I booked to do the yoga and meditation session which was great, just what I needed after a few days walking and socialising. The food was lovely. It is set in a beautiful location.
Some aspects of the hotel need a little TLC, especially the outdoors areas - fencing, gazebo's etc. Interior walls were quite thin which meant the rooms could be noisy.
Traumhafte Ruhe, Natur pur; freundliches Personal; Möglichkeit Schwimmbad, Sauna, Massage u.a.
Beautiful , comfortable , relaxing surroundings inside and outside.
Nothing
Maten!
Ganska dammigt i gemensamma utrymmen.
The facilities, staff, food and the tranquil environment was amazing.
Would be nice if it had a large hot tub or jacuzzi
The staff were second to none, exceptionally helpful and friendly, rooms were clean and comfy, the Spa and Pool area were very relaxing.
Lovely pool, steam and sauna.
The property needs so tlc and upgrades. We were staying for 4 nights during that time our bins weren’t emptied or cups washed. The breakfast was not great, very thinly cut melon then a choice from the menu. Any extras ie mushrooms etc €1.50! No information regarding spa treatments there was supposed to be a tablet in the room with this information - nothing.
Small but comfortable room. Very nice area, secluded and beautiful. The property is lovely. Lovely little bar.
Room was a little noisy, thin walls and doors. The coffee machine was broken. Tried to use it and it overflowed the cup. Had to leave early in the morning. Asked if we wanted breakfast to go, we said yes but it was not there so did not get breakfast. Lovely bar but we sat there and the guy behind the bar ignored us. We had to go order from the bar. I know normal in a pub but in a small room like this with only 2 other customers, table service would be nice. The girl who checked us in was nice, friendly. Other staff not all that friendly.
The breakfast was good and the location suited my needs
There seemed to be a wind vacuum in the passage when doors were opened/closed causing our door to make a rattling noise.
Property was serene and breakfast was very yummy. It is a good location to reach Glendalough early next morning. And if you want to visit Powerscourt gardens before arriving at the hotel and spa. Beds were comfortable. Staff very pleasant. Good parking.
Nothing really to dislike. The rooms are not air conditioned and was fine forehand visited but could get warm in summer months.
Nice calm setting
Beds very uncomfortable
Cleanliness, comfortable location and excellent staff the icing on the cake.
I thought the property excellent. Can’t make any negative comment
Very relaxing atmosphere
Would be nice to see dinner prices on menu but this is very minor
The pool was nice but spa facilities in general were poor. The food was lovely but service was very poor.
Very uncomfortable restaurant experience - we booked in for 8.30 and there was only one other couple in the restaurant who we were sat beside. We ordered a starter to share and two steaks for mains, with a bottle of wine. The other couple left as we were eating our mains and the waitress then switched off the music and stood waiting for us to finish mains. We were extremely uncomfortable. We ordered a dessert to share and again the waitress stood in view in silence just waiting for us to finish. Again - this was all before 9.30 on a Friday evening, bizarre. We ended up bringing the rest of our wine up to the cocktail bar as we felt so unwanted and rushed out of the restaurant. Very poor service, we won’t be back.
Location was amazing
Normally in a spa there would be water & fruit available in locations around the spa free of charge, there was not. The pool was tired and dated. The bath panel in our room was falling off and the shower made an awful noise.
Peaceful and relaxing
Should definitely think about adding an outdoor hot tub
Friendly and efficient check-in & -out. Good quality food and service (dinner and breakfast). Room was clean with a good shower.
Limited bar drinks, no draft or bottled Guinness! Only two loungers in the pool area and no warm plunge tub. Whilst the rooms were acceptable the property and grounds are in need of maintenance.
The setting that the hotel is in is beautiful with the stunning views of the Sugarloaf and surrounding mountains just there as well as the forest area. I enjoyed sitting outsideThere are a few little snugs and seating areas around the place for sitting and enjoying the views and taking them in. The restaurant was decorated lovely. I found the staff service there efficient and pleasant and the food was of good quality and tasted lovely. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The reception area and pool space are well presented. The forest trail was nice even though it isnt what you expect when you look at the map you're given. It's a ramp that leads through a forested area to an open meadow to walk around, which is a little disappointing but still a nice walk.
