La posizione è stupenda, è accanto al mare…sei nel mare… alla mattina ti svegli e puoi fare il bagno in mare… per chi cerca relax e svago è l’ideale. Il proprietario Dimitris è gentilissimo, ti accoglie con un sorriso tutte le mattine a colazione La spiaggia di Mylopotas è fantastica, ci sono ristoranti vicini. Spiaggia libera o attrezzata. La fermata dell’autobus è difronte alla struttura e’ comodissima.

Aprire le finestre e trovarsi il mare sotto al balcone è meraviglioso. Pulito e tipicamente greco come location. Mare da favola e tutto a portata di mano, anche i bus. Noi però abbiamo preso una macchina a noleggio

Όλα ήταν τέλεια! Συνιστάται ανεπιφύλακτα.

Η τοποθεσία ήταν καταπλικτική. Έχεις θέα όλη την παραλία του Μυλοπότα. Υπήρχε ένα πολύ φιλικό κλίμα φιλοξενίας και ο κος Δημήτρης είναι πολύ εξυπηρετικός και πρόθυμος να βοηθήσει και να δώσει πήροφορίες για το νησί και για δραστηριότητες.

Η Γοργονα εγινε το αγαπημενο μας καταλυμα!Απο την πρωτη στιγμη επικοινωνια με τον κ Δημητρη ηταν υπεροχη και χαλαρη.Τα δωματια ειναι εξαιρετικα καλογουστα φτιαγμενα με την τελεια θεα και φυσικα την αμεση προσβαση στην αγαπημενη παραλια του Μυλοποτα.Καθε δωματιο εχει το δικο του χαρακτηρα πανω σε μια ομορφη κοινη βαση.Λατρεψαμε την απιστευτα ομορφη θεα απο το μπαλκονι και την τελεια λειτουργια και αισθητικη του ντουζ.Τα κλιματιστικα λειτουργουν αψογα και αθορυβα.Σιγουρα,σιγουρα θα επιστρεψουμε και ανυπομονω ηδη.Ευχαριστουμε για ολα.

Ένα υπέροχο κατάλυμα μπροστά στην θάλασσα, πολύ όμορφη θέα από το δωμάτιο. Το δωμάτιο πολύ όμορφα διακοσμημένο και με ότι χρειάζεται για άνετη και όμορφη διαμονή. Ο ιδιοκτήτης κ. Δημήτρης και το προσωπικό ήταν πάντα ευγενικοί και με πραγματικό ενδιαφέρον για την διαμονή μας. Το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα!

Excellent location. Very clean rooms with beautiful sea views. The owner and staff are extremely welcoming and lovely people. Really enjoyed my stay.

Superbra läge. 5m till stranden, 40m till bussen som går till hamnen och stan. Lite musik från Farout men den lägger ner vid 22 så det är mer åt det positiva hållet. Bra frukost. Kanonvärde.

Il proprietario Dimitris gentilissimo e sempre disponibile. Ci ha dato ogni tipo di info. Vista dalla camera sulla spiaggia bellissima. Letto comodissimo, non grande ma più che sufficiente.

La spiaggia è per i giovani e c'è un locale che fa musica fino alle 22.00. Però poi cala il silenzio e ci si gode il mare e la luna

Fantastically located just a short walk from the beach, hike road, with restaurants and shops right on your doorstep. The standout of our stay was Dimitrie, whose warm hospitality and genuine care for every guest made us feel truly welcomed from the moment we arrived. He even went above and beyond by upgrading to a beautiful suite a generous gesture we were so grateful for. Highly recommend!

A bit loud music from the closeby club

We had a wonderful stay at Gorgona. The owner is an incredibly kind and welcoming man who always greeted us with a smile and made us feel truly at home. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly, cheerful and hardworking. The location is perfect with breathtaking views of the sea and Mylopotas Beach. The terrace is absolutely lovely, a perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The room and bathroom were very clean and everything was well maintained. The atmosphere was cozy, peaceful and welcoming throughout our stay.

The only small downside was that there was some noise from Farout. However, the music stopped fairly early and it didn’t disturb us too much. Since Ios is a popular destination for young travelers it’s also worth being a little extra careful when driving at night as there can be groups of young people walking along the road after parties.

