Lamrin Boutique Cottages was the perfect base for a restful, restorative two weeks in Rishikesh. The cottage was spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully presented, with comfortable, elegant living spaces that made it easy to relax and unwind. The location struck an ideal balance — peaceful and quiet, yet within easy reach of the town and the river. What truly set the stay apart, though, was the staff. Anil, Kuldeep, Mahesh, Surendra and Sunaina could not have been more warm, attentive or genuinely kind. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their hospitality made me feel completely at home. Even when I became ill and needed medical attention, the staff quickly and professionally organised help for me that could not even match how quick I would have got attention back in the UK! A heartfelt thank you to them all.

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. It strikes the perfect balance—incredibly central and within walking distance to everything, yet tucked away enough to offer complete peace and quiet from the city’s chaotic crowds. The service here is unmatched. The staff was insanely helpful and available to assist with anything in an instant, and the manager was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Another major highlight was the food—delicious, authentic, home-cooked meals that made the stay even more special. Rishikesh itself was crazy hot and crowded during my visit, which made coming back to this quiet, air-conditioned sanctuary at the end of the day an absolute blessing. I couldn’t find a single fault with the property or the hospitality. Highly recommended!

I didnt like anything apart from the location, the photos are taken under alterations and place doesn’t look like the photos, u may have to climb 3 floors to get to ur room which might not be suitable for some pppl on a holiday, the spa was disappointing, they never mentioned that spa is not on their property but in another bunglow in the aame society, and when we went for spa , there were ppl who didn’t belong in the spa, and inside the spa room there were 3 therapist and i could here them giggling and using phone while the massage was being done, overall this property was a scam

We had a wonderful stay at this boutique property. The team and food were excellent, and everything was thoughtfully customisable to our preferences. The stay felt warm, homely and extremely comfortable. A special mention to the courteous staff, who truly went out of their way to help with anything we needed and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay.

While the location is good and conveniently close to the ghat, the access route involves a fairly steep climb up and down, which may be challenging for some guests( mentioned by many others too) The cleanliness and upkeep could also be improved slightly to make the overall experience even better.

Its a boutique villa apartment converted to a cottage. Great location, away from the maddening traffic but walkable to the Ganges. Modern with a little antique touches ,clean. Staff were very kind and accommodating. Breakfast limited choices but very tasty.

Das Personal ist wirklich außergewöhnlich ☺️ Fokussiert, zuverlässig, hilfsbereit, aufmerksam, herzlich, freundlich und sehr engagiert. Wir wurden verwöhnt! Die Angestellten sind liebevoll auf unsere individuellen Bedürfnisse eingegangen … so etwas haben wir noch nie in Indien erlebt, und wir waren schon sehr oft hier. Wir haben echte, nicht aufgesetzte, Herzlichkeit gespürt. Und besorgte Anteilnahme und diskrete Hilfe bei gesundheitlichen „fernreisetypischen“ 🤪 Problemen. Die sehr zentrale Lage, in angenehmer Laufnähe zu Ram Jhula, Janki Setu und Ganga ji, ist optimal. Durch die höhere Lage am Hang ist man trotzdem in einem ruhigen und friedlichen„Kokon“ untergebracht. Wir haben hier fantastisch und vom Strassenchaos unbehelligt geschlafen. Das Anwesen ist sehr gut geschützt und wird rund um die Uhr sehr zuverlässig bewacht. Wir könnten Romane verfassen 😎, daher nun eine Zusammenfassung: Wunderschöne Cottages mit sehr gemütlichen und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten Zimmern. Unser Bett war extrem bequem! Alles ist sehr sauber und sehr gepflegt. Tägliche Reinigung. Wunderbares authentisches indisches Essen (auch hier wird sehr individuell auf Wünsche der Gäste eingegangen), entweder im Zimmer serviert oder im Erdgeschoss: Auch hier mega-entspannt und sehr privat. Eine sehr elegante, sehr friedliche und spirituelle Atmosphäre und Einrichtung, ganz wunderbar zu Rishikesh passend. Wir haben uns so wohlgefühlt … vielen lieben Dank für die wunderschöne Zeit bei Euch 🙏❤️😊

The staff were great and the place is situated in a peaceful leafy residential area away from the busy main road. A wonderful retreat place.

There is a steep climb from the river area up to the guest house. It wouldn't be ok for people with mobility issues and in the summer heat it is quite a feat.

