hatte eine schöne Aussicht auf die Umgebung. Das Personal war einfach nur super. Uns wurde bei allem Tipps gegeben und als unsere Tochter krank wurde und wir einen Tag verlängern mussten, haben sich alle ganz toll um uns gekümmert. Das Frühstück war klasse, vor allem die selbstgemachten Aufstriche. Wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt und würden das Hotel zu 1000% weiter empfehlen und jederzeit wieder buchen

Wat hebben we een geweldig verblijf gehad bij Chrissie’s hotel! Dit was zonder twijfel het fijnste verblijf dat we tijdens onze reis door India hebben gehad. De locatie is prachtig, de kamers zijn schoon en comfortabel en het eten is heerlijk. Maar uiteindelijk zijn het vooral de medewerkers die ons verblijf zo bijzonder hebben gemaakt. Iedereen is ontzettend vriendelijk, behulpzaam en servicegericht. Ze zijn warm en gastvrij en weten precies hoe ze ervoor kunnen zorgen dat je je welkom voelt en helemaal kunt ontspannen. We zijn ontzettend blij dat we hier hebben verbleven en zouden dit hotel absoluut aan iedereen aanraden!

The hotel alone is worth a visit in Thekkady! Surrounded by nature, we could spot monkeys, squirrels and birds from our balcony. Kind and helpful staff (they offered us a welcome cocktail as well!), continental breakfast, perfect position close to the city centre but in a lower-traffic road. Yoga sessions and a rooftop pool are also available but we couldn't take advantage due to the lack of time. Absolutely recommended!

Wonderful stay at Chrissie's hotel in Thekkady, with the Adel and the rest of the management and staff going above and beyond to ensure my stay at the hotel and my time in Periyar went smoothly, with the tour taken care of immediately when checking in. Breakfast was also exceptional, special mention to their homemade peanut butter!

We hadden een geweldige kamer, tussen de boomtoppen. Zelfs een paar keer apen op ons balkon. De eigenaar sprak heel goed engels en was zeer vriendelijk. Hij gaf ons tips over de omgeving en regelde een dag met excursies naar de theeplantages en kruidentuin. Er was een restaurant bij wat de gehele dag open was. heerlijk eten en heel handig.

Chrissie’s is a fabulous place to stay. The room and the bed were very comfortable. The balcony gave us fantastic views of the fantastic wildlife in the garden . The staff were extremely attentive and sorted out our excursions and onward travel. The restaurant was very good and offered a wide choice of cuisine. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful when dealing with travellers - excellent service. They helped arrange a last minute walking tour in the national park. Location was excellent, very close to the sights, but in a serene setting with lots of animals and birds in the trees so it felt very relaxed. Rooms were basic but spotless. Restaurant served good lunch and breakfast. Great value for money.

Fan only - having aircon would be more comfortable. Beds were a little small.

The team at Chrissie’s were simply brilliant at welcoming me and ensuring I felt at home. There is absolutely nothing negative to say about my stay at Chrissie’s ; I already am wishing and hoping to return one day. Beautiful views, surrounded by wildlife, lovely swimming pool, delicious large breakfasts and beautiful comfortable rooms. The reception team helped my book my tickets for local attractions, and advised me on how to get to Periyar Tiger Reserve. And I was even allowed to come back to the hotel to shower and unwind after the experience, even though I’d already checked out! Definitely book at Chrissie’s, you’ll feel right at home.

I had no particular expectations for our stay in Kumily; the place was simply meant to serve as a base for visiting the national park. But after checking in and leaving the lobby and restaurant area for the actual hotel building, we unexpectedly found ourselves in a veritable Garden of Eden. The rooms of this uniquely designed hotel are set back from the street and overlook the truly impressively landscaped rainforest garden. We had a large room on one of the upper floors and thoroughly enjoyed the view, complete with the sounds of nature, and watched squirrels, hornbills, racket-tailed drongos, and more. The hotel management and staff are very welcoming and helpful in many ways. The menu at the restaurant, partly located on the rooftop terrace, was also a pleasant surprise, given the owner's background, and the food, as well as the breakfast, was excellent. There's also a small pool and a lounge area on the fifth-floor rooftop terrace, offering panoramic views of the town. The entrance to the national park is also easily accessible. The town's shops and restaurants (Vishwas Pure Veg was great) are easily accessible on foot. Parking is also available.

The service was brilliant. The hotel was very clean and the food was delicious. We especially loved the homemade jams and peanut butter for breakfast. Great value for money.

