Abad Green Forest Thekkady

Location was great, everything was nearby, periyar tiger reserve, kathakali, kalaripayattu, food places etc. staff was very nice. The facilities and room size was good with a balcony. The bed was firm and comfortable We loved the food served, good enough breakfast spread. We loved the Kerala fish platter

We thought the couples spa package would happen in the same room together but it was separate rooms for me and my husband.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Bungalow. Alles war sehr sauber. Zur Begrüßung gab es ein Getränk. Der Pool hat von 7am zu 7 pm geöffnet. Da wir sehr spät ankamen und sehr früh wieder losgefahren sind, hat man uns genehmigt, im Pool bis 8 zu schwimmen. Das angeschlossene Restaurant hat gutes Essen zubereitet.

Indoor play area could have been made better by adding more games.

This is a lovely hotel. It is clean. The food is very nicely cooked. The pool is wonderful and very clean. The cookies they leave in the room are to die for. The balconies are secluded and private. And outside the hotel are all the amenities of the town. One of the nicest hotels that I have stayed in.

Really liked how the staff interacted with us. The food was very delicious and it was cooked perfectly. The Hotel was very close with nature and gave a tropical vibe.

The room was small for a family of 4. There could've been more amenities for the customers to partake in.

The property is in the right place with walking distance from some cultural centers, wild life sanctuary and Church. We loved the room esp with balcony with shade of trees and small animals on it :)

We recently completed a wonderful 10-day stay at Abad Green Forest in Thekkady, and I wanted to share my appreciation for the exceptional experience. Everything went smoothly throughout our visit. Ms. Shilpa at the front desk was amazing, assisting us with all our bookings and recommending high-quality, unique activities. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we truly enjoyed the local wildlife; the staff did an excellent job ensuring the animals remained at a safe distance while I captured some incredible photos. The restaurant was also excellent and prepared a very special meal for us on Easter. The restaurant staff went out of their way to make each meal special and relaxing. We found the entire staff to be attentive and helpful, meeting our every need. Everyone had a smile and a kind greeting. Additionally, the spa was outstanding—the therapist is incredibly talented, and I highly recommend her services to other guests. We also enjoyed exploring the welcoming local community. We will highly recommend Abad Green Forest to others and thank you for a memorable holiday.

Das Hotel liegt quasi im Stadtzentrum befindet sich aber in einem sehr großen Areal mit Zufahrtstraße und ist daher ausgesprochen ruhig. Der Bereich des Swimmingpools ist sehr gepflegt. Das Zimmer mit Balkon ist sehr geräumig, das Bett ist sehr bequem. Mehr als ausreichend Stauraum und Ablagefläche vorhanden. Das Badezimmer verfügt über eine abgetrennte Dusche und ist ebenfalls groß. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. WLAN funktionierte tadellos, die Beleuchtung sehr gut.

Die Auswahl für das Abendessen war aus irgendeinem Grund, den ich nicht ganz verstanden habe ziemlich eingeschränkt, weshalb ich das Angebot nur am ersten Abend in Anspruch genommen habe. Das hat aber vorzüglich geschmeckt.

Very expensive and poor quality food and they admitted that due to lpg shortages. But they charge very high price and very poor quality and less items in buffet . Booking . Com should refund my money

Nice property and good value for our money. The staff was especially friendly and there was a gang of monkeys in the swimming pool. The breakfast and dinner although simple were good enough.

Everything. Rooms were clean. Campus gave a complete natural feel. Facilities were superb.

Nothing to dislike. To add one thing, the recreation room tt ball and few chess pieces were unavailable. If you can keep it safe and maintain that, then perfect

The location is really good and only a 5 minute walk to the forest ticket office and shuttle bus. In town but is set back and very peaceful, surrounded by greenery and wildlife. Room was clean and water replenished daily. A nice patio area to watch the wildlife. The restaurant food was extremely good. We left early each day and a breakfast pack was made up each morning. The team was all very polite, friendly and helpful. A great stay and we would recommend

The WiFi wasn’t great in our room but ok in reception and restaurant area. A few power cuts but came back on quickly.

Everything was so amazing, the staff was very helpful, very stunningl Hotel, with the pool, the incredible food, the lovely animals around, very quiet and central in a same time, loved the room as well. Highly recommend

During booking the garden view room has been mentioned, but the room offered is not which we assumed through the booking. com. The outside balcony scenery which was shown during booking has not been allocated.

Hôtel bien situé, en plein centre-ville de Thekkady, dans un cadre magnifique très bien entretenu, au milieu de plantes luxuriantes. On a l'impression d'être en pleine nature. Jolie Piscine. Grande chambre très confortable et propre. Bon restaurant, Très grand buffet avec énormément de choix. On a beaucoup aimé l’ensemble de l’hébergement, on recommande vivement !

Petit-déjeuner bien fourni en plats indiens mais limité en "continental" …bien sûr on est en Inde !!

Location was awesome, close to everything. Staff were very efficient and prepared take-away breakfast for us when we had an early morning hike. Loved seeing the monkeys in the trees from our room.

Room was damp, smelled of mould. Bed was very hard.

Fine location on the edge of town and greenery and very close to the Reserve. Excellent complimentary breakfast. Large and beautifully set swimming pool. Monkeys everywhere (if you like monkeys) Very comfortable huge bed.

Due to risk of monkey access, one has to keep the room mostly closed, making it hard to ventilate. Though there are safe boxes at Reception, a keycode safe actually in the room is really important and this was an omission. Bedside light on only one side. No hot water in the evenings. The Resort is good value but showing signs of age. Bathroom especially needs renovation. The excellent staff redeem most things, however

The forest ambience is awesome, including the black monkeys. There's a lot of staff managing the premises and grounds. We couldn't have breakfast because we had stomach issues. So the manager went out of the way to get us ginger lemon soda, and another associate helped us package our toast.

Staff especially Jittin from reception, very nice manner. Restaurant food was good and nice staff. Location, convenient for park trips and lively streets and shops.

It was a quiet oasis in bustling Kumily. Good rooms and restaurant. Staff were excellent particularly reception team.

There was nothing we didn’t like but it doesn’t have an alcohol license.

Unfortunately communication with the staff was a problem, I booked the hotel for its location to Perriya National park. We spoke to people who had not seen any wildlife on a boat trip, so we asked if we could go in by vehicle safari & we were told it was not possible? After we left the hotel, we met a couple who had been into the park by vehicle which we were most upset about.

We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the monkeys swing from the trees. The staff were very helpful.