A beautiful place to stay in Rishikesh. The location is peaceful and quiet, yet conveniently close to the Ram Jhula bridge. The staff are outstanding—always helpful and quick to respond. The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Highly recommend staying here!

The bed was amazing. The room was very quiet, I was on the top floor. The bathroom was big (& clean). Outside my room was an outside balcony with nice views. The staff were very helpful. They carried my heavy bag up the stairs. When I left they arranged for transport across the river to the other side. Not far to walk (along the river) to the bridge (Ram Jhula) to the other side. They provide a laundry service which was returned the same day to my room on my return.

All good. The breakfast wasn’t to my taste but very minor detail.

I would like to praise and recommend this wonderful hotel, clean to the highest standard. It is difficult to find such clean places in India. When you enter, there is a wonderful smell both in the hotel itself and in the rooms. The rooms are very pleasant. Nice tiled floors. A large room. Large and clean shower and bathroom, with everything you need, including a toothbrush and slippers. Excellent room service. Breakfast is the highlight. What thoughtful, balanced food is suitable for everyone and is very fresh and served like kings. But most importantly, the personal service. I would especially like to praise Kuldeep, who gave me the most personal attention. He answered all my requests and helped me with everything I asked for, even beyond what was required. A huge thank you for giving me a feeling of home and great security. The hotel is much more than a 10!!

De kamer was ruim, een groot en aangenaam dubbelbed. We hebben er heel goed geslapen. Lamrin ligt wat weg van de drukte, in een buurt die ommuurd is, met 24/7 een conciërge aan de poort. Heel veilig dus. (Indisch) ontbijt was lekker en verzorgd. Zeer vriendelijke staff. Kuldeep Negi is goed Engelstalig en geeft je graag de nodige uitleg over de stad, vervoer, etc. Heel behulpzaam. Ze werken ook samen met een heel sympathieke, stipte en correcte tuktuk driver. Sterk aan te raden.

A truly exceptional stay, we booked it for my boyfriend’s birthday and we couldn’t have chosen any better. The hotel is enclaved up in a hill, it’s a little piece of calm in the middle of Rishikesh, while also being super easy to get into trendy Tapovan. The attention and treat by the staff were outstanding, the room was comfortable and super clean, and the breakfast was the cherry on top (must try the Chole Bhature!). We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Rishikesh. Thank you all for everything!

Lamrin is the perfect location for a serene retreat in Rishikesh while still being close enough to the major bridges, ashrams, Ganga aarti ceremonies, and shopping and restaurant areas. Richa and her excellent staff provide the most attentive, friendly, and punctual service you could hope for.

מדובר בחדר בבית מאוד מאוד נעים, נקי, מוגן בגדר חשמלית ושמירה, החדר נקי ונעים , מקלחת נהדרת, מאוד נוח.ובצמוד לו יש מרחב ציבורי עוד יותר נעים, שקט. קבלת פנים יפה, צוות מקסים! באמת עושים כל שניתן לעזור ולהנעים השהייה. האוכל טרי טרי וטעים! האוכל המקומי עוד יותר טעים!

המחיר מאוד יקר, מבחר ארוחת הבקר מצומצם מאוד, שיעורי יוגה לא היו ולא הוצעו וטיפולים אין בנמצא, אלא במתקן אחר ובמחירים גבוהים, פי-2 מכל מקום טוב אחר ברישיקש. חסר היה לי הסבר על איך הדברים מתנהלים מבחינת הארוחות ובכלל.

Property was very clean and modern, bed was so comfy! The air conditioning stopped working for a small amount of time but they had a tech in straight away to fix it.

There’s a walk up a hill to get from the river, but it is the case with the vast majority of properties around here. We liked the fact it was not in Tapovan proper, but close to stalls, food, the river and the Ramjhoula.

I had booked this cottage for my parents. I hadn’t stay there myself but the service I had in the build up and also during when my parents were there was impeccable. Highly attentive and they were very well looked after helping them do what they needed to do with the change of weather. The cottage looks very clean and cosy whilst being comfortable and homely!

Die Anlage mit den einzelnen Cottages mit jeweils 3 oder 4 Zimmern liegt etwas abseits in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Die Zimmer sind groß und geräumig, die obere Etage hat einen Balkon mit Blick in den begrünten schönen Innenhof. Leider war die Klimaanlage in unseren Zimmer etwas zu laut. Das Frühstück a la Carte ist sehr lecker und groß in seiner Auswahl. Die Küche im Cottage ist einfach sehr toll, alles organic und wird frisch zubereitet. Das es dadurch alles etwas länger dauert, sollte unbedingt kommuniziert werden. Gerade wenn man morgens abreisen möchte. Yoga wird ebenfalls 2 x täglich im Hotel angeboten. Hier war schade und etwas ärgerlich, dass die vom Hotel organisierte Lehrerin zur vereinbarten Einzelstunde anstatt der vereinbarten Uhrzeit 6:30 Uhr erst 6:45 Uhr ohne Entschuldigung erschien. Ein absolutes no go!