Die Lage ist perfekt. Zu Fuß nur ein paar Minuten von der Busstation entfernt Viele Restaurants, Gewürzgärten, Geschäfte, Ayurvedische Massagen, Kathakali Center in Fussnähe. Das gesamte Team ist äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vom wunderschönen Balkon aus, kann man den Affen, beim Klettern zuschauen. Es gibt eine Dachterrasse mit kleinem Pool und herrlichem Blick. Ein Café mit leckerem Essen steht zur Verfügung. Das Frühstück mit frischem Obst, Yoghurt, Honig und verschiedenen selbstgemachten Marmeladen und Brot. Omelette und typisch indische Frühstücksvariante. Alles sehr lecker.

Die Jeepsafari war enttäuschend. Wir haben keinen einzigen Elefant gesehen.

Location is good just out of town but walkable. The block of rooms is surrounded by trees and plants and it’s possible to see wildlife. We saw and heard lots of birds, monkeys, a giant squirrel and butterflies from our room very spacious varanda. Our room was on the top and floor..The reception and restaurant is located in a different building , short walking distance from the rooms. The breakfast like everybody mentioned is brilliant and the restaurant serves nice food too. We attend walking in yoga lessons and enjoyed that. The owner and all the staff were welcoming and a good source of information; we booked the trips to the reserve with them which was hassle free and saved us time searching. We enjoyed a lot more the walk in the afternoon than the trip on the boat in very early morning. We liked the small town, Kumilly too. Ah, almost forgot the swmming pool which is nice too with a good area to hang around.

I didnt like the bedding being a dark colour. I prefer it when is white, but maybe it’s me being fussy. That wouldn’t stop me going back.

Service was absolutely fantastic and attention to detail was appreciated. Everything was very clean, easy and we enjoyed watching the monkeys.

De vriendelijkheid en het meedenken met alles van safari's regelen tot aan elke ochtend een pot warm water om 6 uur voor elke deur zodat je koffie of thee kan drinken smorgens en vroege ochtend ontbijten voor de safari's De kamers zijn zeer schoon en je wordt smorgens lekker wakker van de vogels en apen wat heerlijk is!

Het ‘team’ van de receptie regelt echt alles (excursies, transport, glutenvrij eten) voor je. Je hebt een onbezorgd verblijf. Ze zijn heel goed met milieu bezig: je kunt je waterfles vullen, zonnepanelen, schoonmaak op aanvraag. Goed restaurant. Klasse gewoon!

El restaurante buenísimo, la gente venía de otros hoteles a comer al nuestro (hay muchas opciones europeas), la piscina en la última planta también va fenomenal! A parte se ofrecen las clases de yoga diarias!

The accommodation was basic but clean and nice. It was in a quiet and in a peaceful location. The staff were very friendly and helpful and helped us to organise a Jeep trip which we enjoyed. Adel gave us a very warm welcome on our arrival and made sure that we were happy and comfortable. Breakfast was great and included gluten free options.

Our stay at Crissie’s Hotel was incredible! The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, and the hospitality truly stood out - especially that of the owner. Adel is one of the warmest hosts you’ll ever meet and has a remarkable ability to make your stay feel effortless and deeply relaxing. His passion for the hotel and his love for the national park are contagious! We stayed for two nights and would have absolutely extended our stay if we could. The room was very comfortable, spotless, and featured a balcony overlooking a beautiful garden. The hotel also has a fantastic restaurant with delicious food, definitely don’t miss it! The team went above and beyond to help us arrange a last-minute rafting tour, a spice plantations guided visit, secure tickets to cultural events in the village, and organize an excellent driver for our journey to Kochi. Overall, this hotel truly surpassed our expectations! We highly recommend staying here and hope to return one day! 😊

A magical place, surrounded by an exceptional garden where you can admire the region’s wildlife. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very welcoming. I was ill when I arrived, and Adel (the owner) and his entire team took wonderful care of me. They helped us from beginning to end and made sure I was safe. I am still very grateful to them for that. If you are looking for a unique place with strong values and a warm welcome, this is the place to be!

By far the best stay during our trip through India! A friend and I stayed here for three nights in total with a short break for an overnight stay in Periyar National Park. The hotel has everything you want: Nice rooms with individual artwork in every single one, balconies with a beautiful view of the garden/of forest (especially beautiful on the third floor), a pool, great Indian/Italian restaurant, yoga classes and the list goes on. But what makes this place really unique and an unforgettable experience are the heartwarmingly kind and welcoming people, who put so much effort in making the stay so special. We got help with any kind of question like visa, preparation for the Periyar Hike, train tickets and recommandations for Kumily. They even organised a surprise birthday reception and a delicious cake for my birthday when we returned from the National Park. Cannot thank you enough! A fantastic place to stay with an exceptional atmosphere, we felt welcomed from the first minute to the last one thanks to Adel and the whole team. They are extremely helpful and friendly, our room was clean and nice and we eat a very good homemade food in their restaurant. They also found us the best driver of our trip to India, we did a pleasant 5 hours journey to the south. Overall, absolutely recommended!