If you are looking for a sterile, corporate resort, look elsewhere, but if you want a slice of genuine paradise bursting with charm, this beachside hotel is absolute perfection. You cannot get any closer to the ocean without sleeping in a boat, and stepping directly from your cozy, character-filled room onto the sand each morning was a dream. What truly makes this place unforgettable, however, is the owner—the most loving, wonderful older gentleman who pours his entire heart into the property and treats every guest like family. It felt less like a standard hotel stay and more like visiting a dear friend's private beach cottage; we left with a tan, a relaxed mind, and a plan to return as soon as humanly possible!

All of it was perfect, rooms, food, hopsitality. There were bugs obviously but its Greece and youre near the wilderness lol.

The location to the beach.

Un rêve éveillé. L’hotel parfait pour vivre des vacances au calme et dans un cadre idyllique. Les chambres sont adorables et bien agencées. Les hôtes Margarita et Dimitri sont adorables. Le petit déjeuner se compose de produits locaux choisis avec soin, un vrai plaisir. De plus l’arrêt de bus est juste en face de l’hôtel ce qui permet de relier facilement Chora en quelques minutes

Eine großartige Unterkunft mit Top-Lage am Ende des großen Strandes. Sehr, sehr freundliche Gastgeber, tägliche Reinigung des Appartements. Kleines aber feines Frühstücksbuffet mit Produkten von der Insel. Jederzeit wieder!

Wenn man einen Minus-Punkt finden will, dann die Open Air-Disco in der Nähe, die die Bässe am Wochenende ordentlich wummern lässt. Aber um Mitternacht war Ruhe und, hey, es ist Ios. Wer durchgehend Ruhe will, muss in den Harz 😉

Great location by the beach and by the best restaurant this side of the island. The room was also spacious, clean and A/C worked well.

Limited breakfast options. The balcony door couldn’t be left open, as the wind was blowing them shut. Also, the hotel is close to the busiest beach bars in Ios, which means music until very late.

“First of all, I would like to thank Dimitris and all the staff. The location was incredibly convenient for us young people; there was no need to rent a car. The breakfast was delightful, the cleanliness was excellent, and the facilities were very satisfying. This is definitely a place I would love to come back to.”

La struttura è in una posizione fantastica. Tutto è curato nei minimi particolari, colazione abbondante e gustosa. Volendo ti offrono anche il caffè espresso. Margherita e Dimitri sono sempre a disposizione, due persone eccezionali e gentilissime. Siamo state benissimo e sicuramente ritorneremo!

Ακριβώς πάνω στην παραλία βρίσκεται το κατάλυμα , για όποιον ενδιαφέρεται να βρίσκεται όλη την ημέρα στην παραλία , νομίζω είναι ό,τι καλύτερο έχω βρει μέχρι τώρα. Το δωμάτιο αν και μονόκλινο ήταν πολύ άνετο , όπως και το μπαλκόνι, που έβλεπε στην παραλία. Το προσωπικό πολύ εξυπηρετικό, μου έδωσαν ουσιαστικές πληροφορίες για το νησί. Το πρωινό ξεχώριζε, διότι είχε προϊόντα που δεν τα βρίσκεις εύκολα σε άλλα ξενοδοχεία: σπιτική λεμονάδα, γνήσιο θυμαρίσιο μέλι, υπέροχο ελαιόλαδο! Όταν θα ξαναέρθω στην Ίο, θα επιδιώξω να κλείσω πάλι σε αυτό το κατάλυμα!

We stayed at Hotel Gorgona in Ios looking for a simple and authentic Greek experience, and it turned out to be beyond our expectations. The property has an excellent location, with terraces overlooking the beautiful Mylopotas beach – a view worth the trip on its own. Just a few steps from our room we had everything we could ask for: the best fish taverna on the island, boat tours, great beach clubs, and the bus stop to the port and Chora. Everything was within walking distance, peaceful and stress-free. Breakfast was another highlight, with simple but high-quality products that made every morning enjoyable. Most of all, Margherita and the owner Dimitri were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, making us feel at home from the very first moment. If you are looking for a genuine, simple, and relaxing stay in the true Greek atmosphere, Hotel Gorgona is the perfect choice.

