Reviewed Sep 10, 2026The hotel is very conveniently located near the railway station, and access to the main tourist attractions (temples) is very easy. The room was clean, and the bathroom was equipped with everything that was necessary. There was a convenient way to leave our luggage.
The room was significantly overpriced, which might be a general issue in Nikko, but either way, the room was very small for the price.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026Das Frühstück war eine Katastrophe. Es gab verkochten Reis mit Soße und Toast. Das Bett war sehr durchgelegen. Die Zimmerausstattung sehr einfach mit OSB-Platten. Der Kühlschrank machte die ganze Nacht Geräusche. Es ist mehr ein Hostel als ein Hotel.

Reviewed Aug 26, 2026The room was much bigger than the business style hotels I have stayed in and had lots of natural light. The hotel was very quiet considering its proximity to the train station. A short walk to good eateries and vegetarian options were easy to find.The staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money. I walked to the World Heritage Site quite easily.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026Breakfast was varied and nutritious with delicious soup salad and hard boiled eggs. Cereal was an option too. The room is small but has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The tourist office is only a short walk and has train tickets bus passes and luggage forwarding offices, and there is a coin laundromat nearby too. The location is quiet and there is a view over the town and hills.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026It came with breakfast, which was a surprise for us. But after the third and fourth breakfast with the same range of food, we got a bit sick of it. The good thing is that since it is just a 5min walk to the supermarket from the hotel, we decided to add some things to make the breakfast more interesting. The organic peaches that were in season were one of the best we tried; we also added mini grapes to our salad and yuba from the supermarket to the daily soup. The inclusive breakfast was a great welcome, as it is a bit hard to get breakfast around the town if you intend to leave earlier to catch the buses. We also had two nights of excellent dinner just a 1-minute walk to a good izakaya, which needs booking. The local trout sashimi, sweetfish, sake, as well as yuba served here and many other small dishes were all excellent.

The bed and pillows were quite uncomfortable, and the soundproofing was poor, as we could hear guests in neighboring rooms. The amenities were also very limited and basic compared with other Japanese hotels in a similar price range.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026駅から徒歩５分とかからないので、とても便利。建物の外観は古さを感じますが、中に入ると明るく、部屋も清潔で快適でした。部屋着もフロントの横に置いてあり、無料で貸してくれます。友人と２人で、一部屋ずつ予約しましたが、当初に予約した別のホテルのツインの部屋よりもお得な価格で予約できました。このロケーションと部屋、そして無料の朝食が付いての価格と思うと、非常に高いコスパです。フロントの方も、明るくて感じが良いです。
正面の玄関がわかりにくく、入りづらい雰囲気でした。通用口かな？と思ってしまう。中の雰囲気や部屋が良いだけに、この玄関にギャップを感じてしまいました。

Y no entra el sol por las mañanas, cosa muy a tener en cuenta porque en Japón a las 5 de la mañana es como en España a las 12 jajaja. Por la zona hay muchos sitios donde comer y cenar súper barato.
Un poquito lejos del centro, pero de ahí que sea un hotel tranquilo.

Very strict rules and lack of flexibility - such as no food in the lobby, despite an instant noodle machine and microwave being put there; you also cannot have instant noodles in their breakfast restaurant space in the evening when it is completely empty and not in use. Staff not particularly helpful nor very welcoming. Bed was a bit uncomfortable.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026Ideale locatie vlak aan het station (trein en bus) en een grote supermarkt, op wandelafstand van de world heritage site. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk. Het hotel zelf is iets ouder, maar alles is prima in orde en heel proper. Een ontbijtje is inbegrepen in de prijs, wat ook een leuke verrassing was. De kamer is niet heel groot, maar zeker groot genoeg voor twee (grote) mensen en bagage.
Niet het beste bed en het gordijntje was niet verduisterend.

Reviewed Jun 9, 2026I liked the closeness to the train station and bus stop. It made exploring Nikko national park very easy. Breakfast was good. Same thing every morning, but that didn’t bother me. The ladies in the kitchen make a great potato salad.
I did not like the bed or pillows. Also the air conditioner made a bad clicking noise. I just opted to sleep with the window open to keep cool. Luckily it wasn’t too warm so I didn’t have to deal with the air conditioner noise.