At the end of a busy day we were happy to be back in our extremely comfortable and spotless room away from the hurly burly of the town centre. Kuldip who attended to us, did so with great efficiency and courtesy. We relished the breakfast during our stay as they prep from scratch and what reaches the table is utterly delicious and replete with local flavours, and served privately to you in the attached sitting room. This place added to the pleasure and quality of our Rishikesh stay. Keep up the good work!

While the cottage is in a calm secluded area, one does have to commute the extra distance to head to the sights. Also, it doesn't come cheap - the room rent is on the higher side.

Everything! It's a very amazing place to stay. Probably the best in Ram Jhula. Fantastic home like atmosphere and staff are kind and lovely. An amazing mix of culture with modern facilities. The food is divine and freshly cooked. From now on I will always stay here when travelling to Rishikesh

Since the accommodation is located in an elevated position, access from the town is a bit steep, but it offers a nice view.

I had only one night here, but it was a very good experience. Peaceful is the main word I would use, which is great when you have the crazy, hectic, streets only a few minutes walk away. The staff and service was top notch and the same with the food. The hotel has an extensive menu of home cooked Indian food and more. They also helped me with various extras like currency exchange. In general, a very comfortable stay in tranquil surrounding with comfy bed, spacey room size, and nice balcony.

Location is great . The property is located in a quiet enclave. The rooms were well appointed. Very nice bed and mattress. Clean bed linen of top quality. Bathroom was clean , with quality soap/shampoo etc. The food quality and taste is excellent. We loved the fact that they cook from scratch rather than have ready gravies , making the food taste fresh and it is light on stomach. Well done Chef and kitchen staff. Will I book this property again if I visit Rishikesh ? YES.

We had a wonderful stay, the team welcomed us with a tea and gave us very good recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing places. A small paradise in Rishikesh, the hotel is situated in the mountain away from the chaos of the city, but still walking distance to the centre. The breakfast they offer and the yoga class were the highlights for us. The bathroom and overall hotel are up to European standards, very comfortable and clean! A strong recommendation if you visit Rishikesh, specially as the first time experience in Indis.

Our recent stay at the Lamrin was fantastic! The room was good-sized with all the amenities and toiletries you’d expect in a boutique hotel. Room came with its own terrace and a lovely view. Service, led by the ever-helpful and friendly Kuldeep, was excellent. Staff go out of their way to help you here. The first evening we wanted to go for the Ganga aarati, and one of the staff, Sunena came with us and showed us the where to sit for a perfect view of the aarati. Next day when I wanted to know where to take a dip in the Ganga, they sent a staff to accompany us all the way, to and from the river! Breakfast was very good. It’s not a buffet breakfast so you have to choose from the menu and inform them a few hours before, ideally the previous night. Once you book they contact you on WhatsApp to keep in touch. They ask for prepayment of a token sum to hold the reservation btw, it was new to us but apparently it is to prevent misuse. But once you book, you wouldn’t want to change your mind. Highly recommend it!

Nothing much really. They request pre payment which was new to me but it's a reasonable request is what I gather after chatting with them. The directions can be a bit tricky but you can call the property to clarify.

The room was very clean and spacious, and the manager and staff were very courteous.

The geyser didn’t function very well because we weren’t getting hot water on our second night even after keeping it on for 15-20 mins. The wifi was also incredibly slow.

The experience at the cottages was fantastic and we were able to spend a very good time. The property is clean very homely and the staff is wonderful and takes care of you for every small need Richa ji in particular is extremely helpful and always present to attend to you she’s also an excellent yoga teacher and provides free yoga lesson in the garden Every morning. What is exceptional is the quality of food which is extremely tasty and healthy the prices may be a little higher on the side, but overall the quality is very good especially if you have issues you can be rest assured that you are eating at a safe place. It is also so close to the river. You just have to do a small little hike for 300 mettre down the road from the hotel down to Ram Jhula and the cards are right in front. One little thing is that while searching on Google use the Lamrik resort signs because sometimes the Google map causes problems if you’re using a custom location sent by the staff.