The cleaning staff are over keen. I was interrupted one afternoon by a knock to the door and a guy there giving me fresh towels which I didn't need. The second day I came back to my room after a walk and one of the cleaning staff was still in there making my bed and had moved some of my stuff. I did not like this invasion of privacy while staying there. They need to introduce do not disturb signs. I felt some of the areas, like the sensory garden, orchard gazebo, pathways leading to car park and secret garden looked tired and untended to, giving them a neglected feeling. I don't mind the fact that nature is allowed to take over somewhat but they're on the map as facilities that can be used so they probably could do with giving it a little more attention. Some of the pathways had the same feeling. Even though the room was clean and comfortable the sound proofing is terrible. I could hear my neighbours talking in their room, snoring at night and the extractor fan running when they used the toilet. It made me feel I also had to be quiet. During the afternoon I could hear hoovers going and doors slamming as the cleaning crew moved around so didn't feel very relaxed. The window overlooked a seating area and, even though the glass has been treated with privacy screening, you still feel that it's not private so I had to pull the curtains across for the duration leaving my room feeling dark and small. They need to have nets on the windows as an option. Overall I went wanting to relax but found myself wanting escape from my room during the day to get away from the feeling of busyness outside. I enjoyed being outside but if there is bad weather you'd be limited to where you could actually hang out and would be depending on the hotel facilities more. I didn't use the pool because I forgot to bring flip flops with me. It's E8 to buy a pair there. Feel they could offer complimentary slippers to walk around in.
Location was fantastic and loved the countryside.
We tried to book a treatment prior to staying and reached our 3 times with no response. There is no gym facility which would bring the health farm up on rating. The bedrooms are tired could do with updating.
Everything , it was relaxing and enjoyable and so near Avoca cafe for gifts and lunch
Not much maybe in evening a little more music but I get it’s a tranquil feeling
The scenery staff were friendly very peaceful.massage lovely
Room smell musty Room not cleaned properly Breakfast list outside restaurant advertised waffles and pancakes but not available Dinner menu same every night we were there
Pool, sauna, steam room, location.
Nothing
The location and ambience were outstanding, and the breakfast was lovely.
Price of the drinks was very high.
Breakfast was good and I had the added bonus of seeing a fawn on the lawn beside the breakfast room!
Dinner menu could have had more choice
The pool is small, there is no jacuzzi.
Beautiful surroundings. Steam room, ice bath lovely. Food lovely.
Bedroom very small. Double bed very small. Noise outside the door from early morning, near cleaning station I think. Breakfast service under staffed, little things like running out of juice/milk/bowls/glasses, waiting a while to be noticed. Tables very close together so no privacy with conversation.
A pleasant pause in a quiet environment. The staff were all very nice and the facilities are great. The quality of the food is remarkable and the rooms are very comfortable. Perfect for an escape from the pressure of city life.
We stayed here to visit family in the area. Still the calming atmosphere of the place wrapped around us. Really comfortable. Welcoming staff and good communication. Delicious food. Easy parking. Excellent value for money staying in this area of Wicklow. Very happy.
Peaceful and clean
Not much atmosphere in the bar or dining area
Breakfast selection was small but nice. Beautiful grounds.
Checkin could be more efficient, checkin time too late and still room not ready. The bathroom vents were dusty, so could be cleaner. Room overpriced and stay wasn't value for money. Pool area didn't look inviting
This was in a great location for touring around Bray, Glendalough, Sugarloaf mountain etc.. Hotel was clean. Staff were mostly nice, particularly Magda who was particularly friendly and helpful.
Rooms were really hot at night, no air conditioning. Breakfast was lovely our first morning but not so good the following 2 mornings as eggs were overcooked. We had a person who was hard of hearing in our group but we were asked to be quiet when we were having an evening drink in the outside area which made us feel very uncomfortable
Multiple sitting areas and hiking trails. Lots of open space. Great food and lots of amenities.
Our room (104) window opened up to courtyard and public soling area and was loud most times if the day.
The.food. every meal served piping hot. Food & Drink very reasonably priced.
Sad to see some of the picnic tables and gazebo doors broken on forest trail. Would like a jacuzzi
Breakfast was good but I’m on a fibre free diet so most of it was unsustainable for me . However the others enjoyed their breakfast.
I had salmon which was overcooked.
The grounds were amazing. The food was excellebt as well.
We.would of booked treatments bit no info at all was given. Accordingly there were meant to be tablets to book in each room, but they got rid because they didbt work. Some info on treatments in room would be hamdy or even at reception. Got told more about alpaccas than what was available. Same as restaraunt no idea what 2 or 3 courses cost. For such a lovely place its amazing they dont seem to bother pusjing the massages
Spa was nice. Good setting in the location.