Posizione imbattibile su una bellissima grande spiaggia dal mare trasparentissimo,ben servita con ristoranti e beach bar stupendi e la migliore taverna di pesce dell’ isola. Colazione completa con varietà di prodotti autoctoni servita con grande disponibilità dei gestori. Addormentarsi e svegliarsi col rumore del mare e’ stato fantastico. Pulizia impeccabile.

È’ stato tutto perfetto,ben al di sopra delle aspettative: siamo stati accolti con grande calore umano e ci torneremo molto volentieri. Posto Consigliatissimo. Grazie a tutto il personale, Dimitris e Margherita,siete super!!!

Staying here was very special. The Hotel is on a beautiful , long, beach with all the colour blues you can imagine in the water. Lovely for swimming and snorkelling and walking. I came with two teenagers and they loved the time in the water under the sun. Watersports right there if you wanted it and a lovely seafood restaurant nearby. At midday when it is best to stay out of the sun we relaxed in the dining area/ lounge or outside under umbrellas playing cards and enjoying the sea breeze. All just bliss. Beautiful breakfast, one can sit inside overlooking the ocean or outside and soak up the view. Dimitri and his staff are so friendly and kind, genuinely caring from the heart, one feels so welcome . I will hold this experience close in the coming months when I am back at work. I totally recommend this Hotel if you want to relax in Ios and if you like the sun and the blue ocean and warm-hearted people.

The property was beautiful and located right next to the beach with a great view from the balcony. The Breakfeast in the morning was lovely and the owners were also very kind.

That spirit comes straight from Dimitris, who pours his heart and soul into the hotel. You can feel it in the lovingly preserved traditional interiors – from the charming curtains to the authentic décor – everything reflects the real, timeless Greece. This isn’t the type of place where you’ll find Nespresso machines, designer toiletries, private plunge pools, or branded beach towels in fancy hotel bags. But that's exactly the greek charm – instead, you get a spotlessly clean, romantic, traditional, and absolutely enchanting atmosphere that touches your heart. The rocks behind the hotel and the sea in front of it are breathtaking. The breakfast room is another delight – a picturesque space with beautiful windows that left us speechless every morning. Right outside the hotel, apart from the sea and a charming little fishermen’s taverna, there’s also a very convenient bus stop. Buses run frequently and take you across the island, including to the capital, Chora. We loved everything about the Gorgona. Location, management, team, cleanliness. We felt like home. It was one of the best holidays. So relaxing and comfortable. Bus stop is next door, beach is in front of you, nice restaurant nearby, great location and view. And the team is amazing. They are so helpful and friendly. Don’t miss the chance and book it asap!

Spacious rooms and bathroom with the most amazing view and the location must be Ios best location! The staff are the best! This place is a hidden gem in the beautiful island of Ios! The whole family loved our one week stay and will definitely come back!

We had a really nice stay at Gorgona! The hotel is in a great location, the room is very nice and the hotel has a great view of the sea: but the best thing about our time at Gorgona was the absolutely lovely family managing the hotel. Breakfast was also really fantastic. 100% would stay here again.

Amazing location and staff, will stay again!

The place looks exactly as the pictures. You just go down the stairs and the beach is right there. The room has everything you might need, its nice and clean and super comfortable to hang out in the terrace. The bus from the port drops you off right at the entrance!

We tought the breakfast could have had a couple more options of vegetables and fruits, since it only had one of each and some tipe of eggs other than just boiled

This is just the perfect place for your stay in Ios. It is right on the main beach, the owners are the sweetest people on earth and everything just feels like a dream. The terrance overlooks the sea and it is super relaxing to just stay there and enjoy the view. I would totally recommend staying here!!

The location was perfect had an amazing view of the beach and the bus stop was right outside I didn’t expect to get breakfast with the stay which was great for the mornings the staff were very friendly. You do get noise from far out beach club but it closes before midnight so it’s very quiet I enjoyed it

I had to hold the shower head to have a shower.. most other rooms which my friends were in had much better shower facilities.
