Thank you so much to Leanne, Tim, and Talon for having me at Ombak Resort. Honestly one of the best places I’ve stayed in my life, and I mean that. The room was spacious, quiet, and set in a beautiful location. The food was fantastic, and the restaurant has such a great social vibe, with a pool table and an easy way to meet people, which I really appreciated as a solo traveller. The coffee was machine made and delicious, which is a rarity/ treat in ekas. The staff were all so friendly, accommodating, and helpful, full of great advice and surf tips. Tim’s knowledge was outstanding, and his background as a surfboard shaper came in handy when I damaged my board during the trip. Boat out every day, unbeatable holiday vibes. An amazing stay. Thanks again guys, I can’t wait to come back! 🙌

I loved it all

This was our 2nd stay here and once again we had a wonderful time. Leanne, Tim and Talon were just as welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. Ombak is a lovely place to stay.....with a really chilled vibe. Once again we met some great fellow travellers from all over the world. Our room was really clean and comfortable. The restaurant was great, we especially enjoyed the coffee and scrambled eggs for breakfast. The location is amazing.....although we are not surfers we enjoyed exploring the area. The nearby beaches are great for swimming and relaxing and there are also some nice local warungs nearby. Would thoroughly recommend staying here....we will definitely come back!

The location is elevated, surrounded by farmland and a short walk downhill to the tiny village and beach. The gardens are lovely and the pool offered a refreshing dip, although it was too shallow for a dive. Breakfasts were varied and very good, while the lunch and dinner menus were varied and generous, if just a bit more expensive than usual. Staff were lovely and the owners helpful in whatever way was needed. If one wished, there were a number of warungs and homestays nearby where you could experience a different vibe.&!&

Our only suggestion would be to have some sort of privacy screening, even temporary bamboo screens, between the verandas of the rooms, which were quite close together.

Un petit coin de paradis qu'il a été difficile de quitter ce matin! Tout était parfait: la chambre parfaitement équipée et spacieuse, la salle d'eau très agréable, le jardin et la piscine et les espaces communs, ultra chaleureux. L'emplacement tout près de la plage à pied et la propreté du lieu sont également un vrai plus. Tout cela est rendu possible grâce à Lee Ann, Tallon et Tim ainsi que l'ensemble du personnel, qui sont tous d'une grande gentillesse. Nous avons adoré rencontrer et partager des moments avec les différents voyageurs, en rentrant du surf ou le soir en dînant. Les cours de surf étaient géniaux, parfaitement organisés, tout comme les massages. Nous reviendrons à Ekas, et sans hésitation à Ombak Resort.

El hotel está muy bien, es tranquilo y muy familiar. Parece que estás en tu casa realmente. Al lado de la playa para coger el bote que te lleva a Inside Ekas. El personal es maravilloso y atento. Pendientes de que no te falte de nada. Tim y Li Ane son estupendos. En el restaurante puedes comer variedad de platos tanto desayuno, comida y cena y la comida de buena calidad y muy buen precio. Lo mejor de la zona y muy buen ambiente

Clean well appointed rooms, nice restaurant food and above all the staff. Tim and Leanne and the team do a great job looking after everyone , it feels like family. Also a great selection of boards to hire, the Mc Tavish I used was excellent. Van trips to the close beach and boat rides to the break twice a day included.

We had such a unique and memorable stay at Ekas Ombak Resort. From the moment we arrived, Tim, Leanne and Tallan made us feel so welcome – they are genuinely wonderful people who create such a friendly and social atmosphere. My husband absolutely loved the curated surfboard selection and rental opportunities. Being able to try different boards, including a longboard, made the experience even more special. Tim even took the time to fix a chip in my stepdad’s board, which was incredibly appreciated. The resort has such a lovely sense of community, with plenty of opportunities to connect with other guests. The surf trips were seamless too, with transfers by driver and boat straight to the break, making every session easy and enjoyable. The food was fantastic, and what we loved most was the slow-paced, relaxed vibe of the resort. It’s the perfect place to unwind, surf, and truly switch off from the outside world. We left feeling refreshed, connected, and already dreaming about coming back. Thank you, Ekas Ombak, for such a special experience!

The only small improvement we would suggest would be the bedding. We found the bed a little uncomfortable and would have loved a mattress topper and a thicker blanket rather than the thin sheet and cover provided. Aside from that, we were incredibly content and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had an amazing stay for 4 nights. Traveled with a friend for a surfing trip. Resort is great - 8 individual rooms in quiet location - beds and facilities are high quality as is the included breakfast. We long boarded and the quality of the advice from Tim and the boards for hire were top notch. From the resort Tim drives you to Ekas beach which is only a few minutes away and then you have the option of an awesome beach break or taking their boat to inside Ekas. Both phenomenal breaks! There are also other warungs within walking distance which we also frequented. Overall a fantastic experience and would highly recommend

Excellent stay at Ombak Resort. Tim, Lee Anne, and Tallon were fantastic hosts—warm, welcoming, and always happy to help. The resort is very comfortable, and the open restaurant area is a great place to relax, enjoy a meal, and meet other guests. The food was excellent, the service was consistently friendly, and the surf at both Inside and Outside Ekas was awesome. I'd definitely recommend Ombak Resort to surfers visiting the area and hope to return myself one day.