Place wasn’t tidy or clean. Do not recommend staying here. We stayed one night and within our room was a towel with human poo stains on it. We didn’t make a fuss and told the front desk. No attempt to rectify the situation at all and after leaving we were told the manager was going to give us a call but it’s been several weeks since. The whole place just wasn’t well kept and lack of effort with the customer service was really disappointing
Location is amazing out of town in a beautiful area.hotel is on one level with beautiful gardens ..pool is lovely with a sauna and steam room outside is another sauna with two outdoor baths one hot one cold.Breakfast was great with lovely fresh fruit and a choice of hot dishes which were cooked to order.Staff were so friendly everyone we met had a smile and a greeting.
Room a little small and dark ..
The location was ideal and it was a super quite space. The waiting staff in the restaurant were amazing and the food was great.
Unfortunately this place fell short of the expectations of a ‘Health Farm’. There was an overall feeling that the place is cutting many corners and is operating on the cheap. We were first put into a room where the shower didn’t have a full door resulting in water flowing into the bathroom and then also into the actual room. The toilet also wouldn’t flush fully. The wifi also wouldn’t work at all in the room. We then informed reception and were informed we could change rooms the following day. This was great, however the attitude of the staff wasn’t the best, regarding the wifi we were told “well it’s working on my phone”. In the bathrooms there was only 2&1 shampoo and conditioner, only soap at the sink. For a spa and heath farm I would expect better toiletries. On the website it states that there is daily yoga, meditation and forest sound baths. However, when we inquired about these services we were told they now only operated on the weekends as there were not getting the numbers during the weekdays. This was disappointing as it was one of the reasons we chose to stay here. The reception staff were rude and when we would inquire about additional activities or services we felt that we were creating issues for them. The manager also came to speak with us. However the timing couldn’t have been more awkward, unprofessional or uncomfortable. My partner and I were sitting enjoying the hot tub and she came out to us and decided this would be a great time to chat to us about the issues we were having. I was extremely uncomfortable as she was standing over us in nothing but our swim wear.
Great layout of the establishment gave it the feeling of resort focused on unwinding and relaxation. Very calm and quite atmosphere.
Poorly maintained outdoor walking paths show potential for improvement, adding to the tranquil atmosphere of this place. The meadow walk is very relaxing.
The staff are so friendly and the ambiance all around so cozy. The breakfast was amazing. Excellent quality.
Not that I didn’t like, it’s more as a suggestion… at the car park, a simple walk socket to charge an electric car. It doesn’t need to be a proper car charger. Overnight, the customer can have few extra miles and it would cost almost nothing to the hotel.
Everything! Especially the food, I was a small but worried about going to a health farm but the food was fantastic. The location was very peaceful and scenic.
Leaving!

The location and set up are beautiful. The staff were very friendly and professional. The massage was great. Great opportunities for unwinding all around you. The pool area is lovely as was the addition of plunge pools and outdoor sauna . The beds were very comfortable.
Some areas eg carpet and showers could do with an update. The starters we had were a bit bland and my Mams chicken was very over cooked so the food wasn’t amazing for dinner but good value.
Nice,relaxed atmosphere
Lack of wifi in the general local area.
Such a peaceful and tranquil place to rest and rejuvenate.
Location, scenery all amazing. Can be boring though, I would have liked more water features, books to read, better menu- extremely expensive food.
My room wasn’t ready and had to wait in foyer. There was a WiFi issue and they didn’t know about my booking.
First visit and we will definitely be back. Loved the location for exploring Wicklow and really enjoyed our stay here. The resident Alpacas Frank, Charlie and George were great to meet. We loved the spa area with the bonus of a plunge tub :) Food was amazing too both breakfast and dinner.
Nothing. We couldnt fault our stay
Sehr gepflegtes Wellness-Hotel mit allem was man braucht.
Adult setting. Resort was quiet.
Thin walls, could hear neighbours talking and snoring. Beds were very hard and so were the pillows. Internet barely worked.
Everything was perfect from the time of arrival ,check in , the views , the food , the room , Everything was so relaxing, wish we booked an extra night ,
Very relaxing, nice food, beautiful grounds, great shower.
Everything was very enjoyable
Breakfast was very good choice Location was great
The out door space
The location is beautiful, there was alpacas and deer that you can see pretty close up. Places to relax, swimming pool, gardens. I would recommend for a relaxing getaway.