Everything about this hotel was fabulous! The room was comfortable and well-equipped, with a spacious balcony overlooking their amazing garden. The owners, managers and staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is amazing - there is a huge, varied menu, and everything we ate there was really, really good! I can't rate this hotel highly enough!

I had an amazing stay at Chrissie's Hotel. All staff were so friendly and helpful. I wasn't able to book my trekking in the national park through the parks website and so contacted Chrissie's via booking and they booked for me, which meant I could do the activity i wanted to do while there. That was appreciated! Also very much enjoyed all the food I had there, with hot water provided to everyone's room in the morning. You can even see wildlife right from the hotel- I had monkeys on my balcony and saw deer, owls and much more.

From the minute we arrived the staff were so so friendly. We met the owner Adel (?) on our 2nd day and he was delightful and so helpful with completely fluent English. We loved sitting on the roof terrace when we weren't out trekking. After 2 weeks eating Indian food it was a relief to finally eat some western food here for breakfast and dinner. Their peanut butter is to die for! We had an amazing yoga class there too. My only complaint was the beds were pretty hard but when I mentioned this Adel immediately arranged for some extra blankets for me to lie on - so really can't complain - than you so much Adel and team!

The property is so well decorated and maintained. The surroundings are also very enjoyable. The family room we had was spacious and had 2 balconies with a nice view. Personnel was very friendly, attentive and gave us recommendations on the places to visit and do in the vicinity.

Chrissie's Hotel is an amazing property in the middle of kumly, nicely design,unique room experience and every room has its own balcony. This property is surrounded by lots of trees and has been build eco friendly as well. They have unique cafe which serves nice breakfast and you can have lunch/dinner as well. What stands out for me is the hospitality of Anshad, Adil and anthony, they made sure we enjoy the stay with them and leave theekdy with amazing experience. I recommend this property to stay with family, friends, etc.

During our 2-week trip in India, there was no other place that made such a positive impression on us. The place has an exceptional atmosphere: we felt welcomed from the very first minute to the last one of our stay. This place is an amazing value for money. PS the breakfast was awesome, we enjoyed some continental options (including delicious home made peanut butter).

We had a wonderful stay at Chrissies. The owners are incredibly friendly, it's a beautiful hotel, very good homemade food (not just Indian and homemade bread!), very attentive service.

Dit is een verblijf die ik iedereen zou aanraden! Zowel de eigenaar als het personeel is enorm goed! Vriendelijk, kundig, kunnen goed Engels en ze begrijpen hospitality écht. Het ontbijt is lekker, er zijn allemaal huisgemaakte producten (jam, pindakaas, choladepasta, brood). Het zwembad is lekker en de kamer is ook heerlijk, ook door het balkon waar je naar alle dieren kan kijken. De dagtrekking door het park hadden we ook bij hen geboekt (zonder commissie). Dit is echt zo’n verblijf waar ik voor de eigenaar en het personeel nogmaals naar terug zou willen gaan.

Despertar con los sonidos de la selva. Todo el Staff es genial y muy amable. Adel es un host increíble y con una energía maravillosa. La comida es deliciosa, desde el desayuno hasta la cena. Las instalaciones perfectas , cama cómoda, habitación espaciosa... Sala de yoga, piscina... Puntuación 20 de 10.

Christie’s Hotel is an absolute sanctuary. Adel and his staff are warm, welcoming and go the extra mile to cater for your every need. The rooms are all decorated differently and are gorgeous. Sitting on the balcony with a cup of tea surrounded by the lunch garden was the perfect way to start the day. And if you are trekking in Periyar Tiger reserve, you can come back and cool off in the pool. The menu in the restaurant is extensive and delicious. I recommend the Kerala specialities as a place to start. We will be coming back.

Unser Aufenthalt im Chrissies war einfach toll! Wir wurden so persönlich und herzlich empfangen und betreut, die ganze Crew ist fantastisch! Die Zimmer sind individuell gestaltet und sehr sauber. A truly wonderful place, run by the most charming and caring owners. They are thoughtful, welcoming, and respectful of every moment. The food is absolutely delicious. We truly felt wrapped in a cocoon of peace and comfort, and we highly recommend this hotel to any traveler.

We had an amazing time at Chrissie’s Hotel! The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful - Adel, the owner, made us feel completely at home in the short time we were there for! The hotel itself is gorgeous and has a beautiful garden that is home to a lot of wildlife and incredible views of the mountains that you can sit and watch from your balcony. We also dined at the on site restaurant - the breakfast buffet is delicious and has a wide range available, and the menu for lunch and dinner is also great, with lovely, welcoming staff at both. We would highly recommend staying at Chrissie’s, and we had a wonderful time there!