Bei Lee-Anne, Tim und Tallon hat man sich vom ersten Moment an wie zuhause gefühlt. Sie waren unglaublich freundlich, herzlich und hilfsbereit. Während meines Aufenthalts wollte ich Kitesurfen gehen, und sie haben alles für mich organisiert vom Transport zum Kite Beach bis hin zum Kontakt mit der Kiteschule. Dadurch konnte ich einfach entspannen und die Zeit in vollen Zügen geniessen. Wenn ich nicht so weit weg wohnen würde, käme ich ganz bestimmt wieder. Vielen Dank für die wundervolle Gastfreundschaft

I had an excellent two-week stay in mid-April and would gladly return. The staff make this place special—consistently cheerful, professional, and welcoming. Over time, they begin to feel more like friends than staff. Management clearly cares about the guest experience and goes above and beyond to keep things running smoothly. They provide transport to the surf: a short truck ride to the beach, then a boat to Inside Ekas. The boat stays the entire session. There’s also a great beach break for longboarding or beginners. Surf conditions were consistently good throughout my stay. Snorkeling at Pink Beach is a must-do activity. The included breakfasts were excellent. A great start before heading out each morning. The overall atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and authentic. An ideal base if your goal is to surf, unwind, and enjoy Lombok at a comfortable pace.

There was one minor coordination hiccup with a driver due to a miscommunication and lack of cellular service. Surfboard leashes snapped for several surfers including me, so bringing a strong spare is a good idea.

Such a Kool setting as well as cool with a breeze always blowing across the resort The team of Tim, Lee-Ann and Tallon and Local Staff are very welcoming each day for anything we needed at all , Access to local surf breaks , vehicle and boat transport, Big Shout out to our main man Adi for his daily energy and smiles.

The atmosphere is really, really nice. It's not too social (hostel style), but if you want, there are people to have a chat with in the lounge area or by the pool. This was the perfect mix for us. The daily surf communte also helps getting to know the people you're sharing the property with. The hosts are usually around all day, and happy to help out with any questions. I booked this place because of the daily transport to the surf and rental boards which worked out quite well. Note that the boat only goes out to Inside Ekas. There are multiple rental boards to choose from and scooters with boardracks available if you want to go surfing at a different time. Overall, I had some really good surf at both Outsides and Insides (but Inside Ekas can get crowded). We also visited Pink Beach (recommended!) and explored the surrounding area on a scooter which was a really fun thing to do.

We booked the 'king room with sea view' but the ocean is barely visible from the balcony (see photo). The road is right below the balcony and at night there is occasional traffic passing by that can be quite loud since the room is not well insulated. We're used to noise at night, but if you're a light sleeper, you're better off booking one of the poolside rooms which should be much more quiet. You will hear the mosque too, but that's everywhere. We thought the food was good, but a bit on the pricey side for Lombok standards.

We booked a week and loved it. Luckily they had a room for us so we could stay a few extra days. Grateful for all the help from the owners and staff to accommodate our wishes and needs in this beautiful location. My husband was able to surf and although I couldn’t this time, this was place was perfect for me too…Hanging out by the pool in the beautiful gardens with birds, listening to chill music (great playlists), enjoying the perfect temperature and tropical breeze, or checking out the views of the countryside and ocean. The food here was top notch, made from scratch and freshly baked goods. The Americano coffees we had each morning might be the best we have ever tasted in our 30 years of traveling. Wow! The snorkeling trip that they arranged for us from Pink beach was wonderful. Lots of fish and good visibility. Bonus to be welcomed by staff as if we were part of the family. Thanks again for sharing Ombak at Ekas with us.

It truly is a little oasis. A beautiful garden with a pool in the middle. Lee-Anne is taking a lot of care about the plants. The breakfast options are great and the overall restaurant menu. I liked the fact that they provide transport to the surf spot. The hosts are great and always helpful. You can get everything you need at the resort: Good food, free water refills, hire scooters, surfboards and even some necessities like toothpaste. Otherwise the location is rather remote, yet a couple of warungs are around in the little village. The internet is fast (Starlink), so I could get some work done. Just make sure to stay closer to the reception/restaurant if you have to rely on fast internet. The staff is super friendly and lovely as well.

As the rainy season just started, there were a lot of insects and also mosquitoes in the room. Even though we never left the door open, there was a little gap around the doorframe where they could get in. Also, the geckos in the roof would sometimes leave som poop on the bed, so I would have appreciated a mosquito net for the bed. The bungalows are a bit closer together than I expected with not a lot of visual covers, so sometimes it felt like not enough privacy when the curtains were open or when getting a massage on the terrace, but this didn't really affect my overall feeling about the stay once I got used to it and the other guests staying were discreet too.

A real oasis with wonderful hosts, great food and a beautiful surf spot. Our days there felt like home. Lee Anne, Tim and Talen run this place with so much humor, care and an impressively sure hand.

Both the owners and the staff are very friendly. The place is family-run, which makes you feel like part of the family during your stay at the resort. In my case, I went there to surf, so the experience really depends on the conditions. There are several good surf spots in the area, and if you have some experience, it’s best to rent a motorbike so you can move around depending on the forecasts. From the resort, you have the option to take a boat to Inside Ekas, but if that spot isn’t working, you’ll need to find your own way to one of the other spots. It’s definitely out in the countryside, and the local wildlife is part of the place, as it should be. The dog keeps the rat and lizard population under control, and the geckos take care of the cockroaches.

The weak point is the cleanliness. I think they could pay a bit more attention to that.

As soon as you enter the Resort you know you're going to be in for a beautiful stay. The welcoming staff and owners make you feel right at home. With a short stroll or bike ride down to many of the stunning quiet beaches and reef breaks, the location could not be better. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will definitely return soon.

We hadden een heerlijk verblijf in Ombak. De eigenaars zijn erg vriendelijk, net zoals hun fantastisch personeel. Het hotel ligt dicht bij het strand. Ze brengen surfers en surfborden elke dag naar het strand met de auto. Je kan er borden huren; voor ieder wat wils! Het is er kleinschalig en gezellig. De kamers zijn erg mooi en heel comfortabel. De bedden zijn super! De tuin met zwembad is heel mooi en aangenaam. Het eten is er heerlijk en in de straat zijn ook andere goede warungs. In de omgeving kan je ook prachtig snorkelen. We verbleven hier zo graag en kijken er naar uit om terug te komen.

Piccolo resort nella tranquilla zona di Ekas, penso il migliore nella strada dove si trova . Proprietari molto attenti e genuinamente gentili . Le camere sono 9 noi abbiamo alloggiato in quella sopra al ristorante che ha una bella terrazzina. Ambiente informale dove tutto è ben organizzato , dall’ottimo ristorante alle uscite per il surf , si possono noleggiare tavole e motorini. Noi non abbiamo surfato ma la spiaggia vicina è molto bella e comoda . La zona di Ekas la consigliamo a chi cerca surf e relax in quanto a parte qualche guest house e warung non c’è altro . Stanza grande , bagno grande , buon condizionatore, portatevi i tappi per le orecchie perché la moschea vicina si fa sentire di notte .

The surfing situation is great! Board rentals, car to the beach and boat to the break two times per day. The overall vibe of the resort was great!

Our room was very dirty. Gecko droppings everywhere. Stained bed sheets. I understand that it is a rural area, but we expect the old droppings from before our stay to be cleaned before we moved in. We had to notify the crew two times before the room was properly cleaned. We also hade several cockroaches in the room. Our room was also next to the pool pump which made the “balcony area” outside our room not usable due to noice.

Situation a l'écart de la ville donc pas de réveil au milieu de la nuit. La nourriture et le bar tout était excellent, mention spéciale au dragon fruit shake. Je recommande à 100%

The owners were friendly and generous, and the staff excellent. They all took pride in their work. The rooms were the nicest I stayed in my whole time in Indonesia. Wish we had more time to enjoy them. I had two massages while there - both excellent. Food was really good. There was daily transport to the surf to coordinate with the tides. A real friendly and family atmosphere with the guests. We had a fabulous time.

We had a wonderful week at Ombak! Tim, Lee-Anne and Talon we‘re so so friendly and lovely. We could ask them everything and everytime. The stuff also was so friendly and respectful. The food was more than good!!! Especially the Indonesian food was great! Tim helped us with searching for the right surf boards and drove us to the beach 🏄🏽‍♀️ it was a lot of fun! (Two times a day) Feels like a five star resort. We felt so comfortable the whole time. Thanks for everything guys ✨🤍☀️

Fantastic location away from the crowds and looked after so well by the owners, family and staff. Excellent food, great rooms with plenty of space and cool shady areas to relax when not surfing.

Good choice of boards, with good advice from the master of the place. nice choice of breakfast, with a few explicit gluten free options, not frequent on Lombok. Beautiful chill set up, with many cute little seating areas. good vibes. Good wifi (not always granted on Lombok)
